One of my favourite places as a child. Now I enjoy walking it and visiting my grandparents trees.

Such a pretty ravine.

Rows of cherry trees though it isn’t fully blossoming yet, unlike High Park probably it is colder here

Great place for a short walk. We walked from the community center to Brimley Road and also to the area with the cherry blossom trees. It is like a half an hour walk and hood spot for pictures. I recommend this place especially with kids and seniors.

Beautiful natural space, very nice trail for walking or cycling. We saw a rabbit, ducks and two deers

One of the best places near the Scarborough Town Centre to rejuvenate in the greens. The ravine sounds so soothing that it can relax your mind to the core by listening to its symphony along the walking trail. Enjoy your time here if you plan to visit during the summer and fall months.

No real private areas

The Birkdale Ravine is located in the watershed of Highland Creek - the most developed watershed in the Toronto region. However, due to its location and connectivity to other natural areas such as Morningside Park, Birkdale Ravine functions as a migration corridor for birds and other wildlife. Restoration efforts, including tree and shrub plantings, have been undertaken to protect and enhance this section of Highland Creek.

This Ravine is great for walking, riding a bike or ebike. It's very well connected to the area and other paths.

At the north side/entrance there's a community recreation center. On the other end there's a parking lot that can accommodate about 25 cars and a decent park with a rope climbing structure, swings and spinners.

Stay on trails. Keep dogs on a leash. Don't disturb plants or wildlife.

Great place to cycle through. There are winding trails and flat parts, making it perfect for beginners and seasoned bikers alike.

There were more cherry blossoms there than I expected. It was a pleasant experience since it was my first time there

Good park for seeing cherry blossoms in this park, there are about 45 trees. Close to Pomeroy Street, some parking near by. Not too many people.

This place is really nice during the sunny day ️ You could go for a run or maybe walk with your dog

Enjoy coming here for walks! Clean and peaceful. Fully packed path, which makes it accessible for all:)

It is a nice park but it had quite a foul scent lingering around which made the stroll seem extremely unpleasant and was not enjoyable, as well as litter everywhere, for example, there was litter in the ravines sadly and there was a huge bag of garbage that was thrown by the nearby greenery close to the parking area, I assume this is also contributing to the bad air quality. I don’t think this is safe for the animals and us park goers as well, i would strongly advise that park management should enforce these littering regulations with a lot more consequences involved.

It was a nice park for a walk and to see the Sakura trees. I did not go during the peak blooming time this year. The trees were much nicer near the end of April. I visited the park on Mother’s Day. Luckily I was still able to catch the last part of the Sakura before they fell to the ground. The park was really big and not too crowded. I was thankful that I don’t need to travel far to High Park to take nice photos of the Sakura trees. It was a gift to see these smaller trees. I could easily take beautiful photos of these Sakura closely.

Nice and easy walk. The cherry blossoms are must visit. There are no directions inside but you should find them easily by asking others or by exploring yourself. The blossoms are tiny bit past their peak but still spectacular. Do visit if you are around the area. Maintain distance and stay safe. Not too crowded.

Nice local trail. Short with cherry blossom on one side of the entrance, quiet, not many people around.

First time visiting yesterday after hearing about the cherry blossoms. Nice little park, great for quick afternoon walk. Thankfully it wasn't too busy. The trees in bloom were beautiful!

Really nice place for a short walk, many beautiful trees and flowers as well as the cherry blossoms at the end of the ravine.

Nice park, good place to relax and enjoy the calmness with the birds chirping in the background. Small little ducks as well in the water which runs by.

Ice covered trails, very strong smell of raw sewerage. Don't know if this was a winter only situation. We were unable to identify where it originated but was very strong near the stream & at every drain pipe location that emptied into the stream. Issues with the possible health side effects.

Would not visit again, would not recommend.

It's a beautiful spot to see the wildlife and explore. There are also 3 geocaches here, but we've only found one.

We found this little spot when we went in search of Cherry blossoms in Toronto other than HIgh Park. This is a nice park and we often come in spring and summer time to walk or bike around. The cherry blossoms trees are still young, so couldn't get very nice pics of cherry blossoms in 2019. Hopefully when they grow, we might be able to get a good view of cherry blossoms.

It's a nice and quiet place. New playground and workout area. I usually walk my dog there and he loves it. It's not too long and not too short of a walk. Picnic tables are rare which I think is why it's not overrun with people which is nice.

Beautiful ravine with gorgeous views! Lots of plants and trees which is nice to see in the city. There's a stream that usually has ducks- it's a very calming space to hang out in for a little while. I used to walk my dog there all the time and he loved all of the greenery and seeing all of the squirrels, birds and other animals in there. Many other people walk their dogs there so he loved meeting new friends everytime we would go! There is also a small playground for kids, as well as benches throughout. Beautiful ravine, I've always loved it in there.

Great local ravine and park area in Scarborough. Pedestrian and bike traffic, cement walkway right along a shallow waterway. Play areas/exercise areas for kids and adults. Can walk from Ellesmere over around and come out on Brimley.
Lots of bird activity, especially in Spring during the migration. Deer, great blue heron, hummingbirds, hawks, warblers, flycatchers, ducks, lots of butterflies to see, and tons of wild flowers Spring and Summer. Pretty winter or summer and a great place for a short walk.

Pleasantly surprised to see that this park also has cherry blossoms around 40+ trees and they had flowers.very nice and not crowded

A wonderful space to spend an evening. I had the opportunity to walk along the west highland creek and I must say it was very much a pleasant walk. The nice chilly weather along with the flowing stream add colors to it.
