A Toronto gem. They haven’t changed a thing here and I wouldn’t ever want them to. It’s affordable, delicious, Canadian-Italian food for the soul.

Really average pizza place. If your looking for a nyc style pizza this ain't it. But it will keep you full for the price.

Get the cheese panzerotti. You will not regret it unless you hate fried dough, sauce and cheese. Share it if you must, as it can be quite heavy.

Their pizza slice also hits the spot and is a relatively cheap meal in a pinch.

Came here for a late night panzerotti and it was pawtastic! We opted for a custom one with pupperoni, muttzarella, green peppers and mushrooms. It was so motherpupping doglicious - hot, fresh, and super cheesy!

To the dawg who recommended getting a side of marinara for dipping, THANK YOU! Made our panzerrotti experience just pawfect!

Overall, 5 woofs out of 5. Will definitely go back to try the pizza.

Straight up old school inside if your 38 or older you will have some nice flash backs of the old days once you walk in. The pizza might be the best pizza ever, this is a must try in my books. Mediocre pizza served by the terminator.it was a let down as i came here because of the good reviews, but was met with a cold unwelcoming attitude and under cooked pizza.

Ponzos still rock! Been coming here for almost 40 years. The only disappointing thing on this visit was I spent almost $50 on food and when she offered to put the ponzos in a box, she tried to charge me an extra $1 for it. She offered, and then secretly charged for it!

The service has definitely declined over the years unfortunately. I asked her if someone orders a $10 pizza would you charge them for the box? She said no. While I’m spending almost $50 and you want to nickel and dime me for $1? You’re also saving about four or five bags…do the math. Come on!

P. S the washrooms have been “under construction” for at least a year now!

Where do I even begin?

Over the last five years the price of a slice has doubled and the quality has significantly decreased.

I will highlight their decline to the best of my knowledge, and it would only be fair to assume that it's due to greed considering they own the building and don't have to factor in alot of costs that most small businesses attribute to their cost increases.

In 2015, a slice cost $3 flat.

In 2018, they raised the prices a bit to $3.50 which was fair for inflation. Shortly after, in that same year, they decided that raising their price wasn't enough, so they started charging "tax" something they clearly evade since it's a cash only business.

In 2023, they shut their doors for nearly 6 months due to a "fire" although not so much as a drill bit or hammer ever entered the premises for repairs. So on top of the questionable insurance claim funds they received, they would also gouge their customers a bit more.

Well, my hunger got the best of me and the convenience was enough for me to give them another shot, let bygones be bygones as they say. What a mistake that would be. $5.50 for a slice. A slice so rubbery, that my jaw (which was just previously on the floor from the prices) nearly locked.

This place is the goat for the deep fried panzo love that I normally get just the cheese ones that are ready to go

A classic old school pizzeria in Little Italy with a lot of charm. Their slices used to be my favourite, but I have been really disappointed with them lately as they have been on the dry side and lacking in pepperoni.

I received a warm and pleasant greeting from a lovely lady behind the counter. I ordered a pepperoni slice which was very fresh and delicious. I ended up taking a medium pizza home! I will definitely visit again

Simple, old-style place that only takes cash.
Pizza is relatively light. Not oily, and I didn’t feel like a lump of carbs after eating it which was great.

EDIT: I went back to try the Panzerotto and it was overhyped in my opinion. I can see why people would like it, but it was a mess to eat and very doughy. Speaking of the dough, it was quite sweet. 6.6/10 for the panzerotto.

Took a friend here to show off what I figured was the best pizza in the area and left embarrassed… the slices we got were super old and we didn’t end up even finishing them. Really disappointing: (

Disappointing based on the ratings the price. Ordered two full pizzas for delivery. It was a dry crust, as others have mentioned, and the toppings (pepperoni, sausage) seemed pretty low quality as well.

The taste is ok but the customer service is bad. It was a very busy day yesterday due to little Italy festival, you wait 15-20 minutes in line before you can order. Once you order the cashier tells you it needs 30 minutes and they give you a receipt with a number on it. Apparently the kitchen doesn't call out numbers and you have to manually keep checking when your food is ready. The place is packed with people both inside and outside! Not giving clear instructions nor calling out numbers created unnecessary jam and just made everyone wait longer for no good reason. My food was actually ready in 15 minutes but the bad coordination meant that we waited double that time just because the chef wouldn't bother calling out the number on the receipt.

Multiply that for the 30-40 customers waiting inside and outside and you get hours of wasted time. They can easily be more considerate in multiple ways.

I only figured out I needed to ask the kitchen because someone else did it, no one was given instructions and most people had to wait outside so I basically got lucky.

I used to order from them at least once a week for the past 3 years. I would order a plain pizza with extra cheese and it used to come with a generous amount of cheese on it, which is why I loved it.untill about 6 or so months ago when they got that new guy doing the pizza, who's REALLY stingy with the cheese. The extra cheese pizza barely comes with any cheese on it.

This place used to be a good pizza shop, but now it seems that it has changed. I ordered a pepperoni pizza today. It only has a layer of pizza sauce and a little bit cheese, and don't see a slice of pepperoni at all.

Don’t go expecting the same value and quality. Shocked and disappointed!
Have been going for years and the prices have always been reasonable considering the quantity of pizza you’re getting. For $30 one expects a party size pizza big enough to feed a family. This is the first time my family and I have Ifinished the pizza and still felt hungry. Wouldn’t be surprised if they changed the ingredient quality as well, as the pizza also tasted “different”.
After going today and ordering a party size pizza I was disappointed to find out the pizza was significantly smaller than normal. Asked for the pie well done and it was still raw while eating. Long time and loyal customers of this neighbourhood establishment be advised!

This is one of my favourite pizza places in the whole city. My partner and I order it on special occasions to celebrate, like our anniversary, birthdays, etc. Even getting a slice when I'm in the area feels like a special treat!

My parents used to go to Bitondo's when they started dating as teenagers. Now in my 30s I still go.

The pizza wasn't fresh but was good old school pizza but I'm sure if it was just out of the oven amazing. Their ponzos were amazing and the veal was really good very tender overall really good

Ordered this on UberEATS. The delivery time kept getting pushed back by 10 minutes for an hour. When it finally arrived I figured it be cold and terrible. It wasn't cold, but it was terrible.

I was surprised by the quality, to be honest. I've had the panzerotti and was impressed with it. I assumed an actual pizza would be very good, but nope. It was doughy, chewy, light on sauce and covered in cheese. Overall it wasn't very good. Oh, and I ordered pepperoni and I swear, there was probably no more than 10 on it.

Got the medium pizza with pepperoni and green peppers, great size for 2 people (and a little extras). I could really taste the difference in the quality of pepperoni and the crust was perfect.

Great pizza. Very good price for the size you can get, I had a large margarita and ordered using Uber. Drivers continued to cancel so the delivery was over an hour, however Bitondo's gave me a free panzo with the order, very good customer service.

Best fried calzone in Canada, hands down! Great lady behind the counter too, very friendly and welcoming.

Bitondo is recommended as serving something close to New York style pizza, and they do not disappoint. The slices are large and have a stretchy layer of tasty cheese. Under the cheese is just the right amount of fresh, watery sauce, bursting with that from-the vine fresh tomato flavour. My one nit-pick is that the dough is a little dense for my taste. It was thin crust, to be sure, but I prefer a more airy crust. On the other hand, a slice is very filling.

I also tried the panzerotti, which are only prepared in advance with cheese. And sooo much cheese! Panzerotti are fried, so they taste like a giant donut filled with gooey cheese and a little sauce. Definitely get the dipping sauce to go with it. The marinara dipping sauce seems to be different than the tomato sauce they use.

Be sure to bring cash, as cards are not accepted.

Today was our 2nd time grabbing pizza to go.and WoW.amazing taste and AMAZING workers.very kind and polite.its far from us but worth the drive for this pizza!

The food in this place is unreal! I love the veal sandwich with mushrooms and the classic pizza. I totally recommend this place to get authentic Italian food!

Don’t know what the fuss is all about. Grabbed a pepperoni slice and it was cold and dry. They don’t warm up the slice in the oven. When I asked, the server just said no.

3 generations of my family have been going here to eat their food. Definitely the best and panzo in Toronto!

My nonno used to go here a lot when my father was a kid. Father and I still go religiously for the panzos. Great restaurant with great folks behind the counter. I highly recommend the plain cheese panzos, the sauce is amazing! Pizza is good too!

Loved the sandwiches! One of those magical hole in the wall places. The interior probably looked the same 30 yeard ago. Maybe longer. Just so happened I wasnt there for interior design tips! My best friend married an Italian back in the day. He'd bring her for the veal sandwiches. And 25 years later she's letting me in on the secret.

One of the best OG pizza joints in the city. Always my go-to spot for pizza slices even if its across town.

Slice was great. Veal was old style. The best style. The Ponzo was fantastic! True Italian style. I have to come back more often!

Used to love this place. Has gone completely downhill. Dough inedible for the fourth time in a row. Just threw it directly in the garbage. What a waste.

Finally got to try this place, off the bat it has the old school mom and pop Italian pizzeria feel, I love it. I tried the cheese calzone and it was spot on. I really enjoy the slightly chewy dough, I actually wished there was a bit more dough because there was too much cheese not a bad issue. The cheese was super stretchy which was great and the sauce was delicious, it it was only like $6-$7, I'll be back.

Amazing place I love Bitondo pizzaria. 1 of the few classic Italian restaurants in the city. From the prep to the finished product you can taste the authentic Italian roots this place dises out everyday from the Panzo to the ZA to the steak or the classic meatball sandwich this place will feed you like you were supposed to be fed. To prove it I proved my GF wrong & for the guys any win is a win. We went about 3 weeks ago picked up 3 Panzo's & 3 sauce. On the way back to her place she's on repeat " He wont eat the whole thing" "he wont eat it with the sauce" about 1h 20m later. (WALMART BREAK @ DUFFERIN MALL) I warm them up sit the Panzo & sauce in front of him & asked the question " do you like it" I got the & 2 means he's all in. Roughly 15 minutes later plate is clean. Just remember to bring CASH.

For too many decades Bitondo's has been around, feeding the public masses and European cultures with their tasty pizzas, panzerottos, fresh sandwiches and ice cold drinks. Regardless of ordering their party size pepperoni and cheese pizza, or their fully-loaded pizza, you will never go wrong with any of their hand made pizzas, prepared right before your eyes with skill and pride by their experienced staff.

I have been buying pizza and sandwiches from Bitondo for 30 years. It's been over 10 years since my last visit. Both the pizza and steak sandwiches were awful. The steak was so tough as to be inedible. The prices remain very good. But I won't return.

Sometimes less is more - no fancy toppings or wood burning ovens just good fresh slices and fantastic panzerotti. Not much has changed here since 1967.the most modern update may be the sit down Ms. Pac-Man:)

Haven't been here in a few years. Love the panzerotti been getting them for about 26 years overall. I love how it all looks the same even the pacman machine is still there AND it works!

Absolutely a fantastic pizzeria! A simple and traditional family owned business.
You select your pizza flavour and can add more toppings to it. You gotta wait up to 30min to have it cooked but it's worth it - I especially liked the cheese and the homemade taste of it (1000% better than the pizza chains around the city).
I strongly recommend a portion of Olives to enjoy while waiting, super yummy!
The sizes are great - a small one can feed 2 people.
The prices are also good - CASH ONLY (they have an ATM at the local).
The ambience is nostalgic and the service was fantastic!

Pizza crust 100 semolina. Sauce made from tomato pulp imported from Italy. Mozzarella 28% milk fat so it taste like real cheese because it is real cheese

I've tried many places but none come close to Bitondos Panzerotti's. If I know I'll be staying I call ahead and order my fav, green olives, anchovies, onions and double cheese.so good that I order 2.

There's a reason it's been around as long as it has. Cheese panzos ready and waiting. Great pies. Nothing fancy but great quality and that's why the locals keep coming back.

So glad I found this place, old school type joint with cheesy pizzas and reasonable price in little Italy. Maybe the most old school type pizza joint in Toronto. Since I was born, Bitondos has been a family tradition. We would constantly get pizza and were never disappointed. Lovely staff that make you feel like you're in nona's house, and fun games like pac-man for the kids. 5/5 would recommend.

I remembered it as a kid, perfect veal sandwich and the panzerotti’s are out of this world! I will be back sooner but the classic tiles and orange chairs are the same. Still got to play the table top Ms pac man again too. Service was nice and place was clean. Food was amazing, the prices are great too 1 slice (like 2 slices in one) a panzerotti, 1 veal sandwich, 1 pop, 1 water, small olives $23!

Hard core. Old school. No frills. Great pizza slice but get it re-heated for that Nonno touch. Only Oakwood Pizzeria and Pizza Gigi rival this place for authentic vintage decor and spartan aesthetic. Is it 2019 or 1979?

I really want to give it a better review because I used to come here a lot when I was younger. It was one of those spots you hit up before going out or after the night is done. Maybe because I was usually intoxicated I made myself believe they had good pizza. I recently moved back to Toronto after living in NYC and Europe and came across this place. I got a slice of pepperoni out of nostalgia and was hugely disappointed. Not enough sauce and poor quality cheese. Sometimes you just gotta be older and sober to know if it's good or not.: ' (

If you want a traditional old fashioned, New York slice of pepperoni pizza, this is definitely the place to go.

However, it seems like recently they made some changes to the ingredients they use, and it shows. The pizza doesn't taste as flavorful as it used to. Hopefully they fix this soon and go back to using their old ingredients.

What can I say about this place, greasy hole in the wall but the panzos are delicious, I would say best in the city.

You want authentic, old-school, hole-in-the-wall Italian? Look no further.
No one where else in this city have I had plate of rigatoni for under $6 - and a good one at that - all the while perched on a stool beside the coke cooler and with a view of the stairwell. I may or may not have witnessed what appeared to be a drug transaction between customers at some point, but if you keep an open mind, you might even say that it adds to the old-school grungy ambience. The sandwiches are good, though I asked for medium spicy and was supplied with a sandwich that was completely mild until the last two bites, which were spicy as hell. But what a refreshment from the $20/plate calculated-to-seem-more-dive "hole-in-the-wall" establishments over-saturating the city. Bitondo's is the real deal.

This is my go-to pizza place. A classic, true Italian slice with cheese and pepperoni. (That's the only option for a walk-in slice) Bitondo has been a staple in the Little Italy community for decades. The tabletop Ms Pacman machine is a nice touch. Of note: they are cash only.

Took a hike up here the morning after a night out to get a pepperoni slice. Was pretty good. Good ingredients

We came here on Friday and loved it. My friends had been before but it was my first time, will definitely be back. Great fuel for a night out!

I go here for their deep fried calzones and tomato dipping sauce. I literally could drink the sauce because of how savoury it is. Cheap and delicious!

If your ready for an amazing taste bud experience eat here and order there panzorottis. If I could rate this higher then a 5 I would.
