As usual, the Village was incredible. Friendly staff, wonderful attractions. Do miss the boutique on your way out. Thank you, Pioneer Village

Well-appointed open-air museum showing life in Upper Canada in the nineteenth century. The air is so fresh. The staff is really knowledgeable and passionate about the subject. Seeing the Village during the holiday season Festive Night, all lit up by candlelight really adds a different dimension to the whole experience.

Step back in time and immerse yourself in history. All the staff are so friendly and informative. Definitely worth it to try one of the guided tours. They last about 45 mins and are filled with great information

We visited this place on June 25. There is a parking lot. You have to take a parkingticket and pay at the counter.
There are 40 homes. In some, a member of staff will give you more information about the home and its residents.
We liked the explanations at the printing company, the school and the one in front of the photo shop where we had to guess which item the employee was holding.

A real step back in time, lovely buildings and the people are so informative. Great experience if you have never been!

Fun place to visit to see what it was like in the 1800s. Lots to explore and learn. As keeping per times and authenticity there is no AC so do not go on a day where it is extremely hot as you will definitely be very uncomfortable!

On November 11th 2017, our daughter and son in law had their wedding there. The staff were so helpful and friendly, various guests had food requests; ie: gluten allergies, vegetarian, lactose intolerant. Nothing was a problem including Scottish guests over indulging in whisky. Definitely a place for a Wedding!

We were at Black Creek Pioneer Village drive-thru Christmas lights display and it was amazing! It was a great way to get into the spirit through the pandemic. Hopefully it won’t be mandatory next Christmas, but I would definitely do this again given the option. A good way to stay warm, be festive & look at lights.

Good for walks, cycling.it is roughly 4 km long. Can start from parking lot at black creek trail. I go every day for my evening walks. Nice and calm. There are limited seating on the route.

I really loved visiting this place with the kids. The houses are well presented, staff are outgoing and engaging, animals are well cared for and varied, the toys and dollhouse are fascinating. There are picnic areas and washrooms are clean and well appointed. I recommend visiting this place. We usually go in summer but the fall & Christmas activities are on my wishlist.

Took the kids here (age 8 and 11). Both had an amazing time. I feel everyone should visit the pioneer village at once in their life.

Black Creek Pioneer Village is an amazing little place full of adventure around every turn. City employees in period-dress share insights into the original buildings and way of life a century ago in the Toronto area. Buy beer or bread made right on site. Folks do use the old church house for weddings. Fall days and certain weekends there are horse rides for $2/person with young children free. Pick up prints of old newspapers or maps at the printing press house. Visit small and big animals around the farms. Well worth a visit for 3 to 4 hours.

Fun for all ages. The Halfway House Restaurant has good food. Plus a historic brewery on site. We go every December to see Santa - this place never disappoints.

We attend Black Creek Pioneer Village each year with Grade 3 students for the Experience and Explore program. Our tour guides have always been excellent and engaging for students. They really enjoy seeing the buildings, the tools, and the farm animals. The program is well prepared with a short amount of time in the middle to allow students to eat their lunches before breaking out into hands-on pioneer activities. Ex) trying on pioneer clothing, spinning wool, playing pioneer games. Overall, I give Black Creek and their programs 5 stars. We will continue to return each year.

Great gateway place from the city's routine and diving a bit into historical buildings and beautiful park. Free entrance on Tuesdays after 2pm.

You will be amazed to see how Torontonians lived just over 150 years ago. It is incredible to see how electricity has dramatically changed our lives.

The Black Creek Pioneer Village is outstandingly preserved, carefully maintained, and beautifully developed into a tourist attraction.
There is a lot to see inside the old town and a bit too much to walk, if you are curious to know and learn everything about the time gone by.

There is a gift shop cum cafeteria in the entrance building if you want some refreshments before or after tour. In the busy season you can get snacks, drinks, and ice creams on your way served by mobile food trucks.

There are washrooms and water fountains on the lower level and some more washrooms - but no water fountains - in the village.

There is an animal farmyard to amuse your small kids.

The parking lot is immense. You do not have to worry for getting a spot to park your car. It is not free, though. You have to pay $12.

The admission fees is $15 for adults and $12 for people over 60.

This is a must see place for Torontonians as well as visitors.

Lot's of history and interesting artifacts. I love the fact that they dress in clothing from the era and you can watch them doing tasks such as spinning wool and using a loom. I was a bit disappointed at not being able to buy lunch as that area was closed.

Our family spent 4 hours in the Village and felt like walking back in 1800s to see Canadian lives at that time. It was truly a great way to learn histories. I also enjoyed the drama acting, and my wife and daughter loved to see some farm animals there, too.

This village was one of the best tradional sites which I've ever seen. If you want to know how canadians used to live in 300 years ago, go visit this village.

I went yesterday with my two daughters.
We are Korean. So it was interesting and fun. Specially, the girl who was wearing wool was impressed with kindness.

Great place to bring the kids. Most of the buildings have a show and tell that really gives you a few for the Victorian era.

Very much enjoyed my time here! This is a cool place to scope out on a lazy afternoon. Take your time! There’s lots to see and explore. The staff was friendly and if you follow the map you’ll see the whole place in 2 hours.

I never got to go on a field trip here, so today was my first visit.
It's now super easy to get to by TTC (only about a ten minute walk).
The buildings are beautiful, bit hot, but that's not unexpected. The staff are nice and knowledgeable.
There is a beer tasting in the basement of one of the buildings which was very neat.
I'm really interested in print making, weaving, sewing and all that kind of stuff so I found it fascinating.
Went with a few friends and had a picnic lunch, I wanted to sit on the grass but the guys didn't want to so took advantage of the proper seating they have.
Washrooms were super clean, there is a water fountain/water bottle filling station right by the washrooms which was also handy.
Also at the start there's an exhibit thing where you can pick a character and follow them around the place, my group dumbly each picked one which made it difficult since you go to different places in a different order based on characters.so maybe don't do that. Pick one and follow them around.

Nice place especially if the weather is nice. Unfortunately the horses are not out and we were looking forward to seeing them. I wish they had carriage rides through the village with a tour guide

A beautiful place where the time stopped a couple of centuries ago. Really nice preserved and great for the children to learn and play.

Went with a group of approximately 50. It was by far the best experience I have ever had at an escape room. I would highly recommend this escape room for groups of 5-7 as that's what we were split into. Discretion: there are jump scares, as well as hooded figures, which some may find frightening. Regardless, highly recommend and great fun!

They had a civil war reenactment going on so the kids had to solve the clues. Had a lot of fun, learned a lot.

Tried the beer tasting. Was definitely an interesting experience.

Overall a great experience.

We will be back for sure. We were also told that they do a Victorian era event in the winter. Looking forward to that!

My family and I love coming here. My daughter (2 yr old) can run around safely to her heart's content, pet the goats and gaze at the sheep. All the while, my husband and I get to enjoy the peacefulness of the grounds and the rich history of the architecture.
