Amazing treats and a great cup of coffee. It's all enhanced and brought together by the great staff and their ability to work around each other in an almost fluid series of motions. Keep up the good work. I'll stop in again soon.
A lovely place to go for a great cup of coffee or Tea and catch up. Wortley Village location has an outside seating area toward Craig st with bistro tables and picnic tables. Inside seats are ok.but difficult to sit on for long periods of time.
This is a gem in Old south London, nice decor loved the place on my first visit will be visiting again. The crossiant and cruffin were fresh and delicious
Amazing, spot to get freshly baked bakery with tea, latte, coffee. They even have masala tea, will definitely try next I go. It is a must visit place to have Morning brunch too, they have varieties of sandwiches and soup. Tried there cruffins and London fog, it was good. Will definitely visit this spot. The only issue the outline, which they don't have inside where u could eat and study for a while.
Ordered a hot chocolate, latte, and cruffin. Cruffin was delishious, NO crumbs left. Latte was very good. The hot chocolate left something to be desired. Overall atmosphere was very pleasant, surprised based on these other reviews that there was not a single fly in the entire establishment. My only quarrel was with the bathroom. It was clean and useable but the garbage was overflowing and needs to be taken out. Would most definitely return!
Excellent service. So many delicious things on the menu to choose from. The soup of the day was incredible. I highly recommend this place for a great coffee, a meal and dessert
Always a pleasant experience. Pastries are the best, good selection, fresh. Coffee could be better, lacks the flavor of some of the best. Still, a great place to visit if you’re in London.
I adore the espresso and baked goods here! I’ve been coming to the cafe for the past couple years and I’m never disappointed. I definitely recommend an iced americano and slice of their almost flourless chocolate cake.
I’m from out of town and I came to Black Walnut and got their pumpkin spice latte. It was good but after 3 sips I noticed there was something big and crunchy in my drink. I spit it out and it was a fly. I chewed a fly that was in my drink. I was very grossed out and disgusting and I was just down the street so I walked back and told them with the fly in hand and the manger (who made my drink) just started making me a new one. I understand that these things can happen but he didn’t seem apologetic or anything.he didn’t offer a refund, he just said “want a cookie for the inconvenience” in a short tone. I asked if it just flew in or if it was in the coffee maker (as I was worried for a new drink) and he said it’s never happened before this year so it just must have flew in, but again, in a short tone. Again I understand these things can happen but it would be nice if they were apologetic or kind about this.it seemed like I annoyed or bothered them.
High quality baked goods and drinks for a yummy breakfast in a nice cafe setting.
I've started spending more time working from Black Walnut because the quality of everything is top. I might be addicted to their old fashioned donut muffin and the chai latte. One thing I would change is having free WiFi, but it's not a deal breaker since I can just tether to my phone.
Great service, great coffee, great baking. As a newcomer to London, I'm very pleased to have so quickly found a café that I love. I've been go both locations here, and they are equally lovely.
Great coffee and yummy old school baked goods. Granny can hang up the apron and proudly claim she made everything they serve. Counter snd dine in service available. You gotta eat here.
They are always so friendly and make sure to acknowledge you as soon as you walk in the doors. I appreciate their kindness and execution of well crafted amazing drinks. Love this cute cafe and it's cozy vibe!
Fantastic experience, so hard to choose an entree, everything so fresh and delicious. My first of many trips to come. A real gem in the heart of Wortley Village.
