Great store and customer service. Bought 1 pair of shoes which fit small when I received and they were able to receive a return at no cost. Then I bought a pair of Nimbus 25 which are the best shoes I've had so far. Recommend.

I had a great shopping experience at Black Toe. I did my research first but the number of options in runners is overwhelming. Will knew exactly what I was looking for and gave me a few options and then helped me make my choice. No pressure just good advice and a friendly atmosphere.

Customer service was so helpful with the exchange of my shoes. Will definitely be coming back for future shoes and directing anyone who asks for recommendations here!

Will and Hannah assisted me (bathurst/king). But every time I come here no matter who is in I always get top service with great advice i can trust. Not just pushing what might be in stock or more expensive.

I had such a good experience at the Yonge location! I walked in and right away they were very friendly and they had great staff. They took my input on preferences, and also used technology to assess my stride and figure out what shoe would be best. They were very accommodating and I got a great pair of runners out of the experience. Out of all the running shops on Yonge street (which I tried out all on the same day), BlackToe was by far the best managed, friendliest, and the best choice.

Edit: I forgot to post my drafted review until BlackToe responded, but I wanted to say I've been coming here for years and they've always met all my running needs. Most recently Cheryl helped me out with trying a couple shoes, and I ended up with the Boston 12s. Very pleased with it!

I just got into Toronto from Whistler and was looking for some trail running shoes, naturally used Google and found Black Toe Running. I stopped by just to take a look at what they had.

Nice little shop, they have a wide selection of gear, similar products as you would find in BC. I spoke with a lovely employee by the name of Leah, she was very knowledgeable and was able to explain the benefits of each shoe to me. Although I didn't get a pair just yet, the experience was quite nice!

I’ve had such helpful experiences here from the staff. As a non racing runner, still learning about the types of shoes and benefits, the team takes time in finding products that work for individual needs. I look forward to weekends when I have time to shop and look around the store! The team is patient and seem genuinely interested in their customer. Glad it’s in the neighbourhood and I highly recommend!

The best running store in Ontario to get my gear from. I've purchased clothing, gels, accessories and multiple shoes! Doesn't matter what you need they have it and can help you make the best purchase for you.

Great store, I've bought 2 pairs of shoes there, the staff are always helpful and have a lot of knowledge about the products. Highly recommend them if you're not sure about which shoe to buy and need help. They also have a lot of nutrition there for races. It's definitely not just all shoes there, clothing and recovery also.

BlackToe is my go-to local running hub. Every time I go in (which is often!), I'm consistently greeted by friendly & super knowledgable team members. The amount of dedication shown to each customer, along with the fact that they are all experienced runners (not just salespeople), is what sets them apart from any other retailer. Mike spent over 30 minutes with me until I found the perfect shoe for my long runs and gave me a ton of great training tips & advice too. They have a great selection of gear, apparel & gels. I can't recommend BlackToe more highly if you're looking for running gear, support or guidance. Thank you team for all that you do!

I purchased a pair of shoes online and got same day local delivery. Shoes unfortunately weren’t the right fit so I brought them back expecting to just return them.

Instead the sales person was super helpful and knowledgeable about what I might need based on the activity I was doing.

Ended up trying on a few different pairs and landed on the perfect dog walking/day hiking shoe.

Super easy process, very knowledgeable and friendly staff who aren’t super pushy and know the right questions to ask. Great selection of shoes for all different activities and comfort preferences. I’ll definitely be back for another pair when my indoor trainers kick the bucket this winter.

My wife and I have been purchasing shoes from BlackToe Running online for a few years now. They have great products and super fast free delivery. We have never had an issue with the shoes shipped. We get regular emails on products and have received a few discount codes that have been very appreciated. They also take their work personally and they often write a message with the shoes they ship. Keep up the good work.

The BlackToe team is incredibly knowledgeable and they're there to help. The shoe selection is obviously smaller than big box stores, but that's because the selection is curated to suit specific needs. If you have any issues, describe it for them and they'll have a solution!

This review is sorely based on the customer service I received from John. I have been running outside, three times a week, for the past 8 years. I am serious about my running. And I know the importance of wearing the right shoes. John is a runner himself. He understands running and runners! And he is HONEST! I do not believe his main reason is making a sale, rather he is genuinely interested in helping a runner buy shoes that would help in having a safe and successful run. I have been to this store in the past and was not particularly happy with their customer service. Now I will return to the store when John is working because I trust and respect his opinion, and have confidence he will help me buy what would serve me as a runner. Thank you, John.

Sarah provided me with a free shoe consult over the phone. She was so knowledgeable and really took her time to complete a meticulous analysis! I will definitely be purchasing the ON Running Cloud X for my athletic needs. 5/5 would recommend!

The customer service at this store is excellent! I was well assisted by JP who brought the shoes on my list (yes, I did the research) to me promptly and did not rush me. This despite there being a 4 customer in the shop limit.

I would have given a five star rating but have held back until I do some more visits. And there will be more visits!

If you are looking to buy running shoes from a shop that places more emphasis on the customer experience than on the sale, then you should give Black Toe Running a try. I did and love the shoes I bought.

I was out shopping for additional running shoes on 8th August 2021 and went to BlackToe Running without any clear make or model in mind. I was hoping to perform a gait analysis and thereafter make selections. Although the analysis was not performed using the typical equipment, the sales rep (unfortunately don't remember his name) made a visual review of my gait and thereafter made recommendations. He was just exceptional and extremely knowledgeable with the best options for different types of running and I was sure I could trust his judgement as he sounded really genuine to help satisfy my need than make a sale. I went in with intent buy 2/3 pairs of running shoes but ended up buying 6 with some other items. Must mention the store looks small on first impression but proved to have a massive inventory in storage with lots of options.

I am writing this review about 4 weeks after trying out all the shoes (between 50 - 200km runs on each) and being fully satisfied with all the purchases he recommended. I have in fact gotten 1 more pair each of 2 of the shoes he recommended. I am absolutely satisfied with the shoes I bought here following the advisory I got from him, would absolutely visit again and recommend the store especially when undecided on what to buy and in need of honest guide.

I have ordered online a few times from BlackToe Running as they have a great selection of running gear and accessories. I've ordered new shoes, energy gels and a running hat. Every order is completed quickly, is always accurate, and delivered within a couple of days. I love this store!

I went to Blacktoe because I was new to running and had no idea what I wanted or needed. Staff was super helpful and very accessible to a new runner. I went back for a new pair of shoes and had the same experience. Lots of other nice gear there too.

I haven't been to your stores, but this is my 3rd time shopping on line - actually my first order I did over the phone and the young man who served me did my order up - this was something that they don't usually do but he made an exception for me that day - we spoke for several minutes discussing Maurten products and came up with a plan that worked for me.
My experience was a 10+.

Every time I walk into Black Toe it feels like walking into Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. The service and staff are exceptional, and the high quality run-specific products keep me coming back for more. I've had great recommendations, from gait analysis, to shoes, to gear, to sunglasses. I always suggest Black Toe to my out of town running friends. It is truly the best running shop in the 6ix!
