Fahd is an amazing design consultant. Last summer was the first time I ordered custom-made blinds after realizing that I'd actually like my large windows to be covered sometimes. Because I've never bought blinds before, I was worried when I first entered the BTG store. However, Fahd walked me through the entire process of how to measure my windows, what details to look out for in the surrounding walls, how to choose the best blinds for my windows given their location and function, and advice on how to safely transport them home. The last point was one that i didn't even think to consider, so I was really grateful when he mentioned it. Overall, amazing customer service here thanks to Fahd.

Ended up paying $2000 more than originally quoted due to supply chain issues causing fabric changes. Its been 8 months and still we are back and forth. Quality is poor- seams don't line up and some are longer than others. "Room darkening" blind for large bedroom is barely light filtering- rending the bedroom pretty much useless for sleeping (and very hot)! Charged us another $430 for a roller shade for behind that shade as a resolution, and then when it arrived, it didnt fit.store is taking no action to rectify. Avoid at all costs

I had a great experience with Blinds to Go. We had a new build and they were very patient in having to measure several times due to the builder saying property was complete when it was not ready to measure. Vienna in Kitchener store was most helpful. Installer Matt was fantastic, did a a great job. I absolutely love my power blinds, they are sleek and love they can be controlled remotely. This is the second house I have used Blinds to Go for window coverings and have had a very good experience both times.

I was so excited to order my blinds. Made arrangements for an installer to come measure the windows. I was very clear that it’s a new house and I don’t live there yet so I have to book time with my realtor to allow us inside to take measurements. I was reassured it was absolutely no problem. I called the weekend before to make sure we are good to go. My realtor drove 80km to meet me at a specific time (5pm). The guy never showed up. Apparently working past 4pm is not something he was willing to do. I was so disappointed. Hope they have the decency to refund me.

I bought my window coverings in July. The shutters look great but I was sent the wrong framing! So I had to wait 3 more months then they came to install them and guess what right wrong framing. So once again I have to wait for new ones come in. Lets hope third time is a charm.

From beginning to end, my husband and I had a very pleasant experience at Blinds To Go. The customer service was excellent, from our initial visit through to receiving our order. The gentleman that assisted us choose our selection was extremely pleasant, helpful, knew the inventory well and was very efficient all round. Our blinds came in precisely when they said they would too. My husband did the installation; It was fast and easy and our light filtering fabric roller shades are great quality for the price. We will definitely use Blinds To Go again.

Re Kitchener Sportsworld dr location. We needed new parts for our blinds that were in our home when we moved in. We had no idea there was a lifetime warranty. The salesperson spent a lot of time looking for the original invoice from the previous owners, so there was no charge to us. We dropped 3 blinds off on a Monday for shipment to Montreal for repair. We were pleasantly surprised when they were ready for pickup 5 days later. Excellent service!

This entire process has been a cluster****. From my (very substantial) order not going through for 10 days for some unknown technical reason, to having to wait a long time for the shutters to be built (although that wait is pandemic caused), to having to wait an additional 2 weeks because 1 thing didn't get shipped, to their not putting my patio door blinds on the truck so they don't get installed, to being told the missing blinds will take ANOTHER 2 weeks to get installed (despite the installer assuring me it can be done if BTG was willing to pay for it), to the installer NOT SHOWING UP ON THE GREATLY DELAYED DATE! In fact, I just found out that the date I was told the install of the blinds was happening, was never actually booked! One example of bumbling incompetence after another, without a hint of regret or even acknowledgement that they've screwed up. And then, the tone-deaf audacity to ask me to fill out a customer satisfaction survey is a shriveled, ill-placed cherry atop one wholly unsatisfactory **** sandwich masquerading as a sundae. I have never paid so much for such shoddy, fumbling, unaware, unapologetic treatment before, and that is not an exaggeration. I gave 1 star, as the shutters that did get installed (that weren't damaged and need replaced, to be fair that's the overwhelming majority) are lovely and exactly as expected. Full marks to the installer, Tim, for efficient and expert work.

We installed blinds in our house so a very large order. It took 3 times to get the correct size of the blind in our ensuite and a 2nd trip as a rod for the dining room was too long and they also had the wrong size trim in one of our 3 Kitchen windows but got the other identical window size correct? The front living room blind never worked right and was installed incorrectly and took months to fix. It took months to get them and the install. I believe it took 4 months to actually complete the job. Now I am thinking maybe we should have shopped around as the price was high and we have never received any compensation for the inconvenience. When I complained they said they would see if they could compensate us for the huge inconvenience but they have never followed up. They got you because you have to pay full price up front to order and then no getting your money back. We would have felt a bit better if we could have held back a portion of our payment until the job was done. I would rate this company average.

I would definitely recommend ordering drapes from here. When I started to search at the big box competitors, I was unimpressed with the quality and variety of choice, in fabric and size options. Blinds to go, however impressed me to start, with the generously sized samples they sent. There were plenty of fabric options. They came quickly and were great for holding up to compare. Ordering was simple. The product is well made and the custom lengths let you get a drape that fits your room properly. Also the hardware really impressed as it was also solid and well made. I'm glad I thought to look here!

Worst blinds I have ever purchased. They are top down bottom up. When first installed they were on a 45 degree angle at top and bottom. Took them back for repair. They are still uneven and have to be constantly adjusted to try to get the even at top and bottom. The strings that the blinds move up and down on are visibly loose. Sometimes the top does not meet the valance. I will never purchase any type of blind from here again.

Everyone I have dealt with, from designers to installers, have been very pleasant. Unfortunately that's where the good times end. To start, I paid Blinds To Go to measure and install our blinds. I'm thankful I did that, because it means they are solely to blame for the following issues.

1. Many of our Soft lift cordless blinds were defective, either not extending to cover the window or did not retract properly

2. Two of the blinds, including a large motorized one, had the bottom piece of the blind bent on the left side so it would make contact while there was a gap around the rest of the blind. It was the first thing you would see when you walked in, and gave it a broken look. They tried to blame the window itself, which is square. Regardless, if you measure the blinds yourself they ask for 3 vertical measurement and 3 horizonal measurements, if they are custom made to the window then they should be made to those specifications.

3. A few of the black-out blinds were not flat resulting in a wavy look when the blinds were open. My guess is there was more blackout fabric than blind fabric, so it bunches up.

4. Every soft lift blind except for one in our upstairs had unacceptable gaps on both sides of the valance. I was told they would be 1/16th of an inch, they were 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch. Doesn't sound like much, but look around at the valances at everyone else's homes. There is no gap, much less a cumulative 1/2 to 3/4 inch. It looks unfinished. The motorized blinds on the main floor have no gap at all, so I know the measurements from the Blinds to Go employee are not to blame.

5. You can check the order status of your blinds, and there was one in particular that we were waiting on until we could get them installed. After all that waiting the blind arrived damaged and had to be returned to the factory. We will be waiting 1-2 more weeks. To give some perspective we ordered them on May 28th and they weren't installed until July 16th. It will be over 2 months before we get all of our blinds, longer because we had to send many more back.

6. The worst part is that we ordered cotton white blinds because they matched the trim colour. We wanted something that would look nice, not stand out, and match whatever design choices we make in the future. The valances however appear beige on the motorized blinds. Whatever backing they use on the valance makes the white fabric colour look beige. When I spoke to the design consultant they said it's the colour I ordered, I DID NOT order beige. I'm hoping this gets resolved because I just took a valance from a window on a different floor, which is the exact same type of mechanism/colour, and compared it to the beige one. It is white, with a totally different material on the back. I guess it was made on a different day, but it looks much better than all the other ones.

To their credit, blinds to go has taken all the poorly made blinds back and said they will fix them. They have pushed back on the colour not being correct on the valances, but did make a note of it. So we will see where that goes. I will update this review accordingly.

I would honestly prefer to return everything at this point, horrible experience for over $6000. There is no return policy listed on their website so I don't know what my options are. Order number 881186

When I placed my order for 2 - Cascade Elegance CL - Icicle shades I was told delivery in approximately 3 weeks. Very surprised when they arrived for pick up within 5 days. I ordered this blind in the past for a bathroom window and they are a few years old, no problems at all.

Not overly impressed. I ended up with someone else’s blind in my order. The ordering process was simple enough, service was great but now there doesn’t seem to be urgency in getting this error fixed. “Send is an email and we’ll get it sorted”……. We will see the outcome but it is a fairly large inconvenience considering I live out of town.

Ordering window coverings during a pandemic lockdown for a home that you haven’t moved into yet presents a number of challenges but the service I received from the team at Blinds to Go was remarkable. From working with Vienna the in house decorator to Mike who handled the measurements and install was a seamless process. They were able to accommodate appointments based around our schedule and tight timelines. The final result is better then I could have imagined. I strongly recommend the Blinds to Go team if you’re looking for new window coverings for your home.

I ordered 4 shades for the living room. When I came by to pick them up at the Kitchener site, I only received 2 boxes. I was told that there would be 2 shades in each box. I went home and found that there were only 2 shades altogether.

I had to drive back the next day and had to re-order the 2 shades. I was told that it would be a couple days for the shades to come. It's been a week and I still don't have my shades.

Although the shades I do have are great quality, the customer service was just horrendous.

Unfortunately, my experience rates low. There was missing parts, three unnecessary trips to the store to fix the factory mistakes, some cheap components, and two sets of instructions that did not match the brackets I was sent.

1. Wrong size valence cover delivered. Had to return in person to the store, and then go back in person to pick up (they wouldn't just send me the correct one that I ordered)
2. Missing parts. Had to drive into the store a separate time to get them. (white caps for the metal tabs at the end of the blind roll). Here's the real frustrating part - these pieces were not even present in either of the installation instructions, so I couldn't even know that they were missing.
3. The mounting brackets I was provided are not pictured in either of the two different instruction manuals provided. I had to contact the store again to figure out why I couldn't see the valence cover clips.
4. The mounting brackets I was provided do not clip the valence cover for my inside mounts. I don't think they were meant for inside mounts. I can clip one end only, so had to buy double sided tape to get the valence cover to lay flat.
5. The screws stripped quickly (I had to fix my installation as I tried to figure out how they matched the instructions provided). I had to replace several screws with my own higher quality screws.
6. Blind fell off of roll and factory glue did not hold up to gravity. Due to my missing part, the blind totally and quickly unravelled. I left it there, unravelled and blocking the window for the night, but gravity pulled the glued blind off the roll sometime overnight.
7. One plastic nub at the very bottom of the blind (that goes into hooks to hold the blind down when unrolled) was cracked off in the bracket the first time my wife brought up the blind. I suspect my brackets were not designed for this.
8. Several emails and now a text message that keep asking me to review is annoying.

Some positives. The staff was always nice. I appreciated their design advice. The blinds look nice, the material is fine.

Terrible service. Got blinds repaired. They called to have me pick them up. Currently waiting for 20 minutes plus for service for blinds I have already paid for. This is ridiculous. I’ve already asked the sales associate twice as there are 5 other people with me waiting and her answer is someone will be with you. They would rather make a sale then help their customers.

My latest experience at Blinds to Go was a repair. I am very pleased with the outcome. I brought in a pleated shade purchased almost 6 years ago for repair. It took almost 2 weeks to get it back on my window — a long time when the service promise is a few days. But that was because the staff at the Kitchener showroom sent it back to the factory twice. They tested it when it returned and twice were not happy with it. I would have preferred a phone call to inform me of the delay rather than having to check in. But I am still giving them five stars because I am so impressed with the care they undertook on my behalf.

I can't believe they Warranty the blinds for life! These are 14 year old blinds and the springs were never right from the beginning. But, they fixed them, no fuss and gave me extra installation pieces.

Had a great experience! Ordered 12 roller blinds for my home with install. Delays with the product due to COVID as expected. Ordering was super easy, they came in and measured which was great!
