I ordered custom blinds for my apartment last July. The first set were all the wrong sizes - way too short - but one was too big and was jammed into my wall which caused damage. It took until November to get the new ones ordered and re-installed. By that time, I was so fed up with the back and forth that I was just thankful that I had blinds.

The company gave me a small discount for the trouble.

But now that the sunrise is earlier and the sunsets later, I see that one blind in my bedroom is letting a lot of light into the room. Upon closer inspection, it seems to be 1/2 inch too short.

I have written the company once again but so far, no response.

UPDATED: The company responded to my inquiry after a couple of days. They offered to change the order and make it right.
Based on my interaction with the customer service rep, I have changed my original star rating.

I believe these reviews help companies see the need for improvements and the good ones, make those improvements. Thank you Blinds to Go.

I bought blinds from there along with install.
Several issues:
- Provided quote is manually entered all over again when ordering and comes up with different price. Make sure you review again.
- Install quote was increased after the visit by tech for measure at home. No certainty on what you'll end up paying especially for install.
- Window fit for blind was poor anyway with spaces all around even when professionally installed by them. You've paid already upfront so can't complain.

Generally got what I came for but quality of verticals not great as they tend to fail at pivot point and fall to ground over time. Most of sales folks were easy to work with the exceptionof Priyan. While he seems knowledgeable woth product and process his personal skills needs work. He wants to do things and sees things his way instead of what the customer asks. He also has a temper.when he lost it he shouted at me that I had stepped over an imaginary line separating sales from customer. He also went on in an angry tone to telll me all the things he did for me that I did not know about. I was not impressed. I was happy to leave and end that experience.

I found going to Blinds To Go was very easy to pick the colour and the style of blinds that I wanted. The sales people were very respectable and understanding and helpful. The installer who installed my power blinds was very professional, and very helpful to explain how to use the remote.

Not impressed with the attitude of sales staff (or may be the style of operation of this particular business location). Answers given to common questions were reflecting " I don't care for customers enquiring with no surity of business" attitude. I would definitely not recommend this location to anybody.

Extremely poor customer service. Placed an order on June 4,2022 and still waiting to get it done. Every time the technician comes in either wrong size of blinds/wand/ vallence. They promised to complete the work in 2 weeks. Tried calling store/ emailed no response. Avoid this store. M frustrated.

We went in tonight after a poor experience at the Burlington location and Lucy was the best! She welcomed us right away and was super helpful. We have a tricky situation since we are replacing the blinds for our boat and she offered multiple solutions for us. Even if the ones we selected don’t work, we will definitely be finding an alternative through her and this location. What a great experience and employee! Thank you Lucy.

The sale they announced now, is a fake. It's dishonest advertising. The price is doubled compare to my last order. They calculate their so-called "promotion" based on the price that they previously increased two times. What a shame.

Absolutely fantastic service and product. I ordered my blinds on a Saturday just before they closed, and to my surprise they were ready for pick up on Monday morning, less than two days later. I recommend 100%. And the blinds are very high quality.

Would not recommend them installing your blinds.

The sales was fine but the installation was a mess, The installation guy installed two of the three blinds the third one somehow was broken and had to be replaced, it took over a week to have him come back but the mess he left from the first install was pretty sad, there was dust everywhere left from the drilling in the ceiling was all over the window ledge and floors, straps from the boxes were left on the floor, anchor plugs that he dropped left on the floor, the little screw for the remote to keep the lithium battery from falling out he didn’t bother to put back, there is a warning came with the remote to keep the screw secured so that children wouldn’t swallow the battery and that it could be fatal. Then the second time to install third blind he was supposed to be here between 9am and 1pm never showed up no calls, nothing. We called the store and they can’t find him. He calls at 5pm and ask if we want to install on the next day! He installed the last blind that evening. I will never order from this company if this is what their installers are like. We called the store about the screw for the remote and they said they would send one, that call was in December 2021 and never heard back from them since.

Blinds are fabulous.in store sales staff fabulous.instalation another story.the person installing I'm sure is over worked with to many jobs, they are contracted outside of blinds to go.never come during the 5 hour you are given.screws and pieces left on the floor.and no communication on a estimated time of arrival

First of all a third of order was wrong then had to wait 6 weeks for rest of order then next date another 2 blinds were again wrong
Now waiting again for completion.
Disappointed to say the least.

Amazing, HONOURED free repair warranty! I’ve been a satisfied customer for over 20 years. I would have rated them 5/5 but had to wait 30 minutes last time to be served, so that was a bit much. Maybe they were short-staffed that day.

Regretfully, we have had a very poor experience with this particular location. We expressly requested blinds that can be raised easily to allow the maximum amount of natural light into the rooms. We also engaged their installer to ensure all measurements were correctly obtained. While the blinds were completed and delivered on time, their quality and performance has left a lot to be desired. They are heavy and very difficult to raise and after inquiring into this, we were advised that we should never have bought them in the first place, although we did so on the advice and guidance of the representative at Blinds to Go. Over the last few months, they have deteriorated further and our attempts to work out a solution with Blinds to Go have gone nowhere. Someone called the house and asked us to call him back without leaving his name or number. This has been a disappointing experience after spending some $900 on blinds.

It was an extremely delightful experience dealing with Kosala who was very patient and knowledgeable and he invested a lot of time showing me different options. He even went as far as to take a sample of the blind that I eventually chose, to the front of the store that I could see the difference with the light through the clear glass window filtering through the fabric!

The installers were also a pleasure to deal with and kept me abreast of unexpected delays in arrival time!

My experience at this store has been mixed! I placed an order for 4 Blinds back in May 2021. The order was ready end of June and when the installer came to install the blinds, 2 of the 4 were damaged and had to be returned to be remade! Once the new blinds were made, the installer, Adrian, came by to install and 1 of the 2 remade blinds was damaged and had to be taken back to be remade, again! I received a call from the Designer and Sales Rep, who took my order back in May, Niketa Patel apologizing and feeling so bad! She made sure that each time Blinds To Go made a mistake the blinds were made quickly and ready to install! She called me to keep me updated and has been their like a true customer care person! If it was not for Niketa, I would have nothing but a bad feeling about BTG! But instead, Niketa stood up for her company and made sure that I, the customer was taken care of and satisfied! Thank you Niketa Patel!

Great experience. The sales person was very patience showed us all the possible options with the best discounts. The blinds quality are so good. Definitely recommend the place if you are planning to upgrade your blinds. We even used the option for measure done and in-house installation and its so convenient.

Amazing service overall!
Both pre and post sale.

Especially the store manager, Cassandra, who took the time to walk through every aspect of the purchase, presenting all the options that satisfied our needs and budget, including second checking the measurements and details to make sure we got everything right.

Delivery timing was very good considering all the logistics issues relating to covid.

Post sales service was amazing as Cassandra helped fix an issue I myself had created during the installation.

I highly recommend BTG to everyone.

Just got the $1200 blinds installed yesterday and they are a complete disappointment. It was full daylight in my bedroom at 5am this morning. They are supposed to be room darkening, but aren't even close. They only close about 60% and as a result allow light through. As you can see below not what I would expect from any kind of blinds and definitely not recommended.

The response from Blinds to Go was that we’re sorry but but these are meant to be Room Darkening not Blackout. They don’t come close to closing flush or even rate as room darkening. We recommend that you buy some blackout curtains to go over the top of them. We will be happy to help you choose some! Basically it’s not our problem but if you want to spend more money we can help with that. I do have one suggestion. DON’T use Blinds to Go.

Ordered a vertical blind for my patio door.the size was made wrong due to the errors of both me and the store staff.after talking to the store manager, I was given a free replacement! I also found they are pretty quick to finish the order.it took 2 days for my order.

Every time we’ve wanted new blinds for our home, we’ve come to Blinds To Go. The quality has been great, the prices have been reasonable and the service has been speedy. Products have a lifetime warranty, which adds reassurance. Blinds To Go has provided us with customer service that is more than satisfactory, so I highly recommend them!

I found the staff friendly but as for having the Blinds ready in time they fail. I asked several times is ordered on a Tuesday would they be ready by Saturday, (we actually ordered them on a Monday evening). On Friday we were told that there was a “Glitch”, whatever that means. I was desperate to have them because it was a new home and it was a guest bedroom and had company coming. On Saturday we received a call that they wouldn’t be ready till Monday. They didn’t arrive until Tuesday the following week. They gave us 10% off they said but I still have to check about that because I never saw a refund.

I had a bad experience with Blinds To Go, Dundas St.location in Mississauga. I ordered a complete set of wood blinds, and paid a deposit of 50%. At the time of ordering, I had paid for and scheduled a measurement of my windows for a specific date, between 9am and 10am.

The week before the scheduled measurement appointment, I had called the installer several times to confirm that he would indeed be coming that day, as I would have to take the morning off work. He did not respond to my messages. Finally, I called the store, and the design consultant assured me that he would be there on the specified day. I called the installer again, just to be sure, and finally I received a call from him assuring me he had the appointment scheduled and would be present at the scheduled time.

The morning of the appointment, he did not appear at the scheduled time. I called the store once the time window had elapsed, and they said the installer was at the store. He did not know about my appointment, and did not remember me. He said he would come out to see me immediately, and asked exactly where my address was.

While I initially agreed for him to come out at that time, after reflecting a bit, I realized that I no longer had any confidence in this installer or this store. If I were to continue with this process, what confidence did I have that he would keep an appointment to do the installation in the future? While I know that human error happens, making a scheduled appointment, confirming it on the phone, and then fulfilling it - surely that would be the least difficult task in the entire process?

I had already taken a morning off work to be stood up. I did not feel I should have to continue a process of constantly trying to follow-up with the store and the installer, being assured of something, yet not having any confidence that it would actually be fulfilled as promised. I went into the store and asked for a full refund. The woman did it without hesitation, but really didn't want to hear anything from me until I asked if I could explain why I was asking for a refund in the first place.

I went to Blinds to Go initially because they do a lot of advertising, and was a recognizable brand. However, after this experience, I'm doing some research into other options, and there is a lot of competition in this business. I would urge everyone to consider doing more research as well into blinds and installation services before making a decision.

Just had my blinds installed by Matthew and Joseph Salerno and they look amazing. Thanks to Joseph for the exact measurements and Matthew's install. Both are so very nice and were accommodating to my schedule.
I'm so glad that my original order couldn't be filled due to being out of stock because I ended up with new fabric for both my window and closest and the recommendation of another sales person who recommended to have one blind instead of 2 for the large closest which would have caused gaps and most likely an unhappy client.

I visited the Dundas East store and was served by Cassandra and Niketa. I was refitting my entire house and needed blinds of many different sizes and styles. Both women were extremely helpful, patient, and informative in their advice and recommendations. I had many ideas of what kinds of blinds I wanted and they assured me that my preferences were in fact possible. For example, I never even knew a cellular pleated blind even existed. I love it! They also recommended a father and son team, Mega City Interiors, to do the measuring and installation. This team of Joe and Matthew Salerno was so polite and professional. They had excellent communication and came when they said they would. They took down and installed fourteen blinds all within two and a half hours. I was extremely impressed with the service of Cassandra and Niketa at Blinds To Go and with Joe and Matthew Salerno of Mega City Interiors. Thank-you all very much.

Buying procedure is kind of slow but going through all details, which is actually great. But for the installation experience, it is not mature and ruins the store reputation. My installer said he got injured and can't go in the morning on our scheduled date, which is understandable and something will happen everyday to everyone. But it changes our whole moving plan and we are subjected some rescheduling cost as well. Binds to Go highly depends on third party installer and has no backup plan once the installer can't do the job, and our installation will be postponed to 3 weeks after. It is a really bad news for the new home mover because you can't live in a property without any blinds.

Does not answer phones. Lady I talked to after my 5th call on 3 different days on the phone was rude and condicending. Needs to be training on customer service. If your running a promotion you try and help the customer not piss them off be doing the 50% off on a blind the isn't even a foot when there is a full blind that the client is paying full price for. Tried contacting support and they can't help me because I purchased in store. Will never buy from them again not worth the hassle.

Staff was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. They provided helpful information and did not make me feel pressure. I ended up purchasing cellular and roller shades and they came in on time. I was disappointed and worried when I unpackaged my blinds and they were damaged, however, the manager immediately rectified the situation and I was very pleased with their customer service. Would go back and would recommend.
