I’ve been wanting to check out Blood Brothers Brewing for years. They always have interesting sour and funky beers.

Sad that they don’t offer flights (only 8oz or 12oz offerings). Beer cans are $3.95 to $6.95 price range, barrel aged bottles (500mL) are $14.00 to $16.00.

- Paradise Lost: guava ($5.25 8oz) - slightly creamy and faint tropical notes of guava.
- Paradise Lost: soursop & lychee ($5.25 8oz) - enjoyed this one more than the guava. Lychee note came through, more balanced.
- Okonomiyaki fries ($8.00) - fries were a nice snack. The togarashi added a slight kick.

Solid if you’re into the sour and funk.

I had blood Brothers at national on 17th in Calgary and it was the best experience I’ve ever had I wish they would bring a Blood brothers to Alberta God bless you thank you

Victim of its own success. New staff is rude, music is terrible and loud. Just another bro brewery now.
15 November 2022 19:52
Very eloquent atmosphere. The prices reflect that. Extremely refined brews. It is a must-go at least once! Grub is good too!
06 November 2022 2:15
The Worst Staff EVER! I wanna give ZERO.
A guy waiter was really rude. I've never met such a terrible staff.
Did he do bad attitude to me, because I am Asian? Never Come Again!

Absolutely love this beer! The Shumei is my favorite and recommend to anyone who loves a full flavored beer that tantalizes your taste buds to a next level.enjoy responsibly.

Really great brewery just outside of the Toronto city centre. The brewery is a unique location, with a really well-done interior and excellent atmosphere.

The selection of beer was nice, we had some flights to try different ones out. We didn’t get any food, but we saw our neighbours order food and it looked really great!

It’s one of those places that we loved discovering and having it to ourselves. Sadly for us the word is out and it’s very popular.

Fantastic beer.friendly people.food is available.great west end location.tons of great beers. Sours, barrel aged beers, IPA, double, triple, and even some deadly pilsners.great time.will go back

Service was just brutal last night. Server sits us and immediately lets us know know, “one bill, auto grat. ” Okay, fair enough. I was only dropping in to say hi for a birthday so mentioned I was going to go and order him a drink from the bar so I could pay for it. “Absolutely not. One bill, auto grat. ”

I can’t buy a drink? Okay, since we have to leave in a few minutes anyways, we’ll just sit at this empty table so we can get our own bill. “Absolutely not. One bill, auto grat. You can go down the street if you want just one drink. ”

I could go on and on, but the point remains the same. I will go down the street, and I most definitely won’t be coming back
13 September 2022 15:41
Fantastic brewery with super friendly staff and great tasting beer/drinks at super reasonable prices! The shumei (shoe-my? Shu-may?) Is the best ipa in the city!
10 September 2022 23:01
I casually walked by this place and decided to try it. They have small bites to go with your beer. They have a wide selection of beers and ciders, but I found the food to be their staple. Get the brisket!

Updated many months later: no Momofoku and a different menu. Get the devilled eggs.
05 September 2022 23:37
Great Brewery with unique delicious beers, friendly staff and now tasty food as well. There’s also a chance to see a train roll by on the level crossing right there.
30 August 2022 18:22
I went to grab a drink with a friend at this craft brewery. The selection is great. My favourites are in the sour section like the one pictured: a 12 oz Autopop Tahitian Treat.
I’m only not impressed by their service. When ordering, the server does not ask you which size you want and if you don’t say specifically then they automatically give you the larger size. Great for their bottom line but not for customer service. I’m a lightweight so I would’ve like to have been asked.
21 August 2022 11:24
Lovely patio and kickass beers, cannot complain. Definitely recommend paying them a visit and grabbing a seat on the patio. Pictured is their Transhuman IPA
04 July 2022 5:15
Superbe endroit et tres belle selection de bieres. Service de take out (de biere) est super efficace et la personne qui m'as servie était vraiment sympatique.
17 May 2022 18:44
Had Paradise Lost at BeerTown in Guelph. Immediately had to order online for myself. My new favourite! SO fantastic!
04 May 2022 14:12
Such a great brewery with fantastic beers on tap and the food here was surprisingly good. The fries are a must try as they added a bit of spice to it. The prices here are fairly reasonable for drinks. Overall, a fantastic experience and will surely be back.
18 April 2022 13:24
Great sour beers. Good vibe in the taproom. Cool merch. Tasty Buffalo cauliflower and fried deviled eggs.
14 April 2022 18:57
Yes, ok, delightful it was indeed. I sat down with my ride or die for some Buffalo cauliflower, om nom, nom, nom yummy fries, a couple mushrooms melty sandwiches, and tasty sours and seltzers and was not dissatisfied. This place slaps. Everything was straight to my face delicious. One note to the kitchen would be dial 50% off the butter on your melt I tasted too much of that of the cheesy mushy love. Anyways. Thanks fam, I'll be back.
18 March 2022 2:48
These guys brew incredible beers. My favourite are their stouts - UNDER A HOUSE IN NORTHERN ITALY is the best! I recently had a problem, and without getting into too many details, they really stood behind their product and supported me as a customer. I would recommend their beer to anyone, and the customer service is exceptional. The food is good at the pub as well!
31 January 2022 23:01
Life changing - or at least lockdown changing. Stumbled upon the Lychee + Mint Seltzer and I’m hooked! Went to pick up a pack - luckily they are open late. Found the staff charming and courteous too. Lovely!
06 December 2021 13:58
Hands down one of the best breweries in Toronto (if you like super flavourful punch-in-the-face heavy beers), I love the ambiance too.
Unfortunately the food was far less great than their beers despite of being Momofuku, and the only meat free option were the fries (the soup was made with chicken broth, the brussel sprouts with fish sauce)
04 December 2021 15:49
Beers are all good.
I love the stout and sour beers.
For food, we ordered fries and sausage. Sausage was ok but fries were better.
They menu changed after the covid (2021 - not sure what does “after-covid” means)
25 November 2021 3:43
Tasty and inventive beers, friendly servers, and a spacious outdoor patio. I highly recommend trying Autopop, a sour ale with concorde grape.
06 November 2021 10:41
Super solid brewery, however the only downside is you can tell they don’t want ppl here lol. Pickup your brews and leave and don’t get any service with attitude
28 October 2021 5:10
5 star beers for sure. Everything is on point, well balanced, but also creative. Not a fan of the service I had, bland, no personality, just beer to table. Not a service experience, but definitely a product experience.
30 August 2021 5:03
Blood Brothers is a Toronto staple. The beers are great, and they have a specialty in sours. Their seating leaves much to be desired, unfortunately. If you aren’t among the lucky to score a table indoors, you’re stuck seated around barrels on stiff, backless stools. Service the day we went was quite slow, but they were dealing with reopening so it was likely a post-pandemic thing.
08 August 2021 20:12
Great brewery - a lot of very tasteful and creative beers - from IPAs to Sour beer. They're also partnering with Momofuku for food - had a Bao that was delicious. Nice atmosphere in a quiet street, definitely worth to stop by if you're nearby.
21 July 2021 17:15
Amazing beers - experimental, and constantly rotating for new flavours and experiences.

Pairing with Momofuku is awesome! Had the cold spicy noodle (similar to 짜장면) and pairs super well with the beers
23 June 2021 17:24
This place is great. The young man working there was awesome. My business, and I will recomend to everyone I know. Only downside not enough light outside when walkung in from Dufferin. Light up the wall. Put your name on it.
09 June 2021 3:54
I don't come here often but i always look forward to trying a new sour when i do. Wasn't thrilled by the attitude in the bottle shop the last time i went but whatever, I'll still come back for a sour this summer
27 May 2021 23:18
My absolute favorite place for beer. I recommend this place if you enjoy flavorful, specially crafted beers. The best in Toronto
23 April 2021 19:03
Great brewery in the Wallace - Emerson neighborhood They have online ordering and door delivery available. Their sours and IPAs are amazing.
22 April 2021 3:55
I always enjoyed Blood Brothers beers, for sure one of the best in Toronto. However, the bottle shop staff is the downside of them. More than once I was received with totally unfriendly mood and even rude answers. Definitely only online shop from now on.
06 April 2021 21:21
Huge fan! I was skeptical on a couple of their offerings but they are masters of beer. Thanks for your ontario wide shipping! I'll be making another order very soon
01 April 2021 16:16
Blood Brothers is a fixture of the emerging Geary Avenue strip, a local microbrewery that even now still has its bottle shop open.
05 March 2021 17:32
What a funky spot! Right beside the tracks, nothing fancy. But their brews are always inspired. I loathe the start of winter but it’s always softened by the arrival of guilty remnant. Hope I can sip some sours here over the summer!
23 February 2021 20:32
Amazing selection, fantastic customer service. We don't live anywhere near Toronto so we order our beer online. The beer tasting parties were a great success thanks to Blood Brothers Brewing (before Covid of course) and when our son got married they went out of their way to make sure the beer and other refreshments would arrive in time. Can't say enough about how happy we are with Blood Brothers, recommend you give them a try
15 January 2021 12:25
Worth the commute to Geary. The best sours in the city. White lies for life. Love the chicken sandwich and menu additions too. Can't beat a patio like this one. Keep on doing the good work. My favourite brewery in Toronto.
25 April 2020 12:54
Great food, great beer. Unfortunately witnessed one of the bartenders exfoliating his hands in the glass polisher, then proceeded to clean glasses. Legit, can't make this up. Just something to consider!
20 April 2020 0:06
Love love love blood brothers beer so I was excited to visit the brewpub! Went with a group of 8 and the had a really bad service experience. The server was quite grumpy and didn’t even take everyone’s order but since it was a group of 8 there was an automatic tip applied which I was bummed about. The food was average and kind of overpriced and the seating is quite uncomfortable. Overall it was a nice spot and I’d for sure go back for a beer but probably not for food or with a large group again.
19 April 2020 11:27
11 April 2020 7:03
I unfortunately cannot speak to the quality of the beer as I was refused service twice - on the premise that you must have a table to get service, despite there being loads of people standing and drinking throughout the establishment (I was trying to order at the bar directly). While the beer might be fine (?) service is a zero out of 5.
04 April 2020 15:24
Proud supporter since 2017, I've been inviting and coming here with family, friends, colleagues for quite sometime.

They have 2 of my top 5 beers, as I do have a blog on top 100 beers I've tasted throughout my span reviewing beers. So that goes to show they definetely put their pride where it matters.

As of recently I had gone and realized that they have a food menu with appitziers, which has been a hit. I beleive Blood Brothers are now moving into a solid brunch menu from what I heard as well.

Top pick for brewiers, if you are visiting for a short period of time and are limited to choices.
29 February 2020 12:12
Wonderful space to have a laidback afternoon beverage in winter or summer. The beers here are memorable and unique. They always have new flavours and brews (especially AMAZING sours), and their tried-and-testeds are reliable gems. Love this place.
23 February 2020 7:03
1st time visit. Great service from Lauren! She was extremely nice, recommended many good beers and was super hospitable. Cool shirts as well. We bought a few! Will definitely return! Thanks Lauren and Blood Brothers!
21 February 2020 5:12
A bit of an odd space but the staff are welcoming and the beers are very unique. Varied styles going in all directions, some you’ve never seen before! Price can be steep, even in today’s craft beer market.
16 February 2020 14:23
Incredible! I haven’t been here since the renovations last year. There is triple the room for people to sit and the bar is three times the size. Staff were all great, particularly Alex. 21 beers on tap and not one complaint from the 15 people I went with. Chicken burger was amazing and great fries. This is now my favourite Toronto brewery!
08 February 2020 21:36
The beers are one of a kind. Similar to the Jelly King line at Bellwoods, their Paradise Lost series are quirky but worth a sample. Think passionfruit, dragonfruit + Carolina reaper that creeps up after the gulp.

They offer small pours, which are good for many that can be too sour and puckering for a full 12oz pour.
23 January 2020 23:11
Cool place! Would definitely come back if it was a little closer by. Will probably come back in the summer to check out the patio.
20 January 2020 11:33
Went to Blood Brothers and loved the atmosphere and the experience. It’s a super down to earth vibe with great beer. There’s a beer for everyone. Would recommend if you want a cool vibe with friends or your significant other.
14 January 2020 13:09
Love the creativity and flavour of their beers. There is something for everyone! They have great food and wonderful service. I am always happy to grab a beer on a Friday!
10 January 2020 20:45
The go to spot for West Toronto. Sick venue. Inner Eye is our go to beer. Up and coming area. Highly recommend!
29 November 2019 12:50
Almost inarguably one of the top breweries in Toronto.

Lots of variety in what they produce. These days they tend to have 10+ unique brews in their fridges at any given time. I usually enjoy whatever flavor of Paradise Lost they have out at that time, and they tend to have at least a couple of varieties of IPAs at any given time. They also are one of the few breweries around Toronto that produce Nitro beer.

Oh, remember to look above the fridges for their merch!

The place is also now much nicer than it was before they opened up the floor. Went from dark and somewhat depressing to open and interesting with a clear view of the brewing equipment. Though as a consequence it does mean that on some of the more 'steamy' brewing days it can become a tad, um, tropical in there.
20 November 2019 5:22
The place is very stylish and definitely has a hypster staff but mostly a wide selection of delicious beers especially the sours (with a honourable mention to the black hand stout). You can order pints or flights of three or four and you can even buy beers to being home. Nice!
19 November 2019 6:07
Really hip & trendy spot. The day I visited they had canning happening so it was a little chaotic in there, but didn't affect the service at all. I did a flight of 4, and enjoyed them all for different reasons. The Blood Light however was epic. Swag was on point, I might even head back for a Tee. Only comment is I'd love to see a portable patio heater outside for customers. The Friday I was there it was packed inside, but almost nice enough to sit outside with that little extra warmth. Can't wait to find product at my local LCBO.
13 November 2019 21:33
One of my fav breweries in TO! I love the stuff they release - very innovative and the bottle designs are super cool. Now that they serve food, they’re open later as well. I wish I lived closer so I can stop in more often!
22 October 2019 11:29
Blood Brothers is one of Toronto's premier craft beer brewers with a solid line-up consisting of mainly pale ales, sours, IPA's and sour IPA's. Sometimes they will even brew a stout or two.
