We came to this clinic to have a medical pill for abortion. We reached 15 minutes before our appoitment. We waited more than 3 hours just to get the prescription.

This is ridiculous. You people need to be fast and efficient. Why are you taking so long? Respect your patients time. You arent doing D&C

Please dont come to this Clinic. 0/10

I had an amazing experience at this clinic. The staff outside was courteous and the counsellor, nurses and the doctor inside were extremely kind. They made me very comfortable with their kind, uplifting and fun demeanor. This procedure is not fun and is especially mentally taxing but I have never experienced so much warmth at a sexual health clinic before and it made the whole process a lot more bearable. I have had this procedure done before but this doctor is incredibly skilled and it was mildly painful for me as opposed to what I've experienced at another clinic before. I highly recommend this clinic over other sexual health clinics. Really really kind women who are not judgmental and make you feel safe and Comfortable. Thankyou ladies!

These woman are angels, I was absolutely terrified and they comforted me the whole time and made me feel so safe. Thank you so much

The staff at the clinic were very compassionate and informative doing all they could to make the experience as best it could be. The doctor Introduced herself by her first name and made the experience comforting. The procedure was quick and manageable and the aftercare staff was attentive making sure all needs were met. I recommend this clinic.

Tried to book an appointment earlier this morning and honestly whoever works the phones just has a terrible attitude, told her my situation and she was just sounding judgemental and rushing the convo not giving the help I needed for the questions I had. I honestly just felt embarrassed for myself so I just hung up, I’ll be going elsewhere but was looking forward to going here as someone I know had a very very good experience here!

My time at the Bloor West Women's Clinic was fantastic! When I made the appointment, I was somewhat anxious, but the front desk helped me understand the process and spoke to me in my language, which made it much more comfortable. Additionally, the counsellor made sure I understood everything by asking the front desk staff to translate for me in my language, which was useful and stress-free. I appreciated that the doctor was kind and patient with me as I had questions about the process. They were extremely knowledgable, considerate, cordial, and helpful. I actually thought I was in a secure environment! I appreciate each and every one of you, you gorgeous women and my recovery is going extremely well.

Very welcoming staff and doctors. They explained every single step of procedures as they went. They informed me of what I would feel when and where and it really braced me for what was to come. They were friendly and funny and kept the atmosphere light. The lady in the recovery room was amazing and informative and all the staff actually seem to care about our wellbeing while there.

Receptionist is really rude. Cancelled my appointment and will be going elsewhere. Clients should be approached with kindness and respect not attitude and difficulty when trying to book. Very disappointing and uncomfortable. Planned Parenthood was very sincere compared to this place.

I would highly recommend this clinic for any person who has to use their services. They are efficient, caring, and thoughtful from start to finish

The counsellor, "D", was warm, friendly, and made me feel completely comfortable. She was able to answer all my questions and seemed to have my best interest in mind.
They provide and oversized, soft t-shirt instead of a sterile looking hospital gown and bag for whatever you need to carry around with you, including a blanket they provide to each person. The washroom and waiting area is comfortable yet private.

The nurse, "M", and doctor, Dr. V, were the absolute best. We had a great laugh and they felt like instant friends to me and that they truly care - I wish all health care experiences could be like this! Nothing felt weird or uncomfortable, even though you're at your most vulnerable. It was nice that you were in one room for both the ultrasound and the procedure, instead of being shuffled from room, to room, to room.

The recovery room is close to the procedure room. They move all of your things to your designated lounger and cookies and ginger ale are waiting for you. They are happy to provide your choice of pain meds and any top ups on snacks or beverages you may need. The nurse in the recovery room, "H", was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive.

I cannot sing my praises loud enough for the staff at this clinic - they are all absolute gems. They all seem to want to create a supportive and caring environment for anyone that passes through their doors.
I am truly grateful I live in a country that I can access this service (and covers it under government insurance (OHIP)!), but also that this is the standard of care, which is hard to find at most clinics.

I chose to do a surgical abortion at 5 weeks pregnant. I was really scared as I never had surgery before. I was able to book an appt for later in that week just so I can be at 5 weeks (min). My appt was for 1: 30 on Saturday and I arrived 30 min prior and filled out forms and was seen right away. After speaking to the nurses and the doctors here I felt so relieved. I was even offered anti anxiety medication and it helped me relax. After the counseling you’re put into a waiting room where you get to wear a comfy t shirt dress almost like a night gown. It made me feel way more calm than having to wear scrubs. You’re even offered a blanket while you wait. I didn’t find the wait too long, I was probably sitting for 30 or so minutes. They play comforting music too. The nurse brought me in and the doctor who performed my procedure were so lovely. It is a comfort to be in an all women environment where no one is judging you. They did an ultra sound quickly and I was sedated right after. My veins are quite hidden but the nurse was able to get it done in one stab. Just squeeze the ball tight and it’s over. Within seconds I was loopy and I was scared of being sedated but it wasn’t bad. I didn’t feel any pain and I didn’t even know it was happening until the doctor told me it was almost done. Everyone’s body will react differently and I do believe I am more sensitive to these things. I was so relieved to be done, and the surgery room is right outside the recovery room, so I only had to walk a few steps while being guided by a nurse. I had a little cramping (barely) but I was given a hot bottle and the pain went away immediately. Also the ginger ale and cookies helped. I did feel a lot of nausea so I sat there for a while. The nausea didn’t go away until I got home. I’d say about 2 hours but I was sleeping through it. After that I felt completely normal and the next great. I did bleed after the surgery but it lessened when I got home to nothing. It’s good to have liners and pads and advil just in case. I haven’t need to take any advil since though.
It was a great experience for considering how awful I felt before my appointment. The ladies were so kind and helpful and made you feel normal. I’m really thankful I chose this clinic.

I had a wonderful experience at the Bloor West Women’s Clinic! I was very nervous coming in, but the staff made me feel at ease right away. The procedure was very quick, a little uncomfortable but tolerable. I liked that they didn’t rush me out of the clinic during the recovery period and they catered to my needs with no hesitation. They were very knowledgeable, caring, friendly and supportive. I really felt like I was in a safe space! Thank you so much to every single one of you beautiful women!

Came here for a surgical procedure. Would recommend this place to anyone, staff is all so kind. The councillor lady was so kind and friendly and the procedure was done in just a few minutes. You get taken care of so well here & treated with snacks at the end. They do not rush you. Thank you to this place again for making my visit not so scary

This clinic has been a good experience for me and I’ve been here twice now. The first time was a great experience, I basically rang the bell at 10: 45 for my 11am appt, wait to be let in, filled out forms and sat there and waited to be called in (the wait was quite long 4-5hrs total), once called in you see a counsellor, you give urine, go into a little room with a change room change into your gown they give you and wait to be called into the procedure room by the nurse. I explained to the nurse at that time I had tough veins (for the IV sedation) but she got it on the first try and the doctor was great I hardly remember the procedure itself, the sedation is great and it was very fast. The second time I went in for a procedure, I took the 8: 30am appt and was the first to arrive for the day so there was hardly any waiting which was amazing. However, with that being said - I warned the nurse (another nurse from my first experience) that I had tough veins, she poked my arm once and didn’t get it and was going to call another nurse BUT she said she will try once more in my right hand and she poked and said she got it and once again the sedation was great, doctor was amazing hardly felt anything. A few hours after I left the clinic I noticed my hand was all green and bruised where the IV was inserted - and here we are 1.5 weeks later and it is still GREEN and very bruised and tender. It sucks because my right hand is my dominant hand and it constantly pains. I am very disappointed in the nurses negligent poke, whatever she did was not correct clearly. Anyway after the procedure you are taken right into a recovery room with comfy lounge chairs, given a hot water bag along with cookies and gingerale which was nice. All in all, don’t hesitate to come here but just be weary if you have tough veins because I am still in a lot of pain by whatever she did incorrectly to my hand however the actual procedure part by the doctor was flawless both times.

Staff and doctors are so friendly and caring, the whole experience was comfortable. I don’t have enough room to type all the amazing things I could say about this place. It is very clean as well
11 March 2023 17:11
Ladies, this clinic should be your first choice. We had to have a d&c after our 3rd miscarriage. I don't think I could have found a more kind, compassionate, informative, and supportive group of women. From the counselors, to the nurses and Drs, my experience was not traumatic at all, and was actually relieving knowing myself and my deceased fetus were being treated with the up most respect and honor. I have nothing bad to say about this clinic. Thank You ladies for making such a heartbreaking situation so comfortable and easy.
18 February 2023 17:38
This is the 2nd experience at this clinic. The 1st time I went with my sister it was perfectly fine. However the 2nd time was the worst experience. That's why I gave 1 star. Her appointment was for 11: 45 she wasn't seen until nearly 3pm. Now when the gave her the medication there wad no effect. She was still in pain and discomfort. Dr Lupobivci was insanely rude, made my sister so uncomfortable and upset for the procedure. Then refused to complete it. I am so disappointed in her treatment. This was a sensitive situation. And should have been handled with care mentally and emotionally. The counselor came in and was very nice and calmly explained the situation. Whereas the doctor just said abruptly 'I'm not doing it then if you can't stop moving' the counselor explained the safety issue because for whatever reason the medication didn't have much of a effect to cause knubness. In any case this was a horrible experience! I'm so disappointed in this womens clinic.
16 February 2023 19:09
If you’re reading this, I’m so sorry you have to go through this pain, but Bloor west womens clinic is the place to be.

From start to finish the staff, councillor, doctor, and nurses were absolutely amazing.

I had to have a surgical abortion and my visit started with some paperwork then I got to meet the lovely councillor. Her words stuck with me, and made me feel better about myself and my decision. We discussed birth control options and I opted for the kyleena IUD! After a long and emotional chat she gave me my tote bag which had a comfy gown and was something I could put my clothes in and carry around the clinic with me.

Then I met Doctor Helen and she was so comforting and lovely. I got medication put in to loosen me up and had to wait in the comfy chairs for 30 mins before I could leave the clinic and do my own thing while the medication worked it’s magic.

After two hours I came back, got dressed in my gown again, and had the procedure done. Doctor Helen and the nurses made sure I was comfortable the entire time.

As for the procedure itself; every BODY is different. Personally this is my experience; the IV was hard to get in but I also have tough veins. While having the procedure done I didn’t feel a thing. The nurse said I talked about latte art (or maybe I dreamt it) and during all of that I also had my IUD put in! The stuff they give you makes you so relaxed but you will still be awake.

What I love about this clinic is they will discuss birth control options and if you want an IUD they will put it in after the procedure so there’s no pain! It’s also an extremely non judgemental safe space.

After the procedure the nurse carefully guided me to my comfy chair where cookies, ginger ale, and a hot water bottle awaited me. I then got to chill out while the drugs wore off a bit.

When I was ready to go home I got dressed, and the councillor gave me a big hug which I needed, and then off I went to go home, and watch some feel good movies.

Going through this sucks a lot. But the team at Bloor West Womens Clinic made me feel welcomed and safe from start to finish. Thank you to everyone who works here. You’re doing an amazing thing.

UPDATE DEC 27 2022 So I feel I need to change this review. I had to go back after I didn’t stop bleeding I figured something was not right. They didn’t get everything. My
Sister in law also had to go back twice and had issues with the iud placement. And sadly I am thankful we have this service in Canada but it’s like a fast food place in/out in/out one after another. I went here OCT 5th 2022 for the first time. I had only had one previous years before and I was put under. I had no idea what to really expect this time. The entire staff here though was amazing from checking in to the recovery room. I’m very thankful we do have places like this in Canada. I came very prepared after having one previous and two children already. I brought with a portable heat pad an always diaper (not for everyone) but for me it was. I did how ever forget non drowsy gravel. They do however have gravel to offer if needed but I refused. For personal choice as I had my boys to look after once home. So if your like me and take ginger gravel bring that with you as well. I have nothing bad to say about this clinic. In my opinion they were even better then the first I went to when younger.

My wife had a 12: 30 appointment didn’t get in until 3: 30-4pm. She couldn’t feed our 4 month old baby until we got home because they never informed us that she need to pump and dump before we could feed her so she didn’t eat for about 7 hrs. The nurse had the nerve to say sorry we were busy, then why book an appointment? Brutal brutal brutal
09 February 2023 9:34
I had a surgical abortion completed here recently and was absolutely terrified before the procedure. I cannot say thank you enough to this clinic for making such a positive experience out of the awful situation I found myself in. The entire process was flawless. I received counselling beforehand where I was offered oral sedative, was placed in a waiting room and then taken in for my procedure. The entire procedure was a maximum of 5-10 minutes, and I felt no pain during it. I remember very little due to the IV sedative that I was given. I received cookies and gingerale as soon as I entered the recovery room and was assisted by nurses with any questions or concerns I had. In total my appointment was 1.5 hours. If you are considering this as an option for yourself, I would highly recommend this clinic. I can safely say that I went into this so scared of the procedure, but left feeling nothing but relief and gratitude.
24 December 2022 3:17
This place is amazing. The wait is a little long but they do tell you that you can expect to be there for 2-3 hours. The nurses and doctor are very nice and educate you well about the procedure and reassure you that it’s very quick so there’s nothing to worry about. I felt very mild pain during the procedure thanks to the iv sedation and I even got an iud the same day! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
11 December 2022 17:40
Went here for my first surgical procedure, all the staff were incredible and treated me kindly, they made sure I was 90% sure about my choice and were non-judgmental about it. They provide drinks and snacks for after your done and give you additional pain medication if needed. I would definitely go here again.:)
04 November 2022 6:12
Retained products left, they left a freaking bone. Had to take meds 3 times before getting second dnc, they did not do ultrasound after cleaning! Pathetic work. During dnc the Lady with short hair just kept ultrasound device at one place and did not even check the screen just kept as a formality.
13 October 2022 5:42
The service in this clinic is spectacular. The staff is amazing. They are all friendly and professional. Highly recommended!
12 October 2022 12:18
No word can explain how caring and gentle the doctor, nurses and receptionists are. You will benefit from showing 20mins prior to your appointment time, to fill out all your paper work. The service was very fast and painless. After the procedure, they put you in a room where you can lay down and relax with cookies and ginger ale. I will recommend this place to anyone because of how gentle and caring they are.don't be afraid ladies, you're in good hands if you decide to choose their services. Thank you again to the doctor nurses, counselor and receptionists
11 October 2022 6:13
I was so nervous going in this morning. I already had one bad experience like 2 weeks ago with another clinic and I was so skeptical going in but the stuff was so nice and understanding. I give major props to the consultant she made me feel so calm I think we made each other's day today with the jokes, talking to her made me feel much better, this decision was extremely difficult to make and she understood that, ensured me that everything would be ok I wouldn't recommend going anywhere else the procedure went smoothly. Im so thankful the whole team did a great job.
07 December 2021 20:21
Absolutely horrible experience. They were extremely rough and I was in a lot of pain. One of the nurses got annoyed and her exact words were "It doesn't hurt that bad. Next time go somewhere else" WHILE I was on the operating table. It's been 2 years and I still cry about it. Disgusting behaviour.

PLEASE READ (this is not my real name btw)! I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience at the clinic give the circumstances (I came in for a surgical abortion at 5 weeks) - I have to say first that while everyone is entitled to their experience, almost ALL negative reviews I’ve seen typically revolve around things that were previously communicated to patients: time - you are told in advance and on the website that you can be there up to 3 hours (I was prepared, but only stayed 1 hour!) ; pain - everyone’s pain is different so you really shouldn’t rate 1 star because you felt pain during a medical procedure, you are told during the appointment and on the website that you are awake and everyone is different in their tolerances. To not wait as much I suggest booking a morning appointment - booked for 9: 45am and I was out by 11am.

The procedure itself was as expected. The IV sedation mostly acted to calm me down. I didn’t feel the local anesthetic needle at my cervix (I was most nervous of this! But it was fine). I felt very intense cramping but my procedure was over within a minute. If you have a tattoo or a body piercing you can do this no sweat!

I decided this clinic after calling around in a panic to other Toronto clinics and feeling like they were rushing women through and didn’t offer any text/email confirmation for the appointment which made me feel weird.

The staff here were so wonderful and caring during this difficult time. The receptionists were kindhearted, the councilor was calming and reassuring, the doctor and nurse were truly amazing and played some great tunes during my procedure! The recovery nurse made sure I had some drinks and a hot water bottle and let me stay until I felt well enough to go.

It’s a hard time but don’t let negative reviews scare you! Some are from patients going through a traumatic time (which is their right) and some are people trying to stop and scare you from making your decision. You can do this.

Waited 6 hours to have an abortion with no support in a hallway these ppl didn’t care about me at all

When I came on time for my appointment just to be told to come back the next day and waited 5 more hours when I came on time just to be rushed out because they were over crowded I was in so much pain this place is horrible!
15 September 2021 4:33
I highly recommend this place they have such amazing people. They will help you through out your procedure and make sure that you are feeling ok until the end I was nervous for my first time but the staff is always ready to help and comfort you.

I am so grateful for this clinic. I had a missed miscarriage at around 13 weeks, and it was a really really difficult thing to process. I was told I needed a D&C. I called Bloor West, and the receptionist was so helpful. They booked me in for their earliest available appointment, and reassured me that everything would be ok.

I was consumed with anxiety, and so nervous… but they reassured me that I’d be in good hands with the nurses and doctor there, and they were correct. When I went in for my appointment, it was a seamless process.

I first spoke to the counsellor, who was so comforting and empathetic. She explained that the procedure is really quick (5-10 mins), and told me that physical recovery does not take that long. The nurse and doctor were thorough at explaining the process, they were kind, and took the time to answer all my questions with patience. You feel some cramping during the procedure, but it is very tolerable (like bad cramps during a heavy period).

Dealing with a miscarriage, or having an abortion, is an extremely difficult situation, and can make a woman feel extremely vulnerable and scared. At Bloor West, they go above and beyond to make you feel comforted and supported. They genuinely help you get through this tough experience in the best way possible.

After my procedure, they provided me with a phone number and other information to follow up, and it made all the difference in making me feel confident that I am cared for. I have the highest respect for everyone working at this clinic, and I am so very grateful for everything they did for me. Thank you thank you.

I visited this clinic in December 2020, and today I feel like I am ready to talk about my experience. I was referred to this clinic by the hospital I was supposed to go to but they didn’t have an appointment for me until the following week. I was so scared to get the D&C procedure done, but I am so happy I went to this Clinic. Everyone here was so nice and comforting. I remember before going in I had to sit down with the Counsellor and she was great, she calmed me down as I was super nervous. The Doctor and the nurses were amazing. Made me feel very comfortable and the Nurse even held my hand during the procedure.
As soon as I was giving the IV it literally felt like 2 min had passed and I was done. So grateful for everyone in this office who made me feel so good and cared for on one of my worst days.
25 March 2021 21:35
Very professional and excellent service. I felt calm and well taken care of while I was there. Very clean environment and everyone is super nice and willing to help.
18 March 2021 6:03
This place is amazing. Appointments are basically available to you whenever you need and staff are very accommodating. The whole process is very comforting and everyone makes sure you aware that you are in a safe environment. The doctors are amazing and make you feel comfortable during your procedure. They will give you Advil, Tylenol, ginger ale and cookies after the procedure which made everything really smooth. Loved the service and the place.:)
17 March 2021 15:41
I was so nervous for this day but everyone in the clinic made me feel so safe and comfortable. Yes the wait times are long but during COVID they’re doing their best to accommodate everyone and still follow necessary guidelines. In terms of pain it was uncomfortable but that only lasted less than 5 mins. It’s hard to say about the pain because such a low tolerance but I’m happy i decided to come here the staff is the best!
07 March 2021 6:17
It couldn't have been easier. You go in, fill in some forms and then talk to a really nice lady who calms you down before the procedure. She can give you a medication to calm your anxiety if you need it. I chose to get an IUD put in so I had to go downstairs to the pharmacy to pick it up, it took 2 or 3 minutes. When I came back up I changed and gave a urine sample, then the nurse took me to the procedure room. They give you the IV sedation and the needle hurt way less than when you get blood drawn. The procedure itself is done so fast it's pretty crazy how fast it actually is. It was uncomfortable but not painful, kind of like those period cramps that are achey instead of stabbing pain. The doctor and nurses were really disarming and sweet.then you go lay down for a bit and eat cookies and drink ginger ale, another nurse takes your blood pressure and talks about what to expect after and then you go home. I was there for like an hour and a half. I already felt better right away. I was so depressed, anxious and scared going in I honestly thought I was going to throw up or faint, but they make the experience very calm. This is a good place to go.
04 March 2021 1:06
The staff at Bloor West Village Women’s Clinic was very professional, and very helpful. They ensured that clients were socially distance, and had multiple safety precautions in place to make sure everyone stays safe. The staff was very kind, and very thorough with their work. The clinic itself it clean as well.
You are presented your options, the options are explained. And the doctor helps you to make a good choice based on what you are looking for.
Definitely recommend this clinic to anyone who needs help, and I am definitely returning if I need anymore help.

Thanks guys!

This clinic is just wonderful. I know you must be very scary and anxious evening just reading this review now because stop pregnancy is not an easy thing, but read my review and I will give you confidence. The day is the most gloomy day of my life. I stepped into the clinic with the mood that I will be ready to change surgery to medical way or run away from the bed at any time. The consellor, who is an angel, saved me at the first stage. She listened to my story very patiently and expressed that they are here to help me out without looking me down. She asked me if I need an oral sedative to release my anxiety and I said yes please. After taking the pill for 15mins, I got changed and waited in the waiting room, I started to feel calm and comfortable. I asked the doctor if the IV med really worked she said don't worry it must work. So after 5 seconds taking the IV, I started to feel I'm almost sleep, I couldn't even hear the nurse and doctor's talking. I am very relaxed and didn't care about anything. The procedure went very smoothly with very light feeling of cramping. After about 2 mins it's done, I was sent to the recovery room. The lady gave me a Canada dry and a cookie. In the recovery room, I still feel very drowsy and can't read the after procedure instructions. Ladies, I know this choice is hard, but this place can really give a quick and good feeling relief. And if you believe you need extra meds to calm down, do tell them. They will give you an oral med before getting changed. It really helps.

Hello,
this is under a diff name but i just really want to share my experience with you all.i went for a procedure yesterday and everything was smooth the ladies at the front were very helpful and polite counselor was amazing she referred a iud based on what i told her i was afraid of. The nurses were alright. Truly i give my pain level here 10/10 i was even moaning in pain and they did not offer me high dosage it was clear something was hurting really bad but they just told me almost done what makes it worse is the drugs kicked in right away so i thought i was good but when they started talking to me the drugs wore off so fast.i even cried too my boyfriend how bad the pain was i couldnt even keep it inside everytime i think of it my whole body gets scared and closes up.but my first experience with them was great but this had to be worse than even giving birth. I have two kids all natural no meds.im a trooper for pain.but this experience very devastating to me.

My appt was at 10 I was told it’d be best to come half hour early.not sure why because I wasn’t even inside the door and out of the hallway till 1215 I then sat there till almost 1 my counselling appt took less then 10 mins which is weird because why has it been over 2 hours when it wasn’t even 10 mins. I then waited till almost 130 to have the actual procedure MAKE SURE YOU HAVE CHOSEN YOUR BC BEFORE LEAVING THE COUNSELLOR. I discussed my options with the counsellor I explained everything to her the doctor knew. She told me it shouldn’t be a concern to take birth control pills. And that they would send me home with a prescription. I was told to discuss an iud with the doctor that I expressed multiple times I wanted.as I’m discussing it I was told it’s to late as I didn’t sign a form I asked if I could do it now and was told I should just wait. They then sedated me I expressed again how I want the iud and was told now it’s illegal because I’m sedated and will 100% have to come back again waited 3 hours past my appt time once again even though I live 2 hours outta town. When leaving I asked for the prescription for the birth control pills. The doctor told me she’s refusing to send me hone with any contraception and as I’m explaining how long I’ve waited and how this isn’t ok I’m told “I’m under sedation and my recollection of events must not be right as she was in the room”. Idn what kinda sedative she thinks she’s giving but you don’t make up conversations during a CONCIOUS SEDATION.all in all probably the worst experience I’ve ever had. As I’m crying in pain I’m being aggressively told to slow my breathing while I can literally hear mocking scuffs coming from the other room. Maybe record all conversations so your not accused of being a liar.
21 January 2021 15:25
Had an amazing experience. I did the medical option (at home 2 pill process). Appointment was quick and most importantly I felt safe and well taken care of. They explain things so well and in detail. The ONLY thing that I didn’t like was the Counsellor in the beginning was too pushy about the surgery when I specifically asked to do the pill option. She also got my age wrong and proceeded to tell me I just “ look so young. ” Besides that, doctors and nurses were fantastic and would highly recommend.

Thank you so much.
01 January 2021 17:51
I’m writing this under a pseudonym for obvious reasons, but I had a pretty good experience here. I arrived early (which I recommend bc you have to fill paper work), and the receptionist was nice. I was brought in very quickly to the counsellor. She was very nice and had talked to me about birth control. We agreed on the IUD. The only weird thing was that if you want the IUD you have to go downstairs to the pharmacy to get it, and then walk back upstairs with it, and it comes in a large box. After that I was in the waiting room for not very long, and brought in to the procedure room. Everything was very fast an efficient. The nurse and Doctor were both very nice people, and the procedure was over with very fast. I’ve never had bad period cramps, and I rarely get them in general, so it was slight pain, but more like a dull pressure, but it was bearable. After that I was brought to the recovery room. They give you cookies and ginger ale, which I didn’t think I was going to want but I actually ended up finishing all of it. They will also give you Advil. The cramps after we’re around a 6/10. I was in the recovery room for maybe 30 mins, but that was bc I was waiting for my boyfriend to arrive. The nurse in the recovery room was very kind as well. When I was leaving I bought a hot water bottle from the pharmacy. My advice would be; 1) go to this clinic, 2) do some deep breathing to calm down, 3) and bring your own hot water bottle, or buy one downstairs (10$), 4) make an appointment for early morning and your wait probably for won’t be as long. My total time being there was 2 hours. It’s been a couple days since my appointment and I’m doing fine and feel so much better.

Writing this review under a pseudonym for privacy reasons but I really wanted to publicy say how amazing the staff, nurses and doctor are here. I went in for a surgical arbortion which I was able to book an appointment for the next day. They made a very scary and nerve-wracking experience as safe and comfortable as possible which I'm so grateful for. Would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone and thank you to everyone at the clinic!

I am writing this under a pseudonym for privacy but I wanted to say that I had a great experience at this clinic after miscarrying and needing a d&c. It was a sad and disappointing time for me and the clinic made everything seamless and comfortable. The staff are compassionate and make sure you are in the least pain possible. I didn't feel rushed to leave after the procedure and would recommend this place to anyone who is needing the service. After a couple of hours I felt 90% back to normal.

I went to this clinic. They are awesome. Yes there is a wait because of Covid, you may even have to wait in the hall for your appointment. And yes the receptionists don't talk alot. But I think that's due to the fact that they are busy.
The councillor was amazing. The doctor and nurses were great, very friendly. I went there for a misscarrige. They gave me Misoprostol to prepare for my procedure because I was over 14 weeks and they told me I could leave for a few hours and come back. That was nice of them.
When I went back I had an IV placed and went in to do the surgical procedure. I did not want any sedation only local anesthetic. I ask the doctor if it would be very painful without sedation and she very honestly told me that everyone has different pain so she couldn't give me an answer. She also told me that if I did think it was too painful during the procedure she would stop and give me the sedation. No I have had previous miscarriages and I do have children. So I don't know if these factors had an impact on the pain I felt. But honestly for me on a scale of 1 to 10 the pain was a 3 for less than 2 minutes. And because I received no sedation I was not dizzy or lightheaded after the procedure. I felt completely fine. The recovery room nurse was also very nice.
