A few things to note before visiting this centre
1. Be prepared to stand for at least 2 hours in cold weather as the line moves really slow if you are walking in to the centre
2. They have a new way to cheat people where they charge you $100 for making a correction to your application which they call as VIP service (Premium Lounge Fee as mentioned on receipt and some applicants were sitting on the floor on this premium lounge). The other option they give you is to come back another day or walk outside the building in cold again, make the change and get the form printed and then stand in line again to get a new token. If you drive an hour to reach this centre and want your work to completed on the same day you can understand how they play with your emotions to make profits.
3. Whatever the application fee amount is mentioned on the Bls website, you will pay 2-3 times of the same amount, I was charged $143 for PCC application and $193 for my passport renewal last year.
4. My sister had informed me that she needed one photo at the time of pcc application and she paid around $115 two months ago where she had the same correction required that I needed on my application and I was asked for 2 photos for pcc, my photo was taken at Bls and had Bls verified stamp on the back still the employee sat looking and thinking about how she can charge me to take another photo at the centre and kept on asking me which Bls we took the photo at and when.
5. Every person that was at the centre with me was charged $100 per application to fix any smallest change on the application or go back outside
It’s unfortunate that’s because you want your passport to be renewed or pcc, you are being ripped off and charged obnoxious amounts. The employees in the centre are not there to help you, they sit there to nitpick and find the tiniest non relevant mistakes and ask you to pay for photo if you don’t have the date stamp on the back or if you don’t have copy of something, you will pay $20 for a copy. They sit there to mint money from applicants.

I recently visited the BLS International office at 60 Gillingham Dr, Brampton, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. I encountered a significant issue where they demanded an additional $100 to correct a minor mistake on a form. Moreover, they insisted that if I wanted to make the correction myself, I would need to schedule another appointment, which was highly inconvenient. To add to the frustration, the customer service I received was quite rude and unhelpful. This experience left me disappointed with their service standards.

Visited BLS for surrendering my Indian passport and I must appreciate the improvement in services since my last visit. There is even a Photo Booth inside the office in case your photo needs to be retaken.

The best part is that now they actually adhere to the instructions mentioned on the site. I’ve heard from my friends that earlier even if you completely adhered to the document list mentioned on the site, the application will be returned to update with more.

But my experience was pretty seamless as they accepted only what was asked on the site. I was in and out in 15 mins.

Missing one star just because the passport surrender office was difficult to find. There is a service canada on the main floor (hence extremely busy outside) and no directions to the BLS office which is not on the same floor but the entry to which is a small door right next to the entry for Service Canada.

It seems BLS got the contract by bidding a low ball and has now trained their agents on how to extort money from applicants.

We just went to bls Brampton for surrendering our Indian passport. We dealt with Sarabjit Kaur. The service quality was really excellent and she was really helpful in explaining everything about the application process. Five stars:)

Had a wonderful experience. Officer Dips was such a nice officer that was out of our imagination at BLS India passport office. She helped us with correcting the mistakes while our passport surrender application right away on the spot. That's how the rest of the staff must follow to get admiration and serve our Indians abroad.

Sarabjit helped me promptly! It seems most of the time, applicants don’t fill up the forms properly and that leads to more processing time at the counters. One suggestion is to review the average processing time periodically and keep adjusting the appointments intake system accordingly. This will heal the overall flow!

Although I had an appointment, the wait was almost 90 minutes. Having said that, the serving officer, Sarbjit was friendly, professional and efficient. All services are within the same unit, so even if you need to fix your form or take another picture, you’re in good hands.

There was also an aggressive incident at a nearby counter which was handled well by the staff and security, with much kindness and deescalation. Says a lot about the Indian spirit of hospitality:) Hopefully, the next trip will be as smooth.

The one major miss is conflicting instructions on the OCI site versus BLS - if it weren’t for a friend, I wouldn’t have known of the checklist for documents.

Dips was fabulous! I was doing 3 applications for minors, I had a few things missed. She was so patient and took me step by step and helped me gather all the remaining documents. In other words, helped me complete the visa applications without having me to come back all the way from Toronto! Thank you Dips!
