Even after book an appointment, you have to wait 2-3 hrs more. What kind of system is that?
Clearly the number of applicants are increasing so why dont they open a few more offices?
Don’t let the 5 star reviews fool you, they ask the customers to give them these ratings once they arr served.

Reposting the Complaint #2 from one of review as it happened to me: bls personnel’s will try to find out mistakes on the form we filled and charge you without any receipt.
I was told by the BLS personnel serving me at the counter that they will not accept my application again if I correct it and bring it back in half an hour but they said a staff member can fill up the application for me for $30 with no receipt. I fail to understand this since if the staff has the time to fill the application again and then accept it, which will probably take more time, why are they not ready to accept if the applicant can bring it back in as much time with the required correction. They can easily serve other applicants in the meantime

Good morning BLS Team,

I already have an OCI which I obtained 8 years ago at the age of 52. Recently I obtained a new Canadian passport which obviously has no OCI sticker. I have already submitted all my details (including the photo) on Indian High Commission website and have received a confirmation email that says all documents have been successfully submitted. It's just an confirmation email, there's nothing else in it.

Do I need to do anything else? Am I supposed to obtain a new OCI booklet, or a new OCI sticker in my brand new passport? Could you please advise ASAP as I will be travelling to India next week? Thanks so much.

Been here couple of times before but experience wasn't that great. However this time was different, found a gem sitting at the counter #3 Pooja Sharma. She is extremely polite and professional, went above and beyond to help me.

I was there to apply PCC and made some mistakes in filling application form. Pooja guided me the right way and help me correct the mistakes. Happy client will be back and would like to get services from her again if any opportunity comes.

Processing was smooth especially officer Sarita she did all validation and printed missing supporting documents also, she responds very nice to all the quirey patiently

Please go early if you are going for walk in without appointment. They are not open till 8 so I was there from 4.30 am in the line and my number was 9 so there are 8 people ahead of me. If you lucky may be 10 or 15 will make in the office. Also take as much as documents and photocopies just in case.the lady Alsa and Zeenat both are nice.

So just want to let all the walking know that please try to book appointment online or be there 5 am yeah 5 am. Because if you come after 7. There will already be a huge line and security person told us if lucky only first 5-6 people make it inside. Rest just go home empty handed. Clearly they need to hire more staff or Aquire bigger place. I am disappointed that next available appointment is after dec 31 2021. Then I will take 2 months to process the application and boom no body wants to India in summer. Thanks

Went there second time for surrendering passport, rejected again.

Visit 1: Photo was having a shadow on back (in actual I wasn't able to figure out any shadow).
2. Name difference needs a self declaration (not mentioned over website).
3. Application has wife name so they need wife passport also (not mentioned anywhere)

Visit 2 (after more than 6 weeks of appointment wait) :
1. Name difference needs affidavit (previously told self-declaration).
2. Photo was same and okay this time.

Visit 3: will book online appointment, already wait for 6-7 weeks. Hopefully will complete my challenge this time.

People there also try to help you but that is only effective for your next visit (probably after 1-2 months). They have a good website available, nobody cares to update the exact practical issues people facing there daily.
One thing is for sure you get perfect vibe of visiting a govt office back home.

Be very careful when making a purchase to get pickup and drop off. I was chaged $200 for the service, and now BLS is failing to provide me the service and also refusing to give me a refund. They keep asking me to email ccsuport, but no one responds. They first of all unethical practices to get you to purchase the service and then don't fulfil their end of the deal.

I've always had issues dealing with them, but this is the worst they become. The Indian Consulate also doesn't help in these matters it's really sad to see an Indian being left to deal with such an incompetent company, and offer no help to it's Citizens.

Absolutely the worst service experience ever. Surprised to see so many positive reviews. These buffoons dont know what customer service is. Their appointment booking system would be thrown in garbage in any other country. It doesnt tell you there is no appointment available till you click and go to next month. They don't answer phone or email. Presumptuous, power drunk and full of couldn't care less attitude

At first I was little upset with the difficulty on getting appointment for OCI. But at the Toronto BLS centre, it was a great experience In person. Elsa at the centre did help me on my application and was a very good experience. All the staff was very helpful to people. If you treat them well, they will treat you very well!

I went to do OCi application today. I submit my application to Elsa. She was great person I got help with. Very polite and very friendly adviser. Very detail oriented. She knows what exactly needs to be done for right application. I am very very thankful to her. And I am very glad that I got her today to finish my oci application. Many thanks to Elsa again. Hope I spell right her name. But she had curly hair.

Amazing experience with BLS at Lawrence, Toronto location.
Bls officer, Elsa was very professional, helpful and kind. She guided me very efficiently through the complex process of OCI application and also helped me to correct the errors in my application.
Manish, the staff security was also well informed and answered all my queries.
Very pleased with my visit today.

Made appointment for Nov 16 and drove all the way from Etobicoke and reached before time and door were closed and sign " we are closed on Tuesdays" if that's the case BLS should not book appointments for the day they are closed, or they should inform us, really disappointed

Worst service I have ever seen. Passport renewal.
I am in Canada from 3 years. I got my PR during pandemic. I took all my documents including or card copy and copr. Now they are telling me that immigration category is not mentioned on my pr card or copr. They want me to contact Canadian government and get my immigration category. I don’t know how t get it. Also in pandemic Canadian immigration is working very slowly. My mother is not doing well in India so I had plans to travel which is very important for me. I am very helpless now because of bls. Please help.

Walk ins after 9 am not accepted. I did not know this, as the website didn't mention it anywhere, came at 9: 10 am and was told by guard to come back next day. These guys did not forget Indian bureaucracy values even in Canada. Good job

Best experience ever in an Indian services office. The staff member Nitin Gupta was extremely helpful and understanding.

My form had a few issues and he just asked me to redo the form right away and picked my application immediately after that.

In a time of stressful environment due to covid and the tension of PR application, his attitude relaxed me and my application was submitted.

October 20,2021 - Visited Again BLS today, was in line from 6: 20 AM to 10: 30 AM. With disappointment left the spot, staff shortage. I request Indian Consulate and Government to please look into this issue.
We represent India here, want the location to be improvised with good service. There were cops today, all walk-in and online appointment people were frustrated with the issue, situation getting heated.

There are no words to describe this pathetic place. Disgusting and filthy office. Incorrect information provided by the call centre vs what we are told in the office. Peanut shells thrown near the entrance, unclean and downright hopeless. What a fantastic image you leave for India

Someone wrote a review. I am trying to book an appointment for OCI which is completely booked for December. If someone can walk in and apply why do you even have the appointment system. Escalation form in contact doesn't work, please fix that.

"I was a walk-in at Toronto location who wanted Entry visa, but executive Elsa was kind enough to let me apply for OCI at the same time as well. She was very patient as I gathered, printed my documents and helped me throughout the process. She was helping others as I was taking my time with documents ensuring others are supported in the meanwhile. Things have improved dramatically at this location and to my surprise, it was not the same experience that I had several years ago. This time around, I had a great experience while getting our passports renewed here. It was raining heavily the day of our appointment and we had arrived 20 mins later than the slotted appointment time due to various unavoidable issues. Yet, the front desk person was very polite and understood the situation and let me in immediately (they let only one person inside due to covid protocols which is good). The entire process was done so quick and the lady who received our application was swift in processing and at the same time very polite while interacting with me. The covid protocols were also up to the mark ensuring social distancing is followed even with the person you are interacting in the counter. We also received our renewed passports in less than 3 weeks! Way to go BLS Canada.

I was scared to death after reading all the bad reviews.going all the way from Milton to north York was crazy and the idea that I might be send back for some petty issue was giving me nightmares.but I swear.the experience was more than good. I was made comfortable and I forgot a document and was readily interchanged with something I had. Mr Nipun Gupta was kind enough to check all the paper work patiently and guided me with everything.and no one told me to write this but I’m doing it for easing other people.if u go prepared it’s not that bad.and even if something is missing they are polite enough.thanks

Least understanding people, they think they are Indian government, where they are just application centres to help people who need help.

Worst experience, first mistake they sent you back. Rather be polite pointing all mistake so clients dont have to keep coming back.

Went 5 times each time was sent back like foolish teacher. They are worse than indian teachers.

Least they forget that they are in Canada, behave like indian leaving abroad.

They collect fees to help you and sent you back without helping.

Huge line outside the office. No appointments were honoured. The security guard was rude and wouldn't even let me and my wife wait in the line together. Despite arriving on time for our appointment, after standing in line for 15 mins we were told there would be another 30 mins wait. This is ridiculous.
