The food is good and the portions are generous. It's a bit dated, but this restaurant has been a mainstay in Welland for ages. Service is great, the waitress was very friendly.

Great place to grab delivery or dine in. Good old fashioned food like your mom made. From cabbage rolls, roast turkey and chicken dinners, burgers, or clubhouses, they got it. And don't forget the pies Good family style deals on take out for larger families/events/ parties. Including Broasted chicken and salad trays. Roast beef or turkey, pierogies, pies, butter tarts, and tons of other options. Staff is super helpful and friendly and they deliver to places outside Welland (port colbourne, Wainfleet, Townline tunnel road, fonthill, crystal beach and more for a small delivery fee using RC delivery.)

Great food. Pancakes were outstanding.super fluffy. Great portion size. Service was a little slow but otherwise a very positive experience.

My first time there, welcomed at the door and showed to a booth. My family and I very satisfied with service and food. Love the menu choices. Just go and relax and let them do the rest. Prices are fair.

I love this gem it’s been here in welland forever pretty much everything you can get there is Homesdale freshly cooked, cabbage rolls are great and if you ever in the mood for the best wings in the region I personally think, give this one a try! Very underrated place

Very friendly staff, large food portions and reasonable prices. Great selection of meals with daily specials.

The service was ok didn't ask us if we wanted drinks then threw them on the table on the way by the food was horrible re warmed french fries. Chicken fingers so tough you couldn't cut them or chew them three chicken fingers a half cup of fries 15.99 no side salad or veggie the rest of the meals were no better the floors were dirty I have never liked this place but thought give it another try won't be back spend your money at a better place

Every meal that I have ever enjoyed at Blue Star, wether take out or dine in, has always been delicious, comforting, fresh, and well prepared. The staff is always friendly, and the service is good. They are a Welland landmark and they truly live up to that designation.

They have a dish station in the middle of the booths We sat in a booth next to it. We couldn’t hear anything over the staff clearing dishes. It was soooo load I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. It today destroyed our dining experience, it literally sounded like they were smashing the dishes on purpose

Waited over 20 and never got served. People came in 10 minutes after and got served before our group. What a joke

It doesn't matter what you order here it will be excellent. Eat in or take, any time we're here with our friends Evey and Phil we order from here!

Absolutely the best hands down, they know their food and baked goods. Staff is excellent and the atmosphere is great. Hoping to try that peanutbutter pie soon!

The staff was very nice and welcoming and service was timely and the food was good. We enjoyed our first eat in experience and subsequent meals. The desserts are also deeelish!

The blue star has been and always will be the # 1 place for a quick bite or a delight for an evening out. Your hosts Brian n Johnny are always the most congenial people u could ever meet!

Really gone down hill especially when they have posted pictures of Justin Trudeau attending this place, Justin Trudeau is a liar and he's ruining this country.
Back to the food, you are served half of what you use to receive, I had the reuben sandwich and French onion soup, the sandwich was really tiny very thin, and the soup lacked really any onions, also asking for crackers I was told outright NO, and the waitress walked away. We waited until halfway through our dinner to get any drinks at all not even water, the waitress said she was busy, but we could see her texting on her phone. Sorry no tip, and we will never return to the Blue Star Restaurant. Two Thumbs Down
