We had the best date night at bluebird last night, Sam our server, provided one of the best service experiences we've ever had and I've been in the industry a very long time. Our meal was perfect as always. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

The Bluebird is a fantastic Restaurant with service that truly sets it apart. The cozy ambiance and classic food make for an unforgettable dining experience. The staff go above and beyond to ensure every guest feels like a part of the family. It's a gem that embodies the charm and hospitality of small-town dining that Orangeville does so well in supporting. The take out is great however if you are dining in I highly suggest reservation’s to ensure a seat annnd dipping your pizza in that Shrimp Gorgonzola sauce.

I am blown away from the high quality food and outstanding service. The service was attentive but not overly interruptive. I started with the calamari which was very different and extremely flavorful. My main was the seafood pasta. All fresh ingredients, shrimp, scallops and calamari again.we will definately be back. How can we not? It was so good

Found the place on a whim and I’m glad we did. The food was great, had great vibes and Amanda was a lovely server! The grilled shrimp gorgonzola was definitely a favourite!

First time at this lovely establishment, heard tons about it, finally drove 40 mins from North of Alliston to give it a try. TOTALLY WORTH IT. Top shelf food, wonderful service, great atmosphere. I am a self proclaimed French onion soup connoisseur and their soup rates in my top 5. They even have us a complimentary dessert to take home because it was our first time there. They have definately gained a new regular customer.
Highly recommend this great restaurant!

Stopped by on the way back from the camping trip. We had an amazing linguini pasta, woodfired pizza for kids AND a treat for our dog (with an official menu!). Service was exceptional and the patio was beautiful. We will definitely come back!

Bluebird has the absolute best food! Everything is always cooked to perfection and is truly delicious. Daily specials always keep it interesting. Staff are so pleasant, so happy and so willing to make sure your dining is perfect. We never go anywhere else!

What a great place! The staff, the food, the small town vibe.if you are driving through Orangeville, do yourself a favour and jump onto the main street and have a great meal, a local brew, and some great service at the Bluebird. Unfortunately for me, I am only a summer time local.but I will take what I can get! Our dog Finn loves the patio on those warm lazy sunny days.

I had a mixed green salad with their house vinegrette which was absolutely fab, the best part was the homemade croutons. I also had the ruby red G&T which was equally amazing. Would definitely go again. Our server and the manager were personable and looked like they loved their jobs!

Service and atmosphere are 200%. I had the veal parm and the coating all flaked off. The veggies were excellent.

Every time I've eaten here the food has been delicious and the staff are so friendly and wonderful.

This family-owned restaurant is one-of-a-kind! The food was delicious and the service was incredible! Our server Edi was so pleasant, and Rick and Michelle make you feel right at home. The wood fired Shelbyrita pizza transported us back to our vacations in Italy, and the certified angus beef was tender and cooked exactly to our liking. We can't wait to visit again!

We were in the area leaf peeping and decided to have a late lunch. We didn’t have a reservation but they were able to seat us. We were greeted by Melody, our server. She was an absolute delight! My husband had the Vitello Pugliese and ordered a side of garlic bread. I started with the French Onion soup and ordered the Catanzaro pizza. The French onion soup was delicious! It had a light broth with the perfect amount of bread and cheese. The cheese was perfect, not too bold or too bland.
Although I’m not a big fan of pizza without red sauce this pizza was amazing. Melody offered to get me a cup of red gravy in which I could dip my pizza. Perfect solution.
We were seated near the kitchen and I could taste the garlic bread just by its aroma alone. I just had to have a slice myself. My husband throughly enjoyed his meal. The veal was tender and the cream sauce was incredible. The potatoes and grilled vegetables were seasoned to perfection. I must agree as I couldn’t stop myself from stealing the veggies off of his plate. I had the white sangria and he had a couple of local beers to top off a perfect meal!

My Wife and I popped in unexpectedly during the week for lunch, although it was busy we were very fortunate and appreciative to get a table. The gentleman at the front made sure that we could be seated. The service was excellent and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. The whole experience was so far beyond our expectations. We decided to make reservations for our anniversary this weekend. Service was once again excellent and the food was great. Everything we had from the grilled calamari to the pasta and the steaks, especially the desserts has been some of the best we have ever had. We have found our staple in Orangeville and cannot wait to share it with friends and family!

I ordered the chicken sandwich and it was HUGE. It was also delicious, I never usually finish my food especially with that huge of a portion, but literally I finished it and my boyfriend was surprised. It was that good.

My friends really enjoyed their pizza and pasta dishes as well.

Incredible! Came in for lunch today and had the best gluten free seafood pasta I have ever had. The portions are amazing, the staff is so friendly. Our server Melody kept us smiling with her wonderful personality. Can’t wait to come back and try everything!

Had Bluebird for takeout awhile ago and as as usual everything was amazing. My hubby had a pasta dish which he finds hard to choose because hes a fan of them all and I had chicken which I find hard sometimes to choose over steak or Pizza. You often have the pizza with the chicken (I think its also spinach) chicken, onion and balsamic reduction as a special and I have been lucky enough to be there for lunch when it has been a speciial but would order it most times if it were permanently available. I used to ask in the past if they would make it for me but not sure if this is still an option. Was inquring to see if you would make it available permanently. My hubby loves it too as well as a few girlfriends. As always whether dining in or getting take out the food is always the same and it is our go to place to celebrate birthdays. Service staff and owners are great and I love how everything is to perfection that is why your business is a continued success. Another thing that is how take out is as good as dining in which is most often not the case. Love how the owner stops by your table to say hi and make sure everything is to your liking. If it is mentioned that a birthday is being celebrated you are always recognized and made to feel special

We went to Orangeville to meet up with friends who were camping from Vancouver to Halifax. Decided to pick Blue Bird cafe as they are dog friendly on the patio. Weather was bad in the morning so weren’t sure if the patio would be open.
The owner Ken set up a table and 4 chairs outside and an umbrella, in case the rain returned. We each had their pizzas which were fantastic! The owner and staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. It made for a great visit with friends who we hadn’t seen in many years. We will definitely return to this great establishment.
The menu has many tasty dishes so we are looking forward to trying many more. Thanks for a great afternoon! Orangeville should be proud to have this place!

Wonderful customer service and great food. Staff even brought us blankets when the patio got too cold with the wind. Highly reccomend!

The Bluebird Cafe & Grill is so consistently amazing in terms of food quality and over the top excellent service. Such a happy atmosphere to enjoy a meal with friends! Rick & Michelle are the best!

The only reason for 2 stars rather than 1 is the service was excellent.
The food, however, was disgusting. A pasta dish with undercooked meat and WAYYY too much lemon. Couldn’t eat it. Garlic bread tasteless. And a pizza drizzled with mayonnaise? Who is the chef? ! Gross meal.

We were at the Bluebird Cafe last Saturday evening…the meal was one of the best I’ve had in years! We ordered the grilled calamari, mussels (as they were a special) onion soup, goat cheese appetizer and steak…we were a group of 4! Everything was superb…I am from Niagara region and will drive to Orangeville just to visit this amazing restaurant

Been to this restaurant a couple of times. The time to videos are what drew me the first time. The atmosphere, the staff, and the owners are friendly and kind and make an effort to come to your table. The food did not disappoint either. Will definitely be returning soon. So cute and welcoming! My husbands and I went for lunch for Valentine’s Day and the team at the Bluebird Cafe were notch (not to mention the food was outstanding). It was a chilli day and the owner Rick was handing out blankets to help us warm up from the cold. I’ve never seen this level of hospitality before. The owners Rick and Michelle went out of their way to welcome us and make us feel at home. Also, Michelle makes the best cheesecake I’ve ever had. Definitely worth the trip to Orangeville!

Hit and miss for me. My brother loves your lasagna. Kinda pricey for Italian. *Dear Michelle and Rick, In response to your response, the rest of my fam loves your place! Perhaps I just ordered the wrong dish for myself. I'm also a little spoiled because I live in Toronto, and for Italian, It's Cafe Diplomatico. What should I order next time?

Id give 0 stars if possible. We ordered once based on so many good reviews and the food was mediocre. We decided to give them another chance and placed an order for pick up. After paying in advance and waiting in excess of 30 minutes we received our food ice cold with "apologies" from the owner and a $30 gift voucher.our pre paid tip alone was $24. I would have rather he slapped us in the face it would have been less disrespectful.

We went here about a week ago. Our salmon app was not good bread was burnt and proportions were way off. We can't remember what our main courses were. Not memorable but not awful.

Had such an incredible time here, the staff was wonderful and welcoming, even though the restaurant was busy. We enjoyed our food and drinks and our server Alexis was so hospitable, she made us feel like old friends. We had a chance to chat with the owner Michelle as well, and she made us feel very much at home. We'll definitely be back!

This was my first time at Bluebird. We were a party of 8 with 2 children. Our server was Cassandra-she was honestly the best server we ever had at a restaurant. Her attentiveness and interactions with the kids made the experience so enjoyable for both us and them. The food was amazing, everyone ordered something different and it didn't disappoint. We can't wait to go back!

Awesome food, great service by Skylar. Tried 3 starters and 2 mains, all were great, added extra stir fry due to potato removal for Keto, the owner Rick dropped over also to check on us, will be back for sure, please go there, it's worth the drive if you are close to Orangeville.

We had a delightful visit! The service was A-1, thanks Skylar! The food was some of the most delicious we have enjoyed in a long time. When rain began on the patio, management was quick to ensure an umbrella was installed over our table. We cannot wait to visit again!

There food will make you cry and lick the plate clean period! Here for business and got hooked on the grilled Calamari and Cesar salad which were both excellent recommendations from the staff. Don’t judge me…. But I’ve been there every day for lunch like clockwork lol great ambiance /great takeout packages and they write the best notes on your bags? Overall AMAZING! Thank you

Fabulous food and exceptional customer service! We were so impressed with the customer service when we ordered take out for my birthday! We ordered dinner with wine but when my husband picked up the order he forgot to grab the wine on his way out. The staff at Bluebird called about 15 minutes later and said that the owner was on his way to personally drive the remaining order to our house (which is about 20 minutes away from the restaurant). The staff/owner truly went above and beyond to delivered an exceptional experience that we will always remember! Highly recommend!

The customer service was excellent! We arrived about 15 minutes before when we said we would pick up our food. They dealt with the bill and brought the food out when it was ready. The only down side was they deal with gift cards over the phone or in person, but not in the online ordering.

The food was delicious. My son scarfed down the whole cheese pizza on the long ride back home. The steak was super thick, which is why they only do the middle medium rare. It was excellent. And the pasta dish my wife ordered was lovely. Wiping up the white cream sauce with the roll was a pleasure in the mouth. If you are excessively sensitive to spicy food, the pepper and jalapeno in these dishes will give what I consider the mildest of kicks, but you may feel otherwise.

While not the cheapest place to eat, it is definitely a place I would recommend trying if you are in the Orangeville area. Parking is available in the back off of Armstrong Street, and that is where the Take-Out entrance is.

Bluebird forgot one of our mains in a takeout order. Rick rushed the forgotten item over to our house and threw in another appetizer for free. Food is fantastic and level of service is top notch.

Brought a girl here on a date once. Nice atmosphere, clean restaurant and friendly staff. My meal was “Ok” my date really enjoyed hers! Hope to come here again one day.

The food is AMAZING and the service is great! The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because the atmosphere is very noisy. It’s crowded (a testament to their wonderful cuisine), but this makes it very difficult to hear and to be heard during conversations at the table. Best cheesecake on the planet!

Went here for a birthday lunch with some ladies. So thankful we made reso's because this place was Full. It was small but cozy. The food was very delicious. I ordered the seafood linguine- I highly recommend. I'll be back to order that entree again. Nice portion, great flavours, perfect temperature. The 3 grilled shrimp were tasty like grill. And the 2 scallops were perfect melt in your mouth. We ordered mushroom sillizer, bruschetta, and calamari as starters. Mushrooms were really fantastic. The calamari was not breaded and came on a nice plate. The bruschetta wasn't anything special. It needs something more, but idk what. Wood fired pizza was popular. I'll be back to order those, too. French onion soup was dissapointing. Too watery, cheese not broiled enough. Creme brulee for dessert.was scrumptious. A really nice crack. Haha.
Staff were friendly, worked together as a team, were great with water top-ups and splitting bills. I made sure I left a decent tip because they deserved it.
Feedback: we were.a table of 6 and we all had purses and winter jackets, and.some shopping parcels. There was no where to put our stuff. After eating when using the restroom, I noticed a row of hooks, a place to put my jacket. Wish I saw it on my way in. It would be out of my sightlines, so I probably wouldn't leave my purse or shopping on the hooks. The washrooms were ok. There's only 2, so I can imagine line ups can form pretty fast. I'll be back here, maybe even a few times. I'll know to pack light. And not bring my stroller.

Our new Orangeville favourite. Check the date on reviews for the Bluebird as some are BEFORE the new owners, and no longer apply. Wine options are limited but provide enough selections to compliment their broad and interesting menu choices. Scores of veal options appetizingly prepared and served with quality ingredients and often with a friendly greeting from the new owners Rick and Michelle. Lunch or dinner, the reasonable prices and good quality keep us coming back, and will undoubtably continue to do so.

Great Italian food. Our pastas were delicious, and the cocktails were great, a good size and not overpriced. The wine is marked up roughly double, which is refreshing for us Torontonians, who usually face triple mark-ups. Several times the owners or managers checked in to make sure everything was great. Highly recommended for Italian food in Orangeville.

My wife and I decided to return to the Bluebird on Dec 28th for our anniversary after a bad experience with the previous owners many years ago, and could not be happier with our decision. The new owners are absolute gems and have turned the Bluebird into what I feel is the ‘go to’ restaurant in Orangeville, something that we all need. Food was beyond delicious and the atmosphere was amazing. The restaurant was busy, which is always a good sign, but this did not distract from a fast, very warm and courteous service. Eating our meal was a relaxing experience and at no time did we feel rushed, as you are sometimes made to feel in restaurants nowadays. Pricing was extremely reasonable for the high quality of food on our plates, of which every morsel was eaten! After coffee we were greeted at our table by Michelle, who introduced us to Rick, two of the nicest restaurant owners you could meet. They both, along with their amazing Chefs (s) and team, made our 20th anniversary a memorable occasion and have turned around my views on the restaurant into a five star experience to which I have recommended to all my friends…

With all the fantastic reviews and high ratings plus the recommendation from my husband to try I might of had to much of an expectation of this resturant to begin with. The three star rating simply is, the staff were amazing very welcoming and even though it were busy they didn't just "forget" about us like some do. Secondly, the owner whom I did not get the gentleman's name was very tentative to customers making sure to come around and ask how the dinner was etc. The reason for the missing 2 stars to make this fully 5 was simply the food was not up to par. Despite the hugh amounts of raving reviews over how good the food was, my husband and I weren't impressed.

We had ordered to start the bruchetta with additional charge of 1.50 for goat cheese. Which by our surprise came out as a pizza! We thought it was an interesting take on a classic, but as soon as you bit into it the bottom had a very bitter burnt taste, while the tomatoes looked absolutely delicious were tasteless. The only saving grace was the goat cheese, which was a very disappointing start.

As our entrees, I had the special pasta of the night which included shrimp (only 2), bacon, onion, pepper, arugula, tomatoes and zuchinni and my husband had the 8oz chicken with baked potato and vegetables. We waited a whole 60mins for our food to be presented.

We shall start with my husbands, now the chicken had flavor but it went to the side of being extremely dry. But overall was a decent dish he didn't mind eating.

Now mine, the only thing that had flavor was the amazing 2 shrimp on my pasta! Everything else was just extremely tasteless. Which made me very disappointed as there was so much "ingredients" to make this very flavorful.the only thing I tasted was an overpowering bacon. It was just a "okay" something I could eat because I was starving and secondly it wasn't that special for the almost 24 dollar price tag attached to it.

Now the owner did come over, and I did let them know for next time, so the chef will know for other customers. He was very apologetic, and asked to make another one 2 times to me. But we were almost half way through, and honestly at that point I didn't want to wait, since my husband was almost finished his plate. Just a huge inconvenience but appreciative of the fact he would make another dish if I wanted.

The last, we had to try the dessert. My husband got the special mint candy cane cheesecake and I got the frozen turtles cheesecake. My husband isn't one to complain, obviously by me writing this I'm the nit picker in the family. But even he said the mint candy cane cheese cake was just wrong on so many levels. The over powering of cheese mixed in with mint just tasted like toothpaste.just wasn't his thing. But my turtles cheesecake was amazing, it was very delicious and well made:)

So your at the end of reading my review, but please go for yourself to try. Perhaps we just had a bad night, but when my bill came in and it was almost over 100 dollars with the tip. I have to admit, personally to me for the food we had isn't worth the amount I paid and we won't be returning. This is obviously just my opinion and is in no way shape or form to take away others good experiences.:)

Was in Orangeville for a night with a friend and we were lucky enough to eat at the Bluebird Cafe. Impeccable service. OUTSTANDING FOOD. Lovely wine. We ordered four appetizers for dinner. I have to say, the Bluebird spinach, egg, and blue cheese salads is one of the best salads I have ever eaten, anywhere! Simply gorgeous. And the sizzling mushrooms served in a cast iron pan were also exquisite. Very impressed. Thank you!

Have been going there since I moved to Orangeville in the 1990s. The new owners have transitioned well and service and food continue to exceed itself each time I go. Pizzas are tasty and the calamari is fantastic.
