Beware of the older Filipino woman working reception. She is an extremely RUDE and CONDESCENDING person who should not be interacting with patients — people, period!
From beginning to end, she was disagreeable and loud. I said, “Hello, Good morning” but she ignored me; The younger Filipino lady was the opposite — friendly, attentive and professional.
I asked for a pen when asked to provide my info and the older woman barked sarcastically, “It’s right in front of you! ”
An older Caucasian gentleman behind me also suffered from her BAD ATTITUDE and raised voice. “That’s not what I asked you. I know I have to wait. How long approximately is my wait? […] Sorry, my Tagalog is bad. I took lessons but failed. ”
The older Filipino woman shouted “You have to wait 45 minutes, okay! ”
The X-ray technician, Karen, was extremely nice and professional.
My doctor requested ultrasound be done quickly. Called Bluewater and was given appointment immediately and had very pleasant procedure done. Her voice was calming and she was so kind and easy to be with. All explained very well and no worries.
I had an appointment booked over the phone for which i took off from work. Once i was there, they easily said we don't see an appointment here in a very rude way. They did not apologized. And she also estimated the waiting time wrong. She said we will have an appointment in 30 mins, and i had to sit there for 50 minutes. Very bad experience. Customer service is terrible. They are not respectful.
I’m waiting 2 weeks for the results of ultrasound! It was so urgent and I called them many times for asking about the results! And unfortunately they don’t care about the patients! I don’t recommend this place for ultrasound.
I find the online request really easy: I have always been called within 2 days to confirm appointment. I also have not had the same experience with the reception as some of the reviewers. The reception has always been kind to me and I have seen them be extra patient with older patients and patients who do not speak English well. I am always admitted on time and the radiographers/ technologists are super here. My only complaint is not BI's fault: If you are not a patient waiting for your appointment, don't take up a seat! The chairs are limited and often taken up by an patient's entourage. Please wait for your person outside and let someone with a health issue take the seat.
I wanted to come on to echo what others have said. The central booking line is incompetent and unprofessional and it’s concerning to me that they are trusted with peoples’ medical files. The report process is lengthy, to say the least. It is impossible to get help on the phone in a reasonable time from someone who isn’t actively hostile. Today, I was asking why my report hadn’t been sent to the specialist yet (I’d signed a consent form to that affect, my specialist’s receptionist has called twice for the report and my specialist himself called right in front of me during an appointment). Despite all our collective efforts I was told today that they have nothing on file aside from my GP. How? !? When I dared ask to speak with a manager I was told ‘I’m trying to help you’ to which I replied, ‘you’re not and we’re talking in circles which is why I want to escalate the call. ’ Then the representative told me they refused to call my specialist to get the fax number themselves since we’d provided it several times to date and it’s not readily available to me (I’d have to call my specialist to get it AGAIN … we don’t fax these days … I hadn’t thought I’d need to save a fax number I wasn’t using when I’d passed it on several times already). I asked the receptionist their name and they hung up on me. I wasn’t rude, I didn’t swear, I didn’t raise my voice. I was just obviously frustrated and asking the clinic to be responsible for its mistakes instead of putting it back on me.
I have been sent here From a walking clinic for an abdominal pain, After 2 months, nobody have received the x-ray results. Im surprising how can still running medical offices like this one in Toronto. But I’m not surprised for few things. Radiologist was ok, but receptionist, a Filipino woman, was rude and looks makes this job just a job. Health work has to take with more care, it’s not just a job. Its hard for someone to understand this.this workplace lacks of organization at my eyes and now I can see …still, the 4th of January, I’m trying to call it and I can’t reach anybody… honestly.ridiculous.
Definitely don't do it here. I got mine done on Dec 20th and on January 12th, the results are not ready yet. I emailed them the requisition form but I was asked to go print it so after the appointment, I had to go find a place in the cold to print it for $4. I have to say that the technician was good though, very considerate but no point if the doctor does not receive the results on time.
I waited 5 weeks to get my ultrasound result. And this was after I followed up with them 4 times over the phone to push them to prioritize. This is absolutely ridiculous. And the ultrasound report was not descriptive enough I had to get another ultrasound at a different clinic shortly after. I wish they had an option for 0 star.
Will never return to this place again. I did my X-Ray on Nov/9th and they sent the report to my doctor today which is Dec/15th. It took them more than a month! What If I had a fracture or something serious! Very irresponsible! The worse place ever…
The staff was nice enough but my xray and ultrasound results were not forwarded to my doctor for 2.5 weeks. I had to physically go back to their office after no luck with a few calls and a voicemail. Only when I went there to request to see my results, the receptionist lodged an urgent call to locate them. My whole experience was very frustrating and disappointing.
The xray technician was professional and efficient. But the customer service by the filipino receptionist alone makes me never want to go back again because it would be a disservice to myself to sign up for getting yelled at. She has no people skills whatsoever and she yells at everyone who comes in. She can't communicate properly to begin with which causes confusion and leads to her yelling at patients even more. An example would be that a man went to the front desk to check in and she immediately yelled at him to wait outside, he asked "do you even know who i am? " and she says yes you're an appointment. Later on, another client missed their appointment and she yelled at them for not checking in earlier. The rest of the people waiting outside with me were just laughing at the nonsense that everyone was subjected to just for trying to get an xray. There are so many other xray clinics out there to choose from.
The technician that did my ultrasound was lovely, kind, and patient. But the main booking centre is completely inept. I called in three times for a copy of my images, gave my details, got no reply until I followed up *again* only to be told that I can only make such a request online. If I had been told this on my first call, it would have saved a lot of stress and unnecessary wasted time. Even the woman who did finally give me this information then proceeded to hang up on me. Never going back here.
Despite bad reviews in regards to their customer service, I'm glad my experience was the opposite. The awful receptionist that people was talking about was friendly, making conversation and smiling. Initially, I booked at another place but I found this place with an earlier appointment date and closer to home. I was guided immediately to the x-ray room, as for the ultrasound, the waiting was +20min, hence - 1 star. Overall, I'm happy with the experience, will be back if needed and hoping next time I won't have to wait that long for the ultrasound.
Filipino lady receptionist has awful customer service and is extremely rude. She yells at patients and when talking on the phone all the time. The technician was absolutely fabulous.
Accompanied my finance for her XRAY a little before closing time & we were pleased with the services. She was taken in within 15 min and the test was quick. Staff were friendly. Thank you.
Extremely long wait time. The receptionist likes to yell at patience. The technicians in the back are lazy and would often go on extended breaks and not check the charts until the receptionist goes back there and yells at them. The whole place is poorly run and clearly does not care about the patients. One patient was feeling discomfort from waiting too long and they just told her to sit down or leave, not taking any responsibility or giving any apologies.
Our appointment was over 70 minutes late. And they just shrugged it off as normal.
I needed an appointment last minute and the booking staff was friendly and did her best to fit me in to this location. When I got there, the staff there was welcoming and cheerful. The technician was very pleasant and compassionate. The service at this place is great and would recommend.
They are located in the same building as my specialist and I am very grateful to them. I can do my ultrasound / x-ray and then right after go see my specialists who gets the images right away and will talk to me about my progress. Thank you!
The rudest and most unhelpful representative over the phone. I called asking to confirm the location and appointment time and she could not find me under her system.she did not suggest to check if I had a middle name or anything with was the case.she hung up before I finished my sentence. If you are not in a good mood don't come in to work.or find another job.
Everyone including front desk staff & technician was extremely accommodating and professional. The clinic is very close proximity to transit. Highly recommended!
They aren't actually located at 2190 Yonge anymore, so when you show up be prepared to walk over to 150 Eglinton East. No one will tell you this on the phone. Once you walk to their second location and are late for your appointment, the secretary will give you attitude and tell you she can tell by looking that you're too fat for their equipment. If you weigh over 220lbs and need an x-ray just save some time and go to the hospital.
Only book an appointment with them if you are desperate! My experience was disastrous. It started with me sending the requisition via email and they couldn’t find it. I sent them about 5 times and they kept saying they were not receiving it (email address was correct) Then they made me wait 45 minutes, and when finally my times come, the technician doing the ultrasound tells me she has no appointment under my name! So after a few back and forth with receptionist she finally was ready to perform the ultrasound Finally when came the time to fax the results, my doctor confirmed he didn’t get them so I had to contact Bluewater to resend. Still waiting to see if my doctor got the fax The place is poorly managed for sure. The receptionist was nice, despite all the hiccups
I am an employee at BWI and had several ultrasound done in this location. The technologist in this clinic is very experienced and amazing! This clinic is located right beside the Yonge and Eglinton subway and it is clean, bright, and very spacious. I would highly recommend it for any imaging needs.
