I’m in Barrie for school and needed a touch up. This was the 1st pick due to all the raving reviews and I was not disappointed! Natalia was amazing and such a sweetheart. Explained everything she was doing, letting me know my hair is healthy and even helped me pick colour for my hair to blend the “greys”. Thank you so much ladies for fitting me in last minute. I will def be back when I return In April.

I went in for a perm, at my consultation I was told that I would need to cut a bit of length off my hair to make it work for the reference photo I had given them of a spiral perm on long hair. I was very honest about the products used in my hair, which was just a black box dye done about a month before the actual appointment. I was told it was absolutely doable, so when I come in to get about 5-6 inches cut off my very long healthy hair (that I had proudly been working to grow out for about 5 years) to achieve the curls I was hoping for, after being sent home with soaking wet hair after my appointment (should have been my first clue) I find that only a curl or two in the back of my head remained and about 85% of my hair fell totally flat again. They have completely ruined my hair. Not to mention the attitude and the eye rolls when I ask for a refund for services that did not work AT ALL. They even tried to blame me and my hair dye over the phone. No wonder the stylist was reading the perm solution instructions AS she was doing my hair. Don’t say you can absolutely do something for a client when you even need to Google about it after the fact.
I’ve been heartbroken since I got it done the other day. I wouldn’t mind the new length if I got the curls I asked for. I didn’t even get a loose wave. My hair looks AWFUL.
Oh and by the way, if you call in to the store to book an appointment, there’s a high chance they’ll complain to whoever is in their chair about everything you said.
I never write reviews, but I just had to warn people.

My experience at Blume was a very welcoming one. The ladies there are so friendly. The atmosphere is calming and delightful. The service was outstanding. They take the time to explain and inform you about your hair and the products they use. They are honest and open.
I definitely recommend Blume Beauty Lounge to treat yourself.

I had a great experience at this lovely salon. The staff were very welcoming and Cassandra did an amazing cut for me. She listened to what I wanted in a short cut and did a great job! I have already booked my next appointment! Thanks Cassandra.

First time at the salon today. Natalia did such a wonderful job cutting my very fine hair. She was full of knowledge and so kind and friendly. It was a lovley experience and I will be going back to see her again when the time comes again.

First time booking and Erica F did an amazing job cutting my hair. I’ve always struggled to find a salon that could live up to the experience and expertise I had before I moved cities and Erica did exactly that! I couldn’t stop smiling while she cut my hair, you couldn’t really tell she knows her stuff! She did a very thorough consultation and we sorted out all of my concerns with length and layering. She is damn saint, and a funny one at that. I will definitely be coming back to see her!

I recently had my second appointment at this salon with Kaileah and had highlights and lowlights added. Kaileah made me feel comfortable instantly from the very first phone call. She is a very talented colourist and helped make suggestions since I am always on the fence about what I want. At no point did she make me feel pressured into buying extra services or products which I have experienced at other salons.
My hair came out great for each visit!
Also, the salon itself is beautiful with high loft ceilings and interesting decor.

Not only is it the most beautiful salon I’ve been in, the staff is incredible! The owner is amazing and very hard working. I’ve done a lot of services here but most recently I had my eyebrows powdered! Amd OMG I can’t be happier!

As someone who loves their hair and I do not trust anyone with it after hearing so many different horrible stories. This is a place I can confidently say they are amazing! I’m a hard person to improve especially when it comes to services. This is the best place to get your hair done, especially if you need a wash, hair cut. I leave this place falling in love with my hair all over again. I highly highly recommend this place. It’s so welcoming and warm, the staff actually talk to you and care for you.

I usually don't write reviews unless it's worth my time. I had a terrible experience in this salon. Firstly, they charged me $287 dollars for a cut and colour (nothing ordinary). Double of what they had charged me 5 months prior for the same service and level of hair dresser at same salon. To add insult to injury, the hair dresser who cut my hair had no idea what she was doing. I had been going there for a few years and since there was such turnover, I always had a different had dresser.
I wasn't lucky this time. The hair stylist was probably a student. She had no idea what she was doing.
I remarked that I wasn't sure what she was doing, was not satisfactory to me and not done for the type of haircut I was looking for (pixie cut), showed a photo of what I wanted and she still didn't know what I was looking for.
I will never go back. I was ripped off, and warn any person who thinks they are getting a haircut by a knowledgeable hairdresser not to go there.
I am still upset because hair take a long time to grow and for the amount of money they charged me which is ridiculous for a haircut.
Stay away from this place!

Sara has created a beautiful and inviting salon space. Not only is there exceptional talent and care in services, but the environment and friendliness is unmatched. I’ve been to many salons and at Blume, I truly witnessed consistent care when dealing with clients. Absolutely love the dynamic here and am a loyal customer.
