The worst bmo branch ever. Will report them to corporation for sure. Terrible customer service. Lazy staff. Their counting machines don’t work properly! It’s a disaster over there. They can’t help you with what you need. I asked for the total deposits of my past year and she just printed this whole papers showing my account and their balance! So useless!

If you want to get the wrong change come here. I did a cash exchange for $40. This guy gave me $30 back in coins. He did not give me the right amount but I trusted him and put it in my bag as he’s a bank employee. Mind you, this is not the first time this happened with this same employee.

Next day, I came back to retrieve the missing $10. First employee who I went to was not very nice and her tone was rude. Then she told me to go to the guy that did it for me. I went to him and explained the situation. He asked me for a receipt, but I explained to him that he never gave me a receipt. He then continued to make me feel stupid like I didn’t know how a bank worked. I can understand that they have certain restrictions when it comes to helping a customer without a receipt, but just shrugging it off and refusing to help a customer is unprofessional, no matter the situation. Let me give some advice. If you make a mistake, don’t stand there telling me “maybe I gave you the wrong change, but you didn’t verify”. The guy should have double checked as well. Maybe next time check your CCTV, check your book log, go get the manager. Don’t just tell me things that are of common knowledge and stand there. This was mainly the employees fault yet he made it seem like he couldn’t help me with that.

The only person who helped and actually took action was the manager. But this location seems to always make mistakes haha…

This bank is the worst I have ever worked with. Some of their staff are not well-trained. A Korean or Chinese girl called Michi is so rude while she doesn’t have precise information. Also, another guy gave me the wrong swift code and put me in trouble for transferring money!

I don’t recommend this branch, if you are urgent. Friendly staff. But SUPER SLOW! 5 ppl were lining up in front of me. It took around 40-50 mins for my turn.

Be prepared for nothing more than a negative experience at this branch where your time waiting as a customer is not at all cared about by the inadequate and understaffed personnel. How utterly insulting it is to wait in a long line and watch staff chat with each other with total abandon for their customers’ experience. They have totally earned the overwhelming low review score and in actuality, the true experience is lower than what is reflected since zero stars is not an option. BOM Head Office - Does this not bother you at all? The teller did not even respond when I raised my concern. My guess is, she is numb from hearing it all day.

Just came in here on a regular business day. Not a weekend or holiday. Only two tellers working exceptionally slowly and there a is a mile long line! All the while I see staff having a meeting in the plain view of all anxiously waiting customers! It is almost like mocking! Terrible customer service and totally unprofessional! Would never come back here!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I had to get. Anew debit card today and had the worst experience.

I provided two pieces of ID, phone number, work location, recent transactions as well as where I opened my account.

Instead she quizzes me on why my drivers license has an out of town city (still Ontario). Then takes the phone and secretly tries to call me, without notifying me which I have never in my life seen someone do. When I asked if she is calling me as my phone is ringing, she says yes It’s to verify me. What was the goal here? To see if my phone rings? What if it was in the car?

Then she gives me my debit card, and tells me she has to see me sign it. Would not let me update my pin without me signing it lol. We got into a slight argument, and I said this isn’t my first time that I lost my card. And she actually says yes you lost it on -insert date- as if to shame me.

This doesn’t end here. I asked for my ID back TWICE. Instead of providing me with it, she proceeds to lecture me on the expiry of my drivers license. I am fully aware of this, and for my personal reasons I do not need to disclose why I am waiting to renew it (in line with government updates). However she is not giving me my ID back, instead is now discussing information that has nothing to do with her.

I have never in the 10 years I’ve been banking with BMO gone through that. If you wanna feel like a criminal, please go to this location.

THIS IS THE MOST LOW TECH, SLOW, UNPROFESSIONAL BANK IN ALL CANADIAN A TIER BANKS, EVEN B TIER BANKS HAVE BETTER FINANCIAL SERVICES, I AM REALLY SURPRISED HOW THIS BANK CATEGORIZED IN BIG CANADIAN BANKS, MOBILE APP IS A JOKE, ONLINE BANKING BELONGS TO 50 YEARS AGO, STAFF IN BRANCH KNOW BETTER ABOUT WEATHER THAN BANKING SERVICES, TELEPHONE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TORTUROUS. I banked here since 97. Unfortunately the constant change of staff, their inability to offer pleasant customer service, and the rudeness of their managers has lead me to move my account. The managers tone and condescending attitude is the complete opposite of what customer service should be. You're running a bank not the army barracks. And after reading several reviews outling how rude the manager is I would hope that at some point in time they themselves would be reviewed and assessed and placed in a custome service course, their behaviour is a reflection of the entire BMO community and which I no longer want to be a part of. I'm moving my business account for sure.

There is always a line-up and the staff keeps chatting with clients despite long lines. Last time, I was waiting for 20 min to get served and the manager was just walking by and didn't bother to call extra tellers.

We have recently opened an account with this branch and worked with Karina Xu. She is an extremely professional banker who knows the business and the processes very well. Her dedication to the job is remarkable and the support she provides to her clients prior and after opening the account is phenomenal. I recommend her and the Hillcrest BMO branch to whoever is looking for an exceptional banking service.

This branch is the reason I switched from BMO to TD after doing my banking and investments in BMO for over 10 years. Totally mismanaged, impossible to schedule appointments, long lines, poor attitude towards customers.

Extremely rude manager or assistant manager.not sure what position she was. She had no respect and I was visiting this branch January 7th at around 12: 30 in the afternoon. She spoke to her staff members disrespectfully and did not acknowledge me as a customer, I have been with BMO for years and this branch is a branch I will never visit again.

Very bad experience talking with this branch's Assistant Manager! She was rude and disrespectful and when I said that I would share this experience with the head office, she proudly acted like the complaints or feedback had zero effect on what they are doing or the way they're treating customers! So shameful! I won't go to that branch anymore.

I visited branch last friday evening around 7 PM for some cash withdrawal. Michelle (very helpful) had opened my account at this branch but I was disappointed to know that she had left early that day. To my surprise, my experience with Tina, Drishi (at the entrance) and Branch manager was wonderful. All three ladies were professional and cooperative. It was so nice talking to them as if I knew them for long! I highly recommend banking at this branch.

My encounter with the staff, Golnar, was extremely unpleasant. BMO clearly made a mistake by charging the 10.95 student fee when it has not yet expired. Earlier, the guy at the major mac branch says the student plan only needs to be renewed once a year before September, which matched what I was told when I signed up last August. However, after asking for a refund, Golnar told me (with a very bad attitude) that I must renewed the student plan every 6 months-justifying why I was charged. If the policy has changed, why wasn't I notified and why is there inconsistencies between the two BMO branches? But wait, she then had the AUDACITY to say it was my fault for not checking my checking statement sooner for the discrepancy and she was hesitant to give me the refund. Eventually after explaining the situation again and her asking the manager, I did get my refund but all this poor attitude was so unnecessary.

My sister passed away - a long time member of this bank - I the beneficiary sent all the documentation to her branch BMO Dufferin Street, the employee there was very helpful and sent the documentation re death - to the Hill Crest Mall location in Richmond Hill which was more convenient for me. I work long hours and did call the banks phone # - where I was not able to talk to a real person and left a detailed message as requested. No response - sent 4 or 5 messages still no response. Contacted the President re complains did receive a call while I was away working. BMO was not sesitive to the death of my sister and they only added more stress to this very emotional time of my life. I will now go to the bank in person and hopefully get this over with. I will never use BMO at any time. Customer Service is terrible. Hours of operation where you can actually reach a real person by phone do not exist, they force you to leave a message - where no one will call you back!

Before I started dealing with BMO, I thought CIBC was the worst bank in Canada. I was wrong. BMO takes the solid lead! This is probably the only bank where even a manager does not know how the payments work for their own credit cards.

I've been taking money out of my family resp for my daughter's post secondary education for the last 5 yrs and every the bank staff give me a hassle and difficulties. I do not recommend this branch.

Not professional branch Everyday have new face and don’t know what they’re doing No wondering why’s so quiet and not much customer couple months ago my wife close her account @ this branch and I’m going to do that do they charge higher than my TD and this is service
