My 85 year old mother, a 30+ year customer of this branch, and 50+ year BMO client, is moving cities so she went to retrieve her safety deposit box from this branch and when they opened the door, there was no box inside. They also discovered that she had been given two different keys - including one for a different box (!). This is alarming. When she called the next day to find out if they located it - (which they hadn't) and asked what they were going to do about it, the branch manager told her they were not responsible and offered no solution. Obviously upset by this, my mother voiced her displeasure, respectfully but firmly. The worst thing she said "I'm not happy with the way you are running this branch" - three of her children were listening - to which the branch manager told her that she was coming close to CROSSING THE LINE. Upon reading the other reviews of this branch (1.7️'s) I can't say I'm surprised at the poor customer service, however, the negligence and cavalier attitude towards losing someone's important possessions in the security of A BANK is incredibly concerning. That branch manager has no business dealing with clients of any type, but especially elderly clientele. Rest assured the formal complaint process is underway.

Just a quick review how bad this bank is, I bought a stove burner from a store and 3 attempts of delivering the part, they couldn't get a part that wasn't broken into pieces or wrong part (I inspected parts at the counter before leaving the store). The store refused to refund money and send me on my way without refund. Opened dispute and months later BMO have not refunded my money and keep asking the same questions and same invoices approximately 5-6 times already and counting, contacted complaints department at BMO guy just transferred me back to Disputes department.just the most disorganized bank I ever dealt with!

Worst bank services I’ve ever experienced, specially for new comers. Handover ridiculous 500cad limit credit card that is frozen for 12 months? ! Just useless.
They are also unable change debit card purchasing limit, that seems to be the most complicated thing on earth to do? ! Just stay away.

Came here morning and after work, both have short wait time. They solve my problems and gave great advices and information, really helpful.

Big kudos to Chris Riley, private banking officer at BMO downtown, this dude went above and beyond to resolve a cheque issue I had at Scotiabank, reliable and pronto to answer his phone, showed ownership and care for his customers. He coordinated very efficiently the issue between my bank (Scotiabank) and BMO. I think Chris deserves recognition or have his salary increase; because of people like him banking will always be a great experience.

Went by to upgrade my account to my employer preferred plan. I didn’t have an appointment but I was seen to within 5mins of being there. Michael and Michelle helped out and the service was great overall.

Horrible! Absolutely brutal! Made me call twice on the same day and made me wait over an hour both times! BMO - Better Make Other plans. Shame on you as a company. Your customer service has been getting worse and worse over the years. Avoid them like them like the plague.

The teller had horrible attitude to the client. Her sound is lazy and did not provide any useful information.
