Oh just an awful place to do any banking. Can’t get my name right. Have to chase people down to get answers. Takes days to respond to emails. Everybody passes the puck to someone else. Please do not get a mortgage here unless you want to spend the time chasing. They also have higher rates.

I also worked under the same brand, but the experiences I had with this branch were very disappointing.
Today, the white lady seemed very unpleasant to serve and I totally felt uncomfortable with no greeting and her flat tone like I was the one bothering her. She didn't even help me at all, just asked me to go to the Mall directly for currency exchange. I don't mind going somewhere else for the service if she couldn't help but she didn't have to show her bored face. I wasn't able to speak more than a few words before she turned down my request.

I met THE rudest person of my life at this branch. Yes, rudest of my life, not just banking experience.

I walk in to this lady on teller counter. And request for a transaction. She practically yells at me as if I killed her father, husband, and wait for it, her dog.
And she barks only half the information. I had to patiently ask follow up questions to understand the full transaction.

My genuine request to the branch manager: Please assign this lady to a non customer facing or less customer facing service. (I am 500% sure you will know which lady am I referring to as there are several reviews referring to her)

My request to BMO: Please conduct regular behavioural assessment of all your employees. For God's sake, you are a service industry and rely heavily on the employees interaction with customers.

The female teller that I talked to last Saturday was very impatient and unprofessional. You can tell from her attitudes that she doesn’t care. I asked her about a service that was added to my account and she didn’t even bother looking up and straight said she doesn’t know. Instead asked me to talk to the specialist that added this service. When I emailed the specialist she said such information is available to all BMO staff and it is just not proper to straight up telling customers they don’t know.

I think this is the first review I've done under 3 stars. Not to say I've never had bad service. But usually it's one off, or maybe someone having a bad day, so I won't review, give the place another chance, or focus on the good to hit a 3 star.

But this place.

Without a doubt the worst BMO if not bank branch. At the time of writing this, this branches score is a 2.9. Just check the last years reviews for what seems to be consistent behavior. When they opened, they were great. Since, many of the original staff has moved on and the new staff and managers (the asst manager in particular) are absolutely awful. Sorry, less one teller who is very nice, and I feel terrible she's stuck there.
They do nothing over the bare minimum, and often won't even do that unless you call them out. They will flat out lie to you as if they think you'd never walked in a bank before.
Anyway, rant over.
Rude, incompetent, dishonest, lazy, unsavory.
If you're with BMO, go down the street on Markham main, avoid this place at all costs.

BMO is just a shadow of what it once was. Poor customer service, long waiting times, poor employee behaviours and the list does not end here.
I lost my wallet and informed the bank the very next day.
It has been more than 3 weeks and have not received the replacement card. What is ridiculous is that I cannot use my phone to pay my bills even though my phone locks into my banking account not on my list debit card. My phone has face recognition to validate that it is me trying to do the operations.
Rather than BMO finding the customized response to your problem, BMO is using the deceiving technique where the client will get frustrated, navigating the ignorance flooded web site, until the client gives up.
BMO has forgotten the fundamental meaning of a bank, to help the clients. Without clients there is no bank.
Without our money you just flip promissory post it notes.

Sharing feedback regarding my recent experiences with the tellers at this branch. It appears that there may be a lack of training provided to the tellers, which has resulted in several unpleasant experiences. During my most recent visit, I was frustrated by the fact that the teller insinuated or made it seem like I was there to commit financial fraud without providing any evidence or reason for their suspicion. This was particularly concerning given that I am both a personal and business banking customer for two different businesses since years.

Furthermore, the teller pulled up a cleared cheque that was more than 10 days old (Cleared by BMO including a 7 days hold) and flagged it, despite its irrelevance to my current transaction. This individual's insecurity over their role in the transaction had the potential to inconvenience genuine business customers, which is not acceptable.

It is my recommendation that the tellers be trained to review the customer's history with the bank before making any insinuations or accusations of potential financial fraud.

While I have not dealt with every employee in this branch, I have had positive experiences with one or two of them who are very knowledgeable, respectful, and helpful.

To be fair, I am willing to update this review based on future experience at the same branch. If they improve the customer experience!

Worst bmo in canada. Wasted months of my time. Didn’t help me at all and just kept lying to me and misleading me into wasting money. I don’t need recommend people finding their job here. Would give 0/5 star if possible.
