Super bad attitude from Sapphire. I’m here today to ask for reimbursement for extra charges that BMO put on my account. He looks at me straight in my eyes with his teeth bite hard, looking so attacking and makes me feel uncomfortable.

I visited the bank due to an urgent matter that needed attention, and the primary role of a bank's customer service representative is to promptly address the customer's immediate requirements – this is the very reason they were employed. I had an email from BMO requesting an update of my personal information because I had recently relocated from another province. However, initially, the customer service representative declined my request, despite my repeated explanations that I lacked a printer. It took several minutes of persistence before he finally agreed to print the document.

Firstly, considering Toronto's status as Canada's financial hub, it's surprising that BMO would hesitate to provide a simple printing service for such a minor task. Secondly, having conducted business at various BMO branches in Vancouver and Victoria, I've never encountered treatment like this before. Lastly, with the recent central bank directive to reduce daily banking costs for customers, it makes little sense for a front-line customer service representative to decline to print an email from BMO.

I have always held the belief that the banking industry should be inclusive, but this experience has prompted me to question the fairness of BMO's training content. Could the customer service representative have potentially harbored biases or discriminated based on my skin color or race? It's unfortunate that the individual in question was not wearing a name tag, as I would have considered exposing it.

Should such a situation occur again, I won't hesitate to file a formal complaint with BMO headquarters. I expect BMO to place a higher emphasis on addressing potential bias issues in the hiring process of customer service representatives and enhancing training on inclusion during onboarding. I've been a loyal BMO customer since arriving in Canada in 2017, and I hope not to be disappointed again.

We believe that this person is a inspiration to anyone who meets her. She truly is an admiration, always wanting to help and see means to find a solution to any problems that the client ls are facing.

Jasintha is a irreplaceable asset to BMO. And we most definitely believe that she will become an even greater manager in the future.

Worst banking service, people are backstabbing over teams chat we saw it ;still they are justifying that we being customers we are useless people. Worst branch in Toronto

This is the second branch I tried visiting around 5: 20pm on a weekday and the doors were locked. Why advertise a bank as being open when it’s clearly different at the stand alone location?

If you try to use this bank after 5pm they will turn you away. “We don’t really do teller services after 5pm”. What is the point of claiming you are open when you will be turned away and can only use the atms for the last hour? I suggest fixing the hours stated online and on the door, since there is no reason to keep the doors open after 5 pm if in-person services will be refused. Very confusing.

Gone downhill. Was a longtime customer, but just had the worst bank experience ever. Rudest clerks and misinformation provided by information line. Just closed all my accounts with BMO.

I didn't realise how good this branch was when I used to bank here. I thought all BMO branches are nice and reliable. Well, that's not the case. I had a lot of difficulties reaching my home branch, ran out of ideas and contacted this branch as my last straw, the branch manager went out of his way to help. Thank you so much for saving my day

Branch quality has gone down. They impose some restrictions on accounts without informing customers and you will feel bad infront of public if you keep money with these people as unknown restrictions will deny accesss to your money and you will not be able to make payments due to this reason. Not a trusted place now.

Terrible experience. Rude staff. Did not help me in the slightest and treated me like I wasn’t worth their time. Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed.

I’m a full-time student and have been dealing with a lot since COVID put mental, physical, and financials strains on me. They swapped my account to a paying one apparently sending an email I never received. After waiting an hour for help, they said they were ‘generous’ to reverse me 3 months of charges they shouldn’t have taken in the first place. As well, their email for a promotion won’t work and they of course, can’t tell me why, so the solution is for me to waste an hour of my life scheduling in an appointment in my busy week— which I am doing at another branch of course.

The manager sees no value in students and long standing costumers — 10 years with them just to say paying me back the couple months of leftover money they stole from me was ‘unreasonable’ but they could ‘upgrade’ me back to my student plan — even though I never stopped paying tuition/being a student. I genuinely don’t think that he understood why they even have a student promotion in the first place… guess being financially unstable is too below him. They make more money off of my savings than their monthly account charges, yet acted like giving a free student account (where literally every bank offers this for obvious reasons) was an overly generous act on their part. Must be nice having graduated when tuition fees were super low and not being able to understand/relate to others financial situations.

If you want service that is poor, slow, and will most likely result in more work/paperwork/hours of your life waisted, that is the only time I would recommend going here.

Also they currently have horrible student deals/offers (if any?) and knowing they’d go downhill so much I would have not gone with BMO at all. They literally make me want to change banks:) if you’re a student or even someone loyal, please do not join this bank—they WILL screw you over and if you ever get anything back, it’ll be a low percentage and if I’ll take HOURS of your life.
