This is a very busy branch located at a central location, lots of personal and business clients, despite it being busy all the time the tellers are constantly trying their very best to help the clients, the branch is clean and comfortable as well- highly rate it

This is the worst Bmo I have been to. I went to make a withdrawal of about 4K. Then the teller told me they could only do 2k. I asked to see the manager as the teller lady (looked Arab) said only her (the manager) could override that decision. The manager came out and alas they were asking me about a cheque that already cleared in my account, not the money I came to withdraw anymore. They wanted to know why I was spending my money. It was all shocking that this racist prejudice still exists in Hamilton Ontario Canada. The manager (lady) is the worst racist person I’ve ever seen. I went to the queenston branch and took out the 4K I needed without any questions. Shame on these people. The teller looks Arab and the branch manager is Caucasian. They obviously looked at the money in the cheque and thought this black guy can’t have this. Shame on you racists

The customer service I received from this branch while I was a victim of fraud was extremely disappointing.
At the end of June there were fraudulent checks coming out of my account (I have never ordered checks). I was advised by telephone support to come to the branch and request an investigation be initiated. That day, teller Michelle treated me very poorly, questioning how checks are being cashed if I’ve never ordered them (obviously the reason for my visit) with a few eye rolls, it being 10 minutes before closing.
She had me sign a copy of the transaction and assured me an investigation was initiated.
Fast forward 3 months I had not heard back about any updates for the investigation. I went into the branch, spoke with Michelle again, and she said she sees the investigation was started and would personally call me with an update the next day. Never received a call.
Now we’re at 5 months and after being advised by a friend that investigations usually take 45 days, I requested to speak with a manager. I was informed on my visit that there is supposed to be a questionnaire and subsequent paperwork completed to initiate an investigation. Ninwa was very patient and understanding however informed me that an investigation had never been initiated. She put in my case today, and I will have to continue waiting for my refunds.
Therefore, Michelle truly treated my case as unimportant and never completed the correct procedure to file my case - even after I visited to get an update. She had me sign a piece of paper that went into the garbage.
Being a victim of fraud is difficult enough, but to not be taken seriously and pushed aside just increases the stress of the situation.
I highly encourage that prospective bankers are mindful of choosing a bank with better security features, customer service and standardized protocols.

There is a greeter at this BMO branch Ivone that approaches customers without introducing herself and expects them to state their personal financial business in front of a line of strangers.
I understand she is trying to divert clients to the ATM but after questioning everyone, no one used the ATM.
There were only adults in line and I think they knew their own needs and if they needed a teller or a machine.
Better use of banks money would be putting her on cash as teller than not respecting clients financial personal privacy.
I spoke to her after stating that I had never been questioned about my personal banking and it was an invasion of peoples privacy suggesting there might be a more tactful way of asking people their personal business but she just interrupted and spoke over me.
She told me it was no different than clients oversharing in line.
She showed no respect for the the banks clients at all.
I called to speak to manager, who I found out was not in that day and spoke to someone who after I had to ask 3 TIMES claimed to be Sofie.
Head office had no record of Sofie working at the branch…which I found interesting.
