This branch has the worst customer service ever compare to any other branch including managers and all the teller. I wasn’t expecting the best service but at least treat as should be treat to anyone but definitely this is the worst place. I go there because I live across the street otherwise I wouldn’t go there.

I was surprised to read the review of the branch. There were pretty bad review. I only use the machine seems a convenient location. Hope they improve, I would not do any in person transaction after reading the reviews

I would give 0 stars to this branch if it was possible. Their staff is the more incompetent than i have seen anywhere in the world. They don’t respond to phone calls, dont return messages, are very very rude, and dont care about keeping appointments with you. If you walk in the wait times are very long and they usually cant solve the problem. As another reviewer has noted, bmo’s whole system is a problem. Over the phone, the customer service is plain stupid and provide contradictory information. One customer service rep didn’t even know if they had a tech department! No one calls back. They have NO IDEA what they are doing.even a monkey can do a better job than the people working at bmo. This branch, and bmo’s phone customer service reps are a joke.

I was told that I have a meeting with Sritharan and I called for a follow up and she just yelled in my ear that I wouldnt open an account without explaining but instead she yelled knowing I am deaf and wear hearing aid. Slack of respect and support. This branch need to do better.

We have been trying to re-finance our mortgage sine June 2020. After many many months of emailing and calling our Rep, Kwong Kit Lam, we have no idea what is happening with our application. We contacted another Rep who said they will follow up. That was over a month ago and we have heard from neither account reps.
I am not sure if our application still exists. Meanwhile, BMO is still taking money from our account every month, so our mortgage does exist.

Good Afternoon BMO;

My name is Deepalkumar Harshad Patel (Deep). I am banking with BMO since 2017. BMO is my major bank account and I do all my major day-to-day transactions with BMO. Yesterday (12th April, 2021) morning i checked my account and noticed that my account was blocked and asked me to contact customer service. I called customer service and they told me that I need to go to the branch with 2 pieces of ID to get it unblocked. I went in the Branch with 2 Pieces of ID and Confirmed my identification.
I went to the following branch address. "2330 Kennedy Road, Unit E, Scarborough. " Transit Number - 29242. I spoke to a Branch Representation Henry.
Henry emailed the Fraud department twice and also talked to his manager. While being in the branch I called customer service twice. I was in the branch for more than an 1 Hour but i didn't receive a proper answer for why my account is blocked. Henry and the customer agent told me that i will get a call in the next 2 hours yesterday, but received NONE. Until 28 Hours.

The next day after 28 Hours I got a call from Edmonton Oliver Square Branch 11331 104 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T5K 2S1 (my home branch). The Branch manager (Ryan Cui) called me and told me that he will start the investigation today as he was off yesterday.
Till the next 2 days I did not received any answer from Edmonton branch manager. I continuously kept calling the branch number and spoke to the teller’s they kept on telling me that Ryan was busy and he will call me back soon. But I never received the call neither the manager for BMO picked up my call. I repeatedly called the bank more than 16 times. At last on 16th April, 2021. He emails and tells me the situation of my account and it is Rectified.

So moral of the story, BMO does not care for their customer’s and does not have enough resources to hire an educated and respectful person to run their branch.
Please do not use BMO Oliver square as your branch. It has proved to be not trust worthy for the service fees your pay to them.

I was told that an account number must be provided in order to get a debit card replacement since I don’t have the card with me. I asked them if I can provide any other identity documents (such as phone numbers, driver’s license, credit cards, etc) so that they can pull up my account, they said: “No, you have to give me your account number”, without a try. Then I left and went to another branch, got my card replaced. Feb. 17.2021

A waste of time. As POA for a senior, I went into this branch to set up authorization for an account. I had full notarized documentation but they had no one available to serve me - out to lunch - in more ways than one. They also wanted me to bring the nursing home client to the branch - in the midst of a covid-19 shutdown! I will move the account to another bank.

Follow-up 2 weeks later.
I appreciate the gesture of the BMO ratings support team but it appears to be an empty PR ploy. I sent the information requested to the email provided but 10 days later I have not received any response. One star again!

I was there on Friday march 6th after 1pm.
I dont know the teller's name. She is a young brown skin girl.
She is so unpleasant to talk to.
This is some of the characteristics that she lacks:
mannerism, no customer service,
absolutely no professionalism,
Proper dress code, a business attire would have appropriate.
Her eye lash extension was so gross, they were falling off. She could not even use the bill counting machine properly.

I had to visit this branch to finalize my LOC application which I have applied over the phone. I got a horrible rate 15.5% (NO JOKE) and over the phone advisors couldn’t assist to lower down any. Karuna at the branch patiently collected all my proof of validation docs, also promised me to submit my case for rate review. I also got a call back from her couple days later that she managed to get it lower by 2% which is still bad according to me. I still give it 5 stars, only because of the advisor dedication at her work and not many people today care about following up and I always thought it’s non existent in banking industry.

I had to go over to the branch today to solve a problem I encountered in my account. Hanvi Li, I think he is the Manager there, was very helpful and took his time to look into my concerns. Very good customer service! Keep it up.

Be prepared for long wait in line. Waited 40 mins in line since 10am before reaching the counter, and that was after two people left the line because they couldn’t wait any longer. Understaffed and very slow service. The branch manager came to replace one bank teller and then the line moved a little faster. I understand seniors require extra time and attention, but staffing during peak hours should be optimized better.

I rarely gave one star to anybody. For this branch, I think one star is too many. I came here on two different occasions and only 1-2 staff serving 100 customers. Staff don’t care about the ridiculously long line and keep chatting around, not to mention that they are extremely unprofessional and rude. Avoid this branch at all cost!

Yesterday there was a huge lineup and only one counter was open. I saw an Indian woman behind another counter doing nothing while i was there. Why didn't she take any customers? It's so weird!
