BMO's first "value" they claim to follow is "Integirty, Do what's right".

I have just witnessed BMO steal $20,000 from a disabled veteran. First by denying service to the individual, for no reason (as agreed by the "client complaints appeals office" aka BMO Legal).

Then they took so long to provide information that it had past the point where the individual could have recovered the funds.

@Darryl White - You should really consider an ethics investigation into CCAO and Andrew Scretas.

Suzie is such a kind soul.

She’s very compassionate and cares about her customers. We need more people like her in this world!

We went in to BMO (on Strandherd) without an appointment to open an account. We just had an appointment cancelled with 30 minutes notice from our bank of 30 years. Everyone in the branch was very pleasant and helpful - the teller who went out of his way to arrange an appointment 2 hours latter, the agent who worked with us to open the accounts, to the teller who received our deposits the next day and provided some helpful suggestions. I sense the start of a good working climate

I tried to receive payment with Western Union at Walmart, but it got declined. Went to this branch, and they told me that everything was fine on my account and i should be able to receive it. Called the phone banking instead, and they increased the limit for those kind of transactions. Long story short, I wasn't satisfied with my experience in this branch.

This is considered to be my main BMO branch which I feel not happy with their services.
The first issue you face in this branch is their gloomy faces with customer.
I went there to withdraw some US $ from my account, the teller called in her boss to explain to me in a sullen face that I have to inform them 3 days ahead of time for any amount above 5k!
I would have no problem with that if explained in a polite and friendly way, rather than treating me as a criminal trying to steel their money!
I had to seek other way to solve the issue, they would not offer alternatives (like going to other branches and collect the money)!
Definitely I would withdraw my US $ account from this branch in exchange to TD bank!

One. This bank never has anyone answer the phone and secondly, never return messages. Two, I came in and took out 1415.00 in cash. The teller ran in through the counter. She handed me the stack of cash in an elastic band. When I got to another bank to pay a bill, they said I was short 115.00. I go back to the branch and of course the teller denies she shorted me until she looks around and finds it in the cash counter.

I will never trust this branch of EVER AGAIN with any banking and I will be closing my account.

I've been dealing with 3 different banks in my life and I've never had any better experience ever. My mortgage specialist is Nam and is simply the best. She answered all my inquiries no matter which or the time of the day. Weekends, evening, holiday you name it. Fantastic jobs and support. Just flawless do go there with no hesitation.

Great Customer Service!

I needed to do a bank transfer this week. The bank I use regularly would take 3-5 days and the payee was not setup. I was able to open an account and complete the transfer quickly. All who I dealt with were extremely helpful and concerned about the legitimacy of the company I was transferring the money to. In future I can do this on-line.

Every aspect of dealing with this branch was positive and demonstrated that they strived hard and succeeded to provide great customer service!

This branch of BMO is absolutely horrible & the staff are not professional at all. There were a series of issues within a few short months, but the mistakes & errors by staff started from day1.
The manager Raul Gonzalez discriminates & chooses which clients' emails he will reply to and it's vague whether it's people of colour or people that are part of the LGBTQ community that he discriminates against, or both. He not only chooses which emails he responds to but he also chooses who he will provide 15 minutes of his time for.
Bevin Tan committed fraud by making promises, providing assurance & making claims that were lies. It felt as though he said whatever he wanted just so that he could finish his work day & didn't seem to care about the client's needs at all. He also inputted incorrect information into his computer system so getting accounts activated were postponed due to these errors. He was also not available to fix the errors he made & when his work ethic & the errors he made were questioned, the manager Mr Gonzales wrote back that errors can be frustrating but if you're unhappy with the quality of work then he can have the accounts closed. Zero apology.

Allison Rawlings, the assistant manager also committed fraud but her lies had malintent. Ms. Rawlings chose to lie & claimed that she needed to get off the phone in order to fix the error that staff had made but in the end sent an email saying she wasn't going to fix the error and hence her lie had malintent (fraud with malice). Once the error was escalated it was fixed immediately but Ms Rawlings could have easily fixed the error but she chose not to because wanted to ensure that the client faced further hardship rather than fixing a mistake that caused money to go missing out of the account due to the fact that telephone banking agent ignored 2 requests during the call to lock the debit card for security reasons. The telephone agent was to busy condescendingly spelling out her name extremely slowly & intentionally mimicking someone with cerebral palsy & as a result unauthorized transaction went through on the unlocked account which Ms. Rawlings refused to fix. It was proven to be a bank error.

The staff are not trained properly. The teller in the branch announced personal bank details (bank balance) aloud so that other customers at other wickets heard as well as those in line waiting for their turn.

When applying for a credit card online, the application would not accept the correct work address because again Mr Bevin Tan inputted the wrong information so the application wouldn't progress to the next page. This was aside from the initial error of inputting telephone numbers on the first day the account was opened so debit cards couldn't be activated. A phone appointment was scheduled a few days later to fill the credit card application through a staff at the branch & though the staff had 4 days to prepare, he was literally learning about the card by reading the brochure at the same time as filling out the application. Something that would have taken 10 min took an hour and even then the application needed to be completed by a telephone agent.

When the card arrived at a BMO branch, the staff opened the sealed envelope to look up the client profile but neglected to inform that this card needed to be activated by a teller & so there was a card that hadn't been activated for weeks after it arrived because the branches all has reduced hours with covid19. No branches were open on Saturday & time off work was already necessary in order to go pick up the card.

I am sure the bank as a financial institution is fine but this branch & it's staff require product knowledge training, they need to pay closer attention to the quality of work & management require sensitivity and customer service training, particularly when it comes to discrimination.

Going to this bank is always a chore. Horrible hours of operation, long waits, rude staff and overall a very unpleasant experience. Why would you close the bank at 4: 00? When most people finish work at 5: 00? Youre supposed to be serving working people. The only reason I stay with this bank is the hassle it would take to change all my direct deposits and withdrawals

Great service here setting up my business account. The manager always takes my calls right away when I have questions. If I go in to use the machine when it’s slow, the staff will greet customers as they walk in. It’s nice to have friendly staff at a bank.
