Great little store. Good selection, good prices. Found several quality items to purchase. Recommended.

The man who works at this location is rude, condescending and disrespectful. I was just wondering if the criteria for hiring are non-existing at this location. We saw him being rude to customers on several occasions, as if he owns the place and feels free to talk to you as he pleases. Isn’t it just common sense being nice to your customers when they’re being extremely nice to you? Would not be returning to this location.

Said it’s buying your used books. Even good popular books with great conditions they only gave you $4 - $6 lmao. They are very cheap to be honest.

Called this place on a Saturday and the person behind the phone as rude, I just wanted to sell my books and I had no idea what they were but I knew they costed something, and the person told me to just bring them to a value village. Horrible service man

My favourite bookstore! They have a large collection. Love selling my old books for cash and buying more. There’s many secondhand books that are for sale for lower prices, usually $10. The more popular secondhand books are more though and the prices vary, usually $20+.

Books are a better price than chapters, but unfortunately the kids section is upstairs and hard to get a stroller up.

I called this location to make sure they buy books and the man I talked to, told me yes we even have sign at window, I took big box of 35 pieces of book, all in good condition, when I got there, there was lady at cash, she just picked 7 pieces and give me $11 for all 7 pieces and reject buying the rest, those 7 pieces worth way more than $11, and if they buy books why she refused to buy the rest, I was not happy with store service at all, not recommended.

I can't pass by without stopping in. They always have great value books laid out in the middle sections of the ground floor.

Great customer service. The employees are always kind and highly knowledgeable of their selection. I'm a recurring customer.

Always waiting 10m at the cash register for one of the associates to notice me so I can pay. Seems staff doesn't care, and place is always messy. Decent selection of books though and good prices.

Guys buying books, that’s very useful for someone who need to clean up libraries or old storages

Love how they curate and display the books and that it is reuse culture. This shop is the opposite of book burning, this store and it's knowledgable staff saves civilization every day. I am a regular patron because I discover new books all the time from new to the historic authors and it's as peaceful as a library. It's pleasantly over stuffed with contents to make it at home on Diagon Alley. Thank you to the owners for making it so good. It would be my dream to work there and be paid in books! ️

The books are really cheap and in good condition but the guy that works there has no directory to navigate the books faster, you just have to browse and look. My overall experience was nice.

A nice discovery and a peaceful nook with lots of good collection of Vinyls, books. If you are a book worm, there is lots to explore once you step in.

What can I say about BMV at Eglinton? A great selection of books, many of which were purchased as remainders and are in new to mint condition for newer releases for a fraction of the cost at retail giant Indigo.

I have a a ton in common with one member of the staff- we are both fine art and music buffs - and always makes for stimulating conversation. I have been frequenting so often and he knows exactly what I am seeking to purchase. My home library is extensive so many times, the classical music stock will be books I already own, but every now and then, I pick up a classic, or rare first edition. I know that if I tell him I will come in on a certain day to see new arrivals, he would not hesitate to put aside books he knows I will buy.

It is these old customer practices that need to make a comeback. It makes customers feel appreciated and encourages loyalty. I am proud to be a regular customer.

Fantastic spot to shop for any genre, and also carries CD's and Vinyl.

This place is truly incredible! Great collection of fiction& non-fiction, incredible prices. I drive 40-50 mins to visit at least once a month. Would like to see a bit more variety in history and military, but an overall a gem of a bookstore! I just wish they open a location in Newmarket area. I'd rather support them than spend twice the money on an average book in Chapters/Indigo.

Great variety of books, you can find all the classics. Really good prices. My family and I love it.

I could spend hours looking through all the well preserved books, dvds and Blu rays here. There is something for everyone and it's hard not to walk out with a huge stack of books every time I visit!

Great selection of new and used videos, music and books. I wish they would stock more rare vintage hardcover books, but the isn't there market. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Don't get me wrong for the 3 stars review. I LOVE BMV. However, I just like the other locations much more. I have been to the other locations many times and this is my first time going to this location. The staff here seems to be a bit overwhelmed. That sacrifice a bit of their customer services. The other downside is if you are going in this store in the summer, it is quite humid inside.

Best used book store ever. Lots of new titles, think of this store at the Top40 radio station of book stores. DVDs also. Well organized and the staff know the inventory well. Books are all in good or excellent condition. Board Games is a new addition.

Had the worst experience ever. A male employee (or manager, not sure) was incredibly rude and made me feel uncomfortable looking at anything. He also pushed me with a stack of books he was carrying. The store itself was decent but will never go back because of the one employee.

Met a guy named Matt who was super rude and provided terrible customer service when I was trying to trade in some books. He scoffed at my books and turned away rather than politely decline or offer a suggestion on which books they are looking for. This seems to be a common theme among other complaints on this review page.

I went to go sell my books and the service was awful. I got a terrible price for my books and the man there was quite rude and had absolutely no manners. Definitely would not recommend this place. I’m going somewhere else next time.

I love BVM. This location is smaller than the Bloor Street one, but awesome selection of vinyl and comics. Sold a bunch of books and CDs here over the weekend. Great staff. Wish there was better parking though!

Had an awful experience at this BMV with someone name Matt. I'm not entirely sure if he was the manager or an employee but he looked like he hated his job and everyone who walks through the door. I brought in some books to see if the store would be willing to take them and without even looking at the titles Matt rudely rolled his eyes and pushed the box away saying, "We don't take those". He then turned and walked away without another word. What kind of customer service is that?
The least he could have done was explain the store's policy politely. If you enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of a bookstore, this is not the place to go be. You'll leave feeling like you did something wrong.

The staff were jovial and helpful, and not only did I find a French-English dictionary, they also had a Bescherelle! $12 bucks all in!

Was basically given two seconds of the employee's time (he may have been the manager). Told me that even though my hardcover books were in excellent condition, he was only interested in paperback. He then turned away back to his conversation with his friend. It was extremely embarrassing. First and last time going to this location.
