Not only the food was amazing (my sister and I just had the coconut shrimp), we just met the best waitress, in terms of being present, patient and on top of every detail! Great service, thank you for the experience!
Nice spot for veg eats. Resonable price and high quality food. I had the Pad Thai and was really impressed by the flavour, just as good as a specialised Thai place. Friend had the burger which was really good also.
My new favourite restaurant, Great menu for vegans, so much choice. The crispy sushi with salmon was so good. Just loved this place, will be back with friends, Thanks for great service and enjoyable evening.
The food was absolutely fantastic the first time we’ve been here. Looks like something changed significantly since the last time we visited - Walmart-bought Lipton green tea, cheap sauces. Everything tastes bland. Seems like food had no salt/spices added whatsoever. Had a lot of leftover food that we didn’t even want to take home.
Dirty walls.
Also “plant based” is misleading- it has non-vegan options, and a lot of the sauces are non-vegan.
Great tasting food at decent prices. Food is also well presented. Still as good and tasty today. Today eat was Teppanyaki beef-flavor meat (not clearly mentioned that it was beef in the English description) was good quality and taste. The service was excellent. They don't accept cash because they wish to go touchless in this Covid environment.
Almost Everything is fried, not many healthy vegan options. I had the pho and it was bland, with the beyond meat patty, which they said it was their own home made patty, that tasted disgusting This place is definitely for non healthy eaters, that love everything fried in vegetable oil, or canola oil. The staff was friendly though
Note that this review is based off of ordering on uber eats and it is more based on taste rather than atmosphere since we ordered.
My boyfriend and I are vegan. I ordered some spicy chicken (forgot full name), pho, and fries. The fries lowkey are missing spice; they give you ketchup but I liked the texture. The spicy chicken was indeed spicy, but tasted mid and was quite oily. The pho. Don't order the pho. I can easily make better vegan pho at home. Very lackluster - it was basically 1 sad stock of mint, rice noodles, and tofu-beef.
So I would say the food overall tastes mid of all of the vegan restaurants I have eaten. Not too impressive. However, it does make you very sleepy and the portions does fill you up a lot!
Would recommend and will be back! Great vegetarian and vegan restaurant in Markham with several variety to choose from and lots of fried dishes.
I really enjoyed their buffalo mushroom wings, the sauce comes on the side. Usually I’ll see buffalo cauliflower wings but this was quite a pleasant surprise.
The imitation salmon in the Buddha bowl was also very surprising!
Cauliflower steak and Thai salad was an interesting combination. Liked that it was on a bed of cuscus. Questioning the olives in Thai salad but enjoyed the dressing nonetheless.
Amazing food and service. The portions were fantastic and the vegan options were vast. The coconut shrimp was my favourite and my husband’s bbq porkless sub was massive. The service staff were on the ball, we never went thirsty, even the bathroom was huge! (Note it was shared with cleaning supplies but it doesn’t affect the overall experience and quality) We will definitely be back. 5 stars; no doubts.
Ordered a take-out for our company lunch. The dishes were all delicious. The ordering was simple and the pick-up was on time. A loud shout-out to the service though. When I was packing all the food into a box, clumsy me spilled a smoothie. Kaitlyn replaced the drink right away without charge. Wonderful experience, our company had a blast with the great food too!
It's my 2nd time to have lunch there. I ordered a lunch special. Which comes with a coffee and a salad. But it didn't come until I finished the lunch. And I asked the waitresses. She doesn't feel anything wrong and never apologized. Just said if you want it she can packed it up for me to takeaway. What kind of service?
Since the owner replied this post and said "sorry ". I change back to five stars for them. Because the food is good.
Fake meat galore! As a vegetarian who likes asian food, I loved this place and a lot of their dishes! My favourite would be the omurice, but the others were also very enjoyable and deserve a try. Came here two times during my visit.
Tldr: VEGANS BEWARE! I’ve requested everything I order to be vegan, but still was asked if I want normal cheese, was served salad with non-vegan dressing, and a cake with dairy whipped cream. Sick for more than a week afterwards.
Went here for lunch last week. I explicitly asked if everything I order is vegan, but still: 1. Server asked me if I want normal cheese. No, that’s not vegan. 2. Salad came with non-vegan dressing. I didn’t even complain and just ate the greens without dressing (it was on the side). 3. I ordered a cake because it’s under the “vegan cakes” section and the individual entry also explicitly says “100% free from animal products, dairy, egg etc. ” It came with whipped cream, and I ate it without thinking twice. When paying the bill, I got paranoid and asked the server if the whipped cream is vegan. IT’S NOT VEGAN.
I didn’t blame the sever at all and gave good tips, but this restaurant is very careless about vegan foods even though it labels more than half of its dishes as “vegan” and claim to be a plant-based restaurant. I had serious stomach pain and digestive issues for more than a week afterwards.
UPDATE: I came back here for the chickenless katsu curry omurice. Oh my god. I am not kidding when I say this is one of the BEST THINGS I’VE EVER EATEN! No further words really. You absolutely need to try this masterpiece. I’m blown away!
I got takeout here and the girl who cashed me out was very kind. They seem to have great customer service here. The Pad Thai here is one of the best I’ve ever had. I got the vegan option and it’s hard to tell that it’s vegan. Very filling and the portion sizes are great.
Very excited to see this vegan forward restaurant and the service was incredible. We tried their most popular Katsu Curry, Coconut Shrimp, and vegan sushi. All of which was good but the katsu Curry was underwhelming and the apps were on the oiler side. The portions for the katsu Curry are huge, two are able to share one dish. The side salad from the katsu Curry was super delicious. Would still recommend to go there!
My favourite vegetarian place hands down, their burgers are amazing! All dishes are generously portioned and reasonably priced. They have both western and Asian style dishes as well as desserts, lots to choose from. The place is a bit small to be able to sit further away from other customers but they do temperature checks/proof of vaccine checks/contact info requests at the door. Will definitely visit again!
Great service. The food was delicious, with the exception of the tahini. Substituting the dressing was no issue and that is one of those simple ways to keep people coming back. I will return.
I had their beyond sausage spaghetti, spicy bbq porkless sandwich and mango milk crepe & matcha tea and LOVED everything.even got a free piece of chocolate cake through their skip the dishes discount.i dont usually leave reviews.everything was good!
I’ve been there 3 times within 2 months. The food tasted great. I’m a vegetarian but don’t take any onions and garlics. I really appreciate they can compromise my diets with some meals. Then I can enjoy food with my family and friends. Definitely will go visit again!
This place was pretty good, was very disappointed though when the name implies it is plant-based and some of the dishes contain egg and possibly dairy, I would caution any other vegans to clarify before ordering if the dishes are vegan or only vegetarian, they did however remake the Katsu without the egg promptly and it was quite good, the fish and chips was however the highlight for me.
I personally feel like this restaurant is one of the worse vegetarian restaurants I have had, it wasn’t bad when I was eating, it actually tasted okay, but afterwards, my stomach was so upset, even though I didn’t have anything else at that time, which is the reason for the one star.
After my girlfriend's recommendation, we came to try it out ourselves. The restaurant serves vegetarian food. All the dishes we ordered we liked them.so much. They are very tasty and We couldn't tell they were vegetarian dishes. We would come back again and try out other dishes.
So glad I found this place. I've done takeout twice from here, and both times the flavours were outstanding. The staff who took my order was also very nice and friendly. Would definitely go back to try other items from the menu.
Amazing restaurant for vegetarians. One stop for various category of food - Western, Italian, Mexican, Thai and Japanese - wide choice and delicious. Courteous and friendly service. Very much impressed on our first visit and sure to visit often with friends.
I was unfortunately disappointed by my experience. I first ordered takeout and was disappointed to learn my preferred item, advertised on all menus, was discontinued. The lasagna was recommended to me instead, but it was salty and an uninspired run-of-the-mill eggplant lasagna. Undeterred, I returned to dine-in. I ordered the avocado salmon fried rice, advertised as a special on the wall. The server was unaware of it. They were sold out of vegan salmon. Avocado was not detected in the dish. The free soup tasted as if it may have turned. That said, their imitation coconut shrimp is great. I suspect there are gems worth trying here, if they could get their act together.
I ordered the "selected veggie burrito". It was about 80% plain white rice, with a few mushrooms, olives, and a touch of cheese. No beans, no peppers, no tomatoes, no sauce. I don't know who in their right mind would serve this to someone and call it a burrito. Maybe the cook called in sick that day, maybe they ran out of ingredients and didn't tell us, I really don't know. I'm genuinely confused. I'm sad because I really wanted to like this place.
Came here a few weeks ago and food was AMAZING! Server was attentive and patient as we had many questions. Wish it wasn’t so far but definitely worth the trip
Service was AMAZING but the food was just ok. Buffalo Cauliflower is not deep friend cauliflower but cauliflower in a ton of batter that comes out like an oil sponge with cauliflower in the middle. Kinoko spaghetti was nice. Japanese fusion crispy tofu was fine. Avocado imitation salmon fried rice was the tastiest dish from all we ordered, but it was not imitation salmon as it was pieces of the long vegan deli roll (or at least that is what it looked and tasted like).
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of trying Bo Tree for the first time. I have been meaning to for a while, but never got around to trying it out. I saw them on UberEats last night and figured, "Why not? ".
I ordered the Vegan Pepperoni Pizza, Sun Dried Tomato Spaghetti, and Buffalo Mushroom wings. They also added complimentary miso soup.
The pizza was delicious and well sized. They didn't overdo it on the vegan cheese, which find tends to happen with vegan pizzas. The dough was soft and the crust was nice and chewy, which is my favourite part.
Their Sun Dried Tomato Spaghetti was hands down my favourite. The pasta was cooked perfectly and it was seasoned well. It wasn't greasy whatsoever and I had leftovers for the next day, which was still as good as it was when it had arrived.
The Buffalo Mushroom Wings had really good flavour and the buffalo sauce was decent. The only downside of it is that because it was delivered, it don't think it gave it the justice it deserved.
The miso soup was also tasty, but a little heavy handed on the miso as it was a tad salty for my liking.
Overall, it was a great experience for me and I was extremely satisfied with everything. I'm happy that I have more vegan / vegetarian options now in Markham. I will be coming back to try many more things off their menu soon enough.
(They also responded very kindly to the rating I gave them on UberEats, so thank you for that.)
Very delicious and nice service. We had the Green Earth Pizza, J-Style Veggie Spaghetti and Mango Crepe Cake. The dining area is comfortable and spacious. We will come back to try something else next time.
I dined in last week on a Thursday evening and it was such a great experience. I had the Forest pizza and my husband had the Kinoko spaghetti. The spaghetti was so creamy and delicious. It's definitely a dish I would try again. I saw they're offering 10% takeout so next time I'll be sure to do that.
I purchased Groupon Voucher and use it for takeout. I ordered Coconut Imitation Shrimp, Kinoko Spaghetti and Chickenless Katsu Curry Omurice. The texture of imitation shrimp like real shrimp, taste is also good, , mango dip is perfectly matched with the shrimp. As for the pasta, it is chewy and those japanese mushrooms are so unique, mixing up with miso cream sauce is extremely delicious. Last but not least, Chickenless Katsu Curry Omurice gives me another surprise. The Chicken Seitan is crispy and chewy. Curry isn't too spicy, the omelette is perfectly cooked, it is runny and soft. Overall, this is my one of the best dining experience, definitely I will order something else very soon!
