Bodega Henriette is now one of my favourite brunch spots in the city! The food was uncomplicated and deliciously prepared. We had the baby arugula tomato eggs benedict and the smoked salmon scramble. Perfectly poached eggs sat on a tender, buttery home made croissant all lusciously draped by a classic hollandaise. I was hesitant that the dish would read heavy, however the accompanying arugula salad was dressed with a highly acidic dressing that provided peppery, tart relief. The hero of the dish were the potatoes - the crispy skin curling around a the creamy texture of the potato. The smoked salmon dish was less desirable. The texture of the eggs and salmon were too similar and the crispy capers did not provide enough of a relief. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and so welcoming! I would love to try their dinner pop ups and store front bakery in the future!

Had a delicious Sunday brunch here. The food and service were spot on. Just one comment on the salmon benedict - the salmon was quite dry!

First time at Bodega. We went for brunch and sat on the cute patio. The food was yummy and the staff are great!

This was our first visit to Bodega Henriette, but it won't be our last. It was an immediately welcoming place, with a wonderful ambience on its tiny-but-charming covered patio.

I am torn between how to review this place because I get two very different experiences based on who we talk to or deal with when we visit. I think the place is run by two people. One is very friendly, very nice, always smiling and the other is the exact opposite.

There is not really something specific but just a bunch of small things in the way that person makes you feel unwanted there. Like they don't want your business specially when it comes to reservation. The last encounter was when we called to make a reservation and the answer was very stern as if we insulted them.

We said can we please make a reservation at 10 am today (sunday) and the reply was no, we don't take same day reservation on weekends. Said in the most unsympathetic and unapologetic way ever, it might as well be said by a Robot. She didn't even say sorry for that, unfortunately, or anything like that and she crushed through the words like she can't wait to get rid of us on the phone.

This might not bother some and we personally have visited the place on many occasions over the last few years. And we always deal with the same rudeness from the same person there. The food is great though, the atmosphere is nice, the patio is nice, just not all the people hosting you.

The first thing that catches your eye is how pretty this place is. Right from the charming red door to the plans inside and the wall paintings, this is a quaint place to catch up with your friends over brunch.

They have an outdoor patio but we couldn't experience it during the winter. We visited in February. Reading the reviews online we made reservation that promptly got us a seat. They have a few good options in terms of the food and options for vegetarians. A bunch of us in our party ended up ordering the smoked salmon scramble, which was decent. I personally would have preferred getting something else since I found the salmon too salty. But the potato fingerlings that came with it were bomb. Eggs in this dish were perfect but the portion wasn't filling (we all have huge appetites). In retrospect I should have ordered the savory french toast that a lot of reviews recommended. One of my friends ordered the bodega burger which looked delicious (my kinda food). Our party also ordered the vegetarian sandwich but received an omelette instead of the scrambled egg mentioned in the menu - no big deal for us but if you're particular about how your eggs are made, that's something to consider. Our party also ordered some lemonades, which came with a straw in a packaged bottle - fresh lemonade would have been nice.

Washrooms are downstairs, down a very narrow staircase. One of the toilets is the size of an airplane toilet!

Brunch is amazing! Probably the best food in the upper beaches area. We love their service too!

Charming little restaurant. I have heard great things about brunch here but have only gone for dinner. I had the squash bruscetta and branzino. SO DELICIOUS. Our waiter was also super nice and made the experience all the more better.

If you have kids, do not go to this restaurant! They are very rude to people who bring strollers in and do not accommodate to toddlers. Save yourself time and go somewhere else.

Had a de-lish breakfast sandwich with some yummy crispy potatoes. Our server was lovely, and the place was super cute and cozy. Make sure to make a reso, as the place is tiny and can't always accommodate walk-ins.

I was here with my family to celebrate my mother's birthday. A great time was had. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly.

FAVOURITE brunch spot, and probably even restaurant in general by far. Food is phenomenal, staff are also just as amazing. Quaint, homey and tastes and feels like a home cooked meal made by a loved one.

Fantastic food and service! Came for breakfast, I know not recreating the wheel but best BLT I have ever had (I had it with the house made peameal). Will be back to try dinner!

My partner and I came here because we read a review that said “this is the best breakfast I’ve had in years” and honestly I couldn’t agree more. DELICIOUS. Every little bite was worth it. And the staff is amazing too! Just delicious.

Currently, dine-in is closed due to the covid restrictions of 50% capacity in restaurants.
Take out is still fantastic. I’ve only had one item but it was so good I’ll keep coming back for it when I’m in the area. The scrambled eggs, cheese, and bacon on a baguette with their version of home fries is SO delicious! It’s next level tasty! I highly recommend!

Incredible! Delicious food, amazing service, and a cozy, intimate atmosphere. Wonderful place for a date night dinner, but they also do a killer brunch.

I love everything about this place! Food, service, and ambiance are all amazing. Eating under a tree in a fenced in, heated patio in November was so lovely, and so was eating inside the cozy restaurant. I’ve been for weekend brunch and weekday lunch so far. Delicious peameal eggs Benny, falafel sandwich, and fried chicken sandwich. The smashed and fried fingerling potatoes that come with most meals are the best tasting potatoes I’ve ever eaten. The London fog and cookies (sugar cookie with sprinkles and vegan chocolate chip) from the cafe are unreal. The servers are super friendly and it’s just a happy atmosphere. So glad this place exists!

Loved this place! Some places are overrated, but Bodega is 100% accurate. I’d recommend for anyone who looks delicious food, excellent customer service and a little quirky/unique deco.

This little restaurant is a hidden gem on the east end of Toronto. We had a delicious lunch here, great atmosphere. The one negative about my visit there is I felt our waitress rushed us to finish our meal. We sat down at 1130am and by 1230pm she was trying to get us our bill. We didn’t even have a chance to properly finish our cocktails, and we had our two babies with us too. I expected this to be more of a family friendly restaurant, not one that rushes guests to finish to make room for other patrons. When I tried to order another meal to go for my husband the waitress said it would take 45minutes to make a chicken sandwich because the kitchen was backed up. 45mins wait for a sandwich for takeout is a bit much, probably need to hire more kitchen staff. All in all, still enjoyed the food and love supporting restaurants on the east end so will still be back.

I went with my girlfriend for dinner and we loved it! Excellent servers, cool music and great food. All round awesome experience. Chicken and waffles are a must if you go!

Thought I would try this establishment for the first time since I live a couple hundred feet away and look to support local business. They advertise a take out service so I called at 6.50 PM to place an order and was told they were too busy and perhaps I would want to try another day. I don't know how others would feel getting that answer but it just turned me off ever going there in the future. How hard can it be to make one more burger and fries?

Great menu and wine and beer lists! Stayed open for takeout throughout pandemic. The grocery items are very high quality and just what’s needed. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Thanks Bodega Henriette for being there for us!

The food was excellent, the service was even more so. We had our grandson with us and he enjoyed his sampling of my meal (savoury French toasts, try them).

AMAZING! Falafel was super fresh and moist. Eggs were done PERFECTLY. Their hollandaise sauce is to die for. Neighborhood GEM!

Tasty food. Good vegan options but maybe confirm before coming just to make sure they have enough. Drinks are tasty too. One patio option is just on the side walk so people will walk right next to you. A car parked on the side walk and I could touch it. Also there was no umbrella covering that spot and it was really sunny. Hopefully they'll be able to open up their nicer shaded patio soon.

Bodega Henriette in Beach Hill is a new hidden gem of East York! At Saturday & Sunday brunch, the kiddie brunch is not too kiddie and perfect for my 5 years old and I got the best Smoked salmon croissant ever. Despite their little cafe look, their dinner menu is full-scale and all dishes we ordered - bone marrow, beef cheek, salad, duck, and delicious desert had fantastic flavors. We are looking forward to trying everything on the menu!

I recently tried this nice little restaurant. It reminded me of being in a county house. The service here was great friendly and informative staff. Very reasonably priced and had a nice selection of beers if you’re into that. I tried the falafel sandwich which was delicious it was filled with edamame and had a delicious hummus on it as well. We also had the rapini sandwich which was on a delicious bread and had a nice spice to it. Coffee was right on point as well. Look forward to going back and trying their brunch which they are most famous for. Definitely a must try.

I’ve been here many times for food which is good but i want to work on my laptop and 3 times now the wifi won’t work and they refuse to do anything about it. “it’s not their area of expertise”

Bodega Henriette is a neighborhood gem! I love the service and food here, and as a tea lover, their selection is wonderful.

Free street parking on residential streets, and a patio in warmer weather:) They always leave a bowl of water out for dogs too, which is great during our hot summers.

They have great food, and I would have given them five stars, until an unfortunate discrimination incident this morning. I came in with my elderly father, husband, and baby, and we were asked to wait outside. There was a party ahead of us who were NOT asked to wait outside. The server said that it was because of fire code, but at the time they had four empty seats so it was obvious that the dining room was nowhere near capacity. Moreover, I have regularly seen the store area packed full of waiting diners and this is the first time I have ever seen anyone asked to wait outside. I am never going back. Those bigots don't deserve my money.

From the friendly service to the delicious food. I was very happy with my experience at Bodega Henriette. I had my newborn with us and they had no problems accommodating the carrier car seat. We were lucky that we arrived at a time where there was a lull in customers because it is quite a cozy place. By the time we left there were people waiting for tables. I had the savoury french toast and it was delicious. Crispy pork belly and bacon was very indulgent with the French toast, blueberry compote and maple syrup. Nothing beats the sweet and salty combo. Paired with a nice cup of English breakfast tea, it was perfect. The service was great and very friendly. They are also licensed so next time I may consider adding a tasty alcoholic beverage with my meal.

Incredibly cozy place, very small so go early to not wait too much. It feels like you're eating in your grandma's dining room. The food was really good, I had a croissant and salmon eggs Benedict. Delicious! I will definitely be back!

This is one of our favourite places to brunch in the city. Very kid friendly, with loads of puzzles, books, games and toys. Cute little patio with a few tables for summer months. The savoury French toast is a must!

The food was truly delicious, the best part being the sides of greens with a lemon vinaigrette.
Beware, the capacity is only of about 20 people. Our party of four was sitted for brunch after a 20 min wait inside. That was around 1pm on a cold Saturday in April, wait time might be longer during summer days.

A bit if a trek on public transit coming from downtown, but well worth the trip. By car, parking was not much of a hassle on the side streets in what is mainly a residential area.

Absolutely delicious. We were greeted, seated and treated with respect. As it was my birthday, the waitress was sure to wish me a happy birthday. The staff is attentive and the smoked salmon is out of this world
