I had several prenatal massages with Thi Dien and it was absolutely amazing.
She taught me so many things and I am grateful for her amazing work.

Always a great atmosphere upon arrival. Not abrasive on the senses (especially for myself, who is light sensitive). Friendly reception staff to make you feel comfortable and can go over any details prior to your appointment.

The massage therapists always go over your submitted sheets and ask about any particular spots you'd like more work on.

November and December are the busy season, as everyone wants to use the rest of their benefit plans, so book as soon as you can! They also email an insurance receipt for your benefit plan!

I love this place but wish they have an online booking system like many other spa places. Makes it so much easier than calling. Other than that, I love this place.

Great results, lacking inclusivity. Despite an initial inquiry on inclusivity for trans clients I've been called Andrew and misgendered by the staff here during my laser hair removal, but at least the results are decent.

Veronica was my massage therapist and she was amazing. I haven’t had many massages but out of the few I have had this was by far the best! Also the lobby and atmosphere are gorgeous!

I had the most relaxing Swedish massage here. Jennifer did an amazing job. I’m writing this the next day and I still have that after massage therapeutic feeling.

The receptionists are always pleasant and inviting.

The massage itself was a relaxing and enjoyable time for me and my boyfriend. However, the way they promote or sell the packages is not clear enough and that made us spend twice what we have already paid from the gift certificate that we prepaid a few months back. The overall experience was enjoyable in terms of the massage but we left annoyed by the fact that we had to pay for a whole other reservation because they don't promote clearly how their packages work. In our case was for the couple's massage Swedish package. Disappointing exiting for us.

I’ve been here 3 times for a deep tissue massage and I’ll never go anywhere else. Everyone one of them provided me with good tips to go home with, and explained what was causing my issues. Great employees, really nice people.

My husband had an appointment last Friday for a deep tissue massage lasting an hour or $135.60. Despite some comments, I said to myself we will try anyway, but my husband was very disappointed. Already at the base, he had asked for an appointment for Friday 4 p.m. A few days later, we received a call from the institute to come at 3: 30 p.m. It didn't suit us, but my husband accepted. D-day arrived and my husband could not arrive on time since he had originally chosen 4 p.m. So he arrived at 3: 50 p.m. The masseur stopped the massage at 4: 30 p.m. For me it is literally stealing. That you have other appointments after I can understand that. In these cases, you reschedule another appointment to respect what we paid for. He wanted to fix you and in the end it is he who loses. And I'm not even talking about the massage which was pathetic. He still hurts. My husband told him where he was in pain but he did not once insist on the painful area. My husband didn't want a story so he didn't say anything. I would have caused a scandal. In short, I do not recommend this place.

I have received facials, massage, and laser hair removal here for years and have always had a great experience. Definitely would recommend!

My husband booked an appointment for me here as a surprise and they totally ruined everything. The receptionist was nonchalant and did not schedule the massage as planned for my birthday. I found the manager and receptionist really rude, almost like they do not care for "my type". All in I was totally disappointed in the level of service I received here and will never recommend, even if it was free.

Had a deep tissue massage with Mary this morning. In the 20+years I have been going for monthly massages, this stood out above the rest. Best massage I have ever had. She has magic hands

The atmosphere is great. And front desk is polite. Masseuse was good. Just wished I didn’t hear the microwave beeping and slamming as well as people laughing on their lunch. Was hard to relax for the first half of my massage. Maybe insulate the break room better so clients don’t hear the staff.

I like the massage therapist Tina. But the front desk and customer service is awfully bad. After coming out in the room for a 90 minute's massage, Joella, the general manager asked me if I have an appointment in a rudeness tone. I told her I just had it done. She ask me to go to her and asked to pay. Didn't even ask how was my massage.
It just ruined the relaxing mood. Toxic environment. NOT a good place to go

Deep tissue massage with Sharon was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and provided a great massage and tips for post massage.

A warm, relaxing atmosphere as soon as you enter makes your overall experience so much better and unforgettable. Most of the RMT here are knowledgeable and always helpful - I’ve been going to their Etobicoke location for over two years and no complaints so far!

Loved the atmosphere here! Been having stiff neck for a week now and Yuriy did an amazing job! Felt so much better and 10x lighter after the massage. He also showed me some stretches to help me with my sciatica. Will be back for sure!

Very horrible customer service Experience. I love R. M. T - Tina. She is great. I get my massages every 2 weeks. However, the customer service quality is just horrible. Due to a misscommunication, I was under the impression that my Massage appointment was 30 min later when it was due to start. They called me over to let me know to which I apologized saying I did not realize and what can we do about this? I was trying to find a solution and I drove as fast as possible to reach. They ended up giving me a 30 min massage instead of 60 min and charged me the whole amount of 60 min. I tried to explain the receptionist that i was a frequent client and maybe they can give me a store credit. To which she just very rudely replied saying No we cannot do anything and we have to charge you. She said she would Email her manager which I am sure she did not.

The point is, no matter whose fault it is, as a service orienter business, what are you doing to retain ur customer base and provide them with exception customer quality?

I have tried so many other spas and massage places and every place so far has the courtesy to atleast provide some solution to keep their clients satisfied of not happy. They dont just stick to a NO.

Established was clean and nice. I Had an appointment and was seen right away. Attendant was amazing and did a great job from beginning to end. The only complaint I have is the loud conversations amongst staff that I could clearly hear at the desk in the waiting area as wel as while I was getting my massage, at one point I asked her nicely to tell them to please lower there voice as I would prefer not to her there seniority or scheduling issues while trying to relax during my session.
I would go back she was great.

DO NOT BOOK at Body & Soul (1 East Mall Cres and 2195A Bloor Street West). They only care about money. I have gotten hundreds of massages in my life and this was the worst massage experience I’ve ever had!

I booked a 45-minute massage at Body & Soul. The massage therapist poured too much massage oil on my back, so her hands were just gliding over my back with minimal pressure. When I asked for moderate pressure, she told me that she would have to charge me extra money as that is considered a deep tissue massage. I explained that I don’t want deep pressure, only moderate pressure. I have never been charged extra money for asking for moderate pressure. The massage therapist continued to argue with me about the pressure for another 15 minutes, at which point, I ended the session because it was so frustrating when it should have been relaxing. I offered to pay for the 15 minutes, which I thought was generous of me considering how terrible the service was.

When I changed back into my clothes and went to the front desk, the receptionists were even more rude. They said that there is no price for moderate pressure, so anything beyond a very light pressure, they would charge more money. I was not informed of this when I booked the session. As well, every other massage therapist I’ve been to tries to accommodate the client’s request for their desired pressure – without charging more money for it.

The receptionists also tried to charge me for a 45 minute session, even though the service was so unsatisfactory and the session only lasted for 15 minutes.

In addition, Body & Soul takes down the client’s credit card information when booking the session. After the session was over, I asked the receptionists to delete my credit card information from their system and they refused! It was only after I informed them that it is illegal for them to keep my credit card information without my permission that they grudgingly deleted my information.

I asked several times to speak to either the owner or the manager, but was told that neither were available to speak to me. This was despite the massage therapist being on the phone with the owner during that time. The receptionists refused to even give me the manager’s name!

All in all, this was – by far – the worst massage service I’ve ever experienced. There are many spas and massage therapy clinics in Toronto; go somewhere else that will provide excellent service.

Great place for a relaxing massage. A deep tissue massage from Tetiana will make you feel much better! Can’t say enough good things about this place.

Veronica was amazing! She took out knots I didn't even know I had. It was the perfect amount of pressure and relaxing. Will definitely be going back.

Everything about this SPA is perfect - starts with glamorous and cozy interior to nice welcoming reception staff and in inviting comfortable treatment rooms to very professional and knowledgeable therapists and esthetician. This place is nothing but pleasure from the moment you walk in. Highly recommended!

Have been plenty of times. They have great masseuses. But if they put you in the room at the very end of the hall, ask for another. For some reason, you can hear everyone talking in the staff room or front desk through the air vent sometimes.

Mamiko is the greatest! She fixed my ailment and I walked out of there feeling like a new person. My neck has been feeling much better with full ROM since she treated me 3 days ago. Will definitely be returning to Mamiko soon. Her hands work wonders and she is professional and caring. Thank you very much Mamiko! LB

The massage was great, why I dint give the 5stars is because they never told me that it was a second floor and I had to have a code to get in and the entrance of the building smells horrible, it might not be their fault, but it was unpleasant.

I think the space is beautiful, and the RMTs are wonderful. I have never had a bad massage here. BUT there is one front desk staff who I have found incredibly rude both times I've been to this location. She is unfriendly, cuts you off, and acts put out when she is just doing her job. It is a shame that she's the first person people interact with when they arrive because it 100% takes away from the experience, so much so that I will probably be looking to book my next massage elsewhere. I normally wouldn't bother to write a review but because the RMTs are so good and the place is so nice I think they need to know when staff are hurting their business.

I scheduled a massage for me and my mom, prior arriving I called to mention that I will be late 10 mins and the lady that answered the phone told me that there was no problem, when I got there the receptionist asked me to fill up my moms consent form and asked if we wanted to go to the washroom before the massage but she didn't mentioned at any moment that the time was running, we paid for 1 hour massage and the lady started the massage at 5: 20 I felt rushed and at 6: 00 pm was done, which I'm not happy with, I didn't like the massage it didn't feel relaxing at all, I didn't like the experience here today.

Entire staff is super friendly. The aesthetic of the office is beautiful and relaxing. I've been here a few times now and absolutely love my experience each time.

Very experienced therapists and soothing atmosphere. Mary and Tina are amazing at what they do. Friendly people all around. Be at least 5 mins before your appointment so that you’re not missing out on your massage time. You would have to fill covid related information before you start

A nice calm environment. I received a hot stone massage. Masseuse was professional and did an excellent job.

Loses 1 star because I thought that the price was a little high, and I do not like that you time starts once you get on the room, especially when its fill out forms prior to work starting.

It was my first time getting a massage here and my masseuse, Sharon was soooo amazing and open with my muscle pains and strains. Her techniques was nothing I've ever had before and even throughout the massage, we chatted and it was still a relaxing experience. I will definitely be rebooking with her and trying out other services at this location.

With regards to safety with the pandemic, the staff was very clear about their precautions and preventive ways to keep everyone safe. I was worried that while receiving a massage with a mask on would hinder my breathing, and honestly, it wasn't an issue at all. I experienced no problems with my service with a mask on. As mentioned earlier, I enjoyed my experience and time here and will be back.:)

A good massage but I was surprised not to see the massagist after the treatment to ask how I felt and whether the areas of concern were feeling better

Yesterday was my first time here. I found the place online. I live 5 mins away and had no idea this place existed. I arrived early and only had to wait a short time as all the forms were provided to me the night before. The lobby area was clean, quiet and had a great ambience. The receptionist was nice.

My RMT was Sharon. The room was clean and the massage table was already warmed up for me. There was relaxing background music on. Although it’s located by Dundas, which is a busy street, I didn’t hear any outside sounds. I almost forgot it was in the city.:)

I booked a 1 hour Swedish massage but I had mentioned to Sharon that I had some pain points/muscle tension due to working out and working an office job. She let me know that she was also going to work on those pain points since the spots were really tight. I haven’t had a massage in over 6 months and every single inch of my body was tight so I was 100% ok with this.

Don’t let her size fool you! Those fingers worked wonders - soft yet firm when needed. She was able to work on those pain points to release the tension but balanced it out with an overall relaxing body massage. I had a bit of head massage which felt AMAZING! My job can be stressful and after an hour, I came out feeling so relaxed and a little bit sore due to the extra work on the pain points. She let me know that I would feel soreness the following day and to drink lots of water. As someone who has been getting massages for years (typically deep tissue), I knew what I was getting into so I wasn’t concerned at all but I did appreciate the heads up! A day later and I still feel great.:)

Overall, great first experience and I’ll for sure be visiting again and booking with Sharon!:)

Great place for relaxation!

My Gf and I avail the 60 min deep tissue massage and it’s been great!

The staffs are very professional and the RMT’s are very knowledgeable. They also offer other services such as skin treatments, facials, and other spa specials, which will alleviate all your stress.

I came in two days ago for a Swedish massage session with Pei Lu. When she asked about my concerns, she advised me to go for a deep tissue and said “I will fix you”. I laughed. But to say the least, she fixed me! I’ve never been the person to enjoy/relax during a massage, but Pei made it happen!

As for the previous posts complaining about not being informed to be 5 min early to fill out forms or tipping being on a screen;
1. That’s common courtesy to any appointment. Be early.
2. Due to COVID, this clinic has taken measures to protecting you and their staff. Not touching their screen is one of them.

As a health practitioner, I've received and gave many massages. I'm familiar with fascia release, trigger point, shockwave, Active release and othwr therapies to name a few. Although I don't like complaining about a massage publicly and wish no firm action against the employees, my experience at Body & Soul was not great from a business and a service standpoint.

The service desk ladies were short and abrupt from the phone call through the entire time I spent there. Amongst arriving, greeting a client with a smile is an warm and easy way to make them feel welcome. I didn't see a smile once, maybe it was something I said or how I looked but it just wasn't a friendly vibe there.

My masseuse, which I won't mention her name, wasn't very great. Apart from finding some tightness in my upper back, which is quite normal in a flexion based work society, she barely did more than rub her elbows up and down my muscles. No asking about pressure, no technique outside of basics and failed to target hard to reach muscles solo like the glutes and piriformis. I don't blame her for my experience, as she will only get better with practice, however if you don't ask you don't learn.

Personally, I would do a better job running a RMT. From training about kinesiology, anatomy and fascia release to keeping the staff engaged and involved with their clients. I can say confidently that I didn't see a staff member there trying their best.

I realize the time of year is very busy for a spa and that perhaps the year we're having could weigh into the service. However, I see major opportunities for improvement.

Apologize for the harah review, however the standard for service has to be high on both ends with those prices.

I've been going here for about 5 or 6 years, despite having moved up to Bolton 2.5 years ago. I mainly go for Mamiko- she's honestly the best RMT I've ever had (and I've tried lots). She pays attention to little details that many others don't, and it makes a huge difference. Little knots you wouldn't know existed, she finds. I like that she has you sign a waiver at the beginning stating you give permission for her to work on your pecs/glutes/whatever. She also always covers your eyes for you when you're face up, so no awkwardness about keeping them closed vs staring at the ceiling. She explains everything, and she's a sweet person too! I've sent my sister and husband to her, and they're also both impressed. Also. I don't know how, but that woman has the strength of 20 men. Honestly, I don't know how she can get so much pressure on you. As someone who prefers a deeper pressure, this is ideal for me.
I've seen several other RMTs here, and have been fairly pleased, for the most part. There are 2 other women I like almost as much as Mamiko (I'm bad with names, but I think one is Lisa). I've only had 2 weird experiences there.one was a young woman who spoke almost in a whisper at the beginning of the session- not sure if she was ESL or not, but she seemed to not want to speak. She didn't say anything throughout the massage, and then at the end, she just disappeared. Like she didn't say goodbye or anything, just very quietly walked out, and that was that. I wasn't even sure if I was done or not. The other was a man who insisted on massaging my feet, despite me saying I didn't want them done because I'm very ticklish. I think he spent like 15mins on each foot, and while my feet felt amazing afterwards, I had booked the 60mins to spend on my back and neck, and only my back and neck. Like I said, they were weird experiences.
Anyway, the place overall is very clean, nicely decorated and professional. I like the warm towels, it's a nice touch. It is pricey compared to other places, especially when you factor in the 35min drive each way, but if you've got benefits to cover most of it, the price is nonconsequential. I'll definitely continue going!

This is the WORST clinic experience for Deep Tissue massage! BE CAREFUL! They will leave you with a Disability and Nerve Damage!

They do not do a proper assessment of your pain areas before they start the massage and start without this, especially this RMT " TI" or "TI" Is TIAURA CHIEM

She is not a good RMT and thinks everyone needs the same amount of force for deep tissue, no common sense.

I have been left with DISABILITY problems for a long time and the CLINIC refuses to acknowledge anything on this and blamed previous problems for this!

I would NOT Recommend this Clinic At All!

Good massage overall and clean place. However, paying as much as I did for the session, I shouldn’t be prompted out loud to tip as the massage fee wasn’t cheap either. I prefer not be asked by the secretary if I want to tip or not, and complete the transaction independently, without feeling the pressure to tip when asked if I’d like to or not. I prefer to go to a RMT at a physiotherapy location instead, no tip required as that is their JOB. Not returning here.

This place was highly recommended by a friend.

I went for a massage last week at their Etobicoke location and I will definitely come back. The staff was friendly and helpful and my therapist was amazing. I chose the deep tissue because I had a lot of knots and by the time I left they were all gone

I had a session last Sunday. The RMT was very nice and professional. If my rating was just on her it would be 5 stars. However, the receptionist although quite nice did not provide me with a receipt that i requested to be sent to my email. I followed up 3x with the spa and no response. Ive had multiple bad experiences with the receptionist at the etobicoke location (not the one i spoke to on Sunday). Some of the receptionists hang up the phone on you if they don't have an appointment available. Seeing all the reviews on the receptionist i think some training on customer service should be conducted. The bloor location is much better. Looking forward to receiving my receipt soon.

Two of my friends and I went for a massage. I got a deep tissue massage by Si Ying Zheng.

We arrived at 1pm, by the time I signed their covid papers and went in, it was 1: 08. My masseuse said she will not be able to give me a full one hour massage because I was late. When booking, no one mentioned we should arrive 5 mins prior to our appointment to fill out forms or else your massage time will be cut. My friend who went In a few mins after me got her full one hour massage.

I also did not like how unprofessional the secretary was, she promted the tip options out loud when it should be done on the machine on my own. I felt obligated to tip when In fact I didn’t want to tip because my masseuse cut my massage time by 10 minutes.

Overall, the place is Very clean and the staff were friendly.
However, I will never go back to this place

Tetiana, the massage therapist assigned to me, was great overall! I thoroughly enjoyed the deep tissue massage that I received. She was very professional and made me feel comfortable. She took the time to read my intake form, so she knew what my issues were before getting started. She walked me through the process, and was attentive the entire time. She helped me feel very relaxed. Would highly recommend!

I have been here before and was pleased with the services and the facilities but I wanted leave a review now to really applaud the staff for their diligence to cleanliness during the COVID-19 pandemic. It has always been a clean, well maintained facility, but I was very impressed with how seamless the process is to book an appointment, be screened (both online and in person), and take care of payment. Everyone wore masks while I was there, hand sanitizer was provided, screens were in place between myself and the receptionist, and my massage therapist wore a mask during the entire process (as does the client). The bed and head rests were all covered with clean sheets, and there was a disinfecting schedule in each room. I felt safe, and I received an absolutely wonderful massage that was sorely needed. Thank you to all the staff for your wonderful work.

The RMT Tatiana did an excellent job at relieving tightness in my shoulders and neck area. She took time to release the tension and checked in just the right amount to make sure the pressure was perfect.

It was my first visit after a few months of closure due to COVID so I was extra tight. The staff and office followed all the safety guidelines. I wore my mask and Tatiana did, as well.

Fantastic. Just what I needed. Very professional courteous service. Glad I did this. I will come back again.

My family has been going to this clinic for more than 5 years now. Every time excellent service. A shout out for Courtney, Tiara (T) and Mamico who provide such proffesional and faboulous massage.

I booked a deep tissue massage with Veronica and she did an amazing job. She paid close attention to all of the problem areas I mentioned at the beginning, frequently checked to see if I am comfortable with the amount of pressure applied, and even gave me exercises that I can do at home!

The atmosphere is so relaxing when you walk in- there is water and tea set up with light snacks in the waiting area, and the massage room itself is extremely clean and comfortable. I will definitely return!

Courtney Gayne is a gem. I booked a swedish massage with her recently.

From the moment she meets with you, her gentle handahake and eye-contact are deliberate, instantly engaging your trust.

She invests time in her client. She is a thoughtful, compassionate practitioner and professional, who actively listens.

And should she impress on you any other take-home advice re: excercise or dietary tips, she isnt pushy or invasive about it.

Courtney is an asset to the team,
as are the staff manning the front desk. Whether on the phone or in-person, they are professional, personable, eager to accommodate, and en pointe.

I've been going here for a little over a year now. I'll see whoever is available and I have to say that I almost always have a great experience. Not all RMTs are created equal, but they are all quite good to great here.

It is all about integrity.
I was over charged included taxes by almost 70$.

I got a gift card from a friend and decided to try a spa. I don't usually pamper myself so I booked a 60 minute lipo massage, but got a call the day before my massage explaining that the machine they were going to use was not working and that they would upgrade my service to a trilipo and I would supposedly like it much better. I looked it up and was considering purchasing a package after my appointment.

I got there and everything was fine. They did 45 minutes because the machine was diferent (whatever, I understand).

When I went to check out, they had to call the other location and confirm my friends name because no details were left on the gift voucher. This made me feel like I was some kind of crook; instead of explaining what they were doing, they left me there in silence.

They ended up charging me the full price of the trilipo (the upgraded machine). So I told her that they had called me advising they couldn't do what I had originally booked and since it wasn't my fault, they would upgrade me with no additional cost. She said "ahh you are the one" as if they didn't have a note on my actual booking. She was trying to adjust things on the computer and then made me check out on the other computer because her computer had frozen.

In the end they charged me 450$, gave me a discount of 250$ so with tax I paid 226$ for a service that was supposed to be the same price as what I had initially booked for that was 140$. Was planning to book for other services like wax etc, but I can tell they don't communicate and really don't have integrity. Not interested.

This is by far the best spa I have ever been to for a massage. I have RMTs that I like more than others but every time I go here, I get an amazing massage no matter what. If you are in Etobicoke, go here for a massage. It's the best and only place I will ever go!

I pleasantly bumped into Courtney at the Etobicoke location (first time at the Bloor West location) and was happy to see her again. She did an amazing job on my shoulder, yet again and provided some self-care tips as well. I usually end up chatting with her and she is such a warm and caring person. Thanks for your hands and big heart! Thank you!
