Bolan Thai Cuisine

This place is terrible. I haven’t left a review in a long time. I had to tell you DO NOT ORDER HERE. Just order Pai or any other thai place. This is the worst Thai food period.

Their food is absolutely delicious! We tried their fried tofu, spring rolls, and mango salad and they were all so tasty. My friend got their Pad Thai and really liked it, and I had the Khao Soi Gai which was also super yummy! The atmosphere was also nice, i especially enjoyed sitting by all the plants up front. 10/10! I’m excited to come back and try more things off the menu:)

Very nice atmosphere. I really loved the food. I ordered for one fried rice and Thai curry with jasmine rice. OMG it was soooo yummy. I recommend to try the food atleast once.

The best thai food I've ever had. 100% reccomend. If food could win a Grammy than the food here deserves it. Pretty good service as well. I got the Bolan pad thai and it was amazing.

Great find in midtown Toronto. The menu was good, service great and food delicious. The prices were very reasonable and the four of us all enjoyed our meal. The orders were taken quickly and food delivered quickly too. Not only were our dishes tasty and well presented but they were served piping hot. Dishes included khao soy, pad thai and chicken basil. The cold wrap starter was shared by all 4 of us and was a delicious start to the meal. We would all recommend this restaurant.

This hole-in-the-wall Thai restaurant has some of the most incredible Thai food we've had in a long time. The food tastes super authentic and delicious, they have a great selection, and portions are great. Don't miss the mango mousse because it will rock your world. Highly recommend!

Was looking for a cozy Thai spot close to my house and saw this place on Google, after reading the reviews I had to try it. I made a reservation the same day which was a Friday night for five people. Service was a little bit slow, it took them about 15 minutes to actually take our order once we sat down. After we ordered it was a solid 25 minute wait for the food but it was SO WORTH IT because the food was absolutely amazing, probably the tastiest and highest quality Thai food I've ever had (and everyone I went with agreed). Our server was super nice and the vibe of the restaurant is very authentic and laid back. The only reason I didn't give five stars and only four is because of the slower service but it seemed like they had a ton of takeout orders which kept them busy. Will definitely come back here and highly recommend if you're looking for amazing Thai food but don't want to mission downtown.

A neighbourhood gem! We tried the green curry and chicken pad thai, both absolutely delicious, super flavourful, well balanced. Can’t wait to come back to try more dishes. The dining room is snug and cozy, with very polite and attentive staff.

Food was good service was great. Just don’t know what it was but the place smelled little strange. Had to ask to change table and still there was this strange bleach type of smell coming from the tables. Just had this giant headache trying to stand the smell, we figured they just went overkill with the cleaning there outside of that a great place for some amazing Thai food.

Cozy and nice place with very nice staff. However their food is really sweet for our taste. Some people may like it.

This unassuming gem of a restaurant has become my favourite place for Thai food in the City. The food is always delicious, generous portions, good price, and the staff are so friendly. We make a point to eat here a few times a month. Highly recommend!

Hands on best Thai food in Toronto! Brought many of my friends in and they all loved it here. Tried a lot of dishes on the menu over the years and no misses yet. A must try spot for thai food lovers.

I've eaten at many Thai restaurants around Toronto and Bolan is easily at the top. The Bolan Pad Thai is a 10/10 and I'd recommend that to anyone looking for authentic Thai food in Toronto!

Wow. I’ve been meaning to try this place for a while and it was worth it! Everything we tried was amazing.

This is some of the best Thai food I’ve had in Toronto. Everything was enjoyable from the fried wontons, mango salad to the pad Thai and pad kra pao. Service was pleasant. Small restaurant so come early or make a reservation. Wish I lived in the delivery zone.

We walked in and were greeted by a very warm welcome - the place itself is small but very cozy and super similar to the restaurants in Thailand. The food was AMAAAAZING! Super delicious, and very authentic. Will definitely be visiting again ️

The food was amazing - I got the Khao Soi and my friend got the fried rice with shrimp! The only reason I removed a star was because the service was quite slow - the place was very busy and there was only 1 main server for everyone there. We were okay to wait but we could tell the tables around us were getting quite agitated. Next, my friend had asked if the shrimp comes with batter on it, and she had asked for it to just be cooked without the batter if possible, and the waitress said that there is no batter, but when it arrived, it was covered in it. She was fine with it regardless, but this was still a bit frustrating. If you’re dining here, just make sure you get that clarification if you have any dietary preference or restrictions:)

Additionally, I wasn’t really a huge fan of the thick ginger chunks/strips in the khao soi, as I kept biting into it and it was just too much.

Aside from that, over all it was a great experience, a bit of a tight squeeze in the venue so make sure you call ahead if you’re a big group as it may be tricky to get a table. Our waitress was also very lovely and she made our experience really great.

Delicious Thai food! We started with mango salad which was freshening and then shared 3 main dishes (red curry, a fried rice dish, and one of thier signature dishes). We were struggling to decide so our server made some suggestions and he did not disappoint. Our food came out quickly and was full of flavour. All in all a great place to eat with friendly servers. Will defintiely be going back to try more dishes!

I am not a Thai food aficionado, but I like the place. The food is good and made from scratch. The have Singha beer, Heineken Sapporo beer, as well as cocktails.
The location has a rustic charm. The washroom is in the basement.

I recommend you give it a try.

A friend of mine picked up this dish for me, with Beef and Vegetables, I assume the "Bolan Wok". Oh my goodness, it was so delicious!

Love the quality of the food. I eat/order from there almost once per month. They also have gracious service: when an item was missing from one order they apologized and quickly replaced it with no fuss.

I cannot recommend Bolan Thai enough. The restaurant is rather simple with wooden decor and classic bottles of sauces sitting by the wall, but that's contrasted by their complex tasting food. My party is fairly new to Thai food, but with an accessible menu and good prices, we thought of coming back to this restaurant.several times.

Pad Thai here is the closest I’ve had to the street food I ate on Khao San Road in Bangkok! Very good. Well organized online ordering and safe COVID pick-up procedure.

We were craving Thai late on a Sunday night and unfortunately most of the places we usually order from were about to close. We found this place online and because of the great reviews, decided to give them a try.

Were ordered our regulars, and were happy to see two of the dishes on their Signature menu. We ordered mango salad, pad thai, beef panang and coconut rice.

The mango salad was good, well seasoned and the mangos were a perfect ripeness. Coconut rice tasted just like the plain jasmine rice that accompanied the curry, no sign of coconut flavour at all. The pad thai was made with VERY thin rice noodles, which I've never seen used in a pad thai. The noodles were overcooked and mushy. As mentioned by another reviewer, the dish was an unappetizing monotone of grey-ish white; the chicken looked boiled. Taste was ok, nothing special. The beef panang was very odd and unappetizing. Deep fried (!?), overcooked, chewy, oversalted and sitting in a sauce the consistency of Greek yogurt.

Honestly one of the worst meals I've had in a very long time! We love Thai food and have ordered from numerous restaurants in the city. I can say, without hesitation, that this is the worst we've tried.

Yellow curry rice with friend chicken, chicken Pad Thai and the fried wonton! OMG! This place really Knows how to make you loyal to their food. Since we discovered this place we can’t get enough of this delicious dishes and friendly service.

I ordered chicken Basil Fried Rice and Chicken Golden Curry. It was yummy and medium spicy which suited my taste. They had put very large pieces of chicken in Golden curry which I dint like and had to break those chunks in small pieces to eat it. They could have done better. Rice was nicely cooked with sweet flavor to it. It blended perfect when mixed with spicy golden curry.

I've been going to Bolan since it opened. My boyfriend says it's his favourite Thai restaurant in the area. I have probably gotten the Bolan pad thai (the one on the signature menu) at least 25 times. It's different than almost any other pad thai I've had, except one I tried last year at Tikky Cafe in Chiang Mai. It's wrapped in an omelette and has glass noodles. When my friend tried it she mentioned that it's also pretty sweet compared to other ones she has tried. THE PEANUT CURRY. Wow. Very rich and has lil peanut pieces.sooo good. Their red curry also has chunks of squash in it which is a nice touch. Khao Soi! I find that most Thai restaurants I've been to don't serve Khao Soi (I guess because it's a northern Thailand dish?) but the one here is in my top three I've tried in Toronto. I have been disappointed too many times ordering that at other places! Other dishes I'd recommend: Pad See Ew, mango sticky rice, chicken satay with peanut sauce. ALSO! The service is amazing. They're all so friendly and sweet. Bolan is where we go when we want something a bit fancier. I wish we could dine in right now because the restaurant itself is so cute.

Regularly visit here and love their green curry & pad thai.

There have been a few thai places opening around this neighbourhood, but I think Bolan has them beat on consistency and taste for curry & pad thai.

We came to this restaurant for lunch.my friend recommended this place. Well, it was very successful.the crew were so friendly and we had a fantastic feeling. The food was just great. We had a great time and we shall definitely come back again. Keep it up.

The food is sooooo good. You can order take out online easily. My favourite is the signature pad thai dish. The portion is quite large for me and I can get 2 meals out of one order. Highly recommend!

I celebrated my birthday today in this great restaurant. I am glad to say that we enjoyed a phenomenal evening and the place was no doubt one of the reasons for this happy event. I just went for pick up because of covid times but I liked the ambience and will definitely go again once it is safe to do so.
This was my first time here and Bolan didn't let me down. The food was awesome with good serving size, but little bit pricey though as compared to other places.

Great authentic Thai flavours. We've ordered from Bolan a few times now. Each time the food is super hot, fresh and consistently tasty!

Pad Thai had good flavor but fried rice did not. The appearance of both dishes was no appetizing in that everything was very white and colorless. The chicken, the rice, the noodles, everything looked as if it were only boiled which to me was very strange for these dishes, especially fried rice, which should have some color from being fried. Next time I want Thai, I will be looking elsewhere.

Finest food, super friendly staff members, constantly awesome ambience. They charge convenient rates and the food quality is great. Kudos.

We love going out. Last night we came to this excellent place which friends told us about. We passed a lovely evening there with first-rate meal and a nice crew and a professional cook. We added this restaurant in our phone list and we shall surely return soon. We highly recommend.

Have to say I was quite disappointed after reading all the great reviews! Green curry chicken was awful, very liquidy, two small pieces of eggplant, rest was tons of dry pieces of chicken and few bean sprouts! Rip off.: (
Noodle dish Pad sew ew was also very disappointing, ordered it because it said Chinese broccoli and it wasn’t, just regular overcooked broccoli. Don’t think I would order from there again.: (

This spot is worth giving a shot. They have large portions for affordable rates. Consistently neat and with excellent ambience. Will visit here again.
