Bombay's Chutney

If you want to try Indian food here is the place. A bit small, could be tricky for large groups. We were 5 people had a selection of entrees and shared. Really good food, flavourful. Excellent service, orders taken efficiently and food delivered much quicker than expected. Hot and aromatic. Spring rolls and pakoras very good appetizers. Tandoori chicken, lamb Korma, shrimp vindaloo, paneer Makhni, and of course Butter Chicken. Butter Naan, Garlic Naan. All enjoyed. Try the mango Lassi. I reccomend this one.

Food was great - authentic and delicious.
The portion size is small for what you pay. I wouldn't say it is shareable.

For dinner I had the Lamb Vindaloo with Garlic Naan. I had a choice of mild, medium or spicy. I chose medium and that was that was the right level for me.

The preparation time was about 15-20 minutes but the wait was well worth it. The meat was very tender and the gravy was heavenly good. The garlic naan was hot and was soft and fresh. My only complaint was that I should have got more to soak up all that delicious gravy.

Dint eat here to he honest. Looking at the name i thought they’d have Vada pav. They apparently don’t. Just thought people would want to know.

Feels like ate only guna hua atta uncooked. Name is chutney there was no chutney in food worse you can have. Chef should quit cooking

Great food, great service and excellent selection. Masala tea was fantastic. Timings could be better. Wish they were open later.

The food was excellent! They had a good selection of items on the menu. Both Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian. Today we chose to eat only Vegetarian - The Thali, The Aloo Tikki Chaat, Onion Kulcha were great! The Aloo paratha was lovely! Will be certainly going back. The Server PARUL was also excellent!

Very sub average food. Karahi beef soupy. Rogan josh soupy. Taste sub average. Rice used for Biryani of cheap quality. The chicken tikka hariyali was also sub average. This restaurant had better food before but it appears they have dropped the ball big time. Maybe the kitchen staff needs more experience.

I wish I could give negative rating. Worst place to eat indian food. We ordered aalo parantha and there was no potatoes in it moreover the bread dough was taste so bad like no-one can eat and it seems like the dough was prepared a week ago. I think I threw my money in garbage and i feel very bad to throw food in garbage but I don’t want to fall sick. Don’t go there guys.

We tried this place when we visited Richmond Hill. I really loved the food. This restaurant had good vegetarian options. We tried the veg thali. Everything was fresh and tasty. Naan especially was awesome.
Overall a good experience.

Great tasting food in a budget, fast service - Bombay's Chutney has now become a regular place to fulfill an Indian appetizer craving.

We really enjoy it here normally. I have been their customer since they first opened up years and years ago. Lately, I am finding their food way too spicy even when I tell them it needs to be mild for the kids. Today the vegetarian biryani rice was so spicy neither of my kids could eat it. The food is delicious and tasty. I just need them to make mild actually

I just ordered from uber eats from this restaurant and called the restaurant regarding this order and requested some chillies and to make it spicier. I would really appreciate noor for excellent service provided by her. I would recommend the supervisor to promote her as she is one of the best since we ordered in Ontario and really cheerful while talking to the customer as far as we observed from the conversation on the phone.

Food was burnt and quantity was not even for one person.not worth ordering from here. Waste of money don’t ever order from here they took almost $50 for two appetisers with garbage quality this is not Bombay chutney this is waste of money

Food is not very good. No taste even its hard to say if there was salt in the food. Sorry but very disappointed with the quality of food.

Was blown away by the na'an, everything we ordered was excellent. It's a hole in the wall so I had mediocre expectations- and I was floored. Will be back lots! Spent more than I planned because it was so good I was motivated to splurge on drinks and dessert.

Disappointing place for Indian Food with over charged food. They don’t offer rice or anything with their curry which u r paying $20 for. You will have to pay extra for roti or rice. Their service is really bad and there are multiple flies (4) …chicken tandoori was not cooked, pink… I threw up… worst experience and not returning. The hygiene of the place is disgusting and questionable.

Dined here today and just loved the whole experience. Service was very quick and the food was delicious. Our servers were very attentive. Aloo parathas are to die for and the curries were also amazing. Would sure visit this place again and recommend to friends.

My friends and I dined here to celebrate the holidays. It was one of a couple restaurants that was open during that night. But we didn't regret coming here at all.

We ordered the chicken tikka masala and the butter chicken, which was served with either naan or rice. Both dishes were delicious and we really enjoyed our food. Our waitress that we had was also very helpful in providing us with recommendations. This is definitely a place worth coming back for

Food tasted average for the price we paid. Most can cook better food with a bunch of frozen gravies.
I haven’t tasted a more unflavoured biryani ever.

Not worth at all

My husband and I had paneer makhani last night and it was the best paneer makhani I’ve ever had.

The biriyani was dried, meet is look like grilled long time ago. Super upset with the quality of food and price.

Rice looks like colourful but only with color. No taste at all.

Mutton curry was full with gravy. No taste like cashew.

We ordered beef biryani; it was tasteless, it felt like we were eating boiled rice and the beef had no taste as well.how come they sell this food at restaurant? My husband got stomach cramps right after eating.please improve or discontinue.

It is not nice place to visit again. Ordered karahi paneer found hair in it. Flees are roaming around. At last I asked for takeout containers and that was also dirty. I don't know what they guys are doing and they deserved this rating.

The vegetarian and beef samosas are very good. Had them for a dinner party, everyone loved them.

I ordered Beef Biriyani from Doordash. It was below average. Quantity was good. The rice was kinda low quality and didn’t taste good. Not recommended.

Hands down one of the best Indian restaurants in the city. Amazing fresh food and excellent service. I have been going here for years and will continue to they further. They have maintained their quality amazingly well.

Butter Chicken, garlic naan, dessert rice was great and well packed in containers.

Food is very nice and they can customize the spice level to your liking. Veg appetizers platter was really good will definitely comeback.

Takeout is always packaged well (we made sure to support them during the pandemic). Food always tastes great!

This is the only Indian restaurant that I will ever order from or go to. Was craving it during the pandemic so ordered delivery through Doordash.

Food was well packed, delicious and consistent, portion was generous.

I've had takeout several times from this location, though I'm not too experienced with Indian food, I liked the curries and naan I had. I do have experience with restaurants in general, and this is a place I'd stay away from; they've messed up my naan orders several times, and I once had a butter chicken dish with around 100g of chicken.for $18. I'd go a little further south for Indian food.

Food is always fresh and yummy. Drive from markham with my colleague to enjoy lunch there. Decent price and nice music.

Was really let down after reading the reviews. Selection of breads was great but felt all the dishes were like soups.

Just ordered Paneer Makhni, Butter naan, Garlic naan and Samosa. One word - worse food.

Being an Indian myself, I am very much aware of what these items taste like.

Garlic naan - used the packaged garlic which gave no taste to the naan at all. It was very oily as well. It didn't even felt like butter.

Paneer makhni - came in a container that looked more like frozen packaged food container. Worse taste ever. No salt, no flavors and was just a box of tomato puree with paneer cubes. They need to relook into their recipes or find someone who can make it properly or I can teach you one

Samosa - frozen packaged one that was deep fried and full of oil.

Will never ever order the food from.this restaurant. First and last order from here.

The serve variety of Indian dishes with very reasonable price. We really enjoyed nice Indian food here. I especially recommend butter chicken curry.

I have been to Bombay Chutney a lot over the past few weeks. The food there is excellent, I usually order the Veg Thali which is great. I absolutely adore Matar Paneer. The service is amazing. The server, Seema, is courteous and very helpful. Absolutely recommend this restaurant.

I just ordered and received it by Uber. The food was ok, but to my surprise, there was no rice, no bread, no utensils, no napkins. Just a bowl of a cuisine in a bag. Since when Indian food comes like this? Will never order again.

Very well kept and accessible restaurant. They offer large portions and for economical rates. We liked the food very much and the waiters were very amiable and explanatory. Highly recommended.

Dispute being taken as some what of a meme in the Bayview community, Bombay chutney is very good. Price is fair for the portion given and wait time is not terrible. Would definitely recommend you to try this place out.

I celebrated my graduation today in this great place.happy to tell that we enjoyed a fine evening and the place was absolutely the reason for the outstanding gathering. The crew collaborated in a graceful manner, the cooking was great and my friends were very glad. We shall absolutely return for more celebrations.thanks very much.

Prices are really high.
The amount of food you get is less specially the dishes with gravy are filled with vegetables less meat.

Ordered aloo tikki as appetizer but had no flavour, we asked for Bhelpuri and got bhel instead. Curries were not upto to the mark and rice was soggy. I would say food was flavour less and way too pricey.

Can I just say wow about this place? So much food selection, lots of wonderful spicy and veg options. But the real treat is the service. There is always someone looking after you and things come pretty fast. Good food good service and large spaces to sit (they usually sit us at a 4 ppl table when there is two of us and there's lots of space for food) if you aren't familiar with the words the servers have great suggestions too.

Ordered cholle bhatura and bhatura was made from nan dough and had sesame seeds in it which I never seen in bhatura and was totallyflatten.cholle was ok.

Close this restaurant down. The food is bland, I ordered butter chicken, paneer and chicken curry. First off the taste was basic no Indian flavors and why be cheap on the meat.the butter chicken had only 2 pieces and chicken curry had 3 pieces.they should call it water curry and just butter.oh god the naan was stale.you should be ashamed to serve such poor quality. This food is to trick people who don't know what real Indian food should taste like.recommend Host restaurant.

Compared to other Indian places outside of Toronto it’s a bit disappointing. Way too overpriced for the quality and portion size. Good thing is I was hungry and it fed me.

Placed a simple order – three channa-bhaturas for takeout.
The most pricey channa-bhatura I have eaten for a while. But the preparation and taste was satisfactory (but not outstanding).
