Bomond Restaurant And Event Vanue

Restaurant is very big. Not cozy. Tables too close to each other. There was no nice show at the restaurant. Latin music in Russian restaurant sounded stupid and boring. One crew was picking a fight with random guy, and instead of calling the police and kicking them out the management just let those people stay and keep bothering other people that came to enjoy the event. Absolutely not professional and show the level of the place. The best thing in this restaurant was a waitress that tried really hard.

We did Corporation party.
All was excellent, enough great food, great DJ Dima, the staff was amazing. Wanted to add that all food that left they packed it for to go and all left alcohol also was giving us back!

I booked this restaurant for my birthday celebration. Initially I was going to do on my actual birthday which was Sunday, but decided to go a day before as they have entertainment on Saturday. So, once I booked I asked them to bring my cake out at midnight and congratulate me. It was a common practice as they told me. I was sure that everything will be fine and they know what they are doing.
Many of my friends have been to Bomond before, and I only heard positive things. Once I arrived, the manager came to my table and asked what I’m celebrating today. I was surprised because she was the one on the phone with me discussing the date. But I didn’t pay attention to that and moved on with my evening. I was sure everything will be fine.
We had a good evening, food was good, music was good etc. I was having a lot of fun. My guests were dancing and having fun. Closer to midnight I came back to the table to cool down from dancing and that’s when I noticed my cake was cut and put on the table. I went to find a manager but of course there was nothing they could do. I can’t tell you how sad I was, I didn’t even have a chance to take a photo of my cake. From that moment I thought that they probably forgot about midnight and wouldn’t congratulate me…. Comes midnight, they stopped the music and started to announce a birthday, I was thinking it was me but by coincidence there was another person celebrating birthday as well. They brought her cake out, all was good.
Then they brought a cake that they had at the restaurant and put some toppers with candles and announced me. My guests celebrated with me etc.but it didn’t feel like the staff cared enough to make my birthday a celebration! It felt like there was too much going on and too many birthdays at the same time so they couldn’t manage.
The owner is a very nice man, and I don’t want to ruin their reputation. I just hope for the future you guys will pay more attention to details, because some people are sensitive and can get upset when things go not the way it was discussed.
Overall thanks for a good atmosphere, my guests had fun and good memories!

This is a great place to eat, dine and dance. The live entertainment was amazing and want to go again asap. Steve

Didn't want to leave a review but when I read the owner response I understand this guy shouldn't be in business! I was at the restaurant twice, all the food there with no exception is unbearable! Shame to the Russian cusine which is not even closely resemble to. Attitude is disgusting! I refuse to any invites I get to this place. Luckily they are very rare now.

To the owner:
save your time on your rude response. Will only proove my point further. Use the opportunity to sign up for cooking lessons!

We celebrated my daughters 1st birthday here and everything exceeded our expectations. The hors d’oeuvres was a very unique touch. Everything was fresh and delicious. Service was the best!
The DJ/host is probably the best in Toronto hands down.
100% will do another private event here in the future!

We just celebrated my son's Bar Mitzvah here. Everything was absolutely amazing. The service, the food, the atmosphere. They were all perfect. Everyone of our guests had a blast. They left with full stomachs and a smile on their face. The entire night went flawlessly. We want to thank Stas the owner, Eliran and J Stixx the entertainment, Maria the decorator, the Bar tender and all the wait staff and all the chefs in the kitchen. You all truly made our event a success.

I had my daughter's Bat mitzvah at Bomond and it was so fantastic. Everything was perfect. The team is great to work with. The party had a fantastic vibe and all our guests commented on how amazing everything was. One guest said it was the best food she has ever had at a function. I can't count how many people fell in love with Eliran (DJ, musician, singer, MC) and the energy he brought to the party. Dimitri and Maria were very accommodating and worked hard with me to create a kosher style dairy meal that was out of this world. Because I was distracted, I did not eat much and am now very sorry because everyone said it was incredibly delicious. Stas was a fantastic host and checked in numerous times during the night to make sure we were happy. Maria did a great job on the decor and Anna was a great photographer. All in all it was an incredible party and I am so happy with Bomond!

We had our daughter’s Bat Mitzvah party at Bomond Restaurant last Sunday and it was a wonderful experience.

It was our first time hosting such a large party, we had around 80 people (adults and children together) and I was extremely worried about how the party would go. The whole Bomond team was so helpful and patient with us.
Stas always made himself available for us and helped us so much with organizing and planning the party and he always made sure everything was done to our liking.

The food was unbelievably delicious! We had so much amazing food on the tables - there was an excellent variety of appetizers and main dishes.
So many guests expressed how impressed they were with the quality of the food on the tables.

The service throughout the whole party was remarkable.

We are so happy that we chose to host our big event at Bomond - we had an amazing time and made some unforgettable memories!

Had a great time hosting my party Saturday night. Great food and entertainment. Restaurant was able to cater to my kosher friends which was a huge bonus. Restaurant was so easy to work with prior to my party. Will be going back for sure!

One of the best restaurant experiences we have had in a long time. The food was amazing, the staff and music was incredible. Wouldn’t have picked a better venue for an intimate birthday celebration. We had the place to ourselves for brunch.

The food is 3 star the service 2 star.music 2. Nothing compares to Babushka. Atmosphere is very cold and naked.not enough waiter/ waiters. They do nit know what smile means. Rather disppointed. Not going back.

We celebrated our son's Bar Mitzvah at Bomond and everything was just WOW. Staring with the exquisite cuisine that left our guest in awe (THANK YOU Chef Dima), continuing with the waitressing team who took such an amazing care of us and our guests, the entertainnment crew (Edi, Dmitry MC, and dancers) who made sure we had a blast listening to the the best hits throughout the event, and finishing with a top notch ambience of this place. I highly recommend Bomond as a top quality banquet venue for your milestones! Thank you Bomond for making our night unforgettable!

I attended a function at Bomond and I was impressed with the proximity of this venue. The music, the lights and friendliness of the staff made the night. Upon hearing news that they are able to accomodate Kosher meals, I can firmly say I am looking forward to celebrating at Bomond again!

Waste of time and money.
Where to begin, last night was NYE 2020 I was with a large group, a table of 10, five of which were adult males with an appetite.
Food was lacking in flavor and selection.
A packed table is what we arrived to. Barely a few inches to set my lighter down, which sould be a good thing you would think. The appetizers/salad course were all doubles on the table and everything had mayo in it, so much that it made everything soggy and swimming in white water. As the night continued the entertainment was there not only in an entertaining capacity but as a distraction for the lack of food. The server was asked about the next course repeatedly and answered "10 min to the next course" 10 minutes became 15 & 20. Finally salmon croquette was served smothered in mayo. Again asked the server about the next course repeatedly and answered "10 min to the next course" 10 minutes became 15 & 20. A meatless bone served on bland mashed potatoes was served next. Not good. At least 40 minutes go by untill the main course came out to a sad platter of meat containing 6 lamb chops for a table of 10 drinking adults five of which were hungry men. I know it seems like a lot of food, it really was not. Most of the salads were taken off the table untouched the portions were flavorless and unappealing to the eye.
When spending $200 per person (alcohol not included) you would hope for better, just over all better. To top it all off coffee and cake was served at 2: 45 am once 6 out of 10 of the table had left.

For $100 a seat, I was not expecting chicken wings for main course. Food was mediocre compared to other Russian banquet hall. None of the people at the party enjoyed the night. Not coming back.

Thank you for your reply. The price per seat is $85 + 15% gratuity (total $97.85). We had a party of 30 people and every single person expressed their disappointment to us. The food was mediocre and the main course of unsplit Chicken Wing was not fit for the price of a seat.

The owner Stas and his staff were amazing and entertainments were so awesome and great. We had our wedding at Bomond and it was a magical experience! The whole event was well organized and went by without a single hiccup. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. All our guests had an amazing time. We strongly recommend Bomond to anyone looking for a wedding venue.

We were promised one thing and received an underachievement of it. The menu was small. Very limited food. Paid extra for the rack of lamb and we're shown a picture of a beautiful dish and out came an awfully decorated plate. Were not very attentive. Half our table did not receive tea cups. They ran out of tea. We brought two cakes and one was not even brought out until we contstantly reminded them, to which many of our guests left by the time they brought it out.

Gathered there with a small group over the weekend; it was our first visit and we left very impressed:) High quality food items, nice and clean decor, great music, and amazing staff. Hoping to be back again soon!

The place is beautiful and the staff are very pleasant however, they jam way too many people into a small space and it feels very uncomfortable, no room to move. There wasn't enough food and it was quite pricy for what you get (we were a party of about 25 people). Music acustic is quite low but love the energy of the guys hosting. Over all, not worth it for the price you pay.

The food was good but nothing extraordinary. The service was slow - we waited for the cake to be served for two hours.
