3 yrs ago: Excellent service. These people know what they are doing.

Now, we need to resolve the mishap that occurred in August 2022. Pool was accidentally emptied by the service student and now needs to be addressed with all the follow up concerns. No resolution yet by the company.

As of April 17 2023: Still waiting for a fair compensation. The mishap has cost me in excess of $2000.00 and loss of plenty of leisure summer use of the pool during summer of 2022.

As of May 1 2023: After numerous exchanges via letters and calls, still no resolution. Could you believe that they even charged for servicing the pool after emptying it? They have offered to credit ~$90.00 ignoring the water bills I attached which clearly show I spent in excess of $1000 for refilling the pool as a result of their failure to keep one of the valves closed on opening in May and as a result of emptying the pool in August. Also 3 planned weekend parties lost as a result of this mishap as the pool and spa could not be used and had to cancel the events.

As of June 10 2023: no resolution by Bona Vista

As of August 7 2023: No resolution from Bonavista.

Sad to report that the pump that was requested to be replaced last season rather then just repairing it gave out so we had to get a new pump.

The story: The pump last season was on its last leg. They sent out an estimator. That is correct, someone who was a supposed expert and ready to give his expert opinion. After spending about an hour and speaking with me told me that a new pump should be invested in. I AGREED. Further Sarah upon hearing this wanted an email authorization WHICH I GAVE. So what a surprise that a week or so later, there were 2 men working and i thought great, our new pump has arrived. When i happen to go and speak with them, they noted that they were there to change the motor only. I asked why and they noted that the pump is otherwise in good condition and why would you want get a new one? Totally contradicting the other person and against what i consented. Had they completed work as planned and requested, we would not be out another $1000.00 plus now. Who should be responsible for this? You be the judge and review this company and its practices so they can change for the better. Imagine the time spent on all these interactions and yet they do not want to take responsibility for their actions.

Please avoid this business!

“New” website, which is live, has incorrect information, such as flat rate shipping cost.

Also, there is no literature on the website indicating an extra cost for out of postal code shipping however owner indicates that there is, and it’s considerably more than last year).

One would think that websites have undergone some sort of proofreading prior to going live however that isn’t the case with this business.

Terrible experience overall.

I worked for this company years ago, excellent and professional company! Perhaps the company remembers "Corrado" (forgive me if I've spelled his name wrong). He was the finisher/painter I was teamed with. Meticulous attention to detail! You won't go wrong with these folks.

We searched for a hot tub for some time and found that Bonavista in Leaside offered quality products and most important excellent customer service. We were nervous about this purchase but Rob has been so excellent in supporting us and guiding us with our new hot tub maintenance. Other hot tub retailers just didn't offer the level of support that these kind folks do so would highly recommend Bonavista Leaside to anyone looking for a hot tub!

Bonavista is an excellent pool builder. Several of my friends are home builders who use them and have only good things to say.

Our pool was built by Paradise and when the owner passed away, Bonavista was kind enough to take on Paradise clients for maintenance.

I believe they did their best but the outcome for us was less than acceptable.

Not sure if it was because they were overextended and/or inadequately staffed due to covid but many of their staff didn't appear to know what they were doing and we ended up paying their tuition as they figured it out.

Rather than taking responsibility both management and staff were always blaming Byron (previous pool builder) for all the issues.

Have since switched companies and am glad I did so.
