We come here often, ordering three more bowls of noodles each time: I ordered fish noodles today, but the rice noodles are much less, and the taste is bland. Report to the boss, the boss has a bowl of noodles than you, and the result is more challenging to eat

Pho is standard, not too good and not too bad either. One advice, do not order their 三色冰，you will regret very much.

The food here is always really good. But the service is very off putting. When I come and visit for take out, the employees here act like they want to avoid the customers. I had to try to fly someone down for 5 minutes, to order take out.

Overall, the quality of the restaurant's products is good, and both the noodles and beef noodles are excellent. But I personally like satay beef noodle and curry mutton noodle. Although the mutton is frozen, I still like to eat it.

First time there and was greeted well. Asked for the sate beef noodle soup. They brought my friend's out first and then mine 2 minutes later. Only for it to be what I did not order. It was a curry broth with beef, peanuts, lemon grass, and potatoes. I was shocked.this was not mentioned at all in the description. I, at first, thought maybe the broth is a little foamy; so I took my spoon and dug into the broth.it was obviously a curry broth. It was thick. I tried explaining to the chef that they got my order wrong. I repeated what I asked for and instead of correcting his mistake he decided to stand there and "try" to gaslight me into it being what I ordered. He was like if you want it spicy add the sate or chilly oil to the broth. I tried my best to explain what I ordered and he kept telling me this is how I make my beef sate. I understand it is expensive to make and he does not want it to be a waste so he was trying to convince me to eat it. However, I did not want to remain there. Sadly, I did not take a picture of the meal. I just got up and left from my table. Apparently, I no longer know what beef sate is.

The place gets pretty busy and you just have bear with the service. Food was great and makes up for the less than ideal service.

Good Vietnamese restaurant operated by chinese people. Lots of selection that you would expect, food is good, and well priced. Restaurant is a bit small, so everyone can hear your conversations if you're talking loudly.

Heard some friends talk about this restaurant and the amazing Pho and Tomato Crab soup with Vermicelli and had to try it. Came here today with a co-worker for lunch and it was quite busy for 12: 30pm on a Thursday afternoon. Ordered the Tomato Crab soup with Vermicelli and my co worker ordered the Satay Beef Pho. We also split a spring rolls.

Spring Rolls came very quickly and it was piping hot and crispy. Amazing flavour and very fresh.

My Tomato Crab soup with Vermicelli arrived and it was very very piping hot and so much crab meat all throughout. The soup broth was very unique and the aroma and flavouring from it was amazing.

My co-worker was equally impressed with his Satay Beef Pho that he loved it and the authenticity of this Vietnamese restaurant.

We will be returning.

This place has gone downhill. Having been to many Viet restaurants in Canada, the food here is mediocre, beef brisket is hard to chew, noodles are on the harder side. Service is super slow. They didn't serve our drinks until we've finished our meal and ready to leave. 2/5 stars.

My friend brought me here for the first time cause we were craving bun rieu and I was literally on the hunt for a Good Vietnamese Restaurant to go too. We ended up ordering 2 large bowls of Bun rieu and 1 Banh cuon Cha Lua to try. Everything was phenomenal, the Bun rieu I can talk about all day, the crab meat, the noodles, the broth, right down to the smell. It's like eating with your eyes. I don't know what it was but I couldn't get over how nice the presentation was. The Portion size was perfect. The Banh cuon Cha Lua was amazing, the cook recommended we eat it with more fish sauce, we didn't hesitate and let me tell you something, if the head cook recommends something, go for it. You will not regret it. By far the best bun rieu i've had in a long time and I'm definitely coming back to try everything else

Decent food and services. They have one of the better bún riêu (rice noodle with crab) in Ontario. The Vietnamese coffee was very decent too! I would not order the My Tho rice noodle as it is not very authentic and the sauce was just so so. Price is reasonable for the portion.

Food is delicious but not all menu items are available; we were there on Monday lunch and they ran out of crab and chicken. There was crab in their famous crab soup but no crab was available for their other crab dishes. They were busy for a Monday lunch and the one server had trouble juggling seating, taking orders, serving, clearing tables and take-out.

Small, humble spot in Scarborough that surprisingly gets overlooked. They have so many options other than pho if you ever want to explore Vietnamese cuisine. Their staff is small but I've never had bad service the times I've gone. I've been to other restaurants with bigger staff and not as busy that had bad service.

Great authentic Vietnamese restaurant. The crab vermicelli in tomato soup base is full of favor. You can find chunks of real crab in it. We also had the vermicelli with spring roll and lemongrass beef. The portion is huge with lots of meat. The ice coffee they served is also one of the best I ever had. Will definitely need to come back to try other dishes.

Had a great meal here with grilled lemongrass pork, fried spring roll, rice noodles, vegetables like bok Choy! And fresh spring with peanut two them although pork was a bit dry here! Overall highly recommend this place! My dad had the chicken noodle soup and he said it was the best he ever had from Vietnamese restaurant!

Yummy noodles and curry lamb. We will definitely visit again for food.

The waiting time however was longer than what we were told when we ordered at 11: 30 on Sunday morning. The person who packed food dropped the sauce on the floor just put it back to the plastic bag, and I personally don’t think this should be a good practice even it’s not pandemic.

Service and cleanliness is okay, but their pho is amazing! The tomato crab pho is a must try here.

This place serves legit, authentic Vietnamese food. They also offer many Viet dishes most other restaurants don’t offer.
Give yourself extra time if you want to order takeout though, they are very busy and there’s often quite a wait. But it’s so worth it!

I was drawn by other people's reviews and decided to personally try this restaurant. This is a small restaurant with slightly below average cleanliness. Don't expect good physical distancing in here because space is quite tight. Portions are quite reasonable and not too salty, and they have authentic taste. Service is just average and resembles typical family business. Pho is quite good here and not too overloaded with msg. Crab noodle is somewhat subpar than what I tasted when I traveled to Ho Chi Minh years ago, and it has an unusual bright reddish colour, which I am sure it is due to unnecessary food colouring. Satay dishes also thick and tasty. Herbs and condiments to supplement typical good authentic Vietnamese dishes are insufficient or somewhat lacking. Overall, this is a reasonable restaurant to get family's stomach filled with decent value for money, but not good enough to wow friends.

By far the best Vietnamese restaurant I've been to in Toronto since moving back. Even the Vietnamese coffee was perfect! We had the specials #114 and #119.

It's ok but she didn't let me go in without wearing mask. What's the point. The restriction has been lifted and there are 20+ packed people who are eating in there without mask.not like there was physical distancing.

Weird approach

Authentic Vietnamese food, never disappoints. The owner is easy going and very nice to talk to!

There can be language barriers at times, but the food is incredible! Hope they stay for the long run!

I love the hott fresh and wholesome food that was served. We had to wait about 45 minutes for our food because alot of people were ordering take out on a saturday night. Plus they ran out of rice which I have never heard of but they were able to replace it with other options.

Been coming here for years now. Moved out of the are however whenever I come back to the area this place is my go to. Authentic vietnamese flavours.

This place is pretty decent for pho, I gave them an extra star for having unique dishes. I always use the pho DAC biet "pho special" as the standard dish as comparison on how good the restaurant is. Their broth and cuts of meat are okay but there are better out there! But if you want a unique pho this is the place to go.

The wait time for takeout is one hour when they told me it’s 20 mins. Don’t tell that to your customers if you knew the restaurant is super busy.

The Best Beef Broth soup in GTA. Is a family run business, so don't expect management level of service or all the updates on the web. Today is 22 May 2021. They have been closed for almost a month. Due to short staffs especially the kitchen helpers which they are still hiring. And 3 weeks ago, they are closed so this time I called first. I order the beef broth soup noodle and my wife order the cold vermicelli with meats. Their quality still remain a very high standard. I learn that their beef broth soup made of pounds and pounds of beef bones, chicken bones, beef brisket. Therefore the soup is very clear and very rich in taste. You can taste the difference from other stores. Most of the stores, they just add msg which you will feel thirsty later but their soup, you won't feel thirsty unless you dip the meat on the Hoi Sea sauce (sweet sauce) otherwise you won't feel thirsty at all. I hope they are able to continue to run the business because is very hard to find a authentic Vietnam restaurant and of course the Beef broth soup base!

I got take out for my family - we ordered vermicelli with spring roll, beef, chicken, and a chicken pho. The portions are generous and the price is great! The lemongrass chicken and the beef weren't the best I have ever tasted, but the spring roll was freshly fried and very crispy. Our food took 20 mins to prepare, which was very reasonable. Clean restaurant front.

I ate pho since 1997. This place is the best so far. Try there house.special pho noodle soup. Deep broth and meat is amazing quality. Quality Quantity pruce all excellent. Thumbs up.

Their satay beef rice is so good. Sometimes its too spicy, and other times there's no spice, but that's part of the fun lol. Never had satay so good before, its my go-to.

Came to the restaurant for the first time today. The bun rieu is really beyond my expectation, even after reading all the positive reviews. They actually threw in half a crab into the soup. I could actually smell the crab in the car. The soup was really crabby too. So good. I can't stop saying good things about it. I tried bun rieu once in Vietnam, and it wasn't even this good.

I will repeat for sure and maybe try some of their other dishes.

One of the best pho places that I have been in Toronto and GTA. Everything is absolutely delicious.

It’s the worst restaurant I have ever been. A 45 minute wait for a bowl of noodles. Unbelievable.

Nice family business. I used to visit this place quite frequently pre-covid. Now they're trying to do their best keeping up with the take-outs. Don't expect them to be extra-happy over the phone. Quality still consistent though.

The Bun Rieu (Crab vermicelli) here is out of this world
It gets busy and is a very small space, but it's worth the wait!

Once I was introduced to their pho, I was hooked. The rich and tasty broth over perfectly cooked noodles and prepared meats is delightful. I swear it can cure whatever ails you!

I give 2 stars as meat was good, but the broth wasn't good. It was not an authentic pho since they added the wrong noodle in pho.

The food is delicious and I eat at Bong Lua regularly. I would recommend #50 with pork and the crab soup or the rare beef pho. Anything Ive tried here has been delicious and fresh. Not to mention the durian smoothie is also very good.

Awesome Vietnamese restaurant, the soup broth is very good and have the right balance of ingredients.

This place is authentic and lives up to the "hole in the wall" hidden in plaza on the side. Flavours and style is very home style and being away from home for so long, their dishes make me feel like home. Especially the Bun No Hue, Bun Rieu, and Pho Ca Li De, damn! Those brought back those childhood memories! Also the only place you can get Bun Dap, and I recommend get it with the Thit. Also the fried chicken. OH LAWWWWDDDD. I GOT MY FRIED CHICKEN FIX AND MY VIETNAMESE FIX. Puts a smile on my face every time I come here.

Not wiping table and no service skills. Never go there again. A girl there no service customers properly.

Good value! Took off a star because the pho broth was so incredibly bland. I'm talking the La Croix of pho broth. The bun bo hue broth was fine, the BBQ lemongrass meat was seasoned great. But the pho tastes like 50: 50 water and real broth.

At Bong Lua Vietnamese Restaurant, the food was good, but when I arrived my table was dirty and the waiter gave me my friend's dish instead of mine. In addition, I found this restaurant too small and the number of tables too numerous.

Very good and affordable place for enjoying Pho with many varieties and a host of other options as well. I have noticed that on some Fridays it can get busy, but there is no wait for the most part. If spicy is your flavour, I recommend the Bun Bo Hue.

Amazing place! I've been coming here since they just opened up shop. It's nice watching it bloom before our eyes. Came here with my daughter in a car seat, she's 7 now and they treat us like family. Food and service is always A+

Whenever I crave crab noodle tomato soup (bun rieu) I think of this place. Always a line up but worth the wait

This place is always fantastic. The gentleman with the silver hair (guessing the manager) is extremely friendly, even when busy he takes time to take good care of you. The food: AMAZING with authentic taste, I believe they are Viet owners and you can tell from their menu and taste. Wife loves the pho, but my super go to here is the FRIED CHICKEN and simple white rice (check out photo, I went with the fried rice, also awesome). MAN OH MAN, you can’t go wrong with that; spicy, juicy, crunchy, full of flavour. Great little spot, must come!

Super hot place with no fans and air conditioner. Food and price is fine. Chicken with Ginger rice. Its just too hot to have food in a place with no even a fan.

If someone asks where I've had the best Vietnamese meal, it would be here. The búns that I've tried all had depth to their soups and were plentiful with ingredients. I dream about their custom rolls. It doesn't look like much but one bite is all it'll take to get addicted. No matter what you choose to put in it, it'll taste good. This spot would be perfect if it weren't for the service. To put it quite simply, the service sucks. Orders get messed up when they're busy and no apologies are made. The only thing that keeps me coming back is the food.

We came here on a Sunday night and ordered the pho and fried spring rolls. The service was quick and friendly, and the food was great for the price. The place itself is pretty clean but quite tight due to the amount of seats there were in such a small space. Would visit again!

Great food but as others have said, service is bad. Our table had questions about a sauce that was served is to be used with. The waitress answered but then made fun of our table with another set of customers not knowing that we understood what she was saying in the language. I am all for tempering expectations in service especially when the food is good but speaking about your paying customer's back openly is unacceptable.

Excellent Vietnamese food, the Bun Bo Hue (#114) is amazing, rich spicy broth with lemon grass, served with pork, Vietnamese sausage, alsoalso the Muc Chien Cay (#16), deep fried spicy calamari, was good, I liked that it was served with salad/carrots/onions to give a bit of freshness. Will definitely go back, great atmosphere.

Placed us in between two other tables, sharing with others while there were 5 other open tables and kept trying to keep us there. Food is more north based from Vietnam.

My favourite spot for bun rieu; noodles in rich and creamy broth with crab, tomato, fishcakes and tofu. Not a lot of Vietnamese restaurants serve this dish, and a lot of the ones that do don't it as well as they do, here. The restaurant itself is small so expect a bit of a wait on weekends over lunch hour.

I have visited here 3 times before when it wasn't busy (only 1 or 2 other customers in the store). Today I went around 1: 20pm with a friend. It was busy but still had around around 4 tables empty. A young girl sat us but afterwards we became invisible after giving us menus and tea. They proceeded to take 2 phone orders and seat 8 people after us taking orders and serving them there food. I even said excuse me and was ignored. I felt like we didn't belong in this establishment. We felt unwanted and left to have lunch at another pho restaurant.

Not all that great. Ordered a bun Bo hue and bun gan. The hue soup was just powdered chili (much like the packets from instant noodles) and did not seem very fresh. The bun gan was a bit better. Service wasn't that great, our food took over 20 minutes to arrive and space was tight as well. They don't have music playing so sometimes it goes completely quiet and is quite awkward.

Great Viet restaurant, definitely one of the top choices in Toronto. We tried the Hue style and tomato crab noodle soup. The Hue style is definitely for people who can handle some heat. The crab soup was fantastic. We also had a fresh roll thst was way bigger than it looked on the menu.

Make sure you check if they gave you everything. Went here twice recently and both times they held up my beef balls and tripe. Had to ask them for it cause it was included in my special beef noodle soup but not there when they served it. Seems like a scam to me or at least a dishonest restaurant.
