It's a family bar with good food and many screens to watch your favorite sport. If you don't see a particular program on the screens, you can ask the waitress and the manager authorizes them to show you the programming.
Boston pizza is a casual place for lunch or dinner; however, I’ve had a handful of poor experiences from this specific location. I went yesterday for Father’s Day and had a short black hair in my sandwich, the ceasars were way too salty, and the fries were soggy and lacked any flavour. In addition, the app plates they brought over were dirty and unusable.
The only reason why I’m giving a 3 star and not a 2 is because staff are friendly.
Staff was great. I had the beef dip. They serve the beef dip with a tiny container of au jus maybe a bigger container. The problem is is the container is so small. You can't get the sandwich in the au jus or the dip if you will. Had fries and was second guessing my fries as I was ordering it. They do regret ordering the fries. The fries were cold. Maybe would have liked a salad Price of the meal for two of us was $70 as well. Worth the money
Terrible experience. Ordered wings, that were ice cold, hard fries, soggy Thai chicken wrap, missing mashed potatoes, and rock hard chicken sandwich. Will not be ordering lunch from them again. 0/10
Only bar in the area that doesn’t make me feel like I’m in an episode of Cheers instead of How I Met Your Mother. Amazing staff and clientele to talk to
My husband had gouda ravioli and I had viva Italia pizza and it was delicious and the server Caitlyn was absolutely delightful, we've had her service twice so far and have been extremely happy with her.
It was an Awful and Deceitful experience. Let me say that the food was great but customer service was shady at best. Not sure if I should blame incompetent staff or if that was part of the plan. First I called to inquire about their Kids Eat Free promotion and I was told that as long as I bought an adult meal worth $16 & above, my kids (no age limit) could eat for free. After we arrived & settled down to eat, I went to the greeters and again, I was given a similar response. I asked clarifying questions and found it was for 12 years & under. I made it clear to our server Tara (or Cara) that my girls would order their meals based on the advertised promotion. She gave us suggestions and all. Why then did we get charged for each meal? Well, according to Tara, the girls were supposed to order from the kids menu! Mind you, we were not presented with any kids menu! This information was conveniently left out. Tara (or Cara) 's response was that "oh there's been a lot of confusion over the promotion" The way I see it, the plan was to lure folks in to the restaurant and strong arm them into paying for more than they anticipated. It would be appreciated and honorable if BOSTON PIZZA staff were upfront with the information and let their customers make informed decisions. My first ever time at Boston pizza. Definitely not interested spending my money on doing dishonest transactions. Thank you & I hope you all change your business practice!
So my family and I have been going and ordering from this establishment for a few years now and I've got to say it's a bit of a mixed bag for me. If you're eating in the restaurant it's great, and the service is good. The manager is polite and easy to speak with if issues occur. However, anytime I order from home they always seem to forget to put food items (usually fries) in with the order. Now, anytime this happens it usually was the managet who ran the missing food items out and it was always appreciated. But recently this happened again, and this time I was told that they couldn't send out the food that I paid for because there was no delivery driver and whoever was managing that day (different person) told me she couldn't do it and was offered a $5 credit for missing food that was part of a $18 dish (approx.before taxes). I gotta admit it stings to basically be told you're SOL from a place that you go to on special occasions and be told to file a complaint with the delivery service even though it wasn't their fault.
In summary. Good to dine in (because if issues occur they can be resolved quickly), but if you order out and don't receive parts of your food, they try to placate you with a small credit as opposed to the worth of what you actually paid for and didn't receive.
Went with my family this past weekend and had a great time. Food was great, waitress was great & the rest of the staff were pleasant. Thanks again and see you all soon
I was here on Monday and was seated by a girl with brown hair! She very welcoming but not overwhelming. And very good customer service.my visit before to this boston pizza the hostess was very obnoxious and loud and was welcoming me before I could get through the door. Glad to see the improvement.
Recently had your pizza and other foods from their. I am incredibly amazed of how the food turned out. The taste and texture is executed properly and presented very well! Due to covid there is no in dining but I am amazed with when it comes to delivery keeping the food warm and ready to be served! Way to go Boston Pizza!
I have been to different boston pizza locations all through my life and I do understand that not all locations are the same and sometimes the stores do have a bad day. Some locations are better than others due to their employees, managers and quality of their food. So I my opinion you don't have to make up fake reviews to make yourself look good. I been to this location before and like I said there all good days and once in awhile there are not so good days with their service and all but in general it's not a bad location but I do find it weird and odd that boston pizza encourage their own staff to do reviews to make them look good especially managers? I thought you would want to know how the location is really doing and not just lies. I was very shock to see their own manager Krystin to give herself a 5 star rating and then getting a comment back stating hope you come back soon. In my personal opinion that is a little too much and uncalled for. Not all comments and reviews can be good or bad but I don't think writing up to make yourself look good is a good work ethic. It's like lying to your customer so they can come in my opinion only. Just kind of disappointed that this location took this measure when I don't really think they needed it. Maybe they should have a chat with their managers on other ways of improving the location if needed rather than wasting time making false comments and all.
Arrived 12: 40pm on Sunday. One server was working the entire restaurant including the bar. Food coming out was slow and was very cold. Cold fries, wrap and nachos. I order the Thai chicken wrap. I was missing red onion, crunchy noodles, carrots and mayo. My wrap only contained chicken, sauce and cilantro. I feel horrible for the way staff are expected to serve the entire restaurant, this is an impossible task and is completely unethical.
We visited Boston Pizza North on November 11 of 2021. Our server was Nicole M and we had a great experience. Great food and great service. We are definitely going back.
Apres movie in the bar. I enjoy a 1 liter schooner. We had drinks, wings, thai bites, fries and onion rings. They were all excellent. I don't care for the entrees at Boston but I do like the appetizers.
Dined in during Thanksgiving. Place was quiet so it was nice and server was super attentive! Had Bandera bread and the Shrimp Alfredo Pasta. Generous serving but on the pricier side. Very good and consistent pasta whichever Boston Pizza we go.
They were having a rough night, super late delivery and the order was wrong. While waiting for a call back from manager there was a knock on the door…Delivery from Boston Pizza. They more than made up for their earlier chaos, and I call that excellent customer service. Thank you
Probably the best part of our time was the hostess and waiter, the joked with us about the baby and the hostess even said goodbye even though she was on break. I really do appreciate the amazing service at this Boston Pizza. Unfortunately I'm not from Berrie so I won't be there for a while how ever I will miss the place even though it was a short time
Wow! Delighted to have Pizza here. Post lockdown we went out amd had good food at Boston Pizza, staff was very attentive. Owner/Manager personally looking at each counter
To be honest, do you love Pizza? Then here is the right spot.
Went here with a small group of friends without a reservation the day before the stay at home order after receiving the worst service EVER at the restaurant across the carpark. The staff were absolutely amazing, super accommodating to our over excited 2 year old and made us feel welcome all while adhering completely to the COVID rules. Food was great- we ordered steak, wings, ribs and pizza between us all (not to mention loads of cocktails) and a kids meal- it all arrived promptly and was delicious. Cannot stress enough how amazing the staff were- chefs, manager and waitresses all deserve a round of applause and we will 100% be back as soon as we can!
Worst customer service of almost any restaurant in Barrie. There's a blonde woman that handles pick-up orders during the day that is rude and condescending. Management backs her up, and thinks no one there can ever do any wrong.
Going back in there as an Uber driver is even worse! Treated like garbage both here AND at the south location. These people obviously hate their jobs, and pass that on to anyone that goes there!
We visited the Boston Pizza in Barrie on the way back from the Toronto Winter International Centre Bike Show. It was a Saturday night and the place was packed but the servers were on the ball and quickly cleared and clean a both for the four of us. We were seated and had our drinks in pretty good time.
Ordered 7 cheese ravioli. It was half the size it should have been. I've never been able to finish this dish and usually bring half home. The takeout container was as full as it normally is when I leave after eating. When you lose the experience of eating in, the last thing you should worry about is a smaller portion size for the same price. I hope this is corrected for future customers. $20 for a singular takeout meal is not a good value compared to sit down dining for $20 + having lunch for the next day. I'm not mad, just disappointed.
The food was expensive and disgusting! There was bacon on my sandwich that did not touch a grill! It was still ice cold! Felt like it just came out of refrigerator! They brought me a side of bacon that was no better. The manager apologized and said she would adjust my bill. I received a "15% employee discount"! THAT was the adjustment? ! Won't ever eat there again!
Our waiter, despite being new, was excellent. I didn't catch his name but he has a British/South African accent. Right up front he asked if we were in a rush and would like our food expedited. We were there on our lunch break, so this was appreciated. The food came out incredibly quickly and the waiter speed by every few minutes to check on us but didn't hover. About halfway through the meal he asked if we would like our bill prepared to help us get out faster when we needed to go, then bright it over two minutes later. He did stop by one more just to check if we wanted desert. It sounds all typical but it was refreshing when often you have to flag down staff and wait forever for your meal/bill in restaurants. He managed to check in our needs without ever feeling like he was interrupting. So I just wanted to comment on his great service! Great hire, BP!
Management is atrocious. As a new server at this location, I have been harassed to complete online learning (for the menu) to improve the stores "numbers", by manager Sier, on my own time without being paid. There is atleast 3 hours of material to click through even if you skip the videos. As a result, I have noticed I lack the product knowledge as well as technical skills while navigating the system to give the kitchen the order. Because of this, I ask the manager Hanna for assistance quite often. Each time, I am spoken to like a child and given nothing but pure disrespect. From the derogatory language and abusive management style from each manager I hope someone higher up notices and takes action. With that being said, The kitchen staff are incredibly nice people, hosts are kind and hardworking, and I believe this is why the server turnover rate is so high at this location. Not a friendly work environment to be in at all.
Also, I just followed the link commented by "the owner" and my complaint went directly to the locations manager. Clearly, nobody cares and Boston pizza is just protecting itself.
Whoever was managing Monday was truly awesome. I tried to order delivery through their website because I hate skip the dishes but the driver didn't start til five, and for the inconvience I got a free salad. Super greatful.
Staff was outstanding! Called ahead to book a reservation for 45 people for a basketball team between games and was welcomed by Hannah. Service was fast and correct and delicious!
Came in for a beer and lunch yesterday told the hostess I was just gonna sit at the bar, lady at the bar quite clearly saw me come in and sit at the bar waited 10 min at the bar then I had to leave as the barmaid was quite happy laughing and joking with other patrons that I guess were more important than I,
We've eaten in restaurant and waited 20 minutes for a server. Service was very slow with very few checks on our table. When we were finally served no one came back to check on our food. Longest time to get our bill. Finally getting up to bar and pay. Left to meet my family waiting in parking lot.
Ordered delivered pizza Oct 4 and told it would be 45 minutes. We waited over 1 1/2 hours for it to arrive. A list of excuses both when I phoned and at my door. Pizza was cold not warm at all. Very unsatisfied. I guess kitchen Manager was too busy out smoking in parking area where he usually is during dinner when staff need him. I'm tired of breathing his smoke when he comes around to tables. Then back outside again for another smoke.
Soup of the day (chicken noodle) was good. Waitress was attentive and not overbearing. My friend got a salad and it was fresh and apparently delicious. Solid place to eat lunch
We went to the north crossing branch, we made order and waiting at least 45 min kids were hungry and getting sleepy We ordered the kids bugs and cheese thought was like Alfredo sauce but was toooo much cheese my daughter couldnt eat it We ordered salads the beet and goat cheese with greens was not the freshest and the add on chicken was still moist The calamari appetizers was little calamari rings and more of pepper or jalapeño rings breaded Was not very impressed with quality and taste was just ok spend 94 dollar on 3 salads one calamari and 5 kids meal 5
Mot eating it but my family is and fiddling around iver some simple kids deal is pathetic took almost 2 hours to make and poor kids at home hungry . After an hour of waoting they said am entre was needed to order for a fiddly deal.so silly. No wonder people bother me
Service was perfect, great restaurant set up. The Royal Hawaiian pizza was good but different from the last Boston Pizza we were at. The last one we were at had bacon pieces (which I prefer) more Gouda and less Thai sause. This one has bacon bits and little too much Thai sause for me. It's still a good pizza and one to try.
Handy proximity to the movie theater. Fast service and lots of choices. And we were there before 6 so our server made sure when I ordered wine to let me know that there were wine happy hour specials. Good value for money and great service. Don't remember our server's name but she had an English accent and she was great.
Went to the North End Crossing location with my family. Was seated right away and started with a meatball appetizer. It came with four large portions that were absolutely delicious and everyone loved them. Then I had the Beef Au Jus for my main. I really love the flavours of this mouth watering sandwich stacked with thin layers of tender steak. Our server was very friendly as well.
Terrible service. I live north of Tiffin in this store's delivery area and was told I couldn't get a delivery because they we're "too busy". This was last week. Called the head office in Vancouver.
Just tried to order a delivery. Asked for the Mac 'n cheese with spicy sausage. Was asked if that was a pizza or pasta.
The staff has NO CLUE about the menu. Mac 'n cheese is a pizza? Drive by this place and go to the south end store. This franchisee at the north store has no clue what he is doing.
First mishap was being served a warm Corona. Second was not bringing the Caesar Salad side that I ordered. Third was taking about 15 minutes to bring six coffees to the table and then only showing up with 5. Food was OK. Restaurant was loud, but bearable. A/C was turned on so ridiculously high that it was a relief to get back outside into the heat.
North Crossing Boston Pizza was excellent tonight. Our Scout fundraiser was here and everyone was super friendly and accommodating! The food was fresh and tasty. Best experience at a Boston Pizza. Thank you!
When u charge 18 dollars for chicken, you should probably serve fresh chicken.boston pizza has become a restaurant where everything comes in a bag or frozen.yet they still price there food as fresh!
The restaurant was very clean and had a good atmosphere. The service was excellent and the food was also great, I would definitely recommend dining here.
