Bostwick Community Centre, YMCA & Library

Wow! This is the community centre of the future. There’s definitely something for everyone and plenty of it is free. The library is gorgeous and well stocked. The staff is super helpful, friendly and welcoming. There is a indoor walking track which is especially valuable for seniors. There is also a YMCA gym, pool and arena. The huge atrium has a little coffee shop and plenty of lounge space in the centre of all the action. Best of all the whole building has a ton of windows for brilliant natural sunlight. Kudos to the architects. Only downside is that the city recreation programs are often waitlisted and difficult to get into. Also mentionable is a ton of free on site parking and elevators which make the whole facility accessible.

YMCA! From the moment I walk in, the reception staff greet me with a warm smile and are always ready to assist. The group class instructors are exceptional - their energy and expertise make every session enjoyable and motivating.

A special shoutout to the incredible child minding team! They take such great care of my daughters, creating a safe and fun environment for them to thrive in while I work out. I have peace of mind knowing they're in such capable hands.

Thank you, YMCA, for providing such a welcoming and supportive community. You've truly become an important part of our lives!

The facility is beautiful, however I signed up with the promise of centergy group classes being offered multiple time a week and they have fallen short on their promise.

Staff are mostly extremely helpful and in good spirits which makes the overall atmosphere inviting.

Super centre.a great community asset with library, cafe, walking loop, gym, swimming pools, meeting places, city services liaison office, tennis, hockey, basketball, ample parking. A very modern, well designed place. Simply amazing.

It used to be good when they had skilled/licensed couches. But now I am feeling that I am spending top dollar for kids programs that are administered by teen volunteers.
The quality has dropped pretty significantly.

This place is very nice. You can go for a walk on the YMCA track and also enjoy the library for free.

Love the library, ymca kids facilities along with ice hockey. Ample parking and good staff.

The staff was amazing when I asked about rollerskating. They have a website anybody can check out and brochures with times, dates, there's rollerskates rentals or bring your own skates/Rollerblades. Plenty of party.

I LOVE this Y. It has to be my fav of them all & I'm basically beside Center. My daughter LOVES the "touching pool" as she calls it. Loves being able to walk in.

A friend suggested we use the track at StarTech as it was rainy & foggy outdoors. I have not been to that end of town for years and was really surprised when I saw this gorgeous building that was modern architecture! The building is HUGE & houses the YWCA, Library & incredible indoor track, swimming pool, ice rink etc. You can walk or run on the Track absolutely FREE! It is an amazing place & although it is a 20 min drive from where I live, I will definitely be returning. BRAVO LONDON️

Great space. We visit often for sports. Lots of parking. The commissary provides healthy options!

Great gym and facilities. Everything is new and clean. Front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. Everyone in child minding is friendly except there is an old lady in child minding. She is very rude and unfriendly.

1. The walking loop could have been better planned so it is not a closed area for the centre off hours. Doing laps while getting your kids early for hockey is productive time for an adult.
2. All the glass reflecting with the sunshine is a serious design flaw. Hot for players on ice and not enough viewing room for the spectators.

Needs better hockey arena seating. For a brand new facility someone clearly dropped the ball on this one.

Overcrowded and and the pool change rooms were freezing. The pool water isn't very warm either. I like the Library but it's a bother getting in and out of this place.

I went to watch a hockey game. There is lots of glass around the ice and I could see the game clearly.

Great selection in the library and nice programs for young children and families. The walking track is a nice size and offers a good workout. The arena is very busy on Saturdays with the games going on.

Very very expensive for what is offered. You are waitlisted for half the programs unless you are online within 5 minutes of the program registration opening. It is over $70 for a family on a biweekly basis. That's $1800+ a year! You can get more choices for programs, at a cheaper cost, when using Spectrum. My family isn't made of money so we can no longer afford the ymca.

Love the place. The staff is amazing and the gym is well equipped for what it is supposed to be, a gym!

An awesome community hub and a great way to spend a morning. Even without a Y membership the indoor track, workspaces, playground and arena are great.

Great place to do exercises, studying and taking with family or friends. It has very wormy environment.

Omg, this is where all new libraries should be going. Swimming at the YMCA, skating rinks, library with lots of assistance and books of course. Basketball courts, playground and lots of free parking. Also a healthy type of snack bar/cafe. The Southdale bus goes right to the front door.

I had a layoff situation so told them i need to cancel the membership and they were not very helpful.today my kids don't even want to come back to swimming lessons because the teacher was being mean with all the kids
this place sucks overall

I love the YMCA, it's clean, bright, has tons of things for your family to do. We really enjoy it. The only problem I have is the long sign in/pick up process for kids activities. My kids are each in a class that runs 30 minutes, 15 minutes of that is parents signing them in and kids from the previous class being signed out. I drive 25 minutes in traffic to take them to these classes for them to get to spend only 15 minutes actually doing anything. Can't this process be streamed lined some how? It's a bit ridiculous.

The newest YMCA facility in London, ON. It has it all library, pools, gym, and other activities for children and all ages.
Membership in any YMCA provides access and there varying instructors available to assist if one is trying to get in shape for the first time; or just improve health and well-being.

Great place if you have kids. Gym has the essentials for a good work out. Pick up basketball in the evenings is also better than most Ys. Library staff is amazing and study area upstairs is clean and quiet.

I remember driving by the construction site three years ago and thinking to myself, wow this is a gigantic warehouse! Upon completion and realizing that it was a YMCA I was simply overjoyed.

I have taken my children there on multiple occasions in the past year and it is without a doubt one of best ways to spend time with your family. Large, bright and a floor to ceiling windowed views makes it very inviting and lively atmosphere to completely immerse oneself for several, quickly passing, hours of enjoyment that will have your children asking for another trip to this establishment by singing the YMCA song.

I've only used day passes, as I live some distance from this location, and I am relieved to say that with the day pass I've never felt as though I am being overcharged for the amount of activities that we compete while there. With the library onsite some of our visits are free, as we'll only attend there if we have limited time.

Bottom line, great location even if coming from the South of London, and with the addition the polite and professional personnel employed there makes this one of my favourite activities to partake in and places to go while in London.

This place is impressive! They have a great playground, a large YMCA, and a library with a lot of rooms and other features. The parking lot is massive which is handy.

Everything is great except the librarian staff. They speak to you very rudely and are not organized. Lights flicker randomly in the evening time. Very unhelpful staff.

Librarian was rude to me first visit.the common area is very very very loud.
The entrance is built for one way one person only, not good for heavy traffic and hockey gear then the game info boards are right inside so that causes a huge congestion at the entrance/exit. Would be terrible if there was a fire. No where to escape

Great clean change rooms. Terrible glare on A ice pad, the windows are tinted white but shines so much you cannot see the blue line. Also ice takes incredibly long time to freeze after flooding, usually half way through game. Otherwise love the library, ymca and all the rest.
