I found some great deals on home decor which were perfect to add some colour to the rooms in my home. Curtains, towels, pillows and a lampshade.all colour coordinated and of good quality. The sales person was helpful and pleasant

Came in with my wife and kids to buy a bench. Initially, the salesperson seemed helpful and pleasant. However, this changed quickly once we got to the cash. She insisted we purchase the bench “now” because there was only one left in stock. Ok, makes sense so we did. She then started to doubt that out vehicle was suitable for transporting the item and insisted she bring the item out and ordered me to bring the vehicle around to the front of the store (I did not need assistance). Once I pulled the SUV up, she started to tell me that she would not allow me to leave with the item as she did not think it would fit. At this point, she should have left me alone. I dont need help, and I dont need your opinion about how an item fits in my car. She insisted she would not let me leave with the item and brought it back into the store as the store was closing. Did not offer to refund purchase. She “expects” me to come back again for pickup.

Unacceptable and insulting behaviour. Mind your own business and stay in your lane.

After having a horrible experience with bouclair customer service online I found an amazing associate, Allison, at the Kanata store who was willing to help me. I have worked in retail for 6 years and the customer service I received was beyond anything I've seen before. I had order 6 dining chairs online which were shipped to me and 3 came without their feet. Customer service online was of no help as their solution was for me to return my chairs for refund. I wanted to keep my chairs since I spent months looking for chairs I liked that at unfortunately now discontinued. I called your store and Allison picked up the phone. After explaining to her the situation she proceeded to call stores all over the Ottawa area and beyond to find me my chairs with the feet! She was able to get two stores to sell me their demo/floor models (the only ones avail in ottawa/gatineau) and she even went and called a store out east to have them ship me a chair. I have never been so thankful and amazed at the wonderful customer service I received from Allison. Thank you again. As I await my final chair to arrive!

Went into Kanata Ontario store with a friend with the intention to purchase several items. These items were not on sale and we found them to be rather pricy.
The sales lady suggested that I might sign up on the Bouclair website for a discount of 20% as well as provide proof of a CAA membership which would garner me another 5% discount on my chosen items.
We placed the items on hold and I came back after work yesterday with my husband set to make my purchase. The manager informed us that we were not able to receive both promised discounts because she “did not know how to enter them in the system”. She made no attempt to contact anyone or figure it out and did not apologize for the former sales lady’s error.
Although the discounts were not monumental, the dismissive attitude my husband and I were given is completely unacceptable. Dee told us that the sales lady “was new”, and that in fact …. ” we are all new”. She then accompanied another associate down an isle to discuss inventory.
My husband and I, as well as onlooking customers were left disappointed and confused by her dismissive behaviour and complete disregard for customer service.

Friendly customer service *most* of the time if you just purchase your item and get on your way (I took off a star for that). On the other hand, lots of people who work there are very nice:)

But if you have questions or deviate from the quick buy and go routine, you might encounter some attitude so beware. Homesense is literally across the parking lot so there’s that and it’s always busy. Bed bath beyond and Urban Barn are very close by.

I like that they have online order pickup and delivery options.

Their Chita and Nisa blackout curtains come with one or two tiny pinprick holes in each panel. Return it if so. Besides that, those two blackout curtains I mentioned look good and truly block out light. Similar to a lot of bed bath beyond curtains.

There’s a 20% off coupon for online order and free pickup in store. Sometimes the coupon is only 15%.

Items 50% off or more are final sale.

Received amazing customer service from the lady with short blonde hair, sarah I believe. She was the same lady who helped me with my curtains and sheers last year.

I came in looking to solve my problem with sun over heating my home in the summer but I did not want thick curtains.

She was very patient while she went through all the possible options that could make my problem better and then even helped me place my order in store.

Beware of their scams on 50% discount those are no return or exchange, they dont mention that on their site while you are ordering but if you try to return they will gladly pull the policy out to push you back. Never shopping at this place.

I used to love coming in this store back when the staff were friendly faces.

I am not sure if the pandemic switched staff members around but they are insufferable now.

It appears that they are more focused on chatting amongst each other, twirling hair or stomping around frantically.

Very uncomfortable and pretentious environment now for what is a simple run of the mill retail store. I prefer Homesense across the way.

I had a terrible customer service experience today with a young "salesman" who seemed to to do everything possible to make me complain about his "work", as there was no way not to feel insulted by his behavior. I won't make a list of how rude his behavior was but, for instance, when I asked him if he could arrange the messy paper (which I had to beg him to put around the little frame I bought to protect it), he simply gave me some tape so I could wrap the frame myself. Wow. Next time I will go to Homesense, a few steps away.

Amazing customer service, one of my chairs had a manufacturing issue and broke. The amazing sales staff quickly replaced the chair with no issue.

Employees waste your time just because they don't feel finding an item for you.
Went to this store to buy an item and even though I had already made sure online that this item is available there in the store, the employees said no we don't have them in the store, they even said no other store has them in Ottawa area.
Went out and quickly called Trainyard Bouclair, the lady said yes we have them and the Stittsville store also has them. Went into the store again, they again said we don't have any. I went home and ordered the item online right away. Not surprisingly, it says the order is ready to pick up right away. Not sure how all of a sudden it got available there!

Unfortunately i had a very bad experience that i wanted to share with others
our family strictly only do curb pickups because my father in law is a high risk senior who was recently discharged from the hospital so we try to avoid unnecessary human contact, i had my curb pickup at 11: 20, so i went there to pick it up, called twice and waited a bit for someone to show but nothing so i went inside to tell someone to bring it outside for me but unfortunately the associate didn't want to hear me instead she said i'm busy training someone go look for someone else, i told her im here for curb pickup she said wait in line like the others inside the store, so i just took myself and went back home.

Terrible company to work for. Managers are bigoted, ignorant, and care more about being gaslighting, gatekeeping, "girl bosses" than being slightly decent human beings. District manager is just the same if not worse, practicing discriminatory behaviour regularly. The HR representative is not able to answer questions or inform employees about the new investors of the company. Not to mention the tax evasion from the CEO. Company stinks from the head down. If you want cheaply made "furniture" with a side of prejudice and shadiness be my guest.

Why would I reach out and discuss my negative experiences working at Bouclair when it's going to get sent to the district manager that treated me poorly for 3 years? Funny to me that NOW is the time for constructive conversation when any attempts I made while employed were ignored or met with combativeness.

This store discriminates against people with disabilities. Their own employees are treated with zero respect. As a person with a hearing loss, I would never set foot in that store again.

This place is very discriminatory towards its employees and customers. Lack of respect for any sort of situation that arises. Would never shop at their place ever with the way they treat people!

Unfortunately had bad experience with returns. Nothing about it is “easy” or “flexible”. Now have useless store credit to spend on things I don’t need. The staff is nice but it is the first and last time I’m going there.

Great store for home decor! I love the way they color coordinate throughout the store. I have bought many canvas prints from this store & love everyone of them. Good quality for the price!

Nice store with a lot of products and items for every corner of one's home. The employees are really helpful, and always show a positive attitude. They can also give you advice and provide you with their opinion on decor. It is pleasant doing business with them
