I wanted to love this place place….

Food was great for the most part but the server was cold and unpleasant.

There was no proper bartender and the drinks were meh.

I would have given this place another chance but the tone of the servers turned me off.

Too many better French restaurants within a 2 minute walking distance from here.

This was hands down the best dining experience and meal I’ve had in the city. We had the tasting menu and every dish was phenomenal. Chef David Adjey and his amazing staff made our night so memorable. I will be back!

I came here for dinner on Friday with my girlfriends and had THE BEST time. Service was impeccable, the drinks were fantastic and I cannot say enough good things about the food. The steak tartare is one of my new favourites in the city, and you have to try the escargot and foie. Best of all, chef came out and worked his magic, chatting up our table and telling us all about his wonderful dishes. I cannot wait to return!

We were transported to a Paris bistro! From the excellent servers to the unbelievable food it was a perfect Mother's Day brunch! The oysters were incredible & the lobster croquettes were to die for. The steak was as good as if not better than Blue Bloods! We can hardly wait to go back & we are! Thank you David Adjey for making my day so wonderful!

The Creme Brulée was amazing and the bartender, Matty was absolutely top tier! Such a fun conversation and an amazing evening. Can't wait to come back

A lovely spot, all the dishes were extremely well done and the waiter was extremely kind and knowledgeable. Would return for the chef, and the team! Specially Ludovic!

Food mediocre. Not worth the price. And service was terrible. Six months after opening I thought they’d have it figured out. Server poured water on our table twice, and didn’t clean it up. Took our cocktail order and then said he had to take the menu as they were in short supply (they’re printed paper!). A different server informed us we’d have to slurp the mussel sauce as the bread delivery didn’t arrive. Then someone in the kitchen dropped a whole stack of plates which the entire restaurant heard. It was like a comedy of errors but when your bill is $150s/person for this experience no one is laughing. Do not recommend. They still need work to do.

We went to Bouffe for the wine and dessert and it was delicious. They had a unique wine selection that can’t be found elsewhere, and by far the best creme broule in the city. Our server Matty helped guide us through the menu and the other restaurants in the area, really set a great atmosphere for us

One of the loveliest dining experiences I have ever had.

In fact, I have had the pleasure of visiting Bouffe twice in the last month, and can hardly wait to go back a third time. Food is consistently extraordinary, service is top tier, cocktails are divine, and the atmosphere is unparalleled. Perfect spot for an intimate night out or a celebration meal. They were so attentive to our large party and really went above and beyond all of our expectations.

HUGE thank you to Chef Adjey and the entire kitchen staff - the care you put into your work is not going unnoticed. If I could give you all 12 stars, I would.

This is gonna hurt. This has to be the most underwhelming dining experience I've had the misfortune of enduring in this city at an eye-watering price point. This 'modern french kitchen' is wholly inAdjeyquate (sorry, I had to).

My partner and I spent +$300 on the Valentine's day fixed menu with wine pairings, the only thing redeemable was the wine and our server Rebecca. Here begins the slaughter:

We reserved a table and the host tried to seat us at the bar. Had to push back and we're eventually given a cute table. Nice. The Amuse Guele was actually tasty, but then a cavalcade of gaffes followed. The bottle of sparkling we ordered never arrived. The seafood tranche consisted of two (lol) oysters, two shrimps, and two totally passable crab claws. The piece de resistance though was the mussels brimming with sand to the point you could audibly hear the crunch across the table. No hot sauce was lame, but the shallot mignonette and the horse radish were decent, but when the accoutrements are the highlight of a 'tranche' you should be concerned.

What followed was a 'foie gras french toast' that was an insipid puddle of brown mud. Absolutely no richness, flavour, complexity - frankly anything. I've seriously never been so confused by a dish. This is where we kind of stopped trying to pretend anything here was going to be palatable and just enjoyed the comedy of errors.

Next up was the lobster and filet mignon, both dishes came out literally cold. The lobster was lobster, no herbed butter or any accompaniments - though the filet was well cooked but it was just a lump of meat. The au jus was SOUR. How the actual f#$k do you even do that? Is the kitchen tasting the bile they're putting in front of patrons? Anyway, the fries were so crispy, cold, tasteless they reminded me of hickory sticks and they were served with hollandaise? I should be sweating aioli when I leave a french restaurant, in my humble opinion, but that was thankfully the end of this experience.

The bon bons and macarons were kind of insult to injury at this point and we just wanted to GTFO. Anyway, having said this I'm sure I sound fickle, but there is so much good French food in the city that frankly this place needs do some soul searching and really reconsider their entire menu and price point.

We're spoiled by amazing French food in this city (Union and Le Phenix RIP are local favs), please do not subject yourself to this vapid excuse for cuisine.

I reserved a space at another restaurant around the corner called Season 6 and let them know it was for an anniversary. Upon arrival they tried to tell us that they would only be able to seat us at the bar and were treated horribly. They literally tried to play it off as that this was a normal situation and that we should have specified that we wanted an actual table.who on earth reserves a spot at the bar!
Anyway we took a walk around the corner and found this place. The staff were so incredibly nice and accommodating and the food was excellent. The lobster croquet was so tasty and filled with lobster. I don't drink myself but my girlfriend loved the cocktails as well. It was a very nice dinner and the chef came out and spoke to our table and a few others. I have nothing but nice things to say about our experience especially since our original plans went to hell. I never write reviews but chose to because of the great experience after what seemed like a bust of a night.

The service was excellent, Ludvic helped us choose our dishes and wine. He made us want to go back to Paris. The duck deux fois was really delicious. Excellent service and good food!

We decided to give this place a try the day after Valentine's and it was definitely an experience. When we reserved online there was an option for a Valentine course menu but we found out afterwards that wasn't the case, I guess they just didn't update the site in time?
The service was very slow, it took a while for us to get our order in and longer for the actual food to arrive. However our servers were very nice and it was probably busy/understaffed that day.
Food was good though we had a few issues. We got the oysters to share, they were nice and fresh. I got the steak tartare and unfortunately they forgot the quail egg so it was dry. I also ordered the steak frites which was really delayed due to a mix-up in the kitchen but it turned out delicious. We were given the creme brulee to make up for the wait, honestly some of the best we've ever had.
If it was just the food, although pricey, this place would definitely be 5 stars!

This is the most friendly restaurant! They let us stay and chat from 6pm to closing… we had such a good time with nice food and drinks

I go here about once a month for a date. It's a lovely place with great food. The point of excellence is the service. Thank you Matty, the bartender, for a great dining at the bar experience. He suggested all kinds of things to try, which we did almost all of his suggestions (happier for it), and his friendliness and enthusiasm was infectious.

The menu changes regularly and is a mix of creative and classic. Great selection, wonderful dishes and amazing presentation/execution.

My partner and I went here a week ago (09/09/22) for dinner and it was absolutely amazing. We ordered the oysters, lobster croquette, steak tartar, and the swordfish. All of which was delicious, especially with the champagne cocktails we had. The service was incredible, the waitress the bartender were both very friendly and funny, which added to the experience. At the end of the meal the Chef even came to thank us for visiting. Will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful late night meal at Bouffe - spoiled with the lobster croquettes, steak tartare, duck confit poutine, Bouillabaisse, and duck two ways. Everything was delicious. Chef ws very attentive coming out to discuss the food. Amazing service and food!

Overpriced for basic food (certainly not high end or worthy of the prices) and disorganized service. Restaurant smelled like mould. DO NOT TRUST IF YOU HAVE A FOOD RESTRICTION, ALLERGY, ETC.

We went there and waited 45 minutes for out appetizer. We ordered the charcuterie board and they came with only blue cheese selection which I absolutely repulse and do not eat. Just the look at it wants to make me gag. They didn’t had any other selection of alternative option of cheese beside bre and do not like it. I was looking for an amazing selection of cheese and end up with the worse cheese ever for me. I was super disappointed and didn’t eat at all the charcuterie board or my main meal.

PS: So I was so upset that I left my best friend eating the rest alone because I could see the fumes coming out of my head. But celebrity chef came and spoke to my friend for 15 minutes and compensate the entire meal. The young chef was upset as well and took it very personal. It’s all good just give some amazing cheese selection to have a better experience, because nothing compares to a good charcuterie board with good cheese in my book, not to only have a selection of mold cheese which the majority of the population do not eat. I however recommend with the way the staff rectify this issue.
