This is the best “all-round” activity for any 5 year ild. The little guy loves it and is dedicated to conquering all rock-walls, strengthening all if him. He now goes once a week and the staff are amazing in safety and hospitality as well as giving helpful instructions without even asking. It even has a food counter and sitting area to take a break in, or wait for the kids (or spouse)
Washrooms are spotless and hygiene.
Lots of different challenges for all ages.
Just a great place.
24 December 2023 10:39
The gym has more than enough routes for bouldering, competition bouldering, top ropes and lead rope. They also have a training area which satisfies both modern and old school climbing. The -1 star part is that they are often short-staffed. They are all professional but you may expect a long queue.
12 August 2023 3:53
This is my favourite climbing gym in the GTA there are so many routes: bouldering, top rope and auto belays I am never bored! Friendly people and lots of variety of ages in the folks who climb.
Nice easy going environment

And easy parking.
05 August 2023 23:53
Kids of all ages and adults of all fitness levels. The staff were very friendly, the food was good and the kids had a blast for 4 hours!
03 August 2023 15:20
Came with my 4 1/2yr old! The staff member who helped me was amazing and explained the entire process (first time bouldering) my daughter loved the experience (we went later in evening and during week and so there wasn’t much kids or people) a perfect place! Will definitely be back)
11 July 2023 14:24
For the past couple months, the grading has been really inconsistent. The gym itself is fine though.
27 June 2023 5:21
The place itself could use more auto belays. Staff are friendly. The sign in system is kind of a hassle
15 May 2023 15:26
Meh, been to over 50 climbing gyms around the world and this one is by far my least favourite one.

Came here for a friend’s screening of his climbing documentary and checked in at the front desk. We asked a couple of questions to the staff and all three of them were completely clueless and had no idea when the event starts and where it would be held at the gym. It’s as if they don’t communicate with each other. The staff served “minimum wage, minimum service” vibes. Not friendly at all. Also, they never took the time to tell us where the lockers and washrooms were. Just basic orientation was lacking.

MANAGEMENT PLEASE TAKE NOTE. Some of the non-climber parents were not watching their kids running around the mats and they all gathered in a corner to have their coffee chats. It’s extremely frustrating when I have to be the person to tell the kids to be careful. WHERE ARE THE STAFF? Y’all need to have at least two people on the floors at all times. I paid to climb, I didn’t pay to watch the kids and get into an argument with parents who know nothing about safety and climbing etiquette. IT’S NOT A DAYCARE.

Slab wall was fun, not all climbs were consistent in terms of grading. Some V5s had weird sequence, some moves on certain climbs didn’t make sense. Holds were dirty which I don’t mind, I actually like them.

Some Bonuses: Kilterboard, crack climbing wall and treadwall.

Safe to say, I won’t be back due to the bad experience.
29 April 2023 20:14
Space in abundance, should probably retest peoples lead/top rope certs annually tbh but fun spot
21 February 2023 2:53
Had lots of great beginner and advanced climbing options but the kids zone was steller. Make sure to climb the pizza slices!
08 February 2023 14:49
Best climbing gym in the city - so big with a great variety of climbing styles. Worth driving further for this gym.
02 February 2023 23:25
Really impressive facility, it's huge. The staff seem cool so far. If you want a really wide variety of problems to work on, this is your place. The changing rooms and washrooms are clean, and there are lockers that your can bring a lock for.
19 January 2023 14:15
Probably the best gym all around, it has a bit of everything, boulders, rope, gym, training, kilter, moon.

Routes are reset often, and it has alot of new problems, this gym has something for everyone from beginners to experts, rooms and areas for kids and parties.

Seems like this gym listens to its customers/members, and re-investes into the gym.
14 January 2023 10:26
I love boulderz, great staff, amazing facilities. Not impressed with the youth rate. Only Kids under 5 get a reduced rate. Was hoping to share climbing with more youth but at $25 per entry that simply is unaffordable.
01 January 2023 8:54
Not much that needs to be said about this place; it's pretty great. Lots of routes that change fairly frequently, bouldering, top roping, traversing and a training area. Highly recommended, which is why we're monthly members!
09 December 2022 18:28
Routesetting is a great mix of old-school and comp so there’s stuff for everyone. Rope routes are incredibly fun, but maybe graded a little soft. The training area is my favourite part as they have both the Kilter and Moonboard 2019. There is also a great selection of hangboards and campus boards.
25 November 2022 13:53
Had my daughter 9th birthday there. The whole experience was nice foe kids and their parents.
17 October 2022 3:24
Probably one of the best gyms that I visited in the evening on the weekend. It was empty and had a variety of skilled climbs. They have top rope, auto belays and Bouldering. Also have a cute kids section for the kids to climb and slide down.
11 October 2022 15:43
Great climbing center, plenty of walls for all types. Staff are friendly and very covid safe.
01 August 2022 15:08
My favourite climbing gym I’ve ever been to. Huge space and great setting. Best part about this place is the amazing staff all of them are wonderful! See you all again soon!
18 July 2022 19:04
Melissa was very accommodating. She helped me organize my company's event, and I would recommend this gym to anyone who's planning an event.
16 July 2022 6:17
Fantastic space and phenomenal staff! My kids love it here and the management, camps and instructors are second to none! Money and time here is always well spent!
07 July 2022 16:44
Great way to challenge your muscles- there is a wide range of climbs for various difficulty levels. It's not only fun to climb but also watch people take on difficult climbs- super impressive. The gym has a very welcoming atmosphere. Shoes and harness can be rented out with the day pass for about $35 and you can extend this pass to a 2 week pass for another $4ish.
12 June 2022 23:39
Great gym, has climbs for all skill levels, usually a bit harder for the same rated climb as other places. Very spacious and has lots of varied types of climbs.
25 May 2022 23:00
I took my 5 year old son here. He had a blast and I had a blast watching him! Fun kids section, along with plenty high walls for kids to climb! He got the hang of using the automatic pulleys within minutes.

The place is clean, well-kept and they change the patterns regularly. Friendly staff too. We got a good training session when we got there. Highly recommend this place!
02 May 2022 8:39
A great experience! A workout to remember and definitely a must try for everyone. Shall visit this place again!
30 April 2022 6:45
Great place, if I would live in Toronto, that would be definitely my gym. I tried 3 different gyms there and they were pricier and smaller.
29 April 2022 1:04
This place is awesome! Good selection of walls to climb, well kept, often good people around. The staff are welcoming and very helpful in teaching you how to use the equipment. The price was good for a one time visit which includes shoes and harness. There's also a good selection of protein bars and drinks too.
16 April 2022 4:10
Lots of bouldering and some ropes. Great training area in the back and a great comp bouldering wall on the right. Kids area is great for those under 8. Setting is average and more commercial than comp style. Regardless you can always find 3-4 good climbs since there are so many boulders. Owners are fantastic.
11 April 2022 6:45
Nice facility with insufficient number of staffs. I felt unsafe with childen running around and climbing/bouldering unsafely with no proper supervision.
08 April 2022 7:55
Came here on the weekend and it was not a pleasant experience due to the staff. The older man, wearing a boulderz vest with supervisor written on the back was very short tempered with me and shaking his head and mumbling under his breath at me. I asked for size 7 street shoes, they were too small - I asked for a size up. He had forgotten about me. I had been waiting for it after he had served other people then I asked for them again and then he gave me a size 7 in rockclimbing shoes…. And then I mentioned that the size 7 street shoe size was too small… (how in the world could I fit in these which are smaller) and I needed a size up. Every time I asked for help, he ughhhh at me and shook his head. It’s not my fault you didn’t remember the first time. I’m not looking to get blisters.
Also, the front staff use the same washroom as the customers. The person peed on the seat and I went in and immediately left the washroom… then I saw them at the front doing check ins and out. Oh my…. It was just so embarrassing catching a staff not being able to pee properly and then being served by them. Will not return here again.
29 March 2022 20:57
Good place to go if you strategically pick your time to visit, especially with kids. Can get a bit busy given its a smaller centre but people are cool and always looking out for one another.
19 February 2022 15:03
Amazing facility! Lots to do for the kids. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable we had the pleasure of dealing with Ian he did a great job getting my kids comfortable. When you compare the price to a visit to the movies or anything else in Toronto you get value for money.
26 November 2021 6:20
Great spot for fun and exercise. We were beginners with young children and there was no problem. The staff gave us the appropriate training and everyone had a lot of fun.
18 November 2021 13:20
Good gym, had the potential to be 5 star. But I felt that for such a big facility, there could have been more problems. The walls were sparsely set when there was clearly room for much more holds and they could have easily used the real estate to double or even triple the amount of available problems. Not sure if this is a covid protocol or a temporary thing but for a $23 day pass, I expect more problems.
03 October 2021 9:37
My go to climbing gym in the city. Staff is very friendly, the facility is large and clean. Very open to beginner and advanced climbers.
24 December 2020 1:03
Always loved Boulderz! Love it even more now as they're the only climbing gym around without time restrictions and time limits. Full covid precautions are in effect
06 December 2020 5:44
I consider myself very lucky to live so close to such a large high quality climbing gym. They have a huge bouldering area and top rope area that has auto belays. If you're into climbing and in Toronto, I would highly suggest checking it out.
26 April 2020 4:54
Lots of routes for all levels. Super fun chill vibe. Great place to climb with like minded enthusiasts.
13 April 2020 16:15
The best thing about this gym is it has a kid sectoon. Holds are older (or just really dirty and need a cleaning?) but it's got alot of space and climbs. Speed climbing is fun as I had never gotten to do that before. Staff are just ok. Not extremely friendly

Major complaint is the ropes are very stiff and they don't have a student deal
03 April 2020 9:53
This place is awesome! Good selection of walls to climb, well kept, often good people around. The staff are welcoming and very helpful in teaching you how to use the equipment. The price was good for a one time visit which includes shoes and harness but monthly membership is a bit pricey. There's also a good selection of protein bars and drinks.
20 March 2020 2:10
Friendly staff and a great selection of boulder problems and routes. With a solid training area with campus, moon and hang boards, all you really need is right here.
17 March 2020 23:12
Spacious area. Lots of problems to solve and the unmarked ones were fun to do! They have a moonboard, climbing treadmill, and gym.

FYI bathrooms are unisex. They should have a sign there.was standing around confused if I had walked into the wrong one or not.

Try playing foosball after a climbing session with a friend. It's hilarious and frustrating
16 March 2020 9:35
As nice as the facility is, I'm extremely unhappy with Boulderz' service. I signed up for a two-week trial membership but didn't get a chance to take advantage of it because I got very sick a few days after signing up. After a few phone calls and emails, their staff refused to help in any way. Even management only suggested to sign up for yet another month-long membership, as if that rectifies the fact that I paid for nothing. Their policies seem to be too strict, inconsiderate and frankly, greedy. For this reason, I will not be visiting Boulderz again.
16 March 2020 5:40
One of the best climbing gyms in the city! Spacious, tons of bouldering problems, and they have a cafe with coffee, espresso, made in house sandwiches, snacks and baked goods. The only issue is when it’s busy, it can be difficult to find parking.
15 March 2020 9:32
Great facility, although the amount of cash grabs is a bit much. I’ve been a member for two years, and had to renew my membership after my annual (pre-paid) expired. I was charged a $30 “unavoidable admin fee” for the privilege to enter my credit card information on an iPad terminal. A bit of a slap in the face to be charged to renew a membership on contract as a loyal customer.
11 March 2020 14:47
Juat started going here.

Lota of climbing options for all skillz. People all friendly.

Only con is it is expensive but there are cheap intro offers.
13 February 2020 22:47
I love this place.amazing, friendly staff, lots of fun, great for kids. This is a nice place to go on the weekend
29 January 2020 19:31
My kids love boulderz, we hadn't been in a while. Came over the holidays was very disappointed with the new pricing. Way too expensive for children, and no family pass options. Will not be coming back.
06 January 2020 20:03
A great rock climbing gym in the heart of Etobicoke. I appreciate their effort in keeping the bouldering sections updated and constantly fresh. Clean and well-kept. As someone who took the personal training from Brandon, I appreciate the attention to detail that is given during the paid group sessions.

The only major improvement I'd suggest is for the staff to be friendlier when entering or speaking at the front desk. This is the first point of contact for visitors, and I've found, personally, that some of the staff are unfriendly and even cold when asked questions.
30 December 2019 22:25
A lot of the holds were dirty and shiny. I kept slipping off a lot of the climbs. This made me climb less than I should've. The holds need to be cleaned more frequently. I don't wanna have to clean holds at every climb. Probably not going back again. Day pass is also expensive.
04 December 2019 1:54
Great place for a few hours of fun and exercise for adults and kids. We have also hosted a birthday party for our kids here- the experience was great- very organized staff to help out. You can bring in your own food, which I like. Reasonably priced in comparison with other indoor facilities for kids birthday parties. Also, the first 90 minutes and the last 90 minutes of the day are half price which is awesome!
30 November 2019 9:34
I went bouldering here during the day on a Saturday. There were very few people here. I wish I was with someone who could lead belay because the features on lead looked really fun. They had some really cool problems and if I remember correctly a treadmill for climbing. Probably an easy way to burn all your skin off your hands but looked fun.
06 November 2019 22:28
Brought my six-year-old son to go climbing here. We had a great time together. Definitely a great place to go.
30 September 2019 15:27
A group of us signed up for the 2 week bouldering pass and it was great. They change the routes/problems often enough to keep it interesting and the facility is quite large.
27 September 2019 0:32
Awesome place for kids and adults. Our kid loves going to this place. Staff is very attentive and helpful.
We booked and had a great birthday party at Boulderz. Staff was very accommodating and helpful with setup. They also took care of the kids and helped them with multiple activities available at this facility.
15 August 2019 2:59
Nice climbing center with very great staff. Very knowledgeable and supportive instuctors. Great facilities for different levels of climbing skills. Children had lots of fun today. Amazing place for family activities.
07 August 2019 17:56
I've been climbing at this gym for 4 months now. Routes are updated consistently, place is clean and has a lot of friendly staff and experience climbers. Top rope/lead section is great, bouldering here is amazing. Check it out, you won't be disappointed.
16 July 2019 7:59
TL;DR: Dirtiest holds we’ve ever seen, facilities were neglected, and staff stood around doing nothing; not worth the $25 fee. Would not come again.
.
.
.

My partner and I had previously been to the DuPont location and were expecting a big new gym with nice walls and good climbs. This was, unfortunately, not the experience we had. First of all, the drop-in fee was $25 each (incl tax). This didn’t bother us too much at first, as we were expecting the gym to be pretty sweet.
When we started climbing, however, we noticed that some of the holds were pretty slippery. Then as we continued climbing; we realized that the majority of the holds were caked with rubber, and didn’t seem like they had been cleaned in a year. They were so dirty that the top half was totally black and shiny (see photos). These were definitely the dirtiest holds we had ever seen in a climbing gym. Also, we noticed multiple times that some of the staff were just standing behind the front desk on their phones or chatting. While this would be fine if the gym wasn’t busy, this was on a Saturday afternoon. The place was packed. To top it off, there were children running everywhere, often times with no supervision. My partner almost fell on one who had run beneath him while he was climbing. This could’ve been avoided if the staff who were just chilling behind the front desk patrolled the perimeter of the gym. Furthermore, the bathroom had no paper towel and so there was a line of 5 people for the hand dryer. Would have been nice if that was taken care of, especially since their staff were just standing around doing nothing.
On a positive note, the route setting was pretty good, albeit graded a little on the hard side.
After today, we won’t be coming back here to climb, nor will we recommend it to friends, as there are better gyms only a 10 minute drive away.
27 June 2019 23:43
There is a big focus on bouldering here and the climbing walls are relatively low. The place is kept clean and the staff are excellent.
14 June 2019 2:42
Always come here to climb with friends. They change the climbing set up on the walls often and make sure facilities are clean.
05 June 2019 8:37
I’ve been to the Etobicoke and Junction location with kids just under 4 and I can say both locations have their advantages and challenges. For both locations, the kids didn’t feel comfortable with the harnesses so we only did the free climb areas.

Junction - The area is much smaller compared to Etobicoke and if you have a toddler that tends to run off and you need to chase them, it can be a bit crowded and dangerous because adults and kids are climbing everywhere near the kid’s area. However, the level of difficulty is very low for their kid’s area. My toddler had no problem and did not need assistance with climbing up and sliding down (a small slide with a bit of a drop). There are cubbies to hold your stuff with no cost.

Etobicoke - A large area with high ceilings and a bench area for resting nearby in the kid’s area. It was really spacious and it felt less crowded/claustrophobic. They have marked off waiting lines so kids aren’t close enough to get hurt if another child falls. If your kid tends to run off, you have enough space to catch them before they reach the larger adult areas. The level of difficulty is higher at this location. My toddler asked for assistance the whole time but I think with practice, she won’t need it. The slide is much bigger. Lockers are a dollar (each time you open it, you have to pay a dollar to lock it again).

Both locations - Awesome and patient staff who were very welcoming and my toddler LOVED both locations, like, “stayed for three hours” kind of love. Also, give yourself an extra bit of time to sign waivers for everyone. Even the baby I was carrying had to get one. The smallest we got for climbing shoes was a size 8 at both locations. My kid is a size 7-8 and they fit great.

I hope this helps any parents deciding on an activity or which location to start with their little one. My little one keeps asking me when we’ll go again. My review above is reflective of my experience so others may feel differently.
05 June 2019 7:54
Awesome set up for small kids and adults alike. Even when is packed, you are never waiting in a line to keep bouldering. It's a massive place full of challenging areas. They have a party room for events, and it looks like the staff is very knowledgeable and love the sport.

We got a monthly pass and we go almost everyday after school. He loves it and it's empty around that time.
18 May 2019 15:08
Nice climbing facilities. This is a huge airy indoor climbing and bouldering club. It's well maintained, doesn't stink like a gym, and they change things up on a regular basis.
13 May 2019 11:12
Great place. They have some regular weight training equipment as well including a barbell. Getting a membership is the way to go here. Sign up for the first timers program.
10 May 2019 19:49
Large complex with plenty of bouldering. They also have bigger walls for top rope and lead, an additional bouldering comp wall, a moon board in their training area as well as a weight section for those who love to pump iron and get swole af. Y’all gotta go here!
02 May 2019 10:03
Awesome, outgoing staff! Super kind and attentive, had so much fun at my belay lesson because the staff members were so nice and funny. Bathrooms and changerooms are really clean too! The prices are awesome, most affordable I could find in the city.

In terms of climbing, great range of levels for both bouldering and belay climbing, it really is a great place for beginners or experts! Some holds on the traverse wall and certain belay walls are too worn, but for the most part the holds are in great condition.

Love this place!
22 April 2019 4:37
One of my fave places to top rope in the city. Huge open space. Lots of routes to choose from, many solely for lead climbing. A great feature is the kids area, which has lots of fun routes, even older kids looking for a challenge, but also keeps the rest of the gym a little safer when you don't have as many excited kids running underneath climbers. Great bouldering, too.
06 April 2019 1:54
The place is great, staff teaches you everything if it's your first time. Wide audience from families with little to pros. Plus you get the whole day so it's honestly a bargain. Highly recommended
23 March 2019 4:38
Great climbing gym. Lots of routes with a good variety of styles. Nearly every route has quickdraws for lead climbing, and there's tons of bouldering problems. Lots of space, so even when it's busy, it's not too crowded. Staff are fantastic. Brandon did my lead climbing course and he was awesome.
19 March 2019 6:55
A wonderful place to spend the evening getting some great exercise in! The trainers are wonderful just be very careful and make sure you watch your children if you do bring them here. Rock climbing can be very dangerous if you don't follow the rules. One thing I would say is that they probably should have a children only area. Having children swing into you well you're trying to climb could be pretty annoying. They have lockers for a dollar here so a pretty good deal to keep your things safe.it may be a little bit pricey from what most people would consider a night out.
24 February 2019 7:50
What a great time! Although there’s quite a good variety of climbing walls, It’d be good if they’d add a few more mid-range puzzles (5.8-5.9). It’s awesome that they’ve added air conditioning, that’ll make the summer months much more enjoyable.
16 February 2019 18:37
Not enough walls and quite pricey for a blundering place. Maybe worth it during cheap hours but 28 dollars to be avoiding children racing around a total of 3 large walls doesn't seem worth it to me.
