Excellent chili nachos. Had a wonderful IPA. Named after a city in the middle East. Wish I could remember what it was called. They don't seem to have their menu online. Weblink is broken.

Pleasantly surprised by the food! We were looking for regular pub type of food after a long day of traveling, and we got that, but the food tasted very upscale.

One of my favorite pubs in Ottawa, very excellent food for a very reasonable price, great reliable service, and a pleasant cozy atmosphere.

I always have good experiences here, consistently delicious food at a great value, and served fast.

But in 2023, something has gone wrong with the nachoes. The cheese is wrong. Repeatedly. Used to my favourite place.

Bowman's is where quality shines. It's a laid back, relaxed pub with a small menu of pub classics. But this place is definitely a matter of quality over quantity. Everything they have they do exceedingly well. They offer specials in addition to their menu items, as well as different desserts.
The staff are fantastic. They always greet you like you're an old friend and their attentive service makes you feel like you're important to them.
The bathrooms are small but are always clean and well stocked.
I highly recommend their Bowman burger and their dill-icious pickle chips (starter).

Popped by there on a Sunday night in Ottawa. It was quiet as a Sunday is, the server was really nice, the fish tacos were delicious (corn tortillas! Hooray!) and the beer list was great. Patio was cute with warm string lights overhead. We were staying at the hotel a few steps away and I definitely liked the place and would go again.

Low key and quality food.

Easy-going pub with good food and beer selection. Staff is always super with our kids, they make the whole family feel welcome.

This a nice understated bar on Carling. There is parking available on site but I do imagine that it gets busy on wing night.

We were 3x in our party. The service was prompt, the beer selection excellent.

We had the fish n chip, pulled pork and a kids chicken finger meal. Solid pub fare with some bits of fancy. The food was really delicious. I was impressed with the chicken fingers being made from scratch.

All in all recommend and will be back.

I've been driving by this place for years and finally had the opportunity to try it out. Food was very tasty indeed and I was fairly impressed with my first visit.

Great ol tunes, the cheese natchos reminded me of the old school ones we had a few decades ago. Delicious.

Their “familiar food done well” slogan is exactly right - had one of the best grill cheese sandwiches ever. Server was super nice and made a great local beer recommendation. Happy and satiated on a warm Ottawa night - so happy I found this place!

The service was quite good and it has a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. I found their beer selection good. The food, however, was your usual greasy pub food, with adequate portions. It's a pleasant neighborhood pub.

Nachos fully loaded were great. Best I've had in a long time.
Many local beer on tap. Even a great cider.

We had nachos and drinks. Everything was great. The server, who was super kind, brought me free churros for my birthday.

Visited a few times in the last 5-6 months and was always treated like a "king"! The food and service were very good. Will definitely return.

First, I am writing this after asking several people if I was in the wrong. Apparently I am not. The place seems okay from the outside and the food seems good in the pictures, things I won't be able to confirm given that I was kicked out because"they open at 4: 00" and I was there at 3: 51 (yes, 9 minutes early). Oh, but the outdoor lights, tv and sound were on and the door was open! You could have handled me a menu or offered me to take a seat outside while waiting at least, no? Ended up eating at home, healthier and without spending a cent, so at least I have to thank you for that.

Food is always great as is the drink selection. Servive is excellent, especially when the friendly and helpful owner is there, and the patrons are a good crowd. Try the fried chicken sandwich.

Craving Satisfied! It's been awhile that I've been craving for nachos! And thanks to my dear husband he found this restaurant! The nachos is the best So fully loaded. Highly recommend it and if you want to try tacos there's a lot of flavors you can try on. I order pulled-pork and it was good. Thumbs up
