Staff are pretty helpful.went in for colour matching paint. The girl did a great job. Spot on colour match.

Friendly staff a wonderful lady told me my husband that they don't carry a certain product but they did call another home hardware to find the product we did have to go to Newcastle for it though I wish Bowmanville would carry it the product I wish they would carry "that stuff for pain"

The cashier was very pleasant and helpful in my quest. Always find some excellent buys there. Thank you

Went here a few weeks ago poor service the staff didn’t offer any help and when asked to help they showed attitude will not be coming back.

Will say its ok because I'm not sure its their fault. I haven't received my order that is much later than estimated.

Called to speak with someone about cabinets. Put on hold for 10 minutes, someone then picks up and then just hangs up. Guess I'll take my 7 to 8 grand some where else

Went this morning to have a garage key cut. Was told I would probably need to see a Lock Smith because they couldn't match the key. I ask if they knew of anywhere in Bowmanville that I could try. No was their answer.
My husband took the key to Home Hardware in Newcastle, no problem. Got two keys done.

I’ve been to this Home Hardware a few times and haven’t been satisfied with the level of service.

The staff members are not knowledgeable, and would rather tell you to go look for items yourself then help you find what you’re looking for.

They come off as borderline rude, they don’t seem to really care about helping customers. I really wanted to support this small business, but I’d rather give my money to a business that actually treats me like a valued customer.

The staff members also lack diversity. Sure it’s a small town but they certainly don’t reflect the level of diversity in the current population of Bowmanville. Do better Home Hardware.

I won’t be going back. Would NOT recommend at all.

I wanna give a big shout out to home hardware in bowmanville. Not only was the whole team awesome from phone call to pick up, they went out of their way to give me a chair to sit in while I waited outside to pay because my knee was hurting really bad. Excellent customer service.
Also they were about $600 cheaper than everywhere else I priced and I got my order within 3 hours from the time I placed it.

Rude & disrespectful "superior" closed the door in my face, after I pointed out her double standards and customer favoritism when I witnessed her taking back a product from another customer and wouldn't offer me the same courtesy less than an hour afterwards. Horrible double standards. There are no postings about a return and exchange policy at all yet they want to enforce it, whatever that means for them. I suppose it's dependant on which customer is standing at the door at any given time.

Called due to covid, nobody answered 5 times.came to the door, told me to call.called another 3 times, nobody answered. I know these guys are busy, but they were also a waste of my time.

Terrible terrible terrible phone system for curbside pickup. Oshawa you can just go and pick up. But this place I have to wait on hold for 25 mins for nothing. You are all useless seriously figure it out.

Hours on the website as well as the confirmation email are not accurate. Drove from Oshawa to Bowmanville before 5 on a Saturday as my confirmation email says they are opened till 5, and I checked the website hours and they say the store closes at 5pm as well. Store hours show only till 4pm. Very frustrating!

I would choose another store to find any hardware product you would be looking for, the staff is lazy and take their time to help you if they do at all, a phone in to ask if something is in stock is ridiculous, none of my calls were answered. The inventory they do carry is extremely small as is the store and they plan a larger store? I will oppose this at any council meetings planned.

Great hardware and close to home, but they close at 5pm daily which is useless to me most days!

Placed an order over phone. Discovered on my way i need an additional small item. Picked up ordered item and mentioned-the extra item but was told it has to be called in. They say walkups welcome. So treat the additional item as walk up. I could have walked 2 ft to grab the item. Guess covid is an excuse now for impatience. Got item across street from dollar store. Its disappointing to see supporting smaller hardware stores meets such a low level of service

Well I got the run around when I went to pick up my parcel so I was not impressed however in the end I got a free reusable bag.

You can get what you need with a personal touch. Very helpful staff, we were looking for information, to see the colour of roofing they sold, but didn't have open bundles of, they sent us where we needed to go to see the tiles displayed.

Has the feeling of a smaller hardware store which is good. This location also sells wood and building supplies. Good friendly small town staff I like it.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Bowmanville Home Hardware today. We are building a fence and fence boards are in VERY short supply right now. We have been told by other Big Box stores that because they are in short supply that they don't need to help pick, load or deliver the order. Home Hardware in Bowmanville not only had the limited supplies in stock, but very effectively and efficiently loaded them in our trailer. The young men in the back Riley and (?) Trent were extremely polite, fast and helpful (their parents should be proud). I didn't have any cash to tip them, so I asked what time they took lunch and ordered them pizza instead. Great small town service! I'll be bypassing the big box stores going forward and heading straight for our little Bowmanville Home Hardware

Very helpful at this location. Definitely has a "small town, everybody helps everybody" type of vibe. They didn't have exactly what the contractor at my house wanted and they were nice enough to send me home with samples and information to get the proper materials.

This is a great hotel. Staff aren't very welcoming when you try to sleep though. 3/10 would definitely recommend.
