Horrible company they will charge you a arm and a leg for a move/storage than they will send workers to your home that will break items damage your floor and walls and more management doesn’t care about anything as long as the 2 owners paid. While your items are in storage they will be used and abused without your knowledge. This company needs new owners. Don’t recommend. MTO needs to check the yard because none of the trucks/trailer are road worthy. Watch the third video tell how that is safe protocol to tell employees to do

If meeting a professional moving company to clear customs (you made an international move into Ottawa, say from the US), this is one of the places they dock into, then hand you the customs paperwork to go clear customs near Ottawa airport (cargo services). This procedure could change every year but worked at time of this writing. Parking lots are a bit sparse with available but there. Best park in a lot so that the driver you are meeting can find you or you can find them. Have the driver's contact info handy to avoid asking anyone else you meet (as they just might not know). 4 stars for available parking, just 1 star taken off because finding where to park safely among several large 65-foot trucks took some work. Signage will help greatly with this. Overall, a good safe experience nonetheless.

We were very happy with BOYD's work during our moving in. They were very professional, friendly, organized, and had a very good team work. They worked well and fast, and in the same day they delivered, opened boxes, and assembled furniture. The house was not a mess and stayed cleaned as well. Kuddo to this team particularly: Steph, Andree, Cole and Chris.

I have moved across the country over the years for work and since the May 2022 storm I have moved three additional times with Boyd Moving while our home was reconstructed.

During all my moves over 25 years, I have never seen a company as professional, well prepared and genuinely care about their clients like Boyd Moving. The staff went well and beyond to ensure our needs were met. Highly recommend them and will use them again for our next move!

It was a real pleasure to see them in my house to prepare my moving. They know their job, work hard and have never hesitated to ask me if all was good for me.

Too politically correct. Requirement for double vax? Really? It’s keeps absolutely NO ONE safe. It doesn’t protect transmission or attraction! Yet it violate any medicai and personal rights! Not to mention medical privacy

Just moved from Ottawa to Brockville. I chose Boyd Moving & Storage because of the quick initial response, the friendly & profession assistants from my moving agent. She talked me thru everything. When the big day came, I was stressed out & ready to get it done & over with (like most other people I imagine). The crew came on time, & they got right down to business. They were quick & efficient & made me giggle more than once, totally putting me at ease. There were a few bumps in the road (unforeseen challenges) but thru it all they were still professional, fast & efficient. And their humour never wavered. All in all, they got it done in 8 hours! So thanks to Kelly & the boys for making this move as pleasant & easy as possible. I would highly recommend them to anyone & if I ever have a need again … I know who to call!

From start to finish, my experience at Boyd's Moving and Storage was A+!

I was able to get an evaluation of the cost ahead of time just through a Zoom call. The team quickly put together an inventory list and set-up a moving date.

The move was estimated to take about 6.5 hours, but the team finished everything in less than 3 hours! They were quick, but also but professional and cautious to not damage the furniture or home.

The movers were very polite and they had a great sense of humour.

I highly recommend Boyd's for your moving solution!

I recently moved from Downtown Ottawa to Chelsea. I wanted to use a professional moving company which would provide the complete service without me having to worry about any little details. The experience met all my expectations: I was provided with a moving package which was delivered to my apartment which meant I didn't have to purchase and haul all these boxes to my apartment. The day of the move, the team was on time, they were careful with my stuff and, as a bonus, they went to get my appliances which had already been delivered to their warehouse. A perfect experience for a busy day.

Went there to get my truck and trailer weighted as it was required to switch to ON registrations. The employees were super friendly and professional. Service was quick and everyone had a smile.

My inlaw was moving in with us at our new home. She stayed the night before and when they arrived the next morning there was only 2 people. She was told there would be 3. Once they moved everything in they were rude to her and sarcastic to her while I was not there.they refused to put furniture together and left after 2 hours. I contacted them in regards to a bill as they driver handed a bill over that was for a large amount of money but the bill didn't add up. A few days go by and my inlaw was checking her finances and found that even thoug she had made a payment on the 11th of March for storage they had again charged her another month of storage on April 1st when she was no longer renting storage and on the bill they had charged her for 1 day of storage aswell. I attempted to contact them a few times and each time keep getting an answeing machine. It's sad and seems as though they take advantage of the elderly

We recently moved out of our family home, where we lived for over thirty years. Needless to say this move consisted of a lot of furniture and valuable items. There were five bedrooms worth of furniture to be packed, many common areas, all of our patio furniture, and countless other decorative items. These were more than enough items to fill a large truck two times. There were four movers assigned to our move. They worked tirelessly and efficiently from 9 am until well after midnight, on a cool fall day. The movers were kind, helpful, resourceful, resilient, and extremely pleasant to work with. Led by their powerhouse leader, Eric. They ALL went above and beyond to ensure that our experience went as smooth as possible. Despite running into some conflicts with regards to specific items to move, they adapted to each issue presented to them and were always able to work out a solution that would benefit us. An excellent example of this was when they had to figure out how to disassemble a large outdoor umbrella in the dark in -2 weather, and once they did after it was transported they put it BACK together in the cold, even though it was after midnight. Incredible. They worked over 16 hours on our moving day with minimal breaks and were in such high spirits the entire day!
Our family would highly recommend Boyd Moving for anyone looking to move in the future.

Our company does a lot of work with the local Make-A-Wish office here in Toronto. In late October, the Make-A-Wish team in Toronto asked if we could help relocate items from their Ottawa office back to Toronto. It was a surprise to everyone involved and was a very short notice move. We immediately reached out to our friend’s at Boyd Moving in Ottawa to see if they could help. Ken at Boyd’s was very busy for October month end but he went above and beyond to make sure the effects were removed from the Ottawa office before the October 30 deadline. Preparations were then made by Boyd’s to get the effects delivered to our warehouse here in Toronto so they were available to the Make-A-Wish team as needed. A big thank you to Ken and the whole team at Boyd’s Moving in Ottawa for helping the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Dealing with Kristine for the quote she was knowledgeable and was patient with my questions. The folks that came in for packing were super efficient. The actual move went smoothly and efficiently and no damages those guys know their business and respected social distancing with regards to Covid. My brother was planning on selling his house and moving to an apartment. There are so many things to consider and we needed information on packing, moving and possibly storage.

We dealt with Kelly Sullivan at Boyd Moving and Storage and she did an absolutely super job of explaining the ins and outs of what we should be doing, what costs we could expect and how they could help us.

The initial move date has had to be changed so apart from that very essential information we have not yet actually used Boyd. However, we will definitely be doing so when the move actually takes place next spring.

Very unprofessional attitude from some of the movers. Their boss was great but the loud swearing/language he was promoting wasn’t the greatest impression to leave the neighbours when you’re representing a company. I’ve worked manual labour jobs where if I spoke like that I’d be fired instantly. Red haired woman also was rude to my 69 year old father who had a heart condition. She was constantly running her mouth. No masks worn inside. Packers skipped out early and half of the house wasn’t prepared. Movers were upset about the overtime. Understandable, but the constant attitude about “we’re not waiting. ” Rushing my father etc. Was not appreciated. Still being charged 5000 dollars for this move.

After reading many BBB reviews of horrible moving companies I was resigned to UHauling my goods from Edmonton to Ottawa. At the last minute I was referred to Boyd and within 5 days a moving vehicle and crew showed up to tag and load all my belongings. They were professional and patient as I watched the entire process peppering them with questions. They let me view the entire process to the end where my belongings were ratcheted behind a board keeping my belongings separate from other moves. The tagging process worked well. To customers just an FYI that if you mark anything 'fragile' it will be treated just like any other box so pack whatever it is well or take it in the vehicle with you. Kelly in the office was also very helpful. The price was a hundred dollars less than the quoted price and was about the same as a Uhaul. Overall definitely recommend, pay a little more to get people who are professional.

Awesome guys! They worked with military efficiency, were right on time. One of the movers had some parts in his pocket for my bed by accident, Brandon drove over the parts to me once his shift was done, he did that on his own time. Won't use any other moving companies from now on!

I work here in Ottawa at a small medical non profit. We got slammed with deliveries of PPE, medical equipment and other supplies when COVID started. We were struggling with space and organization. Boyd Moving and Storage jumped in to help us to move some of our stuff to a storage unit. When we discovered just two weeks ago, that we had inadvertently put our passports into storage for 6 months, along with our entire house contents, we were pretty desperate to get our hands on them. We were heading out of the country, and could not leave without them! The wonderful crew at Boyd - from Dave our contact man, to Ken and his crew in the warehouse - diligently searched and FOUND those documents for us! We used Boyd's Storage facility when we experienced delays on a site and they were nothing short of amazing. Great service, awesome communication and very responsive. Dave and Albert went over the top to make sure we were well taken care of. Facilities are clean and accessible. These people care, and it shows!

I was in a jam. Another major company (their initials could spell JAM) left me high and dry after assuring me we were good to go.
Boyd Moving stepped up and provided me with better service at a better price. Their movers were professional and courteous. Can't say enough good about them. Highly recommended.

I found them to be extremely rude.
They showed up outside of the allotted time slot. A bespectacled lady must’ve been having a bad day because she literally shouted at me when I asked them to move their truck of my driveway so I could go to work. Thankfully another more senior mover stepped in to rein her in.

This is no way to deal with your customers.

Boyd handled the second half of our move (from Manitoba to Ontario) and the crew was great! On a sweltering hot day they stayed cheerful and took care of our possessions completely. I would definitely recommend them.
