So what does one do when a neighbours cat is in your backyard, in your fence & gets into your garage.it sets my dog off barking when she sees it in our yard! I have to wait til it leaves to let my dog out.

I called for the random street cat it was kind of sick, they did not pay much attention and just said that Brampton do have a lot many street cats. We can not do anything until its really sick.
I mean it was also not my personal cat and I didn’t see it since I called them for help.

We adopted our puppy from there and they made it so easy to do so. Everyone is very friendly and wants the best for all their animals - I would love to adopt again one day.

My dog broke off his leech and had run away from me and after much searching for him he was lost.the staff at the Brampton Animal Services luckily had found him brought him to their center and because he was chipped they contacted me immediately and even sent an email.within no time I had my puppy back home and couldn't of asked for better more professional service with friendly supper nice staff

We went in to donate bedsheets, pillow cases and a few towels to the shelter. The staff was extremely cordial and helpful. We were unable to see the animals due to viewing restrictions but the rabbits in the rooms were very cute. The staff was very well informed and hopefully they will let volunteers spend time at the shelter soon.

We adopted our rabbit here. We had a great experience from the very beginning. Everyone is very nice, and Jessica in particular is amazing. They care about the animals. I hope all the animals at Brampton Animal Shelter will find their forever home soon. We love our new little guy and am so glad we found him here. Thank you for taking care of him and us through the process. ️

I really wish they allow at least to meet the cat before adopting. I had adopted a kitten there before, and I wanted to adopt a second kitten (mostly for my kitten to have a companion) thinking that she will be outgoing and sweet, as it said in her bio, and I even told the lady who helped me on the phone, and the lady who helped me on adopting her, if she was shy, scared, a good fit for what I was looking for, and they said that she was, but she was the complete opposite from bringing her home. And you can’t even see if she is the right fit, you have to pay upfront from the desk, before seeing her. And I also, feel like the reason she’s shy was because of separation from her sister, who was in the shelter with her, which they told me they could be adopted alone. So I had to surrender her, because she wasn’t the right fit, and that’s not what I was looking for in a kitten, especially for my kitten who is energetic and sweet. Call me picky, but that’s the truth. And now I have a strike, and I don’t know if they will allow me to adopt another kitten, if I wanted to. But I do hope Meredith get adopted, and I wish nothing but the best for her.

I highly appreciate Brampton Animal Shelter and the great people that work there I've had to put a couple of dogs down there they give you a room with a couch blankets you can put on the floor your dog gets a sedative and then you stay until they fall asleep make your peace and they'll go back in and give the final shot. They also the control the stray cat population buy spading the females marking their ear and letting them back out were they were. And of course that's not everything they do.

The staff are very friendly and sympathetic. Also very helpful. Thank you from my family and I for everything

Fantastic staff. They even remembered the name of my cat when I brought him in 4 months later for a visit.

Called about a starving cat/kitten i found in my backyard (who had no collar) in the middle of winter at - 14c weather. Was told to "let it be" aka let it die. Thankfully other charities in Brampton were able to take her in.

Life can take turns, so much uncertainties and heartbreaking. I must thank you to the city and the people working in this shelter. As so many i missed to think about the importance of having place like this for animals. There are many wrong things happening around for these animals. People just mating 2 dogs, making puppies and selling to make money. Those puppies can have so many issues, they can get sick, die or grow with disabilities.whole time the pet suffer and people who own the pet they are also suffering. Some times pet owners comes to a situation to surrender their pets to this place as they can't financially handle the burden (Not everyone can afford $1000.00 for a 1 day hospitalization/if 5 days hospitalized 5000.00.). Imagine what will happen if those struggling animals and pet owners if no such place to help? Pls take a moment and think deeper.heart breaking.

These locations creating better life for so many animals, they take sick animal, treat and rehome them with new life.if we do not have these locations you may see dead cats, homeless dogs in the road. Many people not aware or thought about the necessity of these shelters but this is one place where in our life things went wrong (which we can't go back and correct) at least we can do some good thing to get inner peace.

I wanted to thank the Brampton city for the support to this organization (also, any other animal shelters). Rather having dancing in down town near city hall / putting free movies I prefer my tax money goes to these places. Pls do more funding and make these places to grow and people aware/ if possible arrange some assisting programs for the struggling pet owners/put regulations for those illegal money grabbing breeders who only think about the money not thinking about the pets future. Urge people to think and support whatever possible to these places. I wanted to thank the staff- you guys must be proud and doing good in your life. Those animals sees you as angels, keep up the good work.my heart and support always to you.thank you.

They love all their animals and have good souls for doing their job. They work so well with the people trying to find that fuzzy family member a home. We love our puppy Winston and we are thankful for the staff. God bless them and the work they do.

As an RVT and wildlife rehabilitator I was really shocked by the lack of compassion Brampton Animal Services displayed tonight. Whoever was the grey haired woman was who came to Steeles and McLaughlin tonight for the call about 3 trapped deer needs to be fired. While biking home from work a female deer with 2 fawns ran into steels in RUSH HOUR traffic. Many people almost hit them and they all became stuck in a small fenced in area right in front of Steels, I watched them jump the fence again and try to run onto Steels but thankfully they got spooked and turned around. We were standing on Steels preventing them from running into the highway while we waited for animal services to show up. Once they showed up the woman immediately said we were the reason they were scarred and running into traffic, accusing us of chasing them when in reality we were only standing along the highway so they wouldn’t run the wrong direction. The woman was bitter and rude to us and before we could even state what happened or mention the deer she told us it was our fault and that there was nothing to be done. Awful services.

We were looking to adopt a cat, but we were told to look at the website then make an appointment. We weren't allowed inside at all.

This is a quick progression on my cat Denzel. I adopted him with his brother about 6 weeks ago and they have both come on so well.the girls at the shelter are so friendly and you can tell they care about the animals alot. We got such a great deal too we would love to come back one day and adopt more kitties and help out. I cant recomend adopting enough. It takes time love and patience but me and my girlfriend have given 2 older cats a new chance at life and they are so happy for it

The people working at the shelter are nice enough, but by-law enforcement is nonexistent. They are basically a paper tiger with no ways to inforce anything. So your neighbours owns 8 dogs who barks days and night? Sorry, can’t help you. Your neighbours is running an illegal puppy mill from their house? Sorry, can’t help you. Witness your neighbours punting their dogs across their yard? Sorry can’t help you.

They will however ticket you if you get caught at the local dog park with an experienced dog license. We really expect a lot more from our Animal Services than simply running the most expensive pet shop in town.

Wonderful place to go if you want to cuddle with cute animals for a while (and maybe adopt a friend too)!

I'm very happy with this staff and facility. I'm told it's an older facility, and that it needs and an upgrade for the dogs in the summer time, but I was really pleased with the space provided to the adult cats, and the play places for cats of all ages. All of the cats seem wonderful and socialized and we're all happy to be given some love, and it was really sweet and wonderful to meet the staff who dedicate their time to these animals. My fiance and I were dropping off a collection of blankets for the babies, and of anyone is looking to make donations, blankets are always in need, pill pockets are always in need, metal forks, dog shampoo, and toys are great donation recommendations.

I came here 2 days prior to Christmas to donate about $400 worth of items to donate, we just felt very ignored by the folks at the reception. I will probably be donating to an animal shelter that is in more need of donations and appreciative, next year.

I'm sure the work they do here is amazing, so this review is just my experience with the reception and their customer service skills.

Great staff. Animals are well taken care of. Reasonable prices for adoption! We have two rabbits from this location and love them both (healthy, neutered, just great.)

We unfortunately and forgetfully left our front door unlocked this morning and our dog managed to go out and have a free run all over till someone called animal services. I received a call from Meredith of Animal Services who had arrived and was holding my dog outside my house. Knowing my front door was unlocked, she graciously waited for more than half an hour till I got home and took charge of my pet. We would like to thank Meredith and Animal Services and say that we really really appreciated your help and patience in this situation. Thank you again!

Friendly staff, they will fine you and you will not feel you paying fine for dog runaway in my case

Gryffin had his microchip and registration done here during one of their hosted clinics. It was busy busy busy but the staff did a great job of getting everyone through and were organized and on point.

Insane prices. Between here and the oakville hospital they sent me to after there almost 1k bill. Spent over 3k to have 0 answers about my dog. 22hrs later i was told no hope. He was put down. Will go elsewhere with my future pets

They are awesome here. Staff looks out for the well being of their animals that are being adopted.

I got my current dog Daisy here. She is amazing for us and was taken care of really well here. So well that, 6 months later, when we brought her back, she was incredibly happy to see the vet and the other people. 4/5 because their website is a bit out of date and the volunteering information is extremely inaccurate. Which lead me on a wild goose chase. However, the new upgrades to the building look amazing though! I love it

This place is horrible called as I had an issue with a squirrel that had been poisoned they told me they didn’t have time, also had a sick cat and they wouldn’t allow me to uthenize or surrender there idiots

We always come to this place for the kids to pet cat or dog. Just let them know your intentions.

Please bring a bag of litter or cat food and/or dog food to donate. Animals are our best friends. You would learn from them too.

The reason I gave this place 5 stars is because Mark I think the vet or vet tech actually called to follow up with you.

Even though we didn't get the dog we wanted. I wanted to commend them for following up and letting us know.

Now that's great customer service.
