I am very grateful for the emergency help from this clinic! Thank you for everything you did for our kitten, Charity. When you call & leave a message.if you don't hear back soon, keep calling, and they will answer. Keep in mind they get busy & can take a few min before they get to listen to the messages. Kind & helpful staff, very clean office.

We didn’t end up needing to bring our dog to the emergency clinic, however I wanted to leave a review because the staff we spoke to over the phone were so incredibly compassionate and helpful after a scary incident. They gave honest advice and were so patient in a moment of panic for us. This is the emergency/after hours clinic that our regular vet recommends, and we now feel very comfortable bringing our dog in if ever necessary.

They were great for emergency getting my cats in but I had a traumatic experience when they euthanized my cat. He was trying to pull his leg away and instead of letting me get him settled they continued and it was the worst experience of my life. The male veterinarian there was in a rush. No empathy at all.

Everything you could want from an emergency vet clinic, front desk staff were friendly, reassuring and knowledgeable and once we were checked in the wait time was less than anticipated and the vet that saw us Dr Sarah Martin D. V. M was amazing, listened to the concerns, did a thorough diagnosis and examination and explained everything really well and even provided additional printed information on the issue. Highly recommend this clinic and the staff if you are in need.

I cannot say enough about Dr Keirsten Hanada and the other girls on staff when I was there with my doxie Vienna! They were so kind and compassionate and listened to every single concern we had. They were such a comfort during that difficult time. Because of them Vienna is happy and healthy at home again! I can’t recommend them enough! Thank you ladies!

I called to see the wait on a Saturday, they said it will be 4-6hrs.they were right. Although it took longer than I anticipated, they provided exemplary care to my dog. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and kind. They provided comfort and empathy. I heard good things about them from friends, and hoped I never had to use them.but, when my dog was sick, I knew exactly where to take him

I don’t normally write bad reviews, but I need to do this one to warn other people.
I took my cat there a while ago & they did nothing for my cat. He was sick; wheezing a lot, couldn’t eat or drink water. Was hiding because of how sick he was & I took him to this emergency animal hospital because it was the closest one to me at that time of night. I told the vet that my cat wasn’t eating or drinking & refused because of how sick he was. They did some tests, found nothing. They gave me pills to give him even though he couldn’t eat. They didn’t even offer IV since he wasn’t eating or drinking. Horrible service & so expensive even though they did NOTHING for me. Also when we first got there they took my cats’ temperature & said it was fine & then came back into the room after about 5 minutes & said he actually has a fever & they have to take him & cool him off cause his fever was too high. In the end they said they didn’t know what it could be.
I went to my regular vet the following day & they helped way more than the emergency did. They gave my cat 2 shots of the same medication the emergency gave me that was in pill form. My cat was feeling better a tiny bit later that day. Luckily my cat ended up being ok after seeing my own vet.
I will never be going back to this emergency again. They were useless. They did tests, found nothing & in the end said there was nothing else they could do. The vet, Dr. Sarah, was not sympathetic at all & she had horrible customer service, just rude & obnoxious.

Cant say enough good things about this place. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and polite. They laid our options on the table in a very straight forward and honest way. Compared to some of the other emergency vets we have been to, this was a breathe of fresh air. Highly recommend.

The staff here are fantastic. Their prices are reasonable and I would definitely come back if I had an emergency or urgent situation.

This place is a money grab. Brought my cat here with a claw issue. Was quoted $175 for the appointment. When arrived was told someone would talk to us about cost. They took our cat, brought her back and charged us $500. Nobody talked to us. All they did was cut her nails and a shot of antibiotics. They apologize and said they were “to busy” to come talk to us about cost. Unprofessional and just a money grab. Oh, they did inform us we could surrender our cat if we couldn’t pay. Real classy.

I had to bring my cat in on Saturday for a urinary obstruction. He had to spend the weekend plus Monday and Tuesday night. I had an absolutely amazing experience with every person I dealt with throughout this whole ordeal. Everyone was always so friendly and informative and willing to answer all of my questions. I never felt like a nuisance when I called to check up on my boy. The transfer between my regular clinic and BNVC always went smoothly. I am so thankful to have a local clinic like this to rely on in an emergency.

Orion is home now and as much as we love you guys we hope we don’t have to see you again anytime soon!

We were there for 6.5 hrs. They kept pushing us back for priorities. Our dog was a priority! They didn't do x-rays as he was having spasms. They didn't sedate him when they cleaned his ears because they said the pain medication they gave him earlier would last for 6 hours. Well it was over 6 hours and they didn't care about his pain. They sent us home with medications and told us to follow up with our vet. 4 hours after returning home, our dog was having a full blown seizure. We took him back and ended up having to have him euthanized. All this place cares about is the money.

I got both served an allergic reaction to a dog toy. We rushed in here at 1 in the morning completely swollen face and body. You just want to do happy and Buster Good2Go in no time. Report also and to my fat so they were aware of the situation in the morning

Had to bring my dog there in the middle of the night.
The vet was extremely kind and was very gentle with my dog. My dog struggles with anxiety and is mildly reactive/ aggressive and they handled her so greatly! Thank you

I love their after hours service. They will never make you come.in if it's something they can solve, or assist with until your regular veterinarian is open. Polite. Always answer the ohone quickly.

There aren’t enough words to describe this Emerg clinic. Dr. Blake was the vet we dealt with, she was very clear and precise on our options and what she thought could happen with our cat. After leaving our cat in hospital with them for the weekend, I was just delighted with ALL the staff and how they care for your pet and you. I wouldn’t hesitate to come here ever again or recommend friends and family. So happy I found this emergency clinic. They are hard to come by, especially with caring vets and techs, that you can clearly understand.

I took my dog Buddy in a couple of weeks ago for an emergency, he ended up needing surgery. They took such great care of him and he has recovered perfectly. Thank you guys for fixing my pup and doing such an amazing job

We really needed to see somebody as soon as possible as my dog was running in the backyard slipped and banged against the fence. It was such a devastating moment and my dog was in massive pain. I called this clinc and from start to finish i can honestly say, every member of this team is amazing? The Veterinarian was absolutely phenomenal and we can't thank her enough for her service and friendlly manner. This is the place you want to go for your emergencies. Extremely long wait times when there seems to be not much going on. No cars in parking lot and no other patients in waiting room. I know this is a hospital but I’ve been here 3 times and all have been 2 hours waits even with a pet in pain

From our first call with the clinic to the very end the vet and her team were incredibly kind, sensitive and caring during the distressing event of having to lay our cat to rest. I am so grateful for peaceful setting where we were comfortably able to our goodbyes. I can't thank this clinic enough <3

Excellent and compassionate care by the reception and staff, when my rescue cat needed to spend the night and next day after an emergency (life saving) surgery from another local vet that had no overnight staff. They took great care of my little friend, and she is now home resting and recovering very well. Thank-You to all of the lovely, caring staff.

I would like to comment on an experience we had at a very difficult time. Our cat fell ill overnight and we made every attempt to get him to a vet in our home town but there was no space for him. We contacted brant-norfolk vet clinic because they were open 24 hours and they were able to see him.
The difficult part was that we had to put our boy down. It was one of the hardest desions my husband and I had ever made. He was a big part of our family and we miss him everyday. We would like to thank everyone especially the Dr on July 26th 10: 00 pm. You helped us through a very hard time and your kindness will not be forgotten.

Three years later and we had to say goodbye to our beautiful boy Ody. This is by far the best place to say goodbye to a beloved pet. They have a wonderful room where you can spend all the time and all the treats your pet can eat before before the end. Our boy was happy and purring and it meant so much to us to see him that way in our final moments together. We will never forget your kindness.

Unfortunately our Vet was fully booked up today when we needed our cat to be assessed and treated as soon as possible.
Other Emergency vets were also completely booked or closed. Unfortunately our animal health care system is having horrible shortages as our health care system.
Thankfully Brant Norfolk Veterinary clinic was available to see our cat. From the front office staff to the amazing and support vet technician to Dr Brook’s everyone was so kind, understanding, supportive, knowledgeable and reasonable to work with. Everyone was a wealth of knowledge and compassion. I will be sure to recommend to family and friends if they come in need of an emergency vet.

My dog was really sick and was having an allergic reaction to an antibiotic which made her breathe heavy. We called the clinic at 2am and they told us to bring her. Despite the one hour distance from our home, I drove her in the middle of the night to this clinic and was sent back because in under a minute of checking her, they told us that she “looks stable compared to other dogs that were there, so the vet can’t see her. ” They didn’t care that my dog was breathing heavily with pain and I even pointed at her tummy that had a rash! They just turned and went back inside. We even asked for a bowl with water and we were ignored. Very unprofessional with no compassion. VERY BAD!

The staff are absolutely incredible, nothing short of amazing. We had our dog suddenly turn ill and we live in Hamilton and couldn't find anywhere to help us in such a large city and this vet took us in with no issue, accommodated us to allow our dog to be comfortable while we made the toughest decision an animal parent can make and allowed us the time and space to bring our other dogs to say goodbye to their sibling. Thank you to the staff from the bottom of our hearts for caring for our dog and allowing our broken hearts to be filled one last time before we said goodbye.

Our dog Bean was in so much pain and the response was so nice and caring from the staff at this clinic. Thanks you so much on a sad day for us.

This place honestly was expensive and wouldn't let me go inside with my cat who was choking but for a after hours clinic at 2am who literally saved my cat i lived them and the staff was super nice and understanding its just the Times we live in right now that made it suck.

The Doctor was a serious and kind person and our outcome led to our kitty having to be pts but I am happy with the services. Expensive but it is an emergency hospital for our babies.

Middle of the night phone call got me a wonderful vet tech who calmly answered my frantic and worried questions and concerns about my lab. She asked for a video of my dog to provide some clarification and second phone call gave me the reassurance I needed. The service she provided was exceptional.

Our Dog was critically ill. BNVC Was able to treat her in the middle of the night and stabilize her so that she could return to our home vet 36 hours later. They were willing and able to call or receive calls for updates often and this was very appreciated. They do not allow families inside which was difficult during Covid.

The transfer to home vet went as I expected. The home vet was not prepared and did not really expect her to be coming. Still very much needing supportive care they wanted us to wait 2 1/2 hours which seemed difficult. BNVC closes at 8 am Monday so we didn’t have a choice but to pick her up and keep her in the car until the home vet could see her.

This is our Ria three weeks later, home and doing amazing! Thanks so much for ur critical care ️

Disappointed that an emergency vet service will only see "deceased or dying" animals if someone is willing to travel to the emergency vet it is serious and they should not be told they can not be seen.

Professional and empathetic. I would give them ten stars if I could. I had to bring my cat here on the weekend to be euthanized and they were beyond amazing with us. Highly recommend.

People make the difference and this is very true here at the Brant Norfolk vet clinic. The staff and Dr Kirby were amazing and took Oscar in who had a bad infection and cared for him. Dr Kirby took the time to explain and answer all my questions thoroughly which I appreciated very much. Thank you for remaining empathetic for all your clients even though you're running like crazy!

We had to take our Dupree there on Saturday as it was getting harder for him to walk. The girl on the phone was great with trying to get us in as soon as she could. The vet i can't remember her name was good to Dupree he was in too much pain to keep going. She explained how they would adminster the needle and she was so good with him! He was sent off so peaceful we got to say our goodbyes. I would highly recommend them. They were great. RIP Dupree

I am forever thankful for the kindness of the care team. They are truly here for you and your pets, I trust and highly recommend. They were even kind enough to go out of their way to send a condolences card a week after our visit, I true wish they were our vet year round. A clinic that doesn't allow appoints but somehow is booked till 10pm & my dog just needed a prescription for a bad ear infection & told to try tomorrow. Seriously not a well functioning clinic of any kind! Dog suffered another 4 days before she got in to my regular vet.

Not humane at all. A cat with a significant episode who all of a sudden couldn't use her back legs wasn't enough for this organization to take in on an emergency basis because they were only servicing their area. Not really focused on animal welfare.

The staff here saved our cat, and were great to deal with. Our vet reviewed the work completed and said the clinic was extremely fair. We were beyond happy with the updates and level of service.

They are so nice! That aren't my vet but took my bearded dragon to b sent off to get creamated, they were so compassionate and made me feel better

Both days I needed to bring my sweet ill dog, and the first night I waited in the parking lot for an hour, the second night was 2 hours! With a dog that needs an iv. Unacceptable service.

A little much of a wait but otherwise a great place for your furbabies to be seen when they're ill

The emergency veterinary clinic does exactly what is says it does.and I feel sorry for the nurses and doctors that have to see these emergencies every weekend.

Over all services were good.

Our Vet seemed to be very knowledgeable and friendly.

The team made sure my my cat was takrn care of and comfortable.

Had a life or death medical emergency with my sweet Chihuahua. These amazing and compassionate people saved my boys life, and were very caring in the process. Made it feel seamless even in these weird times of Covid. They were very reasonably priced, and knowledgable. I cannot thank or recommend them enough.

Our kitten was seen here this past Sunday. The staff was wonderful both on the phone before getting there and in person. The vet was very kind and reassuring. I have spoken afterhours with this clinic before. Once when we were camping and our dog became suddenly ill, the person actually used to work at a vet near to where we were camping, up north and was able to suggest where to go. Another time on new years eve when we weren't sure if we sound bring our dog in to be seen. Each time the staff have been amazing and full of knowledge. We will always go here for our emergency vet needs. A big thank you to all the staff here!

So good to have a vet with extended hours and patient, comptent staff in our area. When our dog needed emergency late-night care, they really came through, while diligently maintaining pandic guidelines too.

We attended BNVC on Sunday after our girl Autumn become increasingly sick due to ongoing liver and gallbladder issues (as we understood it then).

We had been waiting for an appointment with OVC since July 2021. Unfortunately, we were unable to secure an in person visit, and scheduled a video conference on October 5. Knowing that Autumn would not make it to that date, I called BNVC.

From the moment we arrived, until we were referred to Toronto Animal Health Partners the next day, I knew that Autumn was receiving excellent care and was being supported through this terrible time.

Even though our girl did not make it, the support, care, and information we received from BNVC made the situation much easier for us and for that we will be forever thankful.

Great staff great care of it wasn't for them my cat would've passed a whole lot sooner but we got some more time with him because of them

Always very helpful for after hour concerns. Last time I had to phone was before work 6: 30am when I woke up and my dog's face was swollen from a sting 2 days prior. Talked me through what to do for the time being and very helpful.

Could not get into a were referred to this emergency service.we were told skin infections are not emergencies even though she's scratching she was bleeding and off her food and lathargic.sorry but it is.thanks to Troy vet. Service.they referred us to Dundas and my dog is now on her way

I had a senior chocolate lab in distress last night. The tech who answered my call when I was in the parking lot was rude and dismissive. I could see her making a face as I was trying to describe what was wrong with my dog. I get people have terrible nights, but I didn't know if I was saying goodbye to my dog last night. I found a vet in Burlington who listens was kind, compassionate and sent me home with antibiotics. My boy is recovering, and no thanks to Brant-Norfolk, Hamilton people, save your gas, go to Burlington!

We suddenly had to put our beloved bullmastiff Zeus to sleep. Despite being told the procedure could be done outside, as our party consisted of 4, the clinic vet chickened out, scared of a brightly lite and very empty parking lot. I'm very disappointed in the lack of transparency and professionalism in society's new normal. I hope very much, this vet finds themselves outside a dying family members hospital, unable to see their life leave this mortal coil.

My first experience here was fantastic. Great care, easy to understand explanations and very reasonably priced. Could not be happier with how our stressful evening turned out. Thank you for helping us!

The most amazing and caring staff. Like any emergency situation the waiting is always the worst. Whether it's 10min or 3hrs they always go above and beyond to help. Please treat these people with the respect they deserve
