Nissan customer for 18 yrs leasing 6 cars. Driving 2021 Rogue Platinum now with many problems. Defective navigation unit and battery. ABS recall. Annoying rattling under the dash.low rpm vibrations. Struggle with Nissan dealerships to prove issues and get help. For navigation unit I had to engage Nissan Canada to get a dealer replace it. Recently I moved to KW area. Chose Brantford Nissan based on their reviews even though they are not the closest dealer to me. This is where I ended up with the last 2 issues - low rpm vibrations and rattling. On my 1st attempt they couldn't identify anything wrong (pay attention here), asked me to come again and show them the issue in person. The car stayed at dealer for a day - the tech drove at over 110km in 80km zone (my car notifies crossing 110km) even though I reported that the issue was only at low rpm. To simplify the case I asked them to focus on rattling only (was reproduceable with a car in parking), had to come over again and show the issue to a service manager. He acknowledged it and we booked again. Then they said they fixed it and they didn't. I brought it back yet again. Not fixed. Then they reported it to Nissan engineering and o'miracle - it was a known issue and there was a solution that worked. 5 full day visits to the dealer. But I was happy the issue was finally resolved. But my luck ran out when I went back to them to deal with the originally reported issue of vibrations. The ask was simple. There is a prticular pattern of driving the car when it vibrates quite noticeably. I wanted an expert to listen to and and tell me if this is a real issue and if yes, address it. This is where service turned very unprofessional. They wrote down what I asked and I stayed in the dealership thinking they'd want to talk to me (remember my 5 visits for the rattling?). 1.5 hrs passed and my car wasn't even touched even though I was a first customer in the shop that morning. I approached service and they said it was being looked at and it wasn't (it was seating on a parking lot). Then it was indeed taken and 30 min after a report was produced without asking me any questions. This time report said the vibrations were there (remember they said initially there were none?) but the reason was unbalanced wheels (which didn't seem related at all as the car was very stable with no vibrations at any other speed if rpm want in 1200-1800 range, and same issue was there on my other set of wheels). Plus they said I need a brake service (3 years old 38k car highway driven? ! - brakes are doing just fine). So I asked to speak to a tech and re-explain him the issue. At which point it was plain refused, and I was told they can't help me and to take my car back to where I got it from (another dealer 75km away). When I asked why they said that I refused their professional opinion by not letting them eliminate wheels balancing as a culprit. Which they didn't offer as an elimination step - they stated it was the actual issue. After initially claiming there was no vibrations at all. So I said ok, go ahead and eliminate the balancing. Which they also refused stating it was too late and there were other customers in line (the dealership was empty by then, and remember - I was the 1st customer that morning). So they refused to take any further action, even a discussion with the tech and I had to leave. I asked to talk to a service manager who was very helpful with the previous issue but they just ignored the request and it seemed he wasn't there at a time. But guess what? The same day I went and did professional rebalancing elsewhere spending $90. And sure enough it didn't address the issue at all as was expected. So disappointing. They could have just done their job and worked with a customer. All I needed was a proper assessment and a professional opinion. But what I got instead is plain disrespect, and denial of service. Not a happy customer. And having this whole set of issues with my current Rogue and the related service challenges I will reconsider being a Nissan customer going forward
Do not come here for service Brian that used to be in charge was great to deal with now Karen and Shawn have zero customer service. We took our Nissan murano for an oil change and driving a couple days later we found out a power steering line magically had been rubbing and fluid leaked out while I was driving. The response from them it was in a tough spot to see it that’s your job to prevent issues while people are driving I will not be going back and caution everyone from getting service done there. If it’s hard to see they won’t care to look to prevent serious issues that could be fatal while driving.

I have known Chad Allen since 2001. Chad was a salesperson back then and sold me a used Nissan Quest. Since then, I have gone back to Brantford Nissan for a Quest, Altima, Rogue, and now this is my second Rogue. My two Rogues have been brand new and leases. Chad is now the Sales Manager and has introduced Keith to me. Chad and Keith have been very helpful in picking me the best vehicle for the money. Both are very professional and friendly. I told them I would be back in five years for another new one. I live two hours away from Brantford now and will still drive to Brantford Nissan.
