Brar's Pakwan

They really need to work on their food authenticity and quality. Bhature were good but the Channa was bland. No taste, flavour and they were actually chole not even channa.
We ordered aloo paratha and samosa and the potato filling was also raw and bland. The only item which was consumable was Mango lassi. Never going back.

Bad food, everything was too sweet. Chole were definitely a day old and Manchurian was the worst I had till date, and how can someone mess up a simple chai? Brar used to be a one of my favourite places but due to recent downgrade of quality I don’t think I will be coming back any time soon.

We had veg thali for 1 day, they put karela in shimla mirch. After tasting we realised shimla was bitter in taste to hide that they added karela.

Always a great food experience here at Brars. Been going for over 17 years! Always solid selection and fresh!

Worse place for Dine in food Quality very bad n roof was broken water damaged tables were not clean. Electric wires hanging. So unsafe

The front lady was very rude even They did not know how to talk with customers. If u want to increase your income then replace her.

I have never written a review about any place but I would not talk if I don’t have good things to say but this is a different story. I have been coming to this place for a while and it wasn’t so bad until now. They have hired such bad people recently especially the lady at the cash. She is always super rude and gives everyone so much attitude. Few day ago I got veg thali and found hair in my food. I could’ve done so much for that but all I did was told her look I found this in my plate what do you want me to do. She was so ignorant and she just shock her head and said I don’t make the food. I asked her to change it for me she still kept arguing and making faces finally the owner said ok and so she gets me a new plate and the owner literally had the audacity to blame it on me and said oh maybe it could be your hair. Like are u fr. Anyway I won’t recommend this place people and very rude and food is not so great either and no hygiene at all.

The thalis are all vegetarian & delicious.
Even though Brar Pakwan specializes in deserts we weren't in the mood for a sweets but the mango lassis were tasty & refreshing. A place more suited for take-out I'd say.

Worst experience ever for take out. Ordered karahi paneer and everything was raw, turmeric smell was coming from the dish n seems like everything added together n due to shortage of gas they turned flame off. No gravy just dried out dish, when had a bite felt like having raw veggies with turmeric over top as dressing. On other side, Ordered sweets too milk cake was fresh. Last bit not least to add on was poor customer service. I wish their management can train them well that you cannot answer “pta ni” to customer on front desk. Definitely not going back ever

Excellent service and the food was bountiful and Delicious. Our server, Prabhjot, was fantastic.

Went in on a weekday just after the lunch crowd.for a couple of snacks. Place was not busy at all, so one would think that service would be good and staff somewhat sociable & somewhat friendly. Well, was I disappointed customer service was dismal at best.
Food quality. Not impressed at all.
Dahiwada-the wadas were fermenting and the entire dish very pungent.

Will I be back? Not sure. Will have to see how their competition rates.

Worst place to go ever. Ridiculous staff. I asked them about the surety that the food i am taking should not have any form of gluten and they said its gluten free.
My friend is allergic to gluten and had d food and fell sick and got anxious. She is not feeling well. When we called and asked the store again, a girl named Harpreet kaur said yes it has bread crumbs. Why d hell these people lie and risk someones life.
DO Not visit this restaurant. The owner and staff are not good and don’t care about someones health. They serve unhealthy food.

Server doesn’t seem to care. Water doesn’t come with food to eat in restaurant, have to pay extra $1.68 for bottle of water.

Used to come here on daily basis for a veg thali, small raita and 2 roti.
Today i ask them can you please put a spoon of extra daal over a rice
she strictly said no we cant.you have to buy extra.i mean if i am spending 15 on a thali i can spend extra 5.64 cent for a small daal too, but i just needed spoon of daal over my rice.anyway.my other friends had tiffen with you.and they would be cancelling Too.a sister wore glasses who was giving thaali for take out) Good luck

I just tried food here.i had a great experience… i love the food they prepared.its really delicious…

I went today with my wife and ordered kachori will cost around 8.00$ per plate. It was so stubborn to break it just west of my money. I told to staff so she say when we warm it is like this so I say have you or your staff ever try to eat even animals can’t eat
Also tables were not cleaned

Ok so inflation is a real thing, but jacking your price from $50 to $80 for Shahi Paneer Tray is exploitation.

Don't justify the price.

I have been a customer for more than 15 years. Raised all prices, got rid of essential items like napkins and water. Who doesn’t give water complimentary with food LOL? The food itself has gone down in quality.

Prefer sleeping hungry if this is the only available restaurant near me. Stale food probably left overs from the other day are served. Cashiers are not being paid enough I guess because they treat you like someone whos there for free food. Boycott such businesses. This is not the best Indian food you will eat.

One of my favourite place for go to food. I have been visiting this place for more thn 2 years now. Now i feel it is getting overpriced but with the increasing of gas price, but understandable I guess.
Thali comes with enough food to survive for whole day. They have varieties of sweets and pakwan to choose from. Take out is more fun then dine in.

Big disappointment
I Would never order from this place. We had order of 90 people and we only received food for only 50 people

It's okay to try. I tried it after year and half now the taste is not like before pandemic. They had really indian spice taste now they flatten the spices and more oily.

I ordered today Chole Bhature and Veg Thali with Door Dash. I received only Chhole Bhature. Please check your order with this restaurant when you order using Doordash.

I ordered manchurian and dry were like rubber, cant chew and very dry no gravy, very hard and vegetables were not cooked they use froozen manchurian. Do not order manchurian and I’ll not order anything from here

Don't go if you have little kids, and want to use washroom, the lady at counter didn't allow my 6 years old son, we had to left dinner half just to take my son to use washroom somewhere else. Now never ever.done.desi.baloons, what is customer service learn from Timhortn, McDonalds making billions but after unlocked they are allowing to use washroom even for adults not just kids.shuckr

The name is just a hype. I am a Biryani fan and have tried from so many restaurants but here I really had worst experience, the rice was over cooked like Khichdi, oil was floating all over, no taste, veggies were not cooked properly with spices. Its a total waste of money. I had similar experience with veg Manchurian as well it was undercooked and too much oil which can raise anyone's cholesterol level at peak after just having one time meal. The staff is very disorganized. I would never recommend this place.

Hi we r your old customer. Food is always good. But now we find that the vegetables like shashi paneer and malai kota are very sweet it is very hard to eat. Specially when u r diabetic.

I wish I could give them zero stars for worst customer service and stale food they always give, their samosas smells worst and sometimes its half cooked like chewing raw meat. I would stay hungry but wouldn't buy from you.

Always amazing! We love the quality and freshness of food. Taste is always "the best". We have never had a bad experience at this location. I am very tempted to subscribe for "The good tiffin" food delivery service. I do highly recommend Brar's Pakwan for quality Indian food. This place reminds me of back home:)

This place has amazing, authentic Desi food. My family and I go especially to Toronto for this place. If anyone wants to try authentic Desi food, I recommend this place.

Very bad. Firstly I ordered 3 plate chhole bhature but when I took out to serve at home, there were only 4 bhaturas. Then the food wasn't good. Pakoras were made in corn batter rather than besan. Overall my experience was very bad.

Pathetic staff. I went there 3-4 days back and took 3 samosas. Today i went again and they denied to give 3 and asked to take minimum 6. I asked the lady when did this happen, she said it's like that always. I said I took it 3-4 days back, she said rudely we have changed the policy and it's like that. I asked her where is it written she said I am saying so it's like that. Tremendously rude she was. She was not at all interested in selling it seems. Whosoever is the owner please look into this, as it won't take much time to lose your regular customers because of your pathetic staff

Today went to brar pakwan i brought a somoses they are really good taste. They give best taste of Indian food which ever i try here in Etobicoke. There paneer tikka roll is also very tastyI suggest everyone to try it

I have been going to this restaurant for over 10 years. If it was closer to me I would probably go every week. In all of the GTA this is my favorite Indian restaurant. I always get a thali or channa batura (or both). Their thali is the best in the GTA. People try to make similar thalis but their curries are nowhere as good. Brar has other locations but this one is the best. Never change.
