I’ve ordered many times from this bakery, and no matter what I order, it is always amazing! Pastries, buns, scones, coffee…I bring this goodness to dinner parties, brunches, etc and I am the most popular guest (no sarcasm). So happy to have this place in the neighborhood!

A must try!
Blueberry danish: 15/10. Perfect balance between the soft, and jamminess of the blueberry and the crunch of the puff pastry. Highly recommended.
Cinnamon snail: 10/10. If you are puff pastry lover, 100% get this. The flakiness of the pastry was unbelievable. I just wished there was more cinnamon filling or else it would be fighting for the top spot with the blueberry Danish.
Jam bun: 9/10. Very similar to the cinnamon snail but less flaky and couldn't taste much of a filling.
Earl grey scone: 8/10. Very prominent earl grey flavour which is delicious. I just found the scone a little dense.
The chocolate hazelnut: 5/10 nothing special, there was barely any filling.
I also got the mooshu ice-cream in osmanthus and peach (vegan) and it was not good. My friend and I both couldn't taste much of a flavour. It was sweet and that was it.

Not in the area often but used to support this bakery whenever I could. I love the croissants. Today I was disappointed after being refused entry for not wearing a mask. Mask mandates ended well over a year ago. It’s illogical to enforce such measures. Staff can wear their mask but don’t force customers. Why comply to a weird face covering rule knowing well that it’s senseless? This is the only establishment with a requirement so I’m happy to shop down the street, free to smile and converse with the bakery staff.

Consistently good quality and excellent service. They do a lot for the community as well and what more could one ask for? The whole wheat bread has to be one of the best I have had.

Go for the sourdough. It's ridiculous. Both the country and the kamut. It comes out mid day and if you want it sliced, you need to wait another couple of hours, but it's SO yum, it's practically life changing. They also make great coffee and offer several ready to go sandwiches if you need an actual meal. Treats are delicious too. Honestly, there isn't anything at Bread by Us that I haven't enjoyed, but I legit come back for the sourdough.

I went to check out the place last weekend but got turned away at the front door because I was not wearing a mask. It has been almost a year since all restrictions were lifted country-wide.
I'm sure the bread here is good, but not worth it. This is a private business and they can choose to keep the restrictions, just like I am choosing to never come back.

Great spot for bread in the heart of Hintonburg. Good rotating selection of pastries and baked good. My go to place for weekly fresh bread!

Love their Belgian hot chocolate and cinnamon snails (sweet rolls)! Their main thing is bread, which is very much in demand by locals, with good reason. The store's sales area can only accommodate 4 clients at once; so there could be line-up to enter, especially on weekends. Face masks still required.

Overpriced products, rude staff and still obsessed with the mask 9 months after the madate has ended. Spend your money elsewhere!

Great Little Bakery, my vote for best in the city.
The only problem is that it is always sold out of lots of the breads by the time I get there, so go early!
