Brickhouse Brewpub

We visited this restaurant for a date night yesterday evening. The pictures on the site looked very nice and based on the reviews it appeared the food would be good.
We arrived, seated ourselves and ordered at the bar as per the instructions on the menu. I ordered a braised beef poutine and my fiancé ordered a Tex Mex Nacho wrap with fries.
I was surprised when the food came out in about 5 minutes from ordering.
I wish I took pictures because the food was underwhelming at first glance. The wrap looked like something I could have thrown together at home in 5 minutes. My fiancé was unimpressed with the taste but still ate it since he eats everything.
The fries were cold and bland which I knew just from looking at them. There is no way you can make fresh fries in 5 minutes.
The poutine consequently wasn't very good as well due to the poor quality of the fries. The braised beef however was nice and the gravy as well.
I was going to say something, however my fiancé told me to let it go since we were trying to enjoy our date night.
When I went to pay I was presented with the options to tip 15,20 & 25%. I am assuming this is standard now as I am not unfamiliar with these options since we eat out often, but I found it a little unreasonable to expect such a significant surcharge at a restaurant where you basically self serve.
Will probably not return or recommend this place to anyone.

I wish there were more stars to give. From the staff to the food to the prices there is nothing disappointing about this amazing spot! Set on a beautiful golf course this has to be the crowning glory of Woodstocks dining establishments. The only thing I'm mad about is the fact that we waited so long to try it out! If you love yourself, go have dinner at this outstanding eatery. (I had the braised beef poutine. 150 stars)

Can't offer an opinion on this business. I dropped of about 18 people from out of town but were refused seating. The business couldn't, wouldn't accept them. If advanced notice or reservations are required. Please post on your web site this information. I delivered the group to Montana's and they were accepted. Had a good meal. Then tipped their server generously.
Brickhouse is doing so well it can turn away business.

This place was absolute delight. Went here during a slower weekday afternoon immediately noticed how well thought out and designed the taproom is.

My friend and I started with tasting flights. It took us a minute to choose as they have 24 original beers on tap. When we did finally decide and received our flights, I was pleased with every single one of my choices. As was my accompaniment.

We ordered an appetizer and two dishes for ourselves. Was really happy with everything. A lot of places completely mess up cauliflower bites but these ones were solid. I was also surprised how good the mushroom stuff tortellini was. Not a dish I’d expect at a craft brewery.

The young lady serving us was also an absolute delight!

I’ll certainly return every time I’m in the area.

Great stop on our road trip! Staff is friendly. Food is delicious. Great craft brew selection. Our young kids love it too!

We are just leaving Brickhouse Brewery, and the beer tastes great, but the food was amazing!
I had the fish and sweet potatoe fries, so delicious. My husband had mild wings and he said they were really good.
The staff was friendly, and great atmosphere.
We will be returning!

Great spot for dinner and beer. Even found some good wine. I had the wings and my friend had the fig Flatbread. Both were delicious. Loved the brewery atmosphere. Definately worth a repeat.

Honestly the best place I've eaten in Woodstock. Highly recommend the wings, dill waffle fries, pretzels, onion rings. Service is also lightning fast. We basically ordered 3/4 of the apps and it came out in 15-20 minutes.

Great menu. Everything is delicious.and amazing soup every day! Wonderful selection of craft beers from Upper Thames plus an equal number of guest taps.

Some of the best wings I've had in a long while. It was not overcooked, and the Nashville Sweet and Spicy sauce was excellent.

Went to have a birthday dinner on a Friday night and due to not having table reservations available was unable to wait for a table. Judging by the business they should have reservations. I have heard that the food is good there, so my rating may appear unfair but when you rarely get to go out for dinner it is a big disappointment. I hope management will consider reservations in the future.

A good spot attached to a golf course with a nice patio. I met a friend here as a middle ground between Kitchener and London and we both really enjoyed it. Solid burgers and an impressive beer selection! We agreed this will be our go-to meeting spot in Woodstock!

I used to love going here but recently they've changed now you cant make a reservation here unless you have some membership and you also can't wait at the bar for a table because there is no one to monitor it for you. Overall wouldn't care to try to go back here!

Beer was great, atmosphere is cool. Bizarre that you need to go to bar for every drink and to order food.
Food was good but mediocre.
Staff was super friendly although I found it strange that they have a time limit on the tables.
We were asked to leave at 90min, but we all still had quite a bit of beer left. We ended up just standing at the bar to finish our beers so they could give our table to other costumers. We probably would've ordered another round if we had a place to sit.
Only 3 bar stools at the bar.

Service was terrible… waited at the bar for 45 minutes for food… server/bartender was miserable… will not be back… sorry Woodstock ️️

My boyfriend and I love coming here. It’s our favourite place for date night in Woodstock. The food is awesome (he particularly looooves the beer cheese dip) & I love all the options for sours!

First thing upon entering, we were told that we wont be kicked out today because they arent too busy. Never have I heard somwthing like this before from anyone in the restautant/bar/pub industry anywhere in the world or in Canada.

Party of 5, the staff were nice. Two of us had fish and chips one had a wrap and one person had the brickhouse cibatta. We also ordered the waffle nachos as a starter. The actual mains were good, the fries had a weird after taste and were a bit soggy. Not sure if it's because the oil was old or not to temp because they were busy, or if they used a seasoning i didnt like. The wrap was massive and enjoyed and so was the fish. I don't mind going up to order your first round of drinks and food but going up half way through your meal to get a refill on a pop a second beer does ruin the experience a bit. The Ceasarsalad was excellent real bacon and shaved parmesean flakes. We are going to reserve judgment and try this place once more before a final verdict, I'd have given it four stars if we didn't have to get our own drinks.

I would recommend anyone who likes beer or good food. There are lots of choices of different beers from Ontario and they rotate out their beers. Amazing food selection and would recommend for a date night or going out for a group of friends! The staff are friendly & their system of having a tab and paying at the end makes everything easier! Patio and indoor eating options! 10/10 would recommend!

Great staff. We had pretty good 'brickhouse' burgers too. Would have great if Ontario didn't make them kill thier beer at well done (how embarrassing for Canada). 25 beers on tap was nice. Wish we could stayed longer.

Charcuterie board was delish, one of the best I have tasted. Nice atmosphere! Definitely coming back. My boyfriend loved the beer!

Friendly and attentive staff, awesome atmosphere, stellar food and really good beer selection. All the Upper Thames beer were super tasty. 100% would recommend and cant wait to go back. Keep up the good work.

This is the best bar in Woodstock.doesn't get stupid roudy with 17 year olds, stocks good to great beers on tap and of course keeps a great selection of house brews as well.prices are great from sample 5oz pours to full pints and even the hard stuff.big + is that they also sell a bunch of food: impressively priced considering the portions and lends itself really well to sharing.check out the beer cheese dip with the pretzel bites to dip.great to see folks moving away from corporate cookie cutter restaurants which have become par for the course in so many smaller cities in Ontario.

I went with 4 friends for supper, it has a wonderful atmosphere and delicious pub style food. We had an awesome time.

It was really busy and they dealt really well with the customers and have really good beer! The atmosphere is amazing as well! And the architecture the building is really cool!

I had an excellent experience here! The atmosphere was amazing and the food was SO good! I'm not a beer drinker, but there were lots of different options and my boyfriend really enjoyed the 3 he tried!

Great place, staff very friendly and helpful for those of us who didn't know the routine. The food was delicious and so was the beer. This was our first time here and I can see this becoming a Friday night ritual. A special thank you to Mack for making us feel so welcome.

Fish and chips were some of the best I've had in a while. Swallowed it down a fogbound English pub style. Went down smooth, was very tasteful and worth the money. Atmosphere was fantastic. My favourite restaurant in Woodstock so far. Will go back. Will probably be a long time, consistent customer. You have got to check this place out!

A bit confusing when you 1st arrive. Must find your own seat and go up to the bar to order food and drinks. You can pay at that time or run a tab until you are ready to leave. Go early as it gets busy quick! LOTS of beer flavors and styles to choose from. Food was hot and fresh. Can't wait to go back.

Went for a few drinks and appetizers. Was very disappointed in the food. Great selection of brews but for just opening was hoping for fresh ingredients not microwaved pretzel bites, cheese dip that tasted like melted cheese-whiz, and McCain fries. Was told to come back as they are going to try to improve their food. Would have been nice to get the food right before opening. If you are looking to sit with friends and have a beer good location and selection. Looking for drinks and appetizers not your place.

Love the atmosphere! By far the best craft beer list for a 30-minute drive at least. Food is really good and priced well. The staff is friendly and hard-working.

I can deffinately see it being a hot spot for golfers and people looking for a unique dining experience. However I would have liked to see a more diverse menu. Just the same pub grub you can get anywhere

Great place, nice selection of ale, you can get a taste tester of several too. Food is nice and served quickly, atmosphere is friendly.

My wife, father and I met up for dinner and a beer. The atmosphere was great, our food was delicious and we enjoyed a couple of their wheat beers. We will definitely be back for further sampling.

Great meal and atmosphere. Awesome selection of beer and I liked the cider they had available. We had the classic burger and mac and cheese, would definitely get them again. Will definitely be back.

Really like it here. Atmosphere is fresh and comfortable. Staff is really friendly, and service is quick. Had the wings, they are really good, and everything else I saw looked great. Of course, the beer is fantastic - nice to see so many guest taps, too. Parking lot of huge and easy to navigate. Nice to have a place like this on the north end of town. Look forward to going back!
