Nicely maintained trails and friendly staff including those running the chair lifts! It was interesting to learn that in the evening, many of the hills are closed. Also, some areas were super dark (Flyer run at night) yet the tickets are the same price. Otherwise, l had a great time!

Ski Day, we loved you so much! Thank you Brimacombe for the excellent service. We rented our ski gear seeing that we were visiting from Switzerland. The rental System was efficient, friendly and so helpful. The ski conditions were absolutely perfect. We really appreciated this experience- skiing with my son ski where I learned to ski many years ago.

Amazing hill size for the area. An outdoor bonfire, good music and sunshine added to the great ambiance of the chalet.

The only thing I’d recommend is for the management to add gravel to the parking lot. It was VERY muddy. Because problematic when leaving with young children. If the parking lot was less muddy, then 5 stars, hands down.

This hill is awesome. It's almost worth winter to go again. For a small hill it's got really great runs.

Not worth price for 4 hours. 3 lifts open. Icy and no terrain park. They still ask for everything but your blood type still.

Not recommended for school trips unless you have an expert skier / snowboarder. 6 hours later and finally the instructor gives the sticker to go on Green hills. Many kids came home frustrated that instructors not watching them come down the hill and making them continue. If you can’t ski with your classmates…. Why go?

I have 2 kids taking lessons here.
Their experience has been nice and the seem to enjoy it.
I would not eat here however. The food is over priced and not great quality, but what really made me decide not eat here ever again was when they asked me to pay a $1 for 2 paper cups when I'm spending $60 on food.

Haven't been to Brimacombe on over 20 years. Started back this year with the kids, and it has been excellent. Staff are fantastic, instructors are great. Overall, I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great day to ski!

Was at the hill dec 29/22. The liftys on the Boulevard Chair did an outstanding job organizing the lines.

The hills are good. Just make sure to not go when it’s crowded. The food is expensive and it’s not a lot of portion. The price is good $116 for 4 hour. Make sure to get a trainer if you are a beginner and take your time when going down the bunny hill as you need to learn to stop before even thinking about going to the big hills.

They are open this year and you could get 10% discount if you are booking on online. They have lof of places for skiing and snowboarding. Beginners have special places for learning and they do have trainers.

My kids all learned to ski here. Brimacombe offers a fantastic gradual learning experience for first timers. From the bunny hill with the magic carpet all the way up to the terrain park. There is something for everyone. The staff is really great. It’s a really cool environment from ticket sales, to rentals, to ski shop, to trainers, to liftees, to the restaraunts crew and everyone in between. Our family has made a lot of great memories here and strongly recommend the Brim to anyone considering a great local southern Ontario skiing experience!

Medical Cannabis Users avoid this place like the plague.

In the three years I have been using medical cannabis to treat my PTSD, I have never been made to feel as unwelcome as I was today.

First I am approached in the parking lot by a young lady with a radio who looked like she was on a mission. Her first words were "excuse me, you can do THAT here". THAT, as it turns out, was me smoking medical cannabis in a huge outdoor parking lot. Where people are allowed, by the absence of signs indicating otherwise, to smoke cigarettes. When I asked about this she told me there was NO designated smoking area and that she encouraged people to smoke in their vehicles, and I quote, "you know, because of the kids". What? Little more staff education needed with that one.

So I get into the chalet, get my son ready for his race, and proceed to ask a young lady wearing a Brimacombe name tag if there was a designated smoking area. She kindly pointed me to an area outside that was clearly marked. Kindest and most helpful girl all day.

I proceed to said area and see that there is a stipulation that there is no recreational use of cannabis, but medical use will be accommodated by talking to the main chalet. Not wanting to cause a fuss, and already quite agitated by not being able to smoke, I went back to the chalet to check in.

This is where is gets really stupid and I hope you see how stupid it is.

I go to customer service. Big line up. I go to the side, everyone glares, as they should. Crickets. So I went outside for a smoke while I waited. Any longer and I was going to lose it.

Finally a lady tried to get me an answer, but failed. Then the manager, I guess, finally showed up. His brilliant plan was that every time I needed a smoke (I smoke 20-30 times in the course of a normal day) I would have to come to the desk, get stared at (increasing my anxiety and agitation) and then someone would escort me out to the back of the building, away from the smoking area.

So, the time comes and I head to the desk to get someone to show me to my special place and I am told that I can just go there myself. So I walk out past the smoking area, past the place where the kitchen dumps all of their garbage and grease, past some sea cans and right in front of some office windows. Well, might as well smoke here. Then I walk back through the smoking area that is now full of smokers to drop off my butts. There was no can in my special area. As an ex-smoker who hates the smell of cigarette smoke I find that kind of ironic. As should you.

Now, to the whole reason for this review. Your BS excuse. You told me that I couldn't smoke medical cannabis with all of the people killing themselves one cigarette at a time because people wouldn't understand the difference between medical and recreational. That is of ZERO concern to me. What I am doing is 100% legal and has been since before recreational was legalized. Like YEARS and YEARS before. (someone tried to use the excuse that they were new to all of this).

You are doing nothing but perpetuating a stereotype that cannabis is bad. It's not. Whether recreational, or medical, it's here to stay. Anyone who smokes or drinks and doesn't agree with cannabis, needs to seriously educate themselves.

As for Little Miss, "you know, the children", who herself wasn't that long ago a child. I have two children who almost lost their father forever a few years ago, because there was no effective treatment for my PTSD symptoms. They have grown up from the ages of 3 and 7 knowing what I smoke every day. I also educate them, which I can only hope other parents would do instead of just judging. If I see someone drinking a beer, I don't automatically think they are an alcoholic. So when you see me smoking a joint, don't automatically assume I am some degenerate dirt bag. I spent spent 24 years of my life serving this country at home and abroad. I'm far from a degenerate dirtbag.

If your goal was to just make me go away, Congrats, you succeeded.

Compare to others ski resorts (I.e lakeridge, dagmar, skyloft etc) east of Toronto, Brimacombe is the largest. More trails more lifts and the overall snow quality is better. If you’re looking for advanced blue and black trails and terrain parks, this is the best bet within 1 hr east of Toronto.

Took 4 and 6 yr olds for first time. Great experience on magic carpet run for first timers. 40 minutes from Pickering. If kids are eager will consider membership next winter.

Please have someone fix the massive potholes in parking lot 4. Not so much the parking lot but the main road in between the lots. I'm pretty sure my car was hurt. Other than that great place to be for some family fun.

If you're teaching the little one how to ski, THIS is the place to go. We typically ride lakeridge and sky loft but I was passing by today with my family and had an absolutely wonderful time. Great hill, great amenities, great experience.
