Amazing coffee. Attentive staff. You feel the welcome in this cafe. I been to other dog cafes on the mountain. This one doesn't make you feel like you're walking into a strangers living room and the rapore is always great with the other customers.
The menu is great too! Check it out, your dog will love this place

Understand what you are getting into if you plan to visit.

The seating is basic, kept open to allow the 4 legged guest space. It's very clean, the ownership takes pride in keeping the seating area clean; a constant venture considering the presence of dogs.

The food was underwhelming. (More on that below) The drip coffee was good, the Hot Chocolate was presented well.

The food: ordered a BLT. Got a dismal tiny cocktail sized sandwich made from two heel rye slices. ~3"x5", one piece of lettuce, two slice of tomato, two pieces of Schneider's bacon, a small spread of mayo, and a single pickle cut in half as garnish. A bag of Doritos on the side. $8.99

The owner: I don't know what to make of Jim. The greeting and seating was pleasant and welcoming. However during the hour that I visited, on multiple occasions the owner was being passive aggressive towards customers, had an angry outburst and displayed outward hostility to having to clean up after a pet accident (not ours), and when I went to use the restroom, overheard him being quite belligerent to the staff in the kitchen/back room.verdict: Not going to return, the concept is great, the execution should work, but sadly ownership is the lack here.

Great place to take your dog, very clean, service is amazing and the staff are very friendly. I would recommend this dog cafe to anyone looking to take their pet to have some fun with other doggie.

Took my little pup Mya for a visit she loved it so much she was excited to go back.while there she had a little trim on her face and got her first bow.staff are great and very friendly with everyone especially the pups.

Not gourmet food, BUT it's so fun with your pup to have a coffee and watch them play. Great owner, and atmosphere.

Amazing spot! I went there for breakfast with my American Bulldog, Ivy. I had a delicious clubhouse sandwich and Ivy loved her salmon tail treat. Great people, great staff, and even an in house groomer. I highly recommend this place for anyone and their pup.

If I were a dog (who loved other dogs), I'd wanna come here every day to meet new people/dogs and try all the treats! There's a groomer onsite, indoor/outdoor seating, room to roam, very friendly humans everywhere, and birthday parties for pups!

Jim and the staff provide a welcoming, fun, and safe space for people and pups to socialize and have some treats. Thanks for the good times. Rafa loves it ️️

Jim and the team at Dog Cafe are wonderfully welcoming, and set an atmosphere where dogs (and their humans) can always be comfortable and socialize. I’m constantly amazed that Jim remembers the name of almost every dog that has ever visited!

The menu is basic, but good, and the service is always awesomely friendly. Try the Bishop’s dog treats - Jed and CJ love them!

There is a great variety of food and drink and excellent service.

The owner, Jim is very attentive with his customers and digs are readily willing to pose for a photo that Jim posts on Instagram and Facebook.

This place is a great place to celebrate your puppy’s birthday with a custom made cake.

They also have Dog Theme days. It’s a wonderful way for your dog to mingle with other dogs.

Such a wonderful place for dogs to place and owners to watch them! The staff think of everything. It is a very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Love dogs but don't have one? This place is perfect to get your doggie fix and a little snack while you are there. I would definitely go to one of their birthday parties if you have a chance. Too much fun!

A great place to sit with your friends or family and even have your fur baby with you. They have good food, do birthday parties there at the restaurant for your fur baby. Jim and his wife Judy are awesome with the dogs and post regularly of Facebook pictures of events/etc. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed!

My FAV place in Hamilton! My golden doodle loves it here. Sometimes I bring my laptop to do some work while she plays with the other dogs. In the summer there is an outdoor patio and it's lovely.

Highly recommend for anyone looking for a dog friendly café (no leashes and there's a gate that keeps all the dogs safe!)

Great spot to check out for an afternoon with your fur babies. Staff are welcoming and explain how everything works. Our little chihuahua was intimidated at first, but adjusted quickly. We will be checking out small dog day on Thursdays from 4-8pm next!

Well that was the cutest experience ever! My dog had so much fun making friends and the food was delicious!

Very welcoming place with no judgment. I love all the space the dogs have to play! My puppy loves coming here! The prices are very reasonable, the grooming prices are very reasonable and the owner knows all his customers dogs by name and greets them all as you walk in. 10/10 recommend if you haven’t brought your dog here, you should!

Great place! Fun to take the dog to and hangout. Very friendly and accomadating staff. The drinks and desserts are awesome the meals could be better but for the price are fair.

Super fun place. Great for kids and doggo. Also good for those who just want to watch. Great coffee and food. Can't leave her with out a smile.

We went for the first time last night with our dog Rusty and it was great! VERY friendly and welcoming staff who made sure that we were comfortable and answered any questions we had. The menu is big and has lots of options to chose from and prices were reasonable as well as some tasty dog treats. Overall a great experience and very impressed with this place. Will be coming back soon for sure!:)

Absolutely love this place! The people here are so nice and the vibe is really relaxing! Loved bringing our dog Mochii, so glad we found such a nice place to hangout with our dog! Can’t recommend it enough if you like dogs and friendly people! Will definitely be back as much as we can:)

Great place to bring your pup. Jim is welcoming and makes you and your fur baby feel safe. Visit the cafe for some puppy play time and a bite to eat. I've been to all the dog cafes in Hamilton and this is my favorite!

Pickles and I enjoy every visit to the Dog Cafe. We are always greeted by Jim and Jess. We've made friends there. Pickles gets lots of loving and treats. Pickles is well socialized playing with all sizes /breeds of dogs. Many people who love dogs but don't own one, come for a snack. They will often pick her up for a cuddle. Kids love her too. There's lots on the people menu as well as the dog menu. However, Pickles loves the people hot dogs best. I bring Pickles weekly to have her teeth brushed and bi-weekly have her nails cut by Hayley, the on-site groomer. Pickles absolutely loves Hayley and runs to her every time she comes out of her salon. In summer we really enjoy the fenced off back patio with lots of shade and cool drinks. Pickles really runs out there. We really enjoy every visit. COME ON OVER AND SIT AWHILE.

This place should blow up. Staff are awesome and the concept is the best. Food is simple and cheap. Whatever. Great bakery though. Cute events. I wish i could live here

The folks here have a genuine passion for our pets. Their patience and attitude are simply astounding.

Owner and staff are friendly and welcoming. The poutine was really good you can tell they use real potatoes. I also found it really cute how they have a menu for dogs with different kinds of treats.

A lovely indoor place with friendly staff for dogs to safely socialize while their pawrents enjoy some good grubs and drinks. Highly recommend for all dog owners with friendly pups! They also have cool events happening all year around.:)
