I love coming to this clinic as they don’t push you for unnecessary expenses as opposed to others!

The staffs are very knowledgeable and compassionate. If they can help you on the phone, they will instead of having uou come visit and charge you for unnecessary services. The pricing of the service is pretty good and they will advised you against services you requested if they find that it is unwarranted but ultimately the decision is yours.

Overall, very nice and kind staffs who love the animals they serve and are not out to get more money from you.

If I could give this place a zero star I would! Dr. Dabia is so rude and unprofessional. Changing my vet was the best decision I’ve ever made. I really only kept going there since the staff is so friendly.

First time here, really liked the vet going to be going back here for future appointments.

They are always so friendly and knowledgeable. We have come here several times with our dog and they did her spay too. Highly recommend!

The staff here are very passionate about their job. You can tell that they really care about both the pet, and the owner. I feel very comfortable bringing my pet here and know that they will be well cared for.

Was in the beginning of a storm and Zeus was needing their help. Staff were professional and explained the medication was necessary and the veterinary advised me that it was necessary to take care of the infected area in order to get Zeus better. Two lollipops later, medication in hand we both felt relieved and Zeus got his doggie treats.

If it wasnt for the rude staff/supervisor Brittany, I would give a better rating. She was charging me the full amount for nail trim for my goldendoodle and did only front paws while taking my full assistance to do the job. The nails were left long and brittle and upon addressing the problem they said that we are not petsmart (but hello you charge more than any other groomer aound)

Took my dog to see her paw because she would whine and limp after jumping or long walks.the vet said she was fine after a 5 min checkup.charged me 100$+. Next day she wasnt feeling like herself and i decided to take a look at her paws and found an infected cut.this wasn’t the first time they have misdiagnosed.just frustrating dealing with vets that dont care for your pet just your money

Overall, I’ve had a good experience with the Doctor and the staff at this clinic.

It wasn’t until recently that I had a bad experience. I took my cat into the clinic to purchase flea/tick medication. My sister had recently adopted a rescue cat so the medication was simply a preventative measure to ensure both pets were flea/tick free. No exam was needed.

However, when I got to the clinic, they took my cat into the examination room. The vet assistant asked me a few questions and did a quick pat of my pet, and deemed that he was healthy. When I looked at my receipt, I found out that I was charged for an exam recheck on top of the cost of the medication. What I find odd is that the doctor didn’t do any sort of exam, nor was an exam even needed.

In addition, they did not have enough doses of the medication in stock, so they only sold me two (2) doses. I was told to come back to pick up the third dose once in stock. When I went to pick up the third dose, they charged me almost the same amount for one (1) dose, as they charged me for the two (2) doses… The staff then told me the high cost is due to the dispensing fee and advised that the next time I could put in an order for 3 doses to be picked up at a later date, and only pay the dispensing fee once. I would have hoped that I was advised of this from the get go, rather than after the fact, when I have already paid so much for the exam fees and medication costs.

Dr Dabhia and his team are wonderful. They provide exceptional care and are able to answer any questions or concerns really well. My dog, Milo, is always happy to see Dr. Dabhia because of his poise demeanor towards his patients. I would recommend anyone who has a pet to enroll at this clinic.

Had both my cats neutered and spayed here at this clinic and I couldn’t be more happy with the prices and service. The doctor was very honest and straightforward. This is the only clinic where I feel like they actually care about my pets and aren’t just trying to empty my pockets. 10/10 definitely recommend to everyone:)

I have encountered the most irresponsible, dishonest and racist receptionist at this clinic. Stay away from this clinic.

People very friendly, they are here for animals. Had few regular visits, vaccine and what not, and small surgery, all went well. Prices are as they should be: affordable.

We have a reactive dog and the staff and the vet are always extremely helpful and accommodating. The services are also reasonably priced.

Dr. Dhabia is the best veterinarian. I have been taking my dog Archie to this clinic since he was 8 weeks old and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Dr. Dhabia has helped us with many concerns and always recommends the most effective treatments for Archie. He treated Archie’s giardia when he was a puppy and even an intestinal obstruction. We are very lucky to have him as our veterinarian as he truly cares for his patients.

Brought my dog in as we suspected she picked something up during her walk leading to her strange behaviour afterwards. We brought her in later at night and waited hours the vet did the entire assessment charged us around $200 and didn’t even check her mouth (we didn’t know at the time) and told us she was okay. The issue persisted a day later, we came back and she wasn’t seen for over eight hours leading to us leaving without her being seen. When I took her to her registered vet they found a piece of Nyla bone lodged in her gum which is over 3 cm long, leading me to believe how pathetic the service is, as this trained professional who was informed that our dog may have picked up something on a walk chose not to look into her mouth and instead just purely perform a triage (our other vet propped open her mouth and the obstruction was clearly visible) purely goes to speak of how unprofessional this was and how much of a money grab. I wouldn’t be upset if there wasn’t an actual critical threat to our pets health, but had this not been treated any earlier there would’ve been serious risk to our dog. During our visit the vet did not notice there was a foreign object lodged into her gum is pathetic.

Thankfully I was on edge enough to follow up with my own vet but I don’t know what the state of a dog might have been if I followed the original veterinarian’s instruction.

Dr. Dabhia has been my dog's very for over 6 years. His love for animals and the care and attention that he gives to them is astoning. My dog even has a slip disc and he was able to treat him with medication instead of having to send him in for back surgery. All his staff are very friendly and love bonding with your pets. I highly recommend Bristol Veterinary Hospital! An added bonus is they're open 7 days a week!

Took my dog here for her cancer tumor surgery and Dr. Dhabia and the team were beyond incredible. They were so empathetic and caring, and took great care of her. After her surgery she was acting like a puppy again! Also, their prices are incredibly reasonable and they don’t try to scam you into more tests than you need. Unfortunately I had to take my dog back and discovered she had advanced lung cancer, and they recommended putting her down and I could tell they were upset by it too. Which I appreciated.
Dahlia passed a couple of months later naturally, RIP, and we’re forever grateful to the team at Bristol Vet for extending her life by almost a year.

I took my cat here recently too to get a regular checkup done and they were amazing handling him. He’s a feisty hissy cat but with them he was perfectly fine. They were even able to trim his nails! I haven’t been able to do that in the 9 years I’ve had him because he gets aggressive when we touch his paws. I don’t know what magic their team does but everyone who works there is genuinely caring about animals and you can really tell. They have become my permanent vet clinic, after over a decade of trying a dozen different clinics that fell short in some way or other. Bristol Vet gets a 5/5 across the board. I am telling everyone I know to switch to them.

They treated my dog right with friendly staff. I find that they also don't "over-prescribe" like other often vets do.

The staff at Bristol are kind and helpful. Though caring for my pup is a pretty expensive endeavor, the staff at Bristol make the money worth it by calling ahead and after surgeries and by staying on top of things. My family only trusts Bristol. Thanks for taking care of Jasper for me

We have been taking our dog here since we have had him and always had a pleasant experience. Dr Dhabia and his staff are very professional and courteous.
Their charges are reasonable compared to other clinics around the GTA and they have a pretty decent setup.

I have nothing but good things to say about the Bristol Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Dabhia and his team always treated my dog, Hercules, with the utmost care and attentiveness! They always made sure to do what was best for my pup, and ensure everything was explained to us in a way that we understood. Thank you for everything you do.

The vet only seems to care about money, rather than the health or safety of animals. He would seem disinterested or unwilling to answer questions, or gave very short answers without much explanation. Also, the amount of hidden fees they try to add into your bill is disgusting.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend you take your pet here. They seem like they prioritize money over the health of animals.

Needed to bring my dog to see a vet as my regular vet was away. I was able to get an appointment the same day and have my dog treated right away. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The important part for me was that I was allowed to accompany my dog during the exam and not just leave him and wait outside during the exam (with regards to Covid protocols that is). My pup was also comfortable here as well. Very happy with the service provided and the treatment my dog received.

Vetenarian Dabhia saved my 7 months old puppy’s eye! This vet hospital is amazing! I had a previous did eye surgery from an vet at Tomken and Rathburn and they did the eye surgery incorrectly. I was recommended through my friend to go see the Bristol hospital because she said they were amazing and she was correct. They fixed his eye and now he is doing great his eye looks so much better and it cost less then the other vet. I deeply appreciate how they took care of my dog and Veterinarian Dabhia was so caring and kind. And very knowledgeable and experienced. My dog is not suffering anymore. The staff was friendly and helpful great team. My dog is a boxer Doberman. This vet is great for large breed dogs. Thanks so much Dabhia you truly love animals and the best Bristol hospital team!

I found the doctors to be very accommodating. The time is taken listen, answer questions and provide options. We really do trust the team with our animals.

My dog ate chocolate and I was worried so I called the Bristol Veterinary Hospital. The receptionist was a pleasure to speak with and she was able to guide me towards the best course of action. I was informed that the kind of chocolate and the amount of it was harmless to the dogI have. I was relieved and she was right. My dog is fine and alive. I'm forever grateful to the Bristol Veterinary Hospital for putting both my and my wife's mind at ease. We were worried that we would lose our dog.

READ ALL THE NEGATIVE COMMENTS AS WELL, YOU'LL SEE THE PATTERN. I wish i could share a negative starred review against this clinic. Despite the clinic's reputation, they aren't as they seem. Let me explain, about a month or so ago, i brought my cat in because he was experiencing trouble while urinating, which was diagnosed as a UTI, Dr. GP Dabhia ran a urine test in his back lab, got the results and immediately prescribed my kat medication (1 antibiotic, 1 urethra soothing oral tablet). Ultimately, i was in and out of the clinic in 10 minutes.told me that within 5-7 days, the bacteria should disappear and his behaviour should be back to normal, no need for a follow up, that was it. A month later, today, my cat is in the hospital because this Dr. GP Dabhia, a seemingly incompetent vet, decided to have prescribed him the WRONG antibiotics (the one he sent us home with did absolutely nothing, my cat's bacterial infection withstood this specific antibiotic and would block another 13 different types) How do i know this? Because a urine culture was done by another vet of mine, i didn't trust Dr. GP Dabhia's diagnosis from the start. He barely looked at the cat, asked me literally 1-2 questions, and sent me on my way. Now, i would like to inform anyone who visits or thinks of visiting this clinic, BEWARE, AND DO NOT. Do your research because cheaper and affordable prices do not always mean high quality service. His incompetence in this matter, and other ones that i've been informed about, is nothing new. He's a seasoned senior who takes 40+ clients a day, and that should tell you that he couldn't care less about your pet, he's after the $$. Next, when i called the office weeks ago to get my pet's medical history transferred to another clinic, he declined, asking why, such and such, ended up never receiving my cat's medical history. To this day, he hasn't called back to check on my little one, and now he's fighting for his life in a hospital due to Dr. GP Dabhia's absolute lack of competence. Mind you, the clinic has a policy of not letting people in during covid, yet still letting some patients in with their pets, and refusing others, making them wait outside (see the discrimination?). After calling this disrespectful senior of a doctor (what a shame it is to say doc before his name) to request for a refund, he yelled and screamed over the phone before telling me that he will call the police if i show up at his practice asking for a refund. Now, all i wish is, that others in my situation, whether your pet has small or large critical needs, do not visit this clinic. As all they care about is completing the bare minimum work needed to collect a couple bucks. I couldnt be more honest with you folks, i wanted to curse on this review, however i hold myself to higher standards, and to say the least. DO NOT VISIT THIS CLINIC, ESPECIALLY Dr. GP Dabhia.wrong diagnosis, wrong meds, wrong attitude, he's the worst.

Dr. Dahbia is great. Very caring. His front desk admintrative team however- particularly the male receptionist is vert curt and unempathetic. People care about their pets and worry when they are not well as pets can not talk. My experience is that his front desk fails to understand this aspect. Bedside/phone manner should definitely be addressed.

I can't speak highly enough about these guys. The staff are so sweet with our dog each and everytime we go. The vets are also good people and do their best to provide top notch service at a fair and reasonable price where they can. They even gave our dog Lucky the cutest bandaid! We joked that he also got his covid shot.

They agreed to move up our appointment by one day even though we’ve not been there before. When we arrived, we were greeted by very professional staff and the overall impression we were left with was excellent!

Love everyone here, the vet techs and vets are great with my dog Korra. She's scared of going to the vet ever since she was spayed but they handle her with such care and love. They put my worries at ease. I travel 30 minutes in traffic to come to Bristol Veterinary Hospital and it's definitely worth it.

Simply put, a tremendous practice with affordable pricing. More importantly, we can tell they care for our Cats. We have been with them for 3-4 years now with Gryphon, Lightning, Phoenix SR and Phoenix JR.and the only tings that has ever frustrated me is that they are to busy. Dr Dhabia has always been top draw regarding diagnosis and explanation on any given situation. Upon noticing that our cat has been coughing, we took her to a vet emergency hospital. We waited several hours and was told that she was probably experiencing an excess of fluid buildup in her lungs that may have been related to a heart problem. We took our cat home with some medication, but her condition only worsened overtime. Due to her suffering, we considered that it was time to put her down, and so we went to Bristol Veterinary Hospital.
Before they went through with euthasization, they did a quick check up and concluded that she only has cat asthma. They gave her medications and she improved quickly. If it weren't for the staff, we wouldn't be home with our cat now.
For that, my family and I are grateful to Dr. Dabhia and staff. They are friendly, honest, caring, and affordable.

The staff and Doctor are amazing. Moved our cat from another vet and I got answers to all my questions. The cat was so calm and comfortable in their clinic, awesome!

After being wrongly diagnosed, by another vet, Bella was getting worse, when I decided to get a second opinion and was referred to Dr Dhabia. He took his time to understand the situation, and Bella started on a different treatment. Dr Dhabia took the time to teach me how to feed her, since that she hadn't eaten fir 5 days.
Bella is great now and I can't thank Dr Dhabia enough for saving her life. Prices are very reasonable and I can feel they do what they love doing.

I received a kitten on Wednesday May 19 th. Due to a new environment he had stopped eating. On the Saturday of the long weekend I tried to get someone to see him. I called 5 different vets and was only able to leave messages. This was the only vet to return my call. They gave excellent advice even though they couldn't see him. My kitten is now eating. Thank you so much

Very happy with the level care provided. Non judgemental attitude and was very thorough explaining what they were going to do during the examination. Did the blood test and got the results back in 15 minutes. The doctor explained everything in detail and was very easy to understand.
Everyone was friendly and seem to enjoy their job - very rare indeed! I have kept either a cat or dog since the 80s and there is always one employee either at the clinic or hospital that is condescending and judging you with that smug look on their face you just want to punch, but not here. Very happy I discovers this place. Good job who ever is the one that assembled this team here.

Bristol hospital has always been great over the years. They took care of our cat and now our dog. They are gentle and caring, and always call to check in after care.

We first met Dr. Dabhia 3 yrs ago when our precious cat Chewbacca fell ill. Dr. Dabhia did everything to save her but ultimately helped us say goodbye. 2 years ago we adopted a new cat, Cinnamon, and Bristol was the first place we took her, knowing she would be in good hands. Now, only a few weeks ago, our dog Peaches had emergency sugery to remove bladder stones and the care she received was absolutely exceptional.   They are professional,   compassionate and honest. Their prices are reasonable and fair. Thank you Dr. Dabhia and staff for all that you do.

Update from 2019 review: Have been going here for years. Caring vets and staff with very reasonable prices. I trust them with everything and highly recommend them for any dog age (puppy to very senior), vaccinations, neutering (had both a male and female dog done and had good follow up after), surgery (our older dog had eye surgery here years ago and prices were better than another vet and he recovered quickly), or any other pet needs. Sad that we moved to another province and now I have to find a new vet. I haven’t had as good experiences with other vets so far when my dog got sick. I would have stayed with them forever. Highly recommend them for all your pet needs.

Last night my declawed cat escaped outside in dark and returned home after 45 mins with limping on one side and bleeding on front leg. I got scared. He was hiding all night under the bed. Today first thing in morning, I called Bristol Vet hospital (as my usual vet was closed on Sunday). First they said they’re fully booked but after hearing about my hurt cat the told me to bring him in. He was seen by Dr Dhobia. Service was quick n efficient. Dr came outside to explain the situation that Momo must have attacked by another cat and couldn’t defend himself. He was very knowledgable and compassionate. Didn’t push us for unnecessary tests. We were done within 25-30 mins. From now on I’m only going to this clinic for my cat Momo. Another plus point.it’s 3 mins drive from my home

I was quoted 1700.00 for surgery for my cat who had bladder stones wanted a second quote so I contacted bristol vet.and they quoted me 1200.00 + hst so we agree before surgery was done they checked again and there was nothing there no surgery needed, thank you bristol vet.for being honest

Dr. Patel was knowledgeable and very helpful in the treatment of my cat. Correct medications were given and the clinic handled the care of my cat in covid times very well. Thank you!

I highly recommend Bristol Veterinary Hospital. I am so grateful to Dr. Dhabia and all the staff at this hospital for everything they did to help our newly adopted doggie Rico who suffered with Ulcerated Tumor. It was really bad when we got to this hospital. The previous owners used two other Vets and emergency hospital, spent a lot of money and neither of them wanted to do the right thing to help until the situation got so bad. We were recommended this hospital and was desperate for some help.

Dr. Dhabia was willing to help and He did an amazing job with emergency surgery and treatment same day. Within 3 weeks Rico is back to normal. Dr. Dhabia also preform Neutering on him all at the same time. Rico is no longer suffering, we are not suffering and worried about his health. I think its a miracle that we found this hospital and this doctor. Dr. Dhabia is very confident in his ability to do his job and I appreciate how he communicated the process and the procedure with us and he answered all of our questions. I will definitely be returning if we need any service from a vet.

Dr. Dhabia and all his staff are great! They're so welcoming and friendly. A lot of meds and treatments are the actually the same for dogs and humans and as someone who works in healthcare, I can confidently say that Dr. Dhabia doesn't just order or recommend unnecessary treatments and testing for more money like other vets do. His rationales make sense. The only bad thing I have to say is that he doesn't much enough health teaching or explaining so do ask questions. Your pet is in good hands though!

I first came out here as I couldn't see my normal vet. I've now started coming out here regularly when I have issues. The vets here have been wonderful. I have never felt like they were trying to rip me off and they've always wanted to try to easiest solution before invasive testing or exams - which has worked every time (compared to my vet which is crazy $$$$$). And I've received follow up calls as well which has been a nice surprise. The vets and staff are accommodating and pleasant to deal with, which is welcome especially when in a stressful situation. I would definitely recommend.

I have had 2 bad experiences with Dr. Dabhia; the first was when he diagnosed my 2 year old dog with a bladder infection and said that she would always need to be on a special diet specifically prescribed by him. When I asked if changing her food to another brand would help, he said no. However, I took it upon myself to try another food brand and my dog has thankfully had no UTIs since. The second problem was when she had an ‘anal sac infection’ and Dr. Dabhia operated on her early June 2020 and gave her pain medication and antibiotics. She was still swollen after she finished all her meds and the cut was constantly bleeding. I took her back to see Dr. Dabhia, he wanted to charge me more money to check her wound, I responded that she has yet to heal from the operation and I didn’t understand why I had to pay again, he then told me to go to another vet and walked away. I tried to call him and he coldly, with an annoyed tone advised that, her poor healing had nothing to do with him and prescribed her a higher dose of antibiotics for another 2 weeks. It has now been almost 3 months and she is still not healed. Dr. Dabhia cares more about money than he does about your pet! I highly suggest that you go elsewhere!

I love this animal hospital. I feel that they genuinely care about my dog and I completely trust them with him.

They are courteous and professional. Also, they’re incredibly hardworking! They always seem to be so busy but never make you feel like they are rushing you.

The doctors at this vet are completey incompetent in every review I've read that shows how incompetent their practice is they try to justify things by putting words into their customers mouths and saying that a trained professional aka the expert who supposedly has studied for many years the anatomy of animals wasn't able to properly diagnose certain things because normal people in distress of their loved one who've never went to veterinary school werent able to explain it to them correctly I don't know who writes these owner responses from Bristol but they really need to take a look at themselves and stop putting words into customer mouths and take accountability and give a straight-up apology instead of just trying to make their business look better in the spot light it's sad to hear.also years of schooling to becoming a vet does not mean you have the right to be condescending to your clients take accountability and when you do not know what is wrong with the animal please do not feed your ego by just giving any advice to make a sale of medication and actually tell the customer to go see the real professionals at an emergency hospital that are stright up cause they are not scared about losing a potential sale but instead are there to save our animals lives no matter the cost or energy I hope the only response I get is an apology and that in the future you'll be honest with your clients and not degrade them in a time of need Bristol you need stop putting words into people's mouths and maybe figure out this might not be the right business for you.

Just a side note if Dr. Dabhia is reading this I hope you can shift your focus from filling your pockets with money and actully doing what you worked and studied so long to do. Help poor innocent animals get better: (

I brought my puppy here for his first three vaccinations and we have never had any problems. The staff is very nice and helpful and the prices are reasonable. My dog is usually nervous around new people but he loves everyone here. They also respond to emails quickly which is great! I will continue to bring my dog here as our experiences have been nothing but positive!

Went in for a emergency for my dog. Was seen very quickly. Answered all my questions. Did my surgery for my dog. The staff is very friendly.

I had a negative experience with Bristol when I brought in my dog. He was having issues walking, kept panting and showing discomfort when trying to sit. The doctor took him inside and came back after 5 minutes to show us the X-ray he took and proceeded to state his legs are fine and not sure why he can’t walk properly. Advised us to let him rest and come back if he does not show any improvement. I was not satisfied with the diagnosis as he started to get worse. We took him to emergency and the doctors there advised he needed surgery. It wasn’t that there was anything wrong with his legs but it was a spinal disease! I would give zero stars if I could.
Misdiagnosed the situation, provided wrong next steps and did not show that he genuinely cared for my dog.
Very disappointing.

Great system in covid that keeps everyone safe. Willing to accomodate if needed. So hard to find a good vet but im glad we are set!

The receptionist (Kathleen) is very rude. Clearly she’s not customer service proficient. I called numerous of times throughout the day only to be left on hold. 31 mins one time, another time 23 mins before I hang up. One of the times, I was on hold and after 17 mins she picked up the phone and hang up. Im in the customer service industry and this would never be tolerated. I would have rated the establishment with a 5 star but the lack of friendly service at the front desk, I give them 3 stars.

Our shiba inu was having very bad food allergy triggered skin infection. We went to several doctors before coming to Bristol, and we are fortunate enough to have muji completely cured. The doctor also did a stunning cosmetic surgery on muji's leg to prevent skin infection scar expansion. The surgery was paired with the spay, and both had very awesome outcomes, and most importantly, speedy recovery from muji.
