Mis-diagnosed my cat and insisted on an xray, which costs my over $1000. Very disappointed and looking for a new vet.

Top notch skill and service! Dr. Torabi rearranged a busy schedule to accommodate an emergency surgery for my dog. Excellent follow-up care and the technicians and assistants are awesome. The vet and staff are always helpful and take amazing care of my cat and dog whenever we are in for annual checkups, vaccines, or any unexpected health issues that need attention. Highly recommended!

Stay away from this place far far away. Don’t know what they did to my puppy but now she is very afraid of people So much so she will not go near other people.

Well I may be broke now, but at least my dog got treated, blood tests done and has his antibiotics to get better. Staff are very nice there and thorough with my animals.

I am new to the area and I called this morning concerned because my dog has lost Vision in one eye and they were able to take me immediately. The doctor and his staff were very thorough and wonderful with my poor scared dog. I highly recommend this clinic. Five stars

The team here is fantastic, friendly, and caring. We’ve been bringing our pets here for 3 years now, never had a negative encounter.

We adopted our chocolate lab, Cora, in December 2021. I chose Britannia Heights Vet Clinic due to location as it's in our neighbourhood, I'm so happy with the care we have received here! The staff is a dream and Cora loves going in to the clinic. With COVID protocols she would happily go off at the door with a wagging tail and come back equally as happy.

Today was the first time I was in the clinic since restrictions have lifted and the care & attention is A+.

Cost is comparable to other vet clinics in city, we went to a different clinic with our previous dog.

We’re very happy with the care from Dr. Torabi and the team at Britannia Heights Veterinary Clinic. Our dog’s surgery was explained thoroughly and different cost options were presented to us up front beforehand. She was well cared for and is doing great!

Met this vet, because my little sister started working there. They tried their hardest to make my sick little fur baby better. I’ve never had a veterinarian clinic check up on their patients parents ever. Will be sending the rest of my animals there

Vets lack knowledge and will charge for every visit even without a resolution being provided. After many visits I tried an other vet and had my issue resolved in one appointment and saved about 1600$

They are a very friendly staff but good god, $400 for a visit and an x-ray just to be told that I should get a second opinion. And that's not even including the $300 medication they suggested that I simply can't afford right now.

They run a good operation but I can't give any more than three stars because I basically had to choose between rent and care for my cat. I don't believe all vets are this expensive and when I said I didn't have the $$ there was no opportunity to work with a payment plan or reduced fare for people with lower income. If they are all like this, then I guess that changes my review but that was unreal

I went in to get a tick prescription for my dog and they wrote him one for a brand that they also happened to sell, so I purchased it directly from them - but had to wait as it’s on back-order. When I got home and researched the brand, I saw that the exact same tick medication was sold for a much lower price than the one I purchased from the vet. I called them to cancel the medication order and request the prescription for it so I could purchase it from elsewhere, such as Chewy, which I didn’t think would be an issue. However, I was aggressively told that they wouldn’t send me the prescription that I’ve already paid for because the ones not sold at their office “all come from China! ” in a very racist tone. This is simply not true. It is the same medication that is instead sold at a reasonable price at a reputable company online. They then refused to offer prescription as this was the primary reason for visit. I would have to go elsewhere to buy a prescription after paying $92 for the exam. The only reimbursement they offered was for the back-ordered medication, but that they won’t send me the prescription for it based on the ridiculous belief that if I don’t get it from them then the medication is “from China’’ and therefore must be “dangerous. ” I am now left without a prescription that I’ve already paid for, which they refuse to send me and are trapping me into purchasing it directly from them at a much higher price.

I am so disappointed by not only their greedy sales tactics but by the blatantly racist comments made by the manager.

This is a welcoming small clinic owned and operated by a single vet. Dr. Torabi and his staff are good caring people who seem to be genuinely concerned about my dog. They don't try to upsell you and they respect my approach to caring for my senior dog. I have been taking my dogs to them for several years and I will continue to do so in the future.

This vet has taken thousands of dollars from me to continuously tell me what they “think” the issue is. Very unprofessional clinic, the Dr. Sometimes not reply to my emails sometimes for several days and do not instruct me properly on how to give my pets medication. The doctor asks me the same questions “do you smoke in the house” on ever visit, they simply do not remember their clients. The reception admits they are overworked and understaffed. I have a VERY sick kitty and they are continuously prescribing antibiotics instead of figuring out what the problem is itself. After being a client there for three years they’ve suggested I relocate my services after my last $500 bill and the comment “it’s possibly feline asthma but perhaps you should get a second opinion”.

If I could express the absolutely horrendous lack of care, and greed this place has. No respect for the pet owners that come in with their sick pets, practically stealing hundred and thousands of dollars and not taking the time to even look at the animals properly or giving correct course of treatments. I had a friend deal with these shameful people for months trying to figure out why her normally very healthy cat was getting sick, and each time she returned because treatments they were prescribing was not working in fact dramatically getting worse. All the way to the point of causing her cat seizures due to over medicating and not only over medicating, PRESCRIBING DOG MEDICATION TO A SMALL YOUNG CAT. Lying, telling her she needs to spend thousands more just to get answers from a neurologist after seizures started. I told her to get a second opinion and the other vet said that what she was prescribing her was essentially killing her and she did not have anything of what this place told her her cat had. Simply a cold turned into a detrimental mental, physical harm and stress to both the cat and her owner. I would never in my life tell anyone to even walk near this place. I would be lying if I said I was mad at this place; it outright disgusts me. Close your doors you shouldn't be touching pets period.

My beloved Sophie had a kidney stones surgery and the Vet and the staff did an amazing job. She is doing excellent today. Thank you all for being so kind and professional.

I wanted my cat neutered and I was charged 400$ for unrelated tests and expenses and he hasn't been neutered. They then proceeded to tell me they need to do more blood work to see how much it will be. I'll be going elsewhere for the procedure because I'm not interested in paying over $1000 for a $200 surgery

We have been taking our Family pets to Britannia Heights veterinary clinic since 1995. When the clinic changed hands we continued going to the clinic and are quite pleased to see that Dr. Torabi and his friendly staff continue to perform outstanding service for our two rescued companions Roxy (Black lab) and Diego. Small, local and friendly staff that perform great care, can't ask for anything more.

Dr. Torabi has treated both my dog and cats and I am pleased with him. I got an emergency visit that gave me so much relief I almost cried. His staff are wonderful. Thought I'd never like a vet as much as I liked my last vet and I was wrong.

Great staff always friendly and hours are good if you live somewhat near by. Highly recommend as they are very trustworthy and the place is always clean.

I have taken both my cats to this vet and have always been pleased with the experience. One visit my cat had asphyxiated lungs which was life threatening and their care saved my cats life. The vet also follows up with phone calls to see how your pet is doing with treatment. I am not sure how their costs compare but they are my closest vet, each service they perform they note the cost along the way so you are aware of the charges.
I also find the vet tech, the front desk and the vet to be very gentle and caring with my animals which puts them at ease when they are stressed. I find they really like animals and point out the positive qualities of your animal while trying to find the best treatment for your pet's issue.

Never again. I have barely any income bad social anxiety and they totally took advantage of me. I went in for allergy meds for my dog and ended up walking out of there with a bill of almost $400! Never again. They made me buy dewarming and flea/tick treatments also, which my dog didn't even need because she had already had all that done recently. According to them, the ones she got weren't a good enough brand. WHO CARES anout the brand!? All about the money those people. They even made me buy a bag of dog treats which I DID NOT NEED! They're nice and all but I would have paid $150 tops in Hull or Gatineau.

Love, love, love this Veterinary Hospital they were very friendly to me and my dog. My dog Juno was in 3 weeks ago to be spayed, they took amazing care of her, her incision scar is absolutely perfect. If you didn't know she had surgery you wouldn't even notice her scar. I would highly recommend this Veterinary Hospital to all. The Vets and staff are very friendly and know their jobs. They do great work. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of my Juno.

I am very happy with the service provided by Dr Alex Torabi and his team to my dog. After calling a lot of places they accepted to see her. She had a mass on one of her legs that had been growing for quite sometime but the last vet that she saw didn't removed it even thought I asked to be removed. Well my dog is great, I am very pleased with the place and the service they gave us. It's very clean, they see you st the time of your appointment, you don't have to be waiting with other animal around. I feel they really provide the highest standard of care for your pet. Has a good support team, always available to answer any questions you may have regarding your pets health.

I have a rescue dog that I've been battling her behaviour and anxiety issues, the vet and veterinary assistant were very patient and understanding, and have helped my dog and I understand eachothers needs more.

After calling tons or vets and animal hospitals near me.all were busy including the one we regularly see. This location was able to see me within hours. I took my Jack Russell who was having bladder issues and they were able to do everything they need to help my baby girl. They loved her and even played fetch with her.from the moment we walked through door we were treated with love and care from the get go! I highly recommend this this clinic if you and your pets want to be treated as gold. I’ll definitely be back.

The front desk staff are apathetic. They did an invasive test without advising me of the cost.

I take my terrier here and she absolutely loves everyone at the clinic, I’ve never seen a dog excited about going to the vet before.

Just had my kittens spayed, neutered and declawed. They were well looked after by the great staff. You can tell they really care just by talking to them and how I got my kittens back they are in great shape. Unlike other reviews they were not over priced and did not seem like it was about the money. I will go back and I will definitely recommend them. Marty and Mitsey send their thanks.

My dog needed surgery to remove a lump, which I agreed to. The call I was waiting for to tell me she had made it through was asking if I wanted her teeth clean while she was still under anesthesia! And that would be another $400.00! She just had her teeth cleaned and if they looked they would have noticed that. (Luckily not by them). When I picked her up I asked to speak to the vet but he was gone. On the Monday I received a follow up call from vet tech. Again asked to speak to the vet. He wasn't available and never received a call back. Totally unprofessional. Didn't sit right with me. Only after money

The staff friendly, give puppies run of the entrance, Vet knowledgable AMD professional and friendly, treated puppy with gentleness, gave traits, shots were quick and price reasonable.
