Great campground and the closest thing nearby to heading up north. Beautiful nature in the summer and amazing biking/hiking trails that go through vast fields and along a huge ravine.

Nice quiet campground which has some pretty good campsites. The place is too close to 2 major cities but this can be an advantage too for someone from outside of Toronto and GTA who would like to explore the area without spending too much money on accommodation. It is a family friendly campground too.
For people living in GTA this campground and park provides a safe and easy way to try out camping. If you forget something at home or the weather has changed you can return home anytime. Great learn-to-camp location for families.

I have visited my fair share of Provincial Parks and was quite skeptical of one so close to the GTA and the city. I was pleasantly surprised! The camping area is a very nice mix of forest and meadow and was quite woods-y despite its location. I will definitely be back - it is a smaller park but definitely worthwhile and convenient if you are coming from the city for a short trip or looking for a camping option while visiting Toronto.
(The entrance to the Camping Area and Day Use Area are different - so you do have to leave the park to access some of the trails and attractions, including access to the Creek itself. I had no issues with this, but it is good to know going in.)
